Our Daily Spread for December 23, 2011 Friday ©

Dec 23, 2011 by

Advice takes the tensions between a couple and compares it to the tensions between families.  It’s always two sides, you know …  The two sides expand to the neighborhood and then to the general situation.  Tarot presents the idea that the two factions are a repeating pattern greater than the sum of its parts,  that individuals,  couples,  neighbors and states engage one another in conflict because of the taste for the conflict more than for a cause or a reason.

(At the time of production,  there’s no way to correct the lack of spaces after punctuation.  I am writing around it now!)

Is this the first time you come here?  Well …  what to do:

*Go to Advice (above ) which is a summary of the Messages.  (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.)

*Go to Group Analytical Tarot Reading below .  One or more of those sentences has something to say to you.   Intuitively pick those out and decide whether to encourage or suppress them.   They are about you and the people around you.   They are about today and the days around it.   (It is a group message like a horoscope,   except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data,   so it can be specific,   accurate,   detailed and direct.   Our experiment here is   “How much more accurate is it?”)

Did you come here for your predictions? –   You are done now –   See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer,   four cards can mean contradictory things,   especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards.   Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible,   especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.   When a pronoun is in parentheses,   feel very free to substitute.   The question in a   ‘real’   individual reading supplies at least half the information!

Nine of Wands

Ten of Cups – Four of Wands – Eight of Wands

GROUP ANALYTICAL TAROT READING  Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.

Two Groups in Opposition (Ten of Cups/Four of Wands + Nine of Wands)

The two groups get on one another’s nerves more and more.

Increasing tension between the two families.

Worried about his two families talking to one another.

These two groups are more and more uncomfortable with one another.

A list of grievances is what the two sides of the family have in common.

The news makes the two communities see each other as a threat.

Threats are exchanged between the two factions.

Happy in a Tense Situation (Ten of Cups + Nine of Wands)

Make the fearful people in that company happy.

Happy news for the neighborhood under siege.

Members of the family who don’t trust one another get together for happy talk.

When those things are said, the fearful people in that group are happy.

Our Kind is Uneasy about Your Kind (Ten of Cups/Four of Wands + Nine of Wands)

Concerned that there will be more people in the neighborhood like those two families.

Dreading what the neighbors are going to say about our relatives.

Everybody talks about guarding the neighborhood from people like us.

People in this clan are so overwrought about what is being said about them.

Wedding/Marriage Jitters (Four of Wands/Ten of Cups + Nine of Wands)

A wedding in the family is one more thing to worry about.

Everybody is so concerned about what people will say about the wedding.

More nervous about a second marriage.

Under pressure of family disapproval, your marriage is happier.

We are saying to everybody our marriage is happy,  and having to live up to it.

Couple who face hard times often have happier marriages.

Talk of marriage makes the couple’s families nervous.

Everybody gets together at our house.  All those people are a lot of pressure.

Everybody is talking to everybody about their fears about this.

The news makes my family and yours distrust one another.

More people in the country are uneasy.

Now,  Part Two,

Do you want to know a little,  or a lot,  about how this Tarot Verbatim ™ thing works?  If so,

*Go to Meanings and Illustrations:   Learn Tarot by Observing section below.  This tells about the combined four pictures in the Daily Spread –   the pictures above here.   It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the message.

*Go to Meanings and Illustrations:   Learn Tarot by the Pictures.   It is what each of the four cards,   by itself,   has to say.   It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in this Spread.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim ™ works.

Say hello back!   Comment!   I spend two hours a day or more writing to you.  Please do share your experience about our experiment here if you have words for it.   Enjoy others’   comments.

And you can call me at 800 99 3 6 9 12,  from Eastern  1 p.m. to Eastern 3 a.m. at least,  every day.    (3-6-9-12 like a clock.    It makes a pattern on the phone as well –   easy to remember.)    You will enjoy your analysis of business and personal situations from a blended Tarot and sensible perspective.  (Testimonials are on the web site.  http://EmilysInsight.com.)

We start with the two happy marriage cards,  Ten of Cups –  which also means  ‘everybody,’  family,  people,  group and happy –  and Four of Wands –  which also means neighborhood,  wedding,  native country,  neighborhood,  members,  faction,  community,  group.  These two cards pretty much mean the same thing most of the time.  But put them together and they do come up with some phrases.

Eight of Wands is a list of things,  increasing,  frequent,  one after another,  and talk.  Nine of Wands is tension,  dread,  fear,  anxiety,  concern and so on.

So we are about the tension between a couple,  tension between families,  tension in the community –  often about two groups of people,  which of course suggests rivalry of two kinds of people.  Rivalry is not brought up by the cards here,  though.

Ten of Cups Happily ever after in suburbia with a boy and a girl,  a rainbow over the ranch house,  a couple hugs while the kids prance.  This is the good upstanding life in the good neighborhood as one of the good people.

Four of Wands Marriage in the formal sense,  wedding,  the leading families,  the community or native country. Pictured is a society wedding which is a community event.

Eight of Wands Usually a simple Rider Waite Tarot citizen meaning either communicating –  talk, messages,  writing –  or quickly –  or increasingly,  more and more.

Pictured are sprouting limbs flying one above another in the air,  looking sort of like lines on a page.

Nine of Wands guards the perimeter,  head bandaged from the last sortie,  feeling uneasy.  Tension,  anxiety,  fear,  dread,  guarding,  defensive,  feeling uncomfortable.

    Yeah there’s tension alright 🙁

    • Tis the season.
Members of a family get together with folks they would not associate with voluntarily around Thanksgiving into New Year’s.
Friction comes naturally to the scene.
We live through it … often every year!

  2. Wishing them the best of luck… it does me no good to do otherwise. I am happier now then when he and I had been together. Im good.

    • Picture dating as collecting pieces of people and putting them together like a puzzle. You find out which pieces make for a good experience for you and which don’t, which you like in a roommate and bedmate and which you don’t.
The more pieces you collect and put together, the closer you are to the person who is right for you.
So in a sense we date pieces of people.
The reason you feel good is, you have placed his pieces where they fit in your Mr. Right puzzle.
You can use this concept to construct the person you want to bring into your life: “I want him to be like Braveheart (in the movie) except he doesn’t have to conquer England and he can skip the blue paint on his face; and I want him to be nothing like Richard Nixon except he can be president if he really wants to.” You will meet a person like you project in this way.
If just do “I want to meet a person who is … and you list all the positive traits you can think of, which will be few, yes, you will meet someone like that but there will be things you forgot or didn’t think you had to say … like you want him to be sane, to be single, to live in the same county … been there!

      • Thanks Emily I will take ur advise and give it atry! Thank u Emily! Time for rest after a long day of work and driving to spend the holidays w loved ones! Merry Xmas and like the elk calendar!
