Our Daily Spread June 27, 2012 Wednesday(c)

Jun 26, 2012 by

Guidance  We continue with paying attention to how you are being paid, how you are being treated, is it time to leave, and should I say something first? Overstaying our welcome in our own life story is a waste of what our life is made of: time. This is advice to take stock of ‘Who I am being here, and who I would be there.’ Likewise, take stock of the same question regarding the people in your story: What is in it for them; and is this, our story, a good setting for them?

Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do:

*Go to Guidance (above ) which is a summary of the Messages. (Guidance is everyone’s favorite part.)

*Go to Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading below.  One or more of those sentences has something to say to you.  Intuitively pick those out and decide whether to encourage or suppress them They are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it.  (It is a group message like a horoscope,  except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data,  so it can be specific,  accurate,  detailed and direct.  Our experiment here is  “How much more accurate is it?”)

Did you come here for your predictions? –  You are done now –  See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer,  four cards can mean contradictory things,  especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards.  Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses,  feel very free to substitute.  The question in a  ‘real’  individual reading supplies at least half the information!

Six of Pentacles

Six of Swords – Page of Wands – Eight of Cups

Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.

Avoiding, Quitting, Leaving (Six of Swords, Eight of Cups)

He doesn’t even say he isn’t going to get the treatment.

I am better off without it and I won’t be paying for it.

Not the guy he used to be; he quit treatment.

Diminishing returns, it’s time to say ‘good-bye.’

I’m not myself any more, the way you are treating me: ‘Bye.

Interrupts and walks away when I’m talking: That’s the way I am being treated.

I avoid good-looking men because they avoid doing their fair share.

This guy gets away with dodging payment.

He left town before they could serve papers on him.

The fact you did not do (that) is put behind (is ‘water under the bridge’) because not doing it was the right thing.

Go out of your way to avoid legal talk, legal language, or giving your word legally.

He is out of his body, has ‘gone on to his reward.’

Get out of that dismal place fast and be paid what (you are) worth.

The way out of a bad situation or a dead end is to tell them what you are worth.

The proper thing to do is get out of there, and be proper while you are getting out of there.

He is getting paid well not to leave.

He does not walk away; he talks attentively.

Doesn’t Get the Attention (Eight of Cups + Six of Pentacles)

Losing his looks now, he doesn’t get the attention he used to.

Can’t give you attention he used to; he is going through a phase.

When you are journeying into who you are, you don’t want attention.

I am not myself here, I am not getting the recognition or respect I deserve.

Avoid the guys that don’t pay any attention to you.

He left town and can’t get to you to give you the attention you deserve.

He isn’t Prince Charming anymore; he disappeared after paying you all that attention.

Doesn’t Get/Pay the Money (Eight of Cups + Six of Pentacles)

Not the guy he used to be, doesn’t get the money he used to.

I could not make the payments when he left me.

Make the payment before you get the notice, and it will all blow over.

Give notice that you’re leaving, and they won’t pay you.

Is not the type of person to avoid paying his own way.

Your best interest financially is to get out of where you are and go somewhere else, immediately.

I left in defeat but am proud of myself now that I honor my obligations for a change.

Now, Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim ™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Daily Spread –  the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the message.

*Go to Learn Tarot by the Pictures.  It is what each of the four cards,  by itself,  has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in this Spread.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim ™ works.

Say hello back!  Comment!  Remember to share your experience about our experiment here if you have words for it.  Read others’ comments.

Six of Pentacles

Six of Swords – Page of Wands – Eight of Cups

Eight of Cups is sudden and abrupt leavetaking – a running off the road, dropping out or taking a forced detour; Six of Swords is also leaving. Six of Swords’ leaving, though, is moving out of a depressed area for the better job type thing. When these two Rider Waite Tarot cards hold hands, though, you get statements like ‘isn’t leaving’ or ‘delays leaving.’ Or phrases like ‘doesn’t say he is leaving.’ (Or, my favorite, ‘He leaves town before they can serve papers on him.’)

So what is being phased out, in your stories? Six of Pentacles is giving or receiving attention or money, and matters of justice and fairness – exchanges. Page of Wands is the attractive young man and talking or saying (or giving notice).

The main message of today follows up yesterday’s. Did you notice Six of Pentacles stayed in the room and moved one chair over? Six of Pentacles is the exchange. Life changes happen, phases happen, and opting to leave when you see the famous ‘handwriting on the wall’ may be your strategy. How are you being treated? How are you being paid? “Are you better off with (him) or without (him)?” – Ann Landers’ famous question. There’s an underlying ‘Look out for Number One’ suggestion here.

Six of Swords Had enough? Get out. Get out with the shirt on your back, there will be better days, better settings for you to be yourself in. Put whatever-it-is behind and go on without the drag of it. That is the illustration you see here, and that is Six of Swords.
Page of Wands A person shines who is in his best setting. That same person is dull in another life scene. Ever put a picture on a wall, and it was ugly until you moved it to another wall? That’s you and me, that’s him and her. Page of Wands is you where you are at your best. Page of Wands is the fellow who has everything going for him … maybe because he knew where to go.
Eight of Cups drops off the map, detours, runs off the road, quits, walks away in the middle, vanishes, doesn’t get to it, aborts course or aborts action, and it’s over with before you know it. It’s the day I work up, realized I had a dead end job at 27, phoned in, got on the phone with the professional magazine, got hired in six cities, chose one, and called a mover for the weekend. This concept is depicted as a pilgrim on foot forced by terrain to detour.
Six of Pentacles is getting what’s coming to you, that you deserve or have earned – whatever that is. Money or attention, usually. Six of Pentacles is giving others their due, paying your way, doing your fair share. It’s about justice and being just. The employer weighs the coins he pays the help.

  1. Me

The last card speaks to me.
I’m having a difficult time with so many things….that I don’t think I am getting the best out of these readings.
Is it because I’m isolated from people?

    • The Guidance is a summary comment, and the Observation part is how the four cards interact with one another, which is also sort of an overview. Those two are less confusing than choosing which of the sentences ‘call out’ to you and threfore apply to you potentially. Some of the people who visit here read only the Guidance because the sentences make them uneasy.

Feeling overwhelmed sometimes comes from taking a dependent stance – that is, where you believe your outcome is determined by factors beyond your control. The best practical way to counter that feeling is by getting an interest in something that engrosses YOU. Check out the latest-born article about teaching yourself Tarot.

  2. Mary

We’ll see how today goes. I’ll try to see how this applies as the day goes on. My motivation at work right now isn’t money, it’s learning about the world and developing skill, but they do pay me. I’ll write more after a nap.

    • Mary

The page of wands description was helpful to me today. People, personalities, niches…. It’s like the different professions are like different species in nature. Process chemists are the most determined lot I’ve met. They’re used to trying and trying different things, relying on hunches and experience. Listening to them makes me more determined and committed. Maybe where I am now, listening to everbod, is the best place for me.

      • Are you court reporting?
That is what court reporting bequeaths, and no other experience quite does the same thing. However, most court reporters are not aware enough to make use of the expertise.

        • Mary

I’m not court reporting yet. Might never actually do it. Work sends me files of people handling things in day-to-day environments, depositions, phone calls, presentations, interviews and recordings from courts, all sorts of stuff… kind of happy they way things are.

      • Tarot Verbatim identifies types of people with the court and other cards very accurately. The bitch card never is wrong! Page of Wands never misses as the type described where you saw it.

  3. Lori

I can’t even put into words how much this spread speaks to me, Thank you!

    • Well, those words are nice. Some more would be nicer, Girl.

      • Lori

Took me a while to process through the rush. Overstaying in the situation in your own life is a waste of time, that is what I have been struggling with. I moved here to be with my ex, and now he is my ex…but I have been here 12 years, so is there anyplace to go “home” to? The question I will ponder on my upcoming trip is who am I being here, and who would I be there? Do the people in my script still have roles to play or can they be released???
It is much deeper than I am able to put into words, but I may call for a reading tonight 🙂 Thank you EMily!!!

        • That’s beautiful.
And it is something we often don’t think of. I often wonder who I would be had I not made the decision to fight the inbred town for the ranch when my husband was killed and the locals figured they were his heirs. That’s the folkway around here.
Thank you so coming back and explaining.
