Our Daily Spread March 9, 2012, Friday©

Mar 9, 2012 by

Advice The point of this spread is one’s attitude about one’s position and possessions in life: whether to worry before or after ‘having it all,’ whether to let concerns about having it all keep one from even going there. As Bob Dylan said early on “When you’ve got nothin’, you’ve got nothin’ to lose.’ Being oblivious both to what you want and what you fear gives you self-reliance. I want to be free of anxiety and beholden to no man. But she is at home grieving by herself, she doesn’t want to be anywhere with anyone.

Is this the first time you come here?  Well … what to do:

*Go to Advice (above ) which is a summary of the Messages. (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.)

*Go to Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading below.  One or more of those sentences has something to say to you.  Intuitively pick those out and decide whether to encourage or suppress them.  They are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it.  (It is a group message like a horoscope,  except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data,  so it can be specific,  accurate,  detailed and direct.  Our experiment here is  “How much more accurate is it?”)

Did you come here for your predictions? –  You are done now –  See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer,  four cards can mean contradictory things,  especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards.  Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses,  feel very free to substitute.  The question in a  ‘real’  individual reading supplies at least half the information!

Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.

To Have No Fear and Not Be Stressed (Fool + Nine of Swords)
You are self-sufficient, why worry about having it all?

Have no fear and you are as secure, all by yourself, as you want to be.

I am not afraid to be alone: That is what I want.

Not up nights anymore since I live in the place I want.

When she wants to get on his nerves, she is just not home.

What, me worry? – I got everything I want right here at home.

When you’re single, you have no worries unless you want them.

They want you there because you are so competent, they have no fears.

With you in that position, they don’t have to think or worry,

I want not to stress, not to think, not to be the one in charge, and I got it.

I travel so light I’ve got everything I own right with me and no stress.

No baggage on me – you can worry having the good life and managing it all.

When you’ve got the peace you want, nothing ‘gets to you.’

Both he and she have everything they want and don’t think they have a thing to worry about.

If I had her life, I wouldn’t have a worry in the world.

I just wanna be rich and have no worries, ya know?

Being fearless got her what she wanted: a private peaceful life.

Who wants to be stressed out – just be cool.

She doesn’t want to even be there to be stressed about that business.

Being oblivious both to what you want and what you fear gives you self-reliance.

Living With My Stress and Fears (Nine of Pentacles + Nine of Swords)

I just want to have my own home, that is my fear.

Scary thought: Until what you have is all yours, you don’t have it all.

I don’t know what I want so I worry about being alone.

When you’re the one in charge, you have stress – I just want to not think about all that.

What I want is to have only myself to worry about, you know?

I want to forget my worries and be self-confident.

She won’t get on your nerves when she controls the turf she wants.

I don’t know what you are afraid of, you have the life you want.

Having it all and being responsible for it would only get on my nerves.

I want to be free of anxiety and beholden to no man.

They want you to worry as if you’ve got something of your own.

She grieves by herself, she doesn’t want to be anywhere with anyone.

The grief of not having the person you want, being alone in the world.

Not having it all is your nightmare when you do have it all by yourself.

Are you letting concern about having it all keep you from having it all?

Now, Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim ™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Daily Spread –  the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the message.

*Go to Learn Tarot by the Pictures.  It is what each of the four cards,  by itself,  has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in this Spread.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim ™ works.

Nine of Swords
Fool – Nine of Pentacles – Nine of Cups

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

Nine of Pentacles and Nine of Cups ‘have it all.’ Neither he nor she is a philanthropist. Nine of Pentacles owns her own enterprise and/or home, is independent and self-sufficient (but not retired, usually); she often is in charge of or manages an enterprise of some sort. She does not care, she does not worry, she has whatever she wants, mainly peace – a private and peaceful existence. She is competent in her position, probably has a niche or skill that makes her valuable, and she is secure.

Nine of Cups (burp!) has it all and ate it all and drank it all; he stands for excess and also getting what you want – all of what you want, doing it your way, having it your way.

On either side of having whatever you want and being secure is ‘not worrying’ and ‘worrying.’ Fool is Alfred E. Neuman’s ‘What, me worry?’ Fool is to be free, free of, and/or carefree, to not worry, to have no baggage and ‘travel light,’ to not know or not think, be heedless. It is also being ‘not there’ or not present. It often calls up ‘just’ and ‘only’ to express a casual devaluing of something. Its deeper meaning is dormant in today’s spread.

Nine of Swords is worrying, anxiety, not sleeping, fear, getting on my nerves, having something to worry about, being stressed out (or stress itself). It is also grief and nightmare.

Both Fool and Nine of Pentacles are free of attachments and don’t care.

The point of this spread is one’s attitude about one’s position and possessions in life: whether to worry before or after ‘having it all,’ whether to let concerns about having it all keep one from going there.

LEARN TAROT BY THE PICTURES

FoolNot being attached is Fool’s underlying core meaning; that spiritual life means not being focused on the physical, that the spiritual life is irrelevant and even silly in the physical world. (Fool doesn’t go around preaching that, though.) The illustration of prancing off a cliff on a summer walk with your dog in the wilderness, and carrying no supplies for the trip: That is how this core meaning is expressed … so you don’t get it.Fool is to be free, free of, and/or carefree, to not worry, to have no baggage and ‘travel light,’ to not know or not think, be oblivious or heedless. It is also being ‘not there’ or not present. It often calls up ‘just’ and ‘only’ to express a casual devaluing of something.
Nine of Pentacles This lady is self-made, has made a life for herself that she is in control of, a life that allows her to be in an elaborate robe in her vineyard with her falcon friend in the middle of the afternoon.
Nine of Cups Just look at him. This is one of those easy obvious Rider Waite Tarot cards you don’t have to look up the meaning in the book for. Nine of Cups (burp!) has it all and ate it all and drank it all; he stands for excess and also getting what you want – all of what you want, doing it your way, having it your way. The main meaning of this card in a spread is that things are going your way.
Nine of Swords Speaking of Rider Waite Tarot cards whose meaning is apparent! A person in the middle of the night is sitting up in bed holding his hands to his face in that universal gesture of grief or horror or a bad dream. Nine of Swords is worrying, anxiety, not sleeping, fear, getting on my nerves, having something to worry about, being stressed out (or stress itself). It is also grief and nightmare.

  1. I felt it was close but not really. If I worried I had a reason to and Its not like i worry 24 7. We can’t b perfect 24 7 I’m ok with 95% of my time stress free

Wow. Something just hiit me like a ton of bricks. The daily spread is like a snapshot of a chess board. This is the state of the game. The sentences are thoughts about possible moves. But it isn’t something just anybody could just generate. You know the forces and patterns of people from years of court repoprting and life, like you bring the wisdom that says “Being oblivious to both what you want and what you fear gives you freedom.” is the best move.

When people call you, you get the infornation to make the situation specific. You figure out who the chesspieces are in their life, and help hem find the moves to win the game.

I was teaching my daughter how to play chess last night so …

    • well. That’s really fascinating: I see it. And I loved that sentence too. Your applying the spread to the chess game is an example of the kind of thinking that attaches directly to the nonphysical realms, to ‘out there.’
I do hope you keep all your comments – not just here but the ones you make everywhere – in a file.

      • Sue

Yeah. It goes both ways – like applying chess to real life is like applying the spread to the day. I’ve got to teach my daughter skills to survive since she doesn’t have the instincts. She spared for the first time in her martial arts class today. It was the friendliest fight you’ve ever seen. Two smiley little girls playfully tapping each other with their toes and giggling. The boys were not like that.

Music is that way to. Like maps that lead from one emotional state to another. So if I can match the situation in life to a model, I get ideas for different things to do. Maybe it’s chess, maybe tarot, maybe music, maybe all of them… It’s pretty neat.
