Our Daily Spread August 18, 2012 Saturday©

Aug 17, 2012 by

Guidance      We feel our way through transitions. A generation shifts gradually from one style of living, one set of inborn beliefs, to another … just as an individual gradually changes his ways (‘cleans up his act’) or departs from established regimen. Tarot’s message parallels these transitions with a job change one. Our focus is particularly on the facade of morality and on the status quo: We are about changes for the better in both the individual and the group life.

Are YOU here for the first time?Come in! People love this place! The full INSTRUCTIONS to this site are at the bottom. “Guidance” is the summary, followed by your word for word Tarot Readings from the four Rider Waite Tarot cards you see here. Just pick the sentences that you feel apply, and decide whether to encourage them or reject them. WHY THE SENTENCES CONTRADICT ONE ANOTHER? – because the negative cards, in this spread with no question, can attach to any of the other three cards. It’s a group reading, so you choose which is yours.

Part One is Guidance and the Tarot Readings. If you just want your daily look ahead, Part One is all you need. Want more? – keep going. Part Two is Learn Tarot by Observation, and Learn Tarot by Pictures. Want even more? – call Emily at 800 993-6912 to get yourself a detailed memorable Tarot Reading, no information from you, or choose an email reading. You will support 500 acres of animal sanctuary in the wilderness Emily lives in.

GROUP ANALYTICAL TAROT CARDS READING

Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.

Tarot Readings: A Job that has a Future (Three of Wands + Eight of Pentacles)

Heading into the kind of job that has a future, nothing glamorous.

Leave there for a good-paying job and a normal life.

You are going to officially leave this job.

It’s okay, and it’s sane, to put other things aside for working for a living.

Used to work there; and the pay was good.

Will be leaving the job with a good recommendation.

Will have enough money and not work anymore.

Safe trip from home to work.

Avoids working as long as some money is coming in.

Retires from the job with a modest income.

A boatwright (marine carpenter) makes decent money.

I can see that a steady effort to distance myself from the physical plane (from materialism) is paying off.

In this peaceful atmosphere, you are putting that past a little farther behind and getting over it.

Put the facade of morality aside, and just do what brings us a better future.

What we are doing these days is leaving tradition in the dust.

I am avoiding having a good reputation, and I will keep doing that.

Stay sober until you don’t have to work at it anymore.

Keeps drifting away from doing the expected things.

The physical life you leave behind will keep paying off when you’re gone.

Tarot Readings: Cleaning Up (My) Act (Six of Swords + Hierophant)

Cleaning up (his/my) act is what is being done now, and it will continue.

Is conforming to a regimen or routine in order to have a better future.

Leaves the bad past behind and keeps going straight.

Clean up your ways and you will eventually get a good-paying job.

A better future when you keep up your efforts in your daily life.

Keep doing things to improve everyday life.

Just keep up what you are doing and you pull out of there into safety.

After all that, a decent future is ahead because of your own efforts.

Oh, just get over it and be like everyone else: keep doing what you’re doing, and wait for it to pay off.

We are working on this because things aren’t going to be the way they should be anymore.

Working your way out of there means things are going to be okay. This religious retreat is about what to do every day.

Doing this regimen or program, you will leave here normal.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

Six of Swords and Three of Wands refer to a hopeful future. Six of Swords, future will be better because you are escaping out of something awful. Three of Wands, you have laid the foundation and are profiting from that past activity or work: Your ship is coming in, which could be literally money and profit, or other good things that you deserve.

Three of Wands and Eight of Pentacles have a continuing process in common. In Three of Wands, you are waiting for an approaching benefit. In Eight of Pentacles, you are steadily doing something or working.

‘The rank-and-file workers’ Hierophant + Eight of Pentacles says. Both of these cards in Tarot Verbatim ™ have to do with with a normal ordinary routine. Hierophant emphases ‘the usual’ and Eight of Pentacles emphasizes repetitive actions.

Right in the middle is Hierophant. It speaks of ordinary, the real physical mundane aspect (of anything), surface official considerations (like the public version of any organization as opposed to what the insiders know).

No surprises in Hierophant, nothing harmful and nothing glamorous, just the usual status quo of conforming to safe acceptable practice. Hierophant is the approval, the good recommendation. It is also the old order, established protocol. It’s ‘okay’ too.

As often happens when a spread contains a card that in Tarot Verbatim™ means to go from one (whatever) to another – such as our Six of Swords here – you make divergent meanings when you operate as we do here without a question and with no specific Querant (questioner). So today we are leaving either the old established ways behind, or we are leaving our past behind and cleaning up our act, going straight. And we are either an individual (of either gender) or a group.

We are also either leaving a job or getting ourselves a better job (or both), thanks to the work connection with Eight of Pentacles.

This particular set of cards in Tarot Verbatim ™ equates these different transitions. Curious, you agree?

Six of Swords We are departing from here for something better. Things have not gone well, but they will. We have help to get out, and are not taking much with us on our way out. Relocating with hope. Phasing out and going on to a better version. Refugees being paddled away on a rainy dusk twilight with nothing but the clothes on their back but with help from a friend.
Hierophant Face is what it’s all about. The news that’s fit to print, that’s approved. Facade. The official story, the Establishment or old order. The physical plane or material world. It’s also safe (being on the safe side), harmless, ordinary and moral. Sane. Protocol, regimen, standard practice, ritual. Be like everyone else, conform.Who better to illustrate these concepts than the pope being knelt to by churchmen?
Three of Wands When you have done the work, your profit comes. You are waiting but you see it’s on its way. It’s a sure thing your future is good, and your ship is coming in.
Eight of Pentacles just keeps doing what he is doing, repetitively. He is working, or work or job, or workplace, or working-class, or even labor expenses in a budget. This card describes persistence, refers to ‘keep trying’ or keep anything-ing. Once in a while, keep being a certain way. A carpenter makes one identical object after another in the illustration.

I N S T R U C T I O N S & Explanations

Did you come here just for your predictions? – If so, you are done when you finish reading the sentences of Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading.

Each and every one of those sentences is a literal-interpretation reading of the four cards pictured next to them. Only what each of the cards says, phrase by phrase – no fillers. The readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it.  They are a demonstration that Tarot, all by itself, no psychic ability used, communicates to you.

Horoscopes are group readings too.

Astrology has to be based on someone else’s birth data, though, so it does not solidly apply to you just because of where the sun was when you were born. (Astrologers know this.)

Tarot is perfectly capable of addressing any group flexibly, as it does here of ‘all the visitors.’ It can address ‘all the people at work who have a say in my raise,’ for instance, without you knowing who or where those people are.

We wonder whether these sentences are more accurate for regular visitors than for people who have come only a few times. Would you help us with a comment, if that is who you are?

Without a question to focus the answer,  four cards can mean contradictory things,  especially when the Spread has a card that means ‘no, never or not.’ That negative modifier can apply to any one of the cards.

Without a question also the pronouns (you, him, her, me us, them, they, etc.) in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses,  feel very free to substitute.  Notice how, as much as possible, we drop pronouns, which makes for a little awkward phrasing.

The question in a  ‘real’  individual reading supplies at least half the information! In a ‘real’ reading, the parties are identified (including the gender of the questioner!), and so is the time frame if there is one. Here, we cannot do that, so we have variety.

Now, about Part Two, where you see how it’s done and even learn it.

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim ™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Daily Spread –  the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the message.

*Go to Learn Tarot by the Pictures.  It is what each of the four cards,  by itself,  has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in this Spread.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim ™ works. Regular visitors actually learn to read Tarot verbatim without trying.

I will refer my friend to this reading. She got a job offer, but she’s afraid to leave the job she’s been at for 15+ years for fear of the unknown, and leaving what is comfortable to her.

Several of these readings have been for my friends lately!

    • That’s good. Tarot Talks to them through you, you tell them to come see, and they come to the restaurant. Good work.

Ask that person to come for a week, and tell you how much he/she relates to the messages. Knowing how newbies experience Tarot Verbatim will help it to grow.

Questions that can be done for this situation are (1) How will I feel about my whole situation (in life) if I keep the job I have? – and pick a time ahead – let’s say a year is what she chooses. The second question is (2) How will I feel about my whole situation if I go to the other job? [same time period specified]

Maybe the view that *the persons in charge of her career at work (whoever they are, we don’t need to know)* have of her would be useful to her. Even, the view the new place will have of her (now) and (when she has worked there for X time) might be useful to her. That can be done if she thinks it’s meaningful.

      So thank you again, FCP.
