Guidance   Such a casual thing, getting involved with this or that person, that we don’t even realize we are doing it. Old-fashioned people were so painfully scrupulous about this! Letters of introduction! Think back, how life would be if you had never met …. Today we talk about relationships complicated by people you would rather not know … all kinds of ways, and that’s all this is about (Sorry!)

Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do:

*Go to Guidance (above ) which is a summary of the Messages. (Guidance is everyone’s favorite part.)

*Go to Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading below.  One or more of those sentences has something to say to you.  Intuitively pick those out and decide whether to encourage or suppress them They are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it.  (It is a group message like a horoscope,  except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data,  so it can be specific,  accurate,  detailed and direct.  Our experiment here is  “How much more accurate is it?”)

Did you come here for your predictions? –  You are done now –  See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer,  four cards can mean contradictory things,  especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards.  Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses,  feel very free to substitute.  The question in a  ‘real’  individual reading supplies at least half the information!

Ten of Pentacles

Knight of Cups – Page of Wands – Nine of Wands

This spread reminds me of my dead-end job and dead-end life when I was twenty-seven. I took the day off, made some phone calls, got three job offers, chose one of them, and moved outa town that week. Nothing terrible was happening, just nothing much was happening.

The penalties for being the wrong kind of person for the place you are in are unceasing, whether they are severe or not. And you are the one who needs to move on, they suit the scene they are in. Not a big deal. ‘Take the bus, Gus.’

Ten of Pentacles is the spoiler card, and it’s about trouble with people, people who are trouble, and troubled people. It is also about sick or rogue organizations, whether merely dysfunctional or corrupt or evil (as in a gang or mob). It’s about political entities of any type as well – and so is Four of Wands if they are healthy.

The other cards depend directly on Ten of Pentacles: There are two nice civilized friendly folks, Knight of Cups and Page of Wands. And there is the apprehensive, fearful, defensive, uneasy feeling of Nine of Wands.

See? There’s only one scenario to these four Rider Waite Tarot cards, no matter how you paint it.

Knight of Cups is one of those pleasant, polite, friendly people who could sell you anything or get you to vote for your worst enemy. He is the one with the smile and the extended hand of friendship; and he is the sweet affectionate guy who loves you. There he is doing his thing, and his horse is just as sweet as he is.

Page of Wands is a good man recruiters are looking for: The apprentice who is earnest and motivated. He is honest and well-spoken and well-dressed, not to mention good-looking. He can be vain, even foppish, with that feather in his hat and the triangles on his boots.

Nine of Wands Past experience tells you the other shoe is gonna drop, that the thieves are gonna come back to rob you some more, and you are on chronic alert, edgy, apprehensive and defensive. This fellow is the border guard, and any minute they’re gonna come through with another load.

Ten of Pentacles People you put up with, people you are in Dutch with, the danged neighbors and your pain-in-the-butt relatives, politicians and sneaky repair men, the mob and the gangs, the family of your mama’s-boy boyfriend. Yeah, all of them, the whole passel of them. Pictured is a family disagreement a couple has with grandpa, as well as a squalling kid.

If I look at the cards individually, each captures someone in my life . . .and things in my life and theirs . . .

    • Well, that’s the way they are talking to you today, Jaclyn. I just typed up a really manic celebratory spread for, I think, the 15th. So, everybody: Hang on, relief is coming. A breather is on its way.

  2. Sue

Count me in. I feel stuck too. This work relationship doesn’t look too good at the moment. A simple file system error turned into a large problem, but it looks like the other party is throwing me under the bus to save himself. I might be wrong, but I’m not sure I want to work with somebody who would do this, so whatever happens is for the best. It’s all in God’s hands anyways.

If I think about it, I worry. But if, in my head, I consider the business relationship already severed, I’m at peace and spend my time on the next thing. If he comes back and needs something I can say yes or no, depending on the terms.

    • Want to know his motives, intentions and attitude? Five minutes, you know, it will be yours.
Don’t we find lately that people are nuts – that people who usually have their heads screwed on straight just lose them entirely and act like they didn’t?

      • Sue

It’s okay. Life works itself out. If he throws me under the bus then we don’t work together anymore. If he mans up to his role in the problem, we do. I’ve stated my side and what I can do to prevent a future situation. There’s nothing more to be done.

  3. Lori

I feel like I’m stuck too, maybe I need an escape plan…
