Advice   Twofold message here.  One is that to achieve your dream, vigilance pays, don’t let anything – any distraction, any dilution, anyone who feels entitled to a piece of you – get in the way.  A compromise is a threat when you know exactly what you want.  The other describes ruthless unscrupulous people who feel entitled to others’ time, emotions and possessions:  It’s about what they want.

Is this the first time you come here?  Well … what to do:

*Go to Advice (above ) which is a summary of the Messages. (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.)

*Go to Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading below.  One or more of those sentences has something to say to you.  Intuitively pick those out and decide whether to encourage or suppress them.  They are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it.  (It is a group message like a horoscope,  except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data,  so it can be specific,  accurate,  detailed and direct.  Our experiment here is  “How much more accurate is it?”)

Did you come here for your predictions? –  You are done now –  See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer,  four cards can mean contradictory things,  especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards.  Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses,  feel very free to substitute.  The question in a  ‘real’  individual reading supplies at least half the information!

Two of Cups
Nine of Cups – Knight of Pentacles – Page of Swords

Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.

Prioritize your Dream (Nine of Cups + Knight of Pentacles)

A compromise is a threat when you know exactly what you want.

Despite any and all distraction and interference, prioritize your dream.

Concentrate on achieving your goal no matter who or what is in the way,
for it to happen.

Keep the most important thing you want in mind as other things come up that are rivals to it, and you will get that one thing.

Be hyper-alert to people who want a piece of you, or they will get it.

Keep first things first, and they will be yours – just be alert to folks who want ‘their share’ of it.

In order to get what you want, pay attention to whatever forces lurk out there to deplete and dilute it.

Profit from Something I’m not Party to (Nine of Cups + Two of Cups)

When you are content with what you have, you focus on whatever and whoever might threaten it.

I’m so excited, all I can think of is what might interfere with my payoff.

Being a third-party beneficiary, you nervously stand by watching.

The one thing you want the most comes with a panic-inducing twist.

This is the most excited I have ever been. I’m profiting from something I didn’t even know I was party to.

A bonanza from someplace I didn’t even know I was dealing with arouses suspicious attention.

Wants to be in a Love Affair (Nine of Cups + Two of Cups)

One thing on his mind: wanting sexual excitement.

Really wants to be in a grand love affair with this exciting ruffian.

He wants one thing, has one aim: to see someone upset, he is a bloodsucker.

He is looking to get her so attached, so wanting him, that she will be frantic.

When the person you want is attached to someone else, you are agitated.

Wants to have a thrilling affair with a bad-boy.

He has his eye on hooking up, excitement is all he wants.

He gets perverse satisfaction from being obsessed with jealousy.

I’m so excited, all I can think of is how satisfying this sexual encounter is.

The Greedy Guy (Nine of Cups + Knight of Pentacles)

Pay attention to whom you are dealing with: Paranoia pays.

His one interest and one desire is interfering in others’ affairs to annoy them.

There’s only one threat to a lucrative exchange between us: him.

His big ideas about having it all get him all worked up about screwy deals.

He gets suckers all excited about how rich they are going to be with his one big idea.

Focus on the dangers of greedy insiders.

The two of us have a moneymaker but that one guy threatens to get in on it.

Our challenge is: He aims to horn in on our best profit.

He feels defensive about taking advantage, but that’s how much whatever he is getting means to him!

This high-strung guy wants it all and aims to screw people over.

Two of Cups
Nine of Cups – Knight of Pentacles – Page of Swords

These four Rider Waite Tarot citizens are about intrigue … money or sex, of course. We start with having it all (Nine of Cups), usually one of the best cards to have in your story. And it is here to say that, in order to get what you want, pay attention to whatever forces lurk out there to deplete and dilute it.

But today Nine of Cups is in bad company. Today there’s the fellow who is obsessed with one thing (Knight of Pentacles) who is something of a bad guy or ruffian; there’s being threatened or all worked up (excited or suspicious) about something lurking out there (Page of Swords); then there’s intrigue itself (Two of Cups) which is about conning, using, deceiving or ‘cheating/cheating on’ the person who are dealing with, and is also about existence of undisclosed people or circumstances to a transaction. Like buying a stolen car from a car lot. So ‘your wish is granted’ is a little out of place.

So today tells us to be very aware of self-interest, of people who have one thing on their mind, whether it’s sex or money or just getting attention by being superlatively annoying.

Nine of Cups and Knight of Pentacles are about what someone wants. Nine of Cups is about having it, and Knight of Pentacles is about having it on the mind. The other two cards are both threats to that: Page of Swords is literally the threat, and Two of Cups is the taking by stealth of what is another’s.

Nine of Cups The plump fella with the goofy grin and emply glasses on the mantel says it all: safunsified. Everything is all right, that feeling. Satisfaction and contentment. Having it all, having what you want – any shade of that from contentment to utter greed of a ruthless criminal or politician. Your dream, your goal, your payoff, your profit, your bonanza, your heart’s desire – something lucrative.

Sometimes it’s just what is wanted, or even means greed – but even then it’s close to a foregone conclusion that the want will be granted in some fashion, like it’s a well-founded expectation.

Knight of Pentacles stares at this one thing that’s his focus, that’s the one thing on his mind. He is the short, dark, sturdy type, the Don Johnson type: the bad boy, ruffian, macho fellow. Concentration, focus, even obsession. He shades Nine of Cups toward greed: see how that is?

Main meanings of this Knight are the ‘prioritize’ or ‘number one’ class; the ‘Be alert to’ or ‘one thing on his mind’ class; the ‘concentrate’ or ‘focus on’ class; the ‘keep an eye on’ or watch class; the bad-boy or ruffian/punk class. In milder form, this Rider Waite Tarot citizen simply means to look at or be an onlooker.

Page of Swords whirls around, brandishing his weapon in paranoia. Something is out there, he doesn’t know what. He can feel it but he can’t see it. We all get this feeling at times: alert to we know not what.

The most common phrases for this Rider Waite Tarot denizen describe that feeling – distraction, hyper, alert, excited or excitement, threat, nervously, panic, upset, frantic, agitated, paranoia, annoyed, jealous, get all worked up about, danger(s), challenge, defensive and high-strung. ‘Whatever lurks out there’ – such phrases as this focus on the threat rather than the person feeling that way.

Then there’s the thrilling end of Page of Swords: anticipation, the ‘can hardly wait for Christmas’ excitement.

Two of Cups This is a complex one. It is actually esoteric, about invultuation, about third-party participation that is not known: bloodsuckers. So it embraces a spectrum. Dealing with John but Henry put him up to it … that type of thing. Demonic interference, nosy people all the way from the landlord to the government.

It also speaks of sexual love affairs, whether the hookup or the grande passion. A triangle, especially one in which one party isn’t aware. Screwy deals, being a sucker, inside trading. Geet in on it, horn in on it, taking advantage. It comes with a twist …

The caduceus in the illustration is the tipoff. It represents spiritual interference. I have written about it here in the past.

I spent the day with a friend who was an example of this. She’s determined, fierce, honest, and passionate about what she does, and she’s fighting an uphill battle. I asked her what she thought her chances were to change things when she was up against so many vested interests and cultural norms. She said she didn’t know, but it was possible. Look at recycling and anti-smoking. It is possible to go up against established forces and win, and she has the knack of it. I am not somebody like that, but I admire that in her. Her dreams aand fears are so different from mine, but I like trying to look at the world through her eyes.

    • And Mothers Against Drunk Driving. That was one of my spiritual projects, and, yes, it was a battle, and it happened. The people who do the hands-on process in the physical world always leave a little of their rubber on the road they pave.
I keep telling you, make a copy of all this stuff you write, use the title I think up … Sue’s Shorts … and publish it as an Ebook. I will introduce you to CyberGoddess who can do that for you or with you.

This spread pierces last night’s dreams; I’ll be working this most of the day while consintrating on physcal tasks at hand, hopefully quickly so. Thank you Emily!

    • Defend and promote your dream in order to achieve it – and we go into some of the things and people to defend it from. Focus on what it it is YOU want and don’t move your priorities based on events in the environment that would prompt you to shelve the dream ‘for just a little while’ or to share ‘just a little’ with someone who does not contribute.
To me, this is such a clearing of the rubble!
