Guidance Oh, all the ways that love can go! We have a good-guy type and a macho type who are buddies, true love, and a negative modifier: Elements of just about any love saga you could dream up. The gist is to choose which neighborhood of the saga satisfies you, and gravitate there … a maneuver that requires some insight.

Is this the first time you come here?  Well … what to do:

*Go to Guidance (above ) which is a summary of the Messages. (Guidance is everyone’s favorite part.)

*Go to Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading below.  One or more of those sentences has something to say to you.  Intuitively pick those out and decide whether to encourage or suppress them.  They are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it.  (It is a group message like a horoscope,  except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data,  so it can be specific,  accurate,  detailed and direct.  Our experiment here is  “How much more accurate is it?”)

Did you come here for your predictions? –  You are done now –  See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer,  four cards can mean contradictory things,  especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards.  Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses,  feel very free to substitute.  The question in a  ‘real’  individual reading supplies at least half the information!

Love and the Loving Guy (Knight of Cups + Ace of Cups)

He is in love – is a softie, not a tough guy.

No, this isn’t an obsession, it’s just being a guy in love.

Nothing on my mind but being in love with a sweet guy.

A boyfriend I am not in love with thinks only of me.

He is sure her boyfriend is not making love with her.

A macho man is not romantic with the one he loves.

Loves you but love is not the most important thing in his life.

Isn’t giving love life undivided attention.

No affection for Mr. Muscle until he’s nice.

Not interested in him for love, he is too nice.

He doesn’t know how easy it is to take the romantic initiative.

No way is a tough guy like him in love with a guy.

Doesn’t Know the Guys Anymore (Two of Swords + Knight of Pentacles)

He doesn’t have his buddy’s attention because his buddy is in love.

Now that he is in love, he doesn’t even know his guy friend.

He Offers to Cooperate (Ace of Cups + Knight of Cups)

He is not a tough guy, people are attracted to his easygoing style.

He is the one who offers to help and is well-liked, not the macho one.

The one thing he can’t help his buddy with is his love life.

Don’t be pig-headed; offer to cooperate.

He doesn’t think he has to be polite to get cooperation.

His Mind is Closed (Two of Swords + Knight of Pentacles)

A nice guy who doesn’t believe in God.

His mind is closed to suggestions for good health.

Friends don’t let real men fall in love!

Love was not what was on his mind when he asked you out.

Not a Friendly Guy (Two of Swords + Knight of Cups)

Self-interest makes him agreeable; he isn’t a good person.

Not easy for him to be friendly; he has to concentrate on it.

He makes sure he is not the one who offers friendship first.

He is not the lovable type but he has a friend who is.

Now, Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim ™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Daily Spread –  the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the message.

*Go to Learn Tarot by the Pictures.  It is what each of the four cards,  by itself,  has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in this Spread.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim ™ works.

Knight of Cups
Two of Swords – Knight of Pentacles – Ace of Cups

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

Elements of a story here: A sweet Knight of Cups boyfriendly guy who is cooperative and helpful; a tough self-interested Knight of Pentacles fellow who has one thing on his mind; Ace of Cups as true love (or being well-liked, or affection, cooperation, health, and God.

Knight of Cups is the affectionate loving boyfriend; Ace of Cups is true love.

Two of Swords is ‘closed’ and Knight of Pentacles is a man with one thing on his mind; together than can be ‘his mind is closed’ or his mind is closed to everything but …

Knight of Cups and Knight of Pentacles are two different men, and Knight of Cups means ‘buddy’ too. Knight of Pentacles is the muscle head; Knight of Cups is the easygoing diplomat. The man who is driven and full of testosterone, and the friend who pulls him back from his brinks.

Two of Swords is a block; Ace of Cups is a flow. We don’t use that today.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

Two of Swords No. Not … any contraction (isn’t, doesn’t, etc.). No way. This card suggests “What part of ‘No’ don’t you understand; the ‘N’ or the ‘O’? Its few other meanings are unexplored here today – like block and stop. Illustration is a blindfolded seated woman holding two double-edged crossed swords in her hand, wearing a nightdress or slip.
Knight of Pentacles The telemarketer or televangelist or hotshot stockbroker/bankster. The Type A ‘What’s in it for me?’ dude. The muscle or ruffian or punk too. Has one thing on his mind, he does; and it’s about himself. He’s got that mesmerized stare, he’s short, stocky and intense just like his horse.
Ace of Cups Benign and Divine, you could say of this Rider Waite Tarot card. It stylizes the idea of channeling the presence of God, bodily. The dove and the wafer and the ‘W’ above and around the cup which holds a fountain (out of which emanate five streams: five senses or five bodily fluids) express this idea. As I explained before, Tarot’s reintroduction in the West came wrapped in accommodations that un-demonized it, so people could use it and still keep their heads. Today, it’s love, cooperation, health, being a softie or affectionate, love life, easy, attracted and well liked.
Knight of Cups A sweet Knight of Cups boyfriendly guy who is cooperative offers the hand of friendship and/or affection. He is known to be polite, diplomatic, likeable, easygoing. The illustration expresses these concepts in pastel colors, curved lines, and putting him on a merry-go-round horse.

  1. Sue

Gosh, yesterday? Love life? Yes, this fits. Yes to cup guy. No to Mr. Pentacles.

    • Thank you for that. Part of the efficacy of the Tarot Verbatim system is the way it describes types of people. This is an example.
