Guidance     “The nearer we get to our destination, the more we slip-slide away,” a song says. This is about that charmed payoff that happens despite the fear it inspires at the receiving end. This is the inner turmoil we go through when the smell of True Love is in the air. This is the apprehension we have about striking it rich. The delivery is made despite all, in today’s saga.

Are YOU here for the first time?Come in! People love this place! Full instructions are at the bottom.

Guidance and the Tarot Readings are for you if you just want your daily look ahead. “Guidance” is the summary, followed by your word for word Tarot Readings from the four Rider Waite Tarot cards you see pictured here. Pick the sentences that you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them. Sentences contradict one another because negative cards, in this group reading with no question, can attach to any of the other three cards.

There’s an abrupt change in someone you love, and you are worried about the future.

This isn’t easy anymore; it’s going to be stressful.

I find an easy way out when I’m afraid of what’s going to happen.

Three of Wands

Eight of Cups – Ace of Cups – Page of Swords

“Wonderful safe future is in the air – good times are coming” says Ace of Cups + Three of Wands. These two are about good health ahead as well. “No harm will come of it,” they say. They also speak of healthy finances, good money coming in. No harm, nothing bad, ahead.

To the left is Eight of Cups which says an abrupt change, getting off of one road or direction and onto another. It suggests this change could be a deflection off the road, and, if so, that the deflection is temporary. [See illustration.] It is a sudden departure, too.

To the right is Page of Swords. He is hyped up, excited, fearful or paranoid, alert. He does not trust the environment. The coast looks clear, but he smells danger. He is riled up physically.

When all of a sudden things look like they are going to be wonderful and safe, that’s when we up-periscope: Too good to be true? What’s in the fine print?

The main message is everything’s going to be all right, but keep one eye open for the unexpected, unforeseen switcheroo.

Eight of Cups This is a neutral card in Tarot Verbatim™. There’s an interruption, deflection, intervention, recess, detour or some kind of running off the road … usually, before things resume. You see the new and full moons conjoin here.
Ace of Cups represents the presence of divinity in a beneficent mode. It represents the flow of divine spirit, health, blessing, easy way, good things, relaxing, cooperating, complying and agreeing: no harm, all benefit. The wafer, the dove, the fountain with the five flows (Middle Ages five senses, five bodily fluids) are all Roman Catholic in origin.
Page of Swords describes that moment something goes ‘bump’ and your body goes on alert. You don’t see anything but the hairs on your arm sense ‘something.’ Alert, on guard, feeling a threat, being hyper, worked up. The illustration is perfect, isn’t it?
Three of Wands agrees with Ace of Cups: good things, yes. Ace of Cups is the flow and Three of Wands is the ships coming in on the water … with cargo, income. Your ship is coming in, Three of Wands says, and how plainer could the illustration be? Well, they could go ahead and color the water blue, I guess.

I N S T R U C T I O N S & Explanations

Did you come here just for your predictions? – If so, you are done when you finish reading the sentences of Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading.

Each Tarot sentence is a literal-interpretation reading of the scenes pictured on the four cards you see. Only what each of the cards says – phrase by phrase – no fillers – no psychic ability used. The readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. Tarot, all by itself, talks to you. This is a demonstration of that.

Tarot will address any group flexibly, as it does here of ‘all the visitors.’ (It can address ‘all the people at work who have a say in my raise,’ for instance, without you knowing who or where those people are.)

Horoscopes are group readings too.

Astrology has to be based on someone else’s birth data, though, so it does not solidly apply to you just because of where the sun was when you were born. (Astrologers know this.)

Emily wants to know whether these sentences are more accurate for regular visitors than for people who have come only a few times. Would you help with a comment, if that is who you are? Please?

Without a question to focus the answer,  four cards can mean contradictory things,  especially when the Spread has a card that means ‘no, never or not.’ That negative modifier can apply to any one of the cards.

Without a question also the pronouns (you, him, her, me, us, them, they, etc.) in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses,  feel very free to substitute.  Notice how, as much as possible, we drop pronouns, which makes for some awkward phrasing.

The question in a  ‘real’  individual reading supplies at least half the information! In a ‘real’ reading, the parties are identified (including the gender of the questioner!), and so is the time frame if there is one. In this group reading, we cannot do that, so we have variety.

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim ™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing. This tells the thinking regarding the combined four pictures in the Daily Spread –  the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the message.

*Go to Learn Tarot by the Pictures.  This is the meaning of each separate card.  This is how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in this Spread.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim ™ works. Regular visitors actually learn to read Tarot without trying. The Tarot Talks tab has some examples for students.

    Hi Emily

I am feeling ‘stuck’ in all areas of my life. Relationship and physical pain included. I do not like using the word ‘stuck’, but there isn’t another one that would describe how I feel. Feeling ‘stuck’ SO drains me and shows in a LOT of physical pain. Some days to much to handle….

    Thank you

    • King of Pentacles
Chariot – Seven of Wands – Queen of Cups

You are trying to drive straight ahead (Chariot) when the way is all against that (Seven of Wands); think (Queen of Cups) strategically, even manipulatively (King of Pentacles).

A guy who is proud of himself, studly or flamboyant (King of Pentacles) whom you admire (Queen of Cups) stands in the way (Seven of Wands) of your life purpose (Chariot).

      Six of Pentacles
Six of Cups – Nine of Swords – Eight of Wands

The good old days (Six of Cups), all sorts of things about that (Eight of Wands) when things were fair and you got what you deserved (Six of Pentacles) keep you up nights anguished (Nine of Swords).

      Six of Wands
Justice – Page of Cups – Ten of Swords

A silly idea (Page of Cups) that things are fair (Justice) has you all down and devastated, feeling defeat lower than a snake’s belly (Ten of Swords) that you are betrayed, undercut, double-crossed and misled by those who are supposed to be on your side (Six of Wands).

The gist of this is you have reached a point in growing up that the old molds, the old definitions and procedures, work against your progress instead of for it. You are meant to go in another direction. Queen of Cups suggests you know about that.

Quite often, sickness accompanies spiritual growth, especially if you are called to any level of mystic service. I don’t see the brain-scrambling that goes along with mystical phenomena, though, here.

This reaffirms your comments from yesterday. Maybe the reason I’m feeling so ill at ease with my potential romantic future is because it is indeed about to start.

  4. Anna

Yes, I’ve been talking to a new guy online and we’ll probably meet in person soon and I’m excited. He could be “the one” 🙂

    • If not, he’s research.

‘The One’ would be a good tee shirt slogan: Girls would give it to potentials. Of course, you could also put that red circle with a diagonal line through it on top of the text, too ….

      • Win

You are a very funny Lady, Emily…Truely written with a fun smile, thanks!

        • Hee, hee.
See, Win, I never learned to take life seriously. All the grownups were obviously defective units and the world was obviously not meant to be taken seriously. I never did get the hang of it, and after a while, I saw no reason to.
