Our Daily Spread for January 20, 2011 Friday©

Advice  I am the one who picks up the pieces and puts them back together:  Stand back and watch me wade into the mess.  There’s the mentality that is overwhelmed when confronted by an out-of-control situation,  and there’s a mentality that gets out the vacuum cleaner for the debris.  Such are the people muggers do not notice.  Confidence you can handle this is often the whole battle!

Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do:

*Go to Advice (above ) which is a summary of the Messages. (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.)

*Go to Group Analytical Tarot Reading below.  One or more of those sentences has something to say to you.  Intuitively pick those out and decide whether to encourage or suppress them.  They are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it.  (It is a group message like a horoscope,  except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data,  so it can be specific,  accurate,  detailed and direct.  Our experiment here is  “How much more accurate is it?”)

Did you come here for your predictions? –  You are done now –  See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer,  four cards can mean contradictory things,  especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards.  Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses,  feel very free to substitute.  The question in a  ‘real’  individual reading supplies at least half the information!

Seven of Cups
Seven of Wands – Page of Pentacles – Strength

GROUP ANALYTICAL TAROT READING Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.

Straighten Out the Mess (Strength + Seven of Cups)

Realize how confused I am right now and am motivated to straighten it out.

She knows how to overcome whatever kind of situations she is faced with.

I know how to overcome whatever situations I am faced with.

I know how to prevent things falling apart here, so I am being very forceful.

I clean up messes foisted upon me: I see how to.

I am the one who picks up the pieces and puts them back together: Stand back and watch me wade into the mess.

Look at this mess we have to clean up: I can handle it!

Watch her clean up the mess she inherits!

He expects a melee but she overcame all the attackers with her influence.

She knows how to reduce whatever comes against her to defensive mode.

I know how to reduce whatever comes against me to defensive mode.

Make a conscious effort and overcome your own confusion.

You face your own internal demons and conquer them.

Realize you are here to clean up the overwhelming mess.

Realize you got yourself in this mess so you could get yourself out.

All kinds of issues are facing us to think about and overcome.

You know how to finesse all kinds of squirrely challenges.

I know a lot of ways a person can face down opposition that comes directly against one.

I am a student of defensive combat against demons who are on the attack.

He is/You are learning defensive spiritual combat from a master of it.

He watches her handle all kinds of mouthy opposition so deftly.

Examining how to straighten out the mess I am accused of making.

He is taken aback at the way she finesses all different kinds of opposition.

All the demons I know want nothing to do with a spiritual master.

Watches a spiritual master overcome attacking entities.

He knows he isn’t in control of own style as he watches a master overcome resistance.

Romance:  Strong Woman’s Influence on Him  (Page of Pentacle + Strength)

I/He can see ‘she isn’t going to let me mess with her.’

He admires strong women who can handle a high-pressure out-of-control scene.

He feels the pressures of all sorts of things, including things she keeps him from doing and being.

All the various ways her influence on him pressures him to be a good person.

He is the type who flies off the handle, ‘loses it,’ and he counts on her to keep him straight.

When he rants and raves, she shuts him up. “How does she do that?”

He does not want to face it (Seven of Wands + Page of Pentacles.)

There are a lot of things I know of that I don’t want to deal with myself.

He is the observer of the intrusion; it is she who makes them all behave.

He observes an outbreak of poltergeists; she handles the invasion.

Confronted by the parts of myself that are out of control, faced with controlling them.

I really thought I had a grip on this, but now that I confront it, it is something else entirely!

He panics when there is a scene but she handles it assertively.

He can see he is not welcome, lots of issues to get under control here.

Her overwhelming influence on him boggles his mind.

Self defense is on his mind as he watches her handle multiple attackers.

There is no way the principle of spiritual mastery makes sense: It is chaotic.

I am not even going to contemplate mastering spiritual combat.

Overcome (sales) resistance (Seven of Wands + Strength)

I know a lot of ways to push them and overcome their (sales) resistance.

He knows he isn’t in control of his pushiness as he watches a master overcome sales resistance.

He has in mind to sell them on something they don’t want, to overwhelm them until they lose control of their resistance.

Seven of Cups
Seven of Wands – Page of Pentacles – Strength

In the center, we have an observer, Page of Pentacles, one who thinks … whatever; and it also means a straight person who pays attention.

To the left of (him) is defense, pushiness, being faced with overwhelming opposition or a scene … confrontation (Seven of Wands).

To the right of him is a master of combat (including the reconciling of internal conflicts), possibly spiritual combat, finessing the opposition, and it is Strength, a female gender card. It means to put down an intrusion, attack or opposition diplomatically with the force of personality rather than overt force. To tame the foe or render it harmless deftly.

Over them all is mind-boggling chaos or confusion,  and ‘all kinds of things.’  A Seven of Cups melee.  It can be spirits out of control as well (Sorcerer’s Apprentice or Pandora’s Box story is the basis of this Rider Waite Tarot card.)

This is a story of a master finessing or controlling a conflict or combat that is not controllable, and someone is observing and drawing personal conclusions. Strength could mean this is an entirely internal conflict, a person finding it in him- or her- self to resist some internal demons. (Strength + Seven of Cups could mean ‘demon slayer.’)

Seven of Wands Rousted from sleep (He is wearing a nightshirt.) by neighbors who want to take over his land, he is confronted by overwhelming odds. Defending oneself or one’s belongings. The pushy, mouthy punk who wants to take over. The out-of-control hellraiser or teenager. The ‘I’m mad as hell and I won’t take it anymore’ mood.

Page of Pentacles observes and is thoughtful. A young person who is straight, has good intentions, and is studying the environment, taking it in. This is one of the ‘good guy’ cards in Rider Waite. It means ‘person’ as well as ‘guy.’

Strength has the experience and the standing to finesse conflict before it occurs, to tame the foe, to charm the opposition to make it behave, make it harmless. To render the enemy harmless before it gets to express itself. This is about spiritual maturity, spiritual standing: The ‘eternity’ symbol over her head, the white robe with the flowers are symbols of that. This is the person the muggers just don’t notice. (The symbol is from math, and it means a repeating number like one-third is .3333 on forever in decimal form.

Seven of Cups The gremlins are out, an outbreak.  The poop hits the fan.  All over the place.  A lot of unrelated stuff jumbled together like debris.  Out of control and overwhelming.  In Rider Waite Tarot, Seven of Pentacles is the Sorcerer’s Apprentice or Pandora’s Box story.  So we have an infestation of undesirable influences, whether physical or nonphysical.  Chaos and confusion.

I love this spread! Strength to handle anything! Thanks for sending me into the weekend smiling 🙂

    • Attitude is often all. If you have the attitude you have to do it, you likely will. If you think you have to, you do. I came back to a gym class after an illness. Coach says “Here’s six balls. See that chalked on the wall. Put all six balls RIGHT THERE.” She pointed to a dot in the center of several circles. The whole class was gathered around. I did it. Once I was a little off and once someone said “Boo” and it went maybe past the first line.
Everyone was dumbfounded. Just getting the balls in any one of the lines was passing. But I didn’t know that. She said ‘Put it THERE, so I did. Had I known that was not required, I probably would not have done it. See, we perfectionists rule.
