Guidance   Our stories today are about resisting or not resisting influences, being influenced by habits and substances and bad people – or not being influenced by the same. Our stories are about either participating in relationship, deal or negotiation … or not. Our stories contrast being assertive or proactive, or being passive – making it happen or letting it happen to us. Our story is about our choices.

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in! People love this place! Full instructions are at the bottom.

Guidance and the Tarot Readings are for you if you just want your daily look ahead. “Guidance” is the summary, followed by your word for word Tarot Readings from the four Rider Waite Tarot cards you see pictured here. Pick the sentences that you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them. Sentences contradict one another because negative cards, in this group reading with no question, can attach to any of the other three cards.

Four of Swords

Strength, Three of Pentacles, Two of Cups

Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.

Headings: [So you can pick what’s yours]

Headings [So you can choose which belongs to you]

Tarot Readings: Sexual Love Affair (Three of Pentacles + Two of Cups)

Tarot Verbatim: Handling a Business Deal (Strength + Three of Pentacles)

Tarot Readings: Overcoming Bad Habits (Strength + Two of Cups)

Tarot Readings: Sexual Love Affair (Three of Pentacles + Two of Cups)

Having an affair with an assertive woman, he can be passive in the relationship.

She has him under her control, both covertly and overtly – it’s not even a relationship.

He stays in a relationship with her because of she is assertive sexually.

Let the relationship be, don’t do anything but influence him to be attracted to you.

She fixes it so her lover doesn’t do any other relationships.

She puts the quietus on his manipulative ways by just not having anything to do with him when they are together.

She exerts undue influence on the fellow, and he stays in the relationship.

She suppresses her lust for the boy by not meeting him face to face.

When he doesn’t do his part in their relationship, she manipulatively makes him do what he should.

She gets him to do a grand love affair and a sleepover.

She is so forceful about him getting together with her that they are no longer together.

The way she touches him intimately keeps him in the relationship.

Tarot Verbatim: Handling a Business Deal (Strength + Three of Pentacles)

Keep (him) from cheating you, (he) isn’t going to settle up on the deal.

Don’t do anything, just let her hang herself in the transaction.

She doesn’t let him suck her in and then not do his part in their agreement.

She keeps any third party from interfering in the transaction, so it remains just as it is.

Insiders secretly opposed something that did not close.

She keeps them from opposing what the team is doing by going over their heads.

She does not get in the way of the insider trading.

She causes his affair to end without even meeting the third party.

The meeting is put on hold until we deal with some outside factors that impinge on it.

She is such a skilled negotiator that they don’t ‘try anything’ with her.

That was the meeting you were not at where she got some special favor out of us.

They way she doesn’t let them fool us is: She just doesn’t negotiate with them.

We won’t let (him) get away with kickbacks, so he won’t do anything until he is paid.

Trading is suspended to keep (them) from cheating.

She solves the double-agent problem: He isn’t part of the deal anymore.

She fixes the source of the leak: She doesn’t meet with that person anymore.

When you sleep through a meeting, you are going to be dealt with harshly.

Tarot Readings: Overcoming Bad Habits (Strength + Two of Cups)

I am overcoming the enemy within, I have not ‘made a buy.’

These people I am with are a bad influence on me that I have not yet overcome.

Other people have too much influence on me, and I don’t have enough influence on them.

I am not participating in a drug habit, but meeting with these people will make me do it.

Keeps him from meeting with them so they aren’t influencing him with drugs.

Four of Swords

Strength, Three of Pentacles, Two of Cups

Strength and Two of Cups are both influences in Tarot Verbatim (TM). Strength is to exert influence overtly; Two of Cups is covert influence.

Strength is assertive, Strength means to keep (a person or animal) from; Four of Swords refrains from.

Three of Pentacles are participants; Four of Swords means to not participate.

Two of Cups is to be habituated to something; Strength is to overcome habits and internal vices.

Our stories today are about resisting or not resisting influences, being influenced by habits and substances and bad people – or not being influenced by the same. Our stories are about either participating in relationship, deal or negotiation … or not. Our stories contrast being assertive or proactive, or being passive – making it happen or letting it happen to us.

Our story is about our choices.

Strength A woman in a white gown with garlands who has the eternity sign as a halo is making a beast who wants to attack her purr instead, as she subdues him, shutting his mouth (rendering him harmless). Strength is an assertive overt influence over forces (both internal and external, physical and spiritual) that would hold you back. Strength overcomes (anything), including vices and habits and enemies.
Three of Pentacles People meet together to negotiate an agreement on a deal or transaction. The architect demonstrates with the blueprint that he is entitled to be paid. This Rider Waite Tarot card in Tarot Verbatim (TM) is also about relationship.
Two of Cups is dark side influences and third-party influences of any kind, in Tarot Verbatim (TM). The caduceus [the symbol over the couple pledging their troth (engagement) of the lion’s head with snakes and wings] is about the influence of bad spirits. So this card is about covert influence, evil influence; it is about being hooked or habituated on anything.
Four of Swords The candidate for knighthood (Did anyone ever flunk out?) does a vision quest on the sarcophagus of a saint or hero in the cathedral, and tells his dream vision to the bishop. Today Four of Swords is passive or not participating. Four of Swords refrains from. Four of Swords means to not participate.

I N S T R U C T I O N S & Explanations (Comments are below this.)

Did you come here just for your predictions? – If so, you are done when you finish reading the sentences of Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading.

Each Tarot sentence is a literal-interpretation reading of the scenes pictured on the four cards you see. Only what each of the cards says – phrase by phrase – no fillers – no psychic ability used. The readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. Tarot, all by itself, talks to you. This is a demonstration of that .

Tarot will address any group flexibly, as it does here of ‘all the visitors.’ (It can address ‘all the people at work who have a say in my raise,’ for instance, without you knowing who or where those people are.)

Horoscopes are group readings too.

Astrology has to be based on someone else’s birth data, though, so it does not solidly apply to you just because of where the sun was when you were born. (Astrologers know this.)

Emily wants to know whether these sentences are more accurate for regular visitors than for people who have come only a few times. Would you help with a comment, if that is who you are? Please?

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things,  especially when the Spread has a card that means ‘no, never or not.’ That negative modifier can apply to any one of the cards.

Without a question also the pronouns (you, him, her, me, us, them, they, etc.) in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute.  Notice how, as much as possible, we drop pronouns, which makes for some awkward phrasing.

The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information! In a ‘real’ reading, the parties are identified (including the gender of the questioner!), and so is the time frame if there is one. In this group reading, we cannot do that, so we have variety.

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim ™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing. This tells the thinking regarding the combined four pictures in the Daily Spread –  the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the message.

*Go to Learn Tarot by the Pictures.  This is the meaning of each separate card.  This is how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in this Spread.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim ™ works. Regular visitors actually learn to read Tarot without trying. The Tarot Talks tab has some examples for students.

There may just be a sleep-over coming up with long-distance cute boy we talked Thursday. When you read it in the cards I thought . . seems unlikely, because I hadn’t heard from him for a while But I just got an e-mail asking what conference I’d be attending next! Feeling Studly indeed . . .

    • Fascinating how putting a question to Tarot results in useful and accurate information most of the time. (Most of the time, when I don’t agree with Tarot, it wins!)
This study intrigued me in 1980 and it still does.
May the sleepover be mutually satisfactory!

Agh. I’m making an igloo out of Fed-ex boxes for my daughter. It’s frustrating. It keeps falling down. My plan was to paper mache it with paper towels so it’s translucent and then collapse the box structure. The first time I boxed myself inside and tried cutting myself out the way Eskimos do it, but it collapsed on me. Now I’m trying with the exit sections lightly taped together so I can punch it out when I’m boxed in…. I AM GOING TO MAKE THIS IGLOO HAPPEN! WILL NOT GIVE UP….

    • Hmmm. When I was typing this day’s blog, I had spent most of the day filling out a form for a company that was (supposedly) going to make a new one … and the computer ate it all, irretrievable. Hope you have better result with your igloo.

Last night’s date was a no go. To much dark stuff hanging over the whole thing. The wisest decision . .. not to persue. Thanks Emily . .

  4. Lori

Don’t do anything, just let her hang herself in the transaction…..pretty sure that is for me about the witch at work. I just want this investogation (of me) finished so I can back on with my life.
