Guidance    Our theme is using down time to best advantage. That yields the very best result in our affairs, in our personal and commercial life. How often the dark night of our soul turns out to be a refreshing experience when it’s done? – because it impels us to do our homework, that’s why!

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in! People love this place! Full instructions are at the bottom.

Guidance and the Tarot Readings are for you if you just want your daily look ahead. “Guidance” is the summary, followed by your word for word Tarot Readings from the four Rider Waite Tarot cards you see pictured here. Pick the sentences that you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them. Sentences contradict one another because negative cards, in this group reading with no question, can attach to any of the other three cards.

Nine of Cups  Five of Pentacles  Queen of Wands

First thing that hits you in the face looking at these four Rider Waite Tarot cards together is Nine of Cups is having it all and Five of Pentacles is having lost it all.

Nine of Cups is the fat fella with the nine empties on the mantle, while Five of Pentacles is ‘bums on the street,’ a mother and son who are in rags in a blizzard passing by a church in which food and warmth are there for them … passing by because they are numb with despair. This card represents (for those who are so inclined) the Roman Catholic concept of ‘Dark Night of the Soul,’ also called ‘aridity’ in old texts.

WHAT a contrast! They make for some interesting and arresting phrases in our sentences.

Our other two Rider Waite Tarot cards are the manager of home or enterprise, also known as The Wife (Queen of Wands), and the skilled strategist who manages a project or enterprise (Chariot). These are male and female cards that pretty much have the same meaning.

Nine of Cups + Chariot both address your dream (Nine of Cups), your goal (Chariot). We find, in our group reading sentences, Nine of Cups meaning ‘wants’ and Chariot meaning ‘aims,’ two very similar words.

Nine of Cups + Chariot means ‘aims to get it all’ and ‘decides he wants to.’

Our theme is using down time to best advantage. That yields the very best result in our affairs, in our personal and commercial life.

Nine of Cups
Five of Pentacles
Queen of Wands

Nine of Cups The fat fella with the nine empties on the mantle behind him and the wide grin on his face represents having it all, surfeit, what you want, getting what you want, being satisfied, pleasing or making someone happy, and even greed.

Five of Pentacles is losing everything, being homeless, bums on the street, poverty, broke, poor times, exhaustion and numbness. A mother and son who are in rags in a blizzard pass by a church in which food and warmth are there for them … passing by because they are numb with despair. This card represents (for those who are so inclined) the Roman Catholic concept of ‘Dark Night of the Soul,’ also called ‘aridity’ in old texts – a phase in spiritual life.

Queen of Wands A skilled, practical and pragmatic woman manager of home or enterprise, also known as The Wife, is our illustration. She is the competent Mama who makes the house rules – a plain woman with that alert look on her face, a flower in one hand and a big stick in the other. Her black cat suggests otherworldly ability.

Chariot The master strategist who gets the job done whatever the challenge is, without fanfare. He has decided, he has a goal he is focused on, a project he is accomplishing by any means possible, using even the factors that impede progress to further it. The Charioteer was the war hero of his day.

I N S T R U C T I O N S & Explanations (Comments are below this.)

Did you come here just for your predictions? – If so, you are done when you finish reading the sentences of Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading.

Each Tarot sentence is a literal-interpretation reading of the scenes pictured on the four cards you see. Only what each of the cards says – phrase by phrase – no fillers – no psychic ability used. The readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. Tarot, all by itself, talks to you. This is a demonstration of that .

Tarot will address any group flexibly, as it does here of ‘all the visitors.’ (It can address ‘all the people at work who have a say in my raise,’ for instance, without you knowing who or where those people are.)

Horoscopes are group readings too.

Astrology has to be based on someone else’s birth data, though, so it does not solidly apply to you just because of where the sun was when you were born. (Astrologers know this.)

Emily wants to know whether these sentences are more accurate for regular visitors than for people who have come only a few times. Would you help with a comment, if that is who you are? Please?

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things,  especially when the Spread has a card that means ‘no, never or not.’ That negative modifier can apply to any one of the cards.

Without a question also the pronouns (you, him, her, me, us, them, they, etc.) in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute.  Notice how, as much as possible, we drop pronouns, which makes for some awkward phrasing.

The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information! In a ‘real’ reading, the parties are identified (including the gender of the questioner!), and so is the time frame if there is one. In this group reading, we cannot do that, so we have variety.

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim ™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing. This tells the thinking regarding the combined four pictures in the Daily Spread –  the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the message.

*Go to Learn Tarot by the Pictures.  This is the meaning of each separate card.  This is how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in this Spread.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim ™ works. Regular visitors actually learn to read Tarot without trying. The Tarot Talks tab has some examples for students.

  1. Jules

This has been very useful for me today. I am in downtime before a very busy work season starts. Use that time wisely, I hear that. Also, my love life has skidded to a halt, downtime on both subjects. Matches the diminishing light of the season, especially where I live (geographically).

    • Time to catch up on sleep and clean out clutter. I find myself going to bed earlier, especially since the (indoor) chickens wake up early. It’s the down time of year, and, yes, we make the best use of the early darkness.

  2. Raquel

Today’s cards have a lot to say about me. Not only does it confirm that I can’t afford the car that I wish I could have right now, it also underlines the fact that I want to be a married women, but I have been deprived of that dream once already.

    • Baby Princess Rolls convertible was always my dream car. Make the car and the man a project, and you will have them. Thank you for dropping by, I enjoy your contribution.

  3. Lori

The message I got from the sentences was a simple “be patient”.
