Our Daily Spread April 14, 2012 Saturday©

Guidance They say ‘Pick your battles.’ The subject today is to choose one thing (at a time) to focus on in order to get your purpose accomplished because you can focus your energy that way. We are getting somewhere, like a vehicle on the road, and we are keeping an eye on the road like driving through the night alone. Oh yes, we are arriving!

Extra Sentences are at the end, after the Copyright language.

Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do:

*Go to Guidance (above ) which is a summary of the Messages. (Guidance is everyone’s favorite part.)

*Go to Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading below.  One or more of those sentences has something to say to you.  Intuitively pick those out and decide whether to encourage or suppress them.  They are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it.  (It is a group message like a horoscope,  except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data,  so it can be specific,  accurate,  detailed and direct.  Our experiment here is  “How much more accurate is it?”)

Did you come here for your predictions? –  You are done now –  See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer,  four cards can mean contradictory things,  especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards.  Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses,  feel very free to substitute.  The question in a  ‘real’  individual reading supplies at least half the information!

Now, Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim ™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Daily Spread –  the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the message.

*Go to Learn Tarot by the Pictures.  It is what each of the four cards,  by itself,  has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in this Spread.

Hermit
Chariot – Five of Wands – Knight of Pentacles

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

Knight of Pentacles and Chariot both mean determined and both are on the road. Knight of Pentacles focuses on one thing, and Chariot is master of it.

Knight of Pentacles and Hermit both mean to see (look at, look for) and to know.

Chariot and Five of Wands both involve effort.

I eliminated 27 sentences – 14 about vehicles, 5 about trying hard to be honest, and 8 miscellaneous. Have a feeling the car ones could be cautionary for one or more visitors. (They are stashed in Tarot Talks, where they do not belong, just in case you want to go there.)

Five of Wands is a great effort, struggle or fight; Knight of Pentacles is a tough type guy focused on one thing; Chariot is a strategist who aims to win and be master. These meanings interlace to produce very similar phrases twice: Making this smooth is tricky.

Hermit is watching or looking out for; being honest, kind and helpful; coming to or approaching someone; being a helpful friend; being on the road alone; being on a path or journey. He makes prolific phrases with each of the other cards.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

Chariot An ambitious strategist who achieves his project. He is skilled, he makes it happen. He gets the job done. Charioteers were the Navy Seals of their day. He has hitched the sphinxes so they have to go forward when each will only go one direction (right for one, left for the other – that is why their colors are opposite). His willpower makes them into steeds that get him where he is going.
Five of Wands Lots of energy and effort being put into a fight, battle, struggle or competition. Five guys are whacking one another with boards. ‘Activity’ and ‘intensely involved’ are two of its phrases. Hostilities, exertion, exhaustive are some others.
Knight of Pentacles He is determined to get one thing done: He focuses on his top priority. He can be a rough guy, self-interested and driven. He is Don Johnson, if you remember Miami Vice. We all know someone of his stereotype. He is pictured here as a stocky sturdy dude staring at his pentacle, seated as if he were part of his stock sturdy horse.
Hermit Here is the monk patiently out on the road with a lantern looking for travelers who could use some help. He is your friend, watching or looking out for you; being honest, kind and helpful; coming to or approaching you; being on the road alone; being on a path or journey. He makes prolific phrases with each of the other cards.

Trying Hard to Be Honest (Five of Wands + Hermit)

He intends to be straight with you but still has a competing interest.

Being sincere with you is a huge effort for him but he aims to do it.

Try hard to be honest; focus on that one intention.

Trying so hard to control myself, I focus on being understanding.

Being responsible to look out for you conflicts with his self-interest.

Miscellaneous

He is the one physician whose specialty is trauma.

Stubborn man fights the doctor in charge.

There’s one thing he chooses to fight with you about when he comes.

The only reason he fights is to be the boss: You know this.

So hard to be patient when you got one thing you gotta get done.

Chooses to be devoted to one activity.

This is a hostile macho man but he is responsible and sober.

Obsessed with ambition and trying hard to be calm and patient.

Driving on the Road (Chariot + Hermit)

An observant driver makes an effort to focus.

Old man pays attention to driving; it is an effort for him.

Driving on a road with so much pedestrian activity, watch it.

Focus on steering the car, it’s an effort to see on this road.

That one thing you are trying so hard to find is in the car.

In a car with them, you know all they are going to do is fight.

There’s an exhaustive search for this one vehicle.

Approaches a vehicle in which a man is fighting.

Surveillance on a vehicle is looking for one type of activity.

Try hard to focus and you can see to drive.

You are under surveillance as you drive – watching you with hostile intent!

Fighting man focuses on being calm when he drives.

He intends to take care of his hardheaded friend who fights him.

Everything is going against his intention to make the road trip.

Well, that makes alot of sence, My fingers are so slow with the keys that the mental thrust of real intuition gets lost in the simple machanics, so smooth is your way, the truth always does bubble up to the top; resting’ I may breath into some of it…as always, thanks!

“Patience in some struggles is rewarded more than anything else”. Boy I hope that’s true. I’m trying to be patient in this relationship but I don’t know how long I can last.

    • You know, you can do what you would do if you were patient whilst being not so. If you are a reasonably good actor, it won’t matter that you’re not feeling as patient as you need to be.

I feel very fortunate to have access to your undeniably authentic work. There should be a monthly access fee for us to see your website. I would pay because you work hard and nothing in life is free. Just a thought $5 a mnth doesnt sound too bad. (o:

Your gift is truely amazing… todays spread applies to my dear friend. Thank You So much Emily…. As always you are very appreciated.

    • Anyone is welcome to use the PayPal button or call me, and I will happily accept five dollars a month. New clients come from Twitter and Facebook (Pinterest too now)and I don’t know how that would be set up.
What I do plan to do is have Tarot Talks, and a category where people choose their own cards (Rider Waite only) and I read them like Tarot Talks is set up. This will be free and I choose one set a day, or you can pay and have it done privately. That is coming as soon as I find someone to do it.

Another brainstorm is to use background colors and paint sentences (in Tarot Talks) with a color that represents a particular card (like the first card is yellow, the next green, etc.) That way you can run your eye down the sentences you already read in Daily Spread and get an idea quickly – less time on your part. Eventually, there will be a level of that that is members only, paid.

And all this is working up to videos that start out maybe as a webinar, that train one formally in reading Tarot verbatim. That will be serious training, and will cost enough to help support the animals.

SPEAKING OF WHICH, you guys who appreciate this so much: Spread the word. The ranch needs serious money, so I need more clients, to do some fencing. Game fencing is NO joke.

  5. Me

Well spring cleaning doesn’t ever stop does it?

    • win

It should stop at least by the Fall, if we do it. Otherwise…Winter wrap up..

      • I am wistfully wishing for the time to clean by abode. Oh, the floors, and the clutter, especially in the kitchen. I keep it sanitary, don’t let clothes or dishes pile up. But ‘Spring cleaning of the soul’ is like those automatic scans my computer does for tidying the registry, the memory, and whatever else that is.

Sometimes Emily, I just want to say,,,” stay out of my life”. But that is not entirely true,,, the healing of the doctors knife starts with a precise cut, and let’s hope we are “out” during the magician’s work, oh what can i do to aid in the healing time, such is our work… thanks for the great insight, and ever day!!! How great is that?

    • win

So Great. it is, If I did not want your words in my life, I would not believe in reading your written work, ” as above as below”. Connectedly ellumniating you are, so lucky I am to read your working word, but it truely is not allways easy, such is the way of being human…blessing in every breath!

      • About that ‘easy,’ yes. The sentences do contradict, especially with a negator card among the panelists. And there are some spiritual and historical-political aspect that jump right in. Eliminating them would be a crime; it’s a stretch to reach the stars.
And every once in a while there is some pithy philosophical truism. I love those, myself.
Remember, this is a cafeteria: You get to choose, and then choose what you choose to do with it. Including not reading parts.

Sorting out the sentences and putting them under titles (which is mentally stretching to me) helps a person choose to skip parts of it, I would think. If you don’t have kids, you skip all the children things if you want to, for instance.

    • Typing these things has expanded my consciousness. I go into trace while typing (which does not require attention, I am an incredibly fast typist)and pick up some ‘out there’ things.
