Guidance  Every trait a person can have has its legitimate use. Today we discuss being manipulative. When we are stuck and things seem (or are) hopeless, out comes the foxy side of us, and, by golly, we recover our bearings. This trait was issued to you at birth. Take care of it, because it is what releases our parking brake when the train is coming.

Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do:

*Go to Guidance (above ) which is a summary of the Messages. (Guidance is everyone’s favorite part.)

*Go to Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading below.  One or more of those sentences has something to say to you.  Intuitively pick those out and decide whether to encourage or suppress them They are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it.  (It is a group message like a horoscope,  except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data,  so it can be specific,  accurate,  detailed and direct.  Our experiment here is  “How much more accurate is it?”)

Did you come here for your predictions? –  You are done now –  See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer,  four cards can mean contradictory things,  especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards.  Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses,  feel very free to substitute.  The question in a  ‘real’  individual reading supplies at least half the information!

Eight of Swords – Page of Cups – King of Pentacles

Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.

Taking Charge, a New Phase (King of Pentacles + Judgment)

Looks like you are getting out of the box and taking charge of the situation.

I am the type of person who recovers from what seems hopeless.

Takes charge and puts a sudden kibosh on the nonsense.

Goes back to being his masterful charismatic self, feeling inadequate.

Who says you can’t be the captain?

He is told it’s impossible; he doubts that because he has the ability to get things done.

I don’t know this guy since he was revived from being dead – he has a whole new charisma.

Revives (Eight of Swords + Judgment)

Just when you thought it couldn’t be, the banker comes through.

His confidence in his ability to maneuver and manipulate this seemingly hopeless situation is back.

Limited by Misapprehension (Eight of Swords + Page of Cups)

That’s news to the boss: He is limited by not understanding.

A deluded notion that he couldn’t help it, until he did get his virility back and is the studly man again.

Guesses (he) can’t get his power back.

Being clueless is a handicap to his new phase of life as the manipulative dude.

Eccentricity hampers a new phase of being influential for him.

‘Back in the saddle again’ and about to kill his fool self.

Inappropriate language holds him back from being the head of the (department).

Somehow, he figures he can go back home again when he can’t.

You can’t change from not knowing anything to knowing it all overnight.

He foolishly puts a damper on the new life.

This guy is a flamer loud enough to wake the dead.

He can’t change his over-the-top flamboyant lifestyle.

May Be Able (Page of Cups + King of Pentacles)

In jail for something stupid; he was mentioned as being the kingpin.

Does he have the authority to issue a legally binding order?

Is he charismatic enough to prevent the change from happening?

The license to operate expires; you may be able to renew it.

After the proprietor’s death, I guess there will be a whole new regime.

He foolishly puts a damper on the new life.

Seems to be no other choice but to decide to make a new life on (his) own.

The Able Man Can’t (Eight of Swords + King of Pentacles)

Ask him by what authority he can say that – because he can’t.

It’s doubtful: He can’t be in power again.

Why let that sudden arbitrary decision stymie you?

The boss isn’t allowed to announce this person is a hopeless idiot.

I feel suddenly cornered, trapped, and very much doubt my ability to manipulate.

Feels self-conscious about being unable to speak masterfully.

I cannot understand what the director says; he has a speech impediment.

Why did he have to die just before his new life of having the money to get things done happened?

What makes him so important he can tell me I can’t?

Who died and said this guy is in charge?

*Go to Learn Tarot by the Pictures.  It is what each of the four cards,  by itself,  has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in this Spread.

Eight of Swords – Page of Cups – King of Pentacles

Our panelists are strange bedfellows. First thing you notice is Eight of Swords meaning something stifled, stymied, dead, contained or tied up – and Judgment meaning recovery, revival, new phase and big news. This suggests something hopeless recovering its life. If you think about it, this is better news than a more bland and general ‘Your wish is granted, everything’s gonna be all right.’ – because this suggests that the good news is about the very thing that is most impossible.

The other two cards are, first, the sort of man who could pull off this kind of turnaround – the masterful King of Pentacles – and Page of Cups which means something strange. But he is also a ‘duh’ card, so we also have stories about feeling trapped and unable to take charge.

The overall message today is managing to get over what holds us back, to recover from what seems hopeless.

Eight of Swords Blindfolded and tied up in a swamp far from the neighborhood, the illustration suggests helpless, hopeless, paralysis, being stuck and left out of the action.
Page of Cups is the part of you that is dumb about something. Myself, I have no sense of direction and very little acquaintance with math. I should be embarrassed at times about this. I should feel as silly as that fellow dressed in women’s clothes who is carrying a fish in a cup. Duh.
King of Pentacles He is the fellow who is a world class lawyer, can resurface his own pool, make a new part for his tractor in his shop, and please his woman too. All on the same day. He can be the flashy rich fellow or even the mobster too. Somewhat of a dandy, but with substance. I call these fellows Studmuffins.
Judgment New life. A new phase. Big news, good news. Recovery, revival, rejuvenation … re- anything, really. It is good to see people jumping up out of their coffins when your spread starts with the card that means death.

The spread came true today, listened to hours of a manipulative person and his prey.

Wow! “to get over what holds us back, to recover from what seems hopeless”. Consistantly spelling it out for us, A< B< C<, Oh, the work and joy and pain of each drama we hold, and live thru… So often you cut so straight to the point, the heart and mind of the matter… and still yet, I need to move my own, nothings for free. thanks for the light Emily!

    • You’re welcome, and thank you for commenting. I missed your poetry for the past few days. Something’s up with your job maybe – a few flashes to that effect – potentially something good.

You’re welcome for the light. Got to keep those batteries charged.

  3. makes me think about what I’ve been told that he’s been seen as in back in the states. Very possible but very stupid. Anyways wish me luck I’m 2 go 2 court 4 this Thursday.

    • WISH YOU LOTS OF LUCK. The point this reading makes is one we don’t hear or think of: That there is a time to be manipulative, that we have the ability for a reason.
Some of the things I type make me think of your story. I don’t know whether you picked them up for ‘yours’ or not.
Remind me Thursday, and I will send a breeze to court for you.

      • Shall do! And much muchos thank yous! The court is regarding custody of the children. Sad

        • That is sad. When kids are put in foster care, they dope them up and diagnose them as all kinds of mentally ill that marks them for life.

Hmm.. I wonder what is going to come back to life in my life.
