Tarot Readings for You for February 8, 2013 Friday(c)

Feb 7, 2013 by

Guidance   Here you have the traditional formula for success.  Today’s is a  sermon that says if you want to make something of yourself, you have to pay the price and keep trucking.  The message is that you decide to do something, you start it, you keep at it no matter what its problems are, and you’ve got yourself a future worth having:  success, you arrive.

Are YOU here for the first time?  Come in!  People love this place!  Our site is divided into four sections: Guidance, Tarot Readings, Learn Tarot by Observation, and Learn Tarot by Pictures.
If you just want your daily look ahead, Guidance and Tarot Readings are all you need.  ‘Guidance’ is a summary of what the cards are generally advising visitors to be aware of that day.  ‘Tarot Readings’ is the actual word for word messages the cards are conveying.  Tarot can come up with a wide variety of sentences (sometimes even completely contradictory sentences!) in a group reading as there is no specific question being asked.  So, go ahead and pick the sentences you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them for yourself.

Want even more insight and information about a specific situation in your life? Tarot Readings:  Fears About Success, Paying the Price, Hanging in There (Nine of Wands + Chariot)

I have decided to start doing something that I have misgivings about continuing.

There’s a tension that goes along with starting up a moneymaking project.

Oh, I’m going to be so anxious about whether I can be successful at what I am doing.

This is the way I am making my income, and it will be for as long as I can hang in there.

When you decide to do something, there’s always something you can be afraid will happen along the way.

I aim to be doing something that brings in good income; I put myself under pressure about this.

Nervous about whether I can do the things that will get me ahead on the income that I have coming in.

My strategy is paying off but I am getting on my own nerves.

Oh how I sweated out doing what it took to get where I already am, and there’s more to come!

Tarot Readings:  Determination, Deciding and Doing (Magician + Chariot)

When you find yourself worrying about the future, decide on what to do about it, and do it.

Hang in there, do the best you can diligently, and everything will be all right.

Sacrificing now for a strategy that will bring me a good future.

I have made and am making myself responsible to handle whatever crap the future brings.

No matter what it takes to accomplish getting where I’m going, I will be doing that.

Take care of yourself, make your own financial future, whatever it takes out of you.

There’s always going to be things to worry about, just do something, take command of the situation at hand.

Tarot Readings:  All That Worry and Stress Pays Off (Nine of Wands + Three of Wands)

All my worrying, and my taking responsibility for what I am doing, is paying off, by golly.

I started out nervous about this decision, but it will pay off.

By golly, I did it! – it looks like I’m going to make it after all.

The way to arrive is to hang in there and keep doing what you are doing.

You decide what you’re going to do, you do it and keep doing it no matter the hazards … you succeed.

Tarot Readings:  Vehicle, Road Trip (Chariot)

I’m worried about my vehicle but will drive it for the foreseeable future.

We start out, and we decide to stay on the road despite the weather, we are going to get there.

Magician and Chariot are acting to create what they desire; they are about will power.  Magician stresses doing it – taking action.  Chariot stresses strategy, goal, determination, taking charge, taking responsibility … and success.  Often it is about leadership too; Chariot tends to be in command of not only situation but a project, which of course involves other people.  Magician acts alone; it stresses the ‘do’ and the ‘make’ and the ‘bring it about.’  Both of these cards are male, especially Magician which is the male principle in the esoteric sense.

Three of Wands tells us  the payoff is coming for sure, and also suggests a continuing situation and the future tense.  Three of Wands is eyeballing the payoff.

Nine of Wands is the ‘hanging in there’ that a continuing journey involves.  Nine of Wands is staying on the road despite the weather and the price of fuel.  Nine of Wands is paying the price in worry that success usually involves.

Nine of Wands and Chariot are both military, both have enemies.  We don’t use those meanings today, by the way.  “We are going to have to do something to engage the enemy” would be one of its sentences.  Nine of Wands is defending (the border guard) and Chariot is offensive military, including strategy.  Charioteers were the special forces of armies of history.

Put it all together, and you have the traditional formula for success. Today’s is a  sermon that says if you want to make something of yourself, you have to pay the price and keep trucking.  The message is that you decide to do something, you start it, you keep at it no matter what its problems are, and you’ve got yourself a future worth having:  success, you arrive.

Magician    We catch him in the act of creating, his arm raised to bring down the desired result. The tools of his trade, expressed as the suits of the Tarot, are on the work table.  Magician emphasizes doing, taking action, bringing something about, making something happen. Magician also emphasizes ‘do it yourself,’ a person acting alone or the acts of a person.  It often simply means ‘he’ or ‘I,’ and also any form of the verbs do or make.  Esoterically speaking, Magician is the male principle, which simply means to be active rather than receptive in a given environment or plane.

Nine of Wands    See the border guard, his wounds from the last attack not yet healed, still at his post?  This is you sweating it out.  This is hanging in there. Nine of Wands is that feeling of staying on the long road despite weather, price of fuel, or whatever hazards may present themselves. It’s about justified fears.  It’s about how we pay the price in tension and worry of our successes.

Chariot    Charioteers were the special forces of armies of yore; what they did involved strategy as well as guts and skill.  Chariot is about ambition.  Chariot is even more about  accomplishing the project or achieving your own purpose by using all factors to your advantage, including the adverse ones. Goal.  Determination.  Taking charge, being in command of the situation or environment.  Taking responsibility, ‘the buck stops here.’  Success.  Leadership.  Management.  Getting it done no matter what.  His steeds are sphinxes, and he has a magic wand instead of reins.  Tradition is, one sphinx will go only left, and one will go only right (See the reverse colors on them?), so our Charioteer has hitched them so they have to go forward:  strategy, and skill in making recalcitrant individuals ‘get with the program.’

Three of Wands    This is you waiting for the payoff that is coming for sure, the paycheck that is in the mail.  You are watching your ship come in:  You are eyeballing the payoff.  Three of Wands suggests the future tense as well as a continuing (whatever), and waiting.  It often means income or money coming in.  “Yes, it’s going to happen,” it often says.

Each and every ‘Tarot Reading’ sentence you see is a literal interpretation of the four Rider Waite Tarot cards drawn and pictured for today. (The literal interpretation is from the illustration on each card.) These sentences are put together by only combining the phrases of what each cards says. In other words, there are NO “filler” phrases added just to make full sentences, and no psychic ability or spirit guide is ever involved.

*Without a question* in a group reading to focus the answer, the four Tarot cards can mean quite contradictory things, especially when the Spread has a card that means ‘no,’ ‘never’ or ‘not.’ These negative modifiers can apply to any one of the other cards.
*Without a question* in a group reading, the pronouns (you, him, her, me, us, them, they, etc.) are more flexible. Whenever you see a pronoun in parentheses, please *feel very free* to substitute another pronoun than the one used. I try to drop pronouns when possible, which, if you’ve noticed, can make for awkward phrasing.

Now in an ‘real’ individual reading, the questioner asks a specific question and thereby supplies at least half the information! In an individual situation, the parties are identified and sometimes a time frame is too. Here, in a group reading we cannot do that and so we get a variety of sentences.

Horoscopes are group readings, too. Astrology is based on someone else’s birth data, though, so a ‘solar’ group horoscope never really solidly applies to you! (Astrologers know this!)

Tarot, on the other hand, is perfectly capable of flexibly addressing any group, including all of the visitors that come to this site. It can also address people you might not even know personally, such as all the people at your job who have a say in whether or not you get a raise.

We have been wondering here lately whether the Tarot Verbatim(TM) sentences are more accurate for regular visitors than they are for people who visit this site only once in awhile or for a short time. Would you help us with a comment please, if you have not been a regular visitor? Just let us know if the sentences are relevant to you. So far, people say they do apply.

Return to this site often and you can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim(TM) works. Regular visitors actually learn to read Rider Waite Tarot cards with very little effort.

Yes, fun and inspiring read. I’m in the middle,(feels like the muddle sometimes)
of my endeavor, so goals can become less clear.

This made me chuckle ” My strategy is paying off but I am getting on my own nerves”. True that.
    Thanks Emily.

    • True point you make there about goals being trimmed and modified in the middle of an enterprise. (I enjoyed that sentence about strategy too.)

  2. Jaclyn
