Our Daily Spread June 1, 2011

Jun 1, 2011 by

Advice is about accepting changes of all sorts, and about helping another person to change for the better, or at least to clean up (his) act and have acceptable behavior. There is a hurry to this. We also have an emphasis on written documents regarding agreements being certified and official, and time being of the essence, which is a legal term. The boyfriend commits and runs away – another in the list of changes.

=========================================================================

Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do:

*Go to Daily Message Tarot Analysis below. At least one of those sentences has something to say to you. Pick those out. They are about you and the people around you. They are about today and the days around it. (It is a group message like a horoscope, except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data, so it can be specific, accurate, detailed and direct. Our experiment here is “How much more accurate is it?”)

The Question for weekdays is: “Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.”

The Question for weekends is stated right on top on those days.

(Some days are ‘keep an eye open for’ and some days are ‘green light, go fast.’)

*Go to Advice to apply what those sentences say (in the best way) for you. (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.) Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information!

An offer comes to get out of the same old thing over and over.

Public Change Perspective

Many changes all of a sudden that you accept as normal quickly.

There are a number of changes we accept as normal.

A list of things we accept as the new normal direction.

Accept all the changes from the Establishment.

Well, all these suggestions are a sudden departure from the expected.

Documents Perspective

Meanings and Illustrations: Observation of the Spread

Two of the Rider Waite Tarot cards mean quickly – Eight of Wands and Knight of Swords. Eight of Wands means communication, talk, a list of things, and written. Knight of Swords means rush, and back and forth.

The two others mean being an acceptable person – Knight of Cups and Hierophant. Knight of Cups means to accept, to request or suggest, friend/friendly, and, of course, the boyfriend. Hierophant means official, Establishment, decent, respectable, church(y), and ‘officially’ as in certified or labeled.

The key card here is Knight of Swords because it is the action of the three, and all it means is to hurry, to go back and forth, to pursue or flee. So we don’t have much of a narrative, but these snippets are meaningful to some visitors here, I am willing to bet.

Meanings and Illustrations: Individual Rider Waite Tarot Cards

Knight of Cups is the friend, friendly fellow, affectionate fellow, nice guy, good guy, boyfriend, civilized person, agreeable person, polite person, cooperative person. It is also about acceptance, accepting, suggesting, agreeing to, getting along with.

His illustration expresses ‘soft’ through curved lines, pale colors, the peaceful stream, and his right hand having not the usual weapon but a cup. His helmet has wings on it suggesting Mercury (the messenger). His horse is a merry-go-round horsey.

Eight of Wands means hurry, many, writings, messages, more and more, repeated or ‘over and over.’ It is one of the Rider Waite Tarot cards that in Tarot Verbatim ™ shows up more often than random distribution.

Its illustration is the least expressive of all the Tarot cards. It simply shows the sprouted boards flying through the air one above another in such a pattern as to suggest lines on paper.

Hierophant’s meanings derive from the difference between the actual and the public tenets of the Roman Catholic church: the official story, the pagentry and ceremony is window dressing, and there are meanings and operations and beliefs the common parishioner isn’t privy to. It’s main meaning is the official story, appearances, respectability, the rules, and church or churchy.

So its illustration is the monks bareheaded (and bald!) kneeling to the pope. ‘Hierophant’ means pope.

Knight of Swords whizzes by in pursuit of; or flees from; or hurries back and forth. In this spread, it is the movement of documents or the changing of life direction as to respectability that is the subject of the whizzing.

His illustration shows the knight with sword in air leaning into his horse’s head, his headdress and the horse’s mane flying, and the horse’s limbs outstretched in full flight. He is pursuing something to kill, in the illustration; but his meaning often is about running away or fleeing, as well as about a back and forth movement, or whizzing back and forth at high speed. This could be your boy (or even girl) friend driving back and forth frantically checking out your driveway.

Yeah it fits what’s happening in my life. Emily, how about a weekend question about money, like where are we going wrong with money, or what can we do to feel good in this economy, or money where art thou?

    • Hmmm. June the 18th, I will see what I get, whether it makes enough sentences and is worthwhile. My initial effort is advice to cooperate rather than compete, to put heads together, get a group together that can share.

  2. Brittney

The Romanic part of the reading makes sense to me today. I feel like my guy is back and forth, he lacks a lot of emotion he rarely shows affection and I’m questioning if I am wasting my time. I came back from vacation the other day and he didn’t rush to see me, he’d rather watch the game…MEN! Makes me want to move right on!

  3. ME

Talk nicely in a friendly way to change things.
    I try…but I guess I need to try harder.

This spread speaks to the two main issues I’m pondering this am.
A variety of views, guess it’s ultimately up to us… perspective
    is everything.
    Thanks, Emily

Boyfriend leaves every time he commits. Yeah, sounds about right.

  7. Sue

Oh my goodness. You have a documents reading today, and it is so, so, relevant.
