Our Daily Spread June 14, 2011

Advice. A mother concerns herself with relating to her child and his support, and her ability to make a good living in business at associate level. Then we have the finance of romance, including whether being with this person holds you back. Whether this fellow is too young or just out for fun for you to be serious about him. Upshot of all this? Know where you are at with a partner, as to what the relationship is.

Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do:

*Go to Daily Message Tarot Analysis below. At least one of those sentences has something to say to you. Pick those out. They are about you and the people around you. They are about today and the days around it. (It is a group message like a horoscope, except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data, so it can be specific, accurate, detailed and direct. Our experiment here is “How much more accurate is it?”)

The Question for weekdays is: “Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.”

The Question for weekends is stated right on top on those days. You can suggest questions, either in comments or by telephone.

(Some days are ‘keep an eye open for’ and some days are ‘green light, go fast.’)

*Go to Advice to apply what those sentences say (in the best way) for you. (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.) Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information!

She has the right idea: This is a boy-toy relationship.

She knows their joint money can be spent on fun things.

To be successful and have money, she knows, means breaking free the person she is with.

She knows he is to young to be her equal, but that’s perfect.

*Go to the second Meanings and Illustrations. It is what each of the four cards, by itself, has to say. It describes how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in this Spread.

Meanings and Illustrations: Observation of the Spread

Our four today are the nice lady who understands and knows, the Queen of Cups; the child or playboy (or fun); the relationship or partner or associate, Temperance; success, money and the right way.

Queen of Cups is her understanding her man, and Temperance is a one-on-one relationship. That is it for themes today.

Meanings and Illustrations: Individual Rider Waite Tarot Cards

Queen of Cups knows her man, knows, understands, has figured out, is thinking. She is the nice lady. She is pictured as staring dreamily at a funky-looking antique, leaning back in her chair which has water swirling prettily around it. And she is blonde.

Sun has a few categories of meanings. Free of restrictions. Leaving the home or house or building. Kid, child, baby, boy. Fun, play, playboy. Joy, yay, exhilaration. Freedom, free. There are more, but that is today’s plateful.

The illustration that gives rise to these meanings is a child (presumably boy because, you know, boys do these reckless things) sneaks out of the house and its rules, and is bareback on a wicked pony, not holding on. It’s summer and he is having a lot of fun for the moment.

Temperance is about communication, dealing with someone one-on-one – hence, a relationship – reciprocating/reciprocal, being an associate or associating, being a partner and having or being an intimate partner.

The illustration shows an angel pouring liquid (supposed to be wine) from one cup to the other. Tarot Verbatim ™ does not embrace the meanings this card ‘is supposed to ‘ have, which are dilution and healing. Dilution is pouring water into wine, and healing is the symbol on the angel’s chest. This card was added in the Middle Ages to make the deck non-threatening and respectable.

Ace of Pentacles is success, money, and the right anything, including – obviously – the right path. We see lilies planted in front of the straight and narrow path, leading to an archway with flowers blooming on it. Over it is a hand with the prize, or money in the hand.

“Her son is partnering up with someone she feels is right for him.”

As my son finishes up Kindergarten next week I was JUST thinking about how happy he is with the good friends he made this school year. I am so relieved that he made friends with some really nice kids. I think as mothers we’re always afraid our kids with fall in with the “wrong” crowd – even at 5 and 6 years old!

“She has Mr. Right in mind for a relationship, and has him figured as the ‘I just wanna have fun’ type.”

YES. He’s not the problem guy I am with right now. He’s a neighbor (and fellow single parent at school). I KNOW we’d be great together, and I suspect he knows this too. We have fabulous easy chemistry. But based on the string of women he has dated recently (usually way-too-young-for-him “fun/slutty” types) I can tell he’s not right for me — Ms. Serious.
