Tarot Readings for You for April 16, 2013 Tuesday(c)

Apr 15, 2013 by

Guidance    Today is about roles we and others play. It’s about appearances. Sometimes we ‘get with the program’ to be a team player and ‘I do my part as we all see it.’ We don’t think of that as playing a role, but it is: There is some artifice to our actions. ‘All the world’s a stage,’ Shakespeare wrote. There’s a spectrum to our being the actor in the mutual play, and the dark end of that spectrum is of course playing the role and fitting in, having an agenda that does not benefit the other players, or even having a scheme to take advantage or harm them.

So we have both “I did it again; I got in the groove of being a sweet affectionate boyfriend” and “Your buddy is doing the routine to get you to go along with his scheme again.”

To You: Today is the second time I put the phrases that make each sentence in a list under that sentence. Would like to know whether you think this is too cumbersome and you don’t want to see it, whether you think it’s flat-out wonderful and you want it here all the time, or whether you think ‘once in a while but not every darn day.’

Instructions:

Are YOU here for the first time? People love this place!

Here’s what’s going on. See the pictures? Those are the four Rider Waite Tarot cards that make today’s messages (group messages) for you (and the people around you).

The site is divided into four sections. The first is a summary, an overview. That’s Guidance (above).

The second is the actual one-sentence group readings, Group Analytical Tarot Readings. If you have come just for your day’s trends, you can go now. You pick out the ones you intuitively relate to, and decide whether to seek or avoid that. People relate to these! See their comments, at the very bottom. We would *love* to hear from you. Don’t be shy!

These answers don’t have a question (or a questioner) to frame them, so, yes, they can be contradictory – especially when one of the cards means ‘not’ or other negative word. The negative can apply to any of the other cards. And many of the pronouns are flexible. Feel free to substitute.

The third section, Learn Tarot by Observation, is the reasoning that makes those four cards say the things you just read in the sentences. It’s what an expert would be thinking.

The last section, Learn Tarot by Pictures, is the individual meanings of each card, based mostly on its picture, which you are looking at. Read this frequently, and you remember what some of the cards mean.

Magician and Knight of Cups both are about taking initiative, and getting something started, and both are about males. Come to think of it, Judgment also is to start a new phase or a new life. That’s three of four, you know.

Magician’s main meaning is ‘male who does,’ in any form and in any context. Magician also means ‘to initiate’ or start something. It means ‘act’ and refers to action.

Knight of Cups’ main focus is making the first friendly move, as in putting a hand out, making peace, starting a romance or friendship. He is the warm fuzzy younger man. I call him the guitar player or Sir Lancelot.

Together, Magician and Knight of Cups say that Boyfriend takes initiative, that he makes the first move affectionately.

Judgment’s emphasis today is coming back or doing it again, or going back to the way things used to be. Judgment too is about starting a new phase or life. It often translates ‘again.’

Six of Wands, there’s a spectrum to its meanings. It’s about appearances. Its core meaning is performing a role. That can apply to doing your part as agreed, fair and square, in what’s going on with other people, ; and it could mean pretending to be ‘one of them’ whilst working a betrayal of them. As a person, Six of Wands is a sneaky strategist and a person who is ‘lookin’ out for number one.’ Six of Wands is that buddy you gotta keep an eye on. Six of Wands is also the narc or informer type situation in which the betrayal could be for a greater cause. The spy is a traitor to one side, hero to the other. Sometimes Six of Wands is advice to be more selfish.

Elements of our stories today are Talk, Action, Pretense, and Being a Friend. Wonder how many novels one could write with that outline? Betraying a friend, and doing what I said I would do: Both of these are stated here. How one expresses the agenda determines whether one’s friends join in the endeavor and act upon it. Getting people to agreeably do what you tell them to is some trick ….

Judgment The angel who wakes the dead on Judgment Day gives rise to several unrelated meanings. Today we use only a few. Judgment’s emphasis today is coming back or doing it again, or going back to the way things used to be. Judgment too is about starting a new phase or life. It often translates ‘again.’

Magician He is doing his job of bringing an event from ‘up there’ ‘down here.’ He wears the eternity-sign as a halo, raises his magic want up, points down. Esoterically, he represents the male principle. Meanings for Magician are simple: Magician’s main meaning is ‘male who does,’ in any form and in any context. Magician also means ‘to initiate’ or start something. It means ‘act’ and refers to action.

Six of Wands There’s a scene of a victory at a battle in which the king was kidnapped into captivity so the next-in-line fellow could take over the throne, so it isn’t really the victory it seems. Six of Wands is about appearances. Its core meaning is performing a role. That can apply to doing your part as agreed, fair and square, in what’s going on with other people (being a team player), and it could mean pretending to be ‘one of them’ whilst working against them. As a person, Six of Wands is a sneaky strategist and a person who is ‘lookin’ out for number one.’ Six of Wands is that buddy you gotta keep an eye on. Six of Wands is also the narc or an informer type situation in which the betrayal could be for a greater cause. The spy is a traitor to one side, hero to the other. Sometimes Six of Wands is advice to be more selfish.

Knight of Cups is your friend, your buddy, the good guy, the boyfriend you get along with easily. The main focus of Knight of Cups is making the first friendly move, as in putting a hand out, making peace, starting a romance or friendship. He is the warm fuzzy younger man. I call him the guitar player or Sir Lancelot.

EXPLANATIONS:

Each and every ‘Tarot Reading’ sentence you see is a literal interpretation of the four Rider Waite Tarot cards drawn and pictured for today. (The literal interpretation is from the illustration on each card.) These sentences are put together by only combining the phrases of what each cards says. In other words, there are NO “filler” phrases added just to make full sentences, and no psychic ability or spirit guide is ever involved.

Now in an ‘real’ individual reading, the questioner asks a specific question and thereby supplies at least half the information! In a personal reading, the parties are identified and sometimes a time frame is too. Here, in a group reading we cannot do that and so we get a variety of sentences.
Horoscopes are group readings, too. Astrology is based on someone else’s birth data, though, so a ‘solar’ group horoscope never really solidly applies to you! (Astrologers want you to know this!)

Tarot, on the other hand, is perfectly capable of flexibly addressing any group, including all of the visitors that come to this site. It can also address people you might not even know personally, such as all the people at your job who have a say in whether or not you get a raise.

    Hi Emily,

In response to your question :

“Today is the second time I put the phrases that make each sentence in a list under that sentence. Would like to know whether you think this is too cumbersome and you don’t want to see it, whether you think it’s flat-out wonderful and you want it here all the time, or whether you think ‘once in a while but not every darn day.”

I think it is a little more information then is possibly necessary. I find it very useful when you pair all the cards in various ” Two card combinations” this allows me to find those pairs in all the spreads that I do. The single phrases for each card is a lot to wade through. Just m
y opinion of course and I certainly appreciate all you do here, Thank-you, Best, Jocelyne

My reflections today were about being a Team Leader without really being a boss. I need to get friendly cooperation at work to ge my team to function effectively, even though most of the group are natural enemies. Some days are challenging to say the least . . .

    • Without knowing anything more than that, I have two perspectives. One is that each person’s perspective on things is in terms of his gifts, his talents, his influence, so when you talk to a person whose cooperation you want, slip into how they would see what they can do. This will bring being proud of oneself to the forefront, and a desire for the success of the mission.

The other is there are some magic phrases. Feel for them, watch reactions and actions. Things like ‘What WE want to do here is’ and ‘If we do it this way, it will’ say, ‘take less time’ or something.

Most companies have meetings, gatherings, lunch rooms or picnics or dances to get people together out of the context of roles at work.

New format is interesting but not necessary everyday

    • I agree with you. It is cluttered. Upcoming is another format, done at the bottom after the usual presentation, of the six two-card phrases the spread makes. I find it best, myself.

First, it leaves the sentences undisturbed, so you can scan them to see whether they apply to you and how to adopt (or quash) them.

Secondly, the two-card phrases are more conducive to remembering and applying the information, the meanings, in my opinion.

Lastly, the can skip over them if it’s not for you, or if you are in a hurry.

If a person wants to learn to read Tarot accurately without any spirit involvement, regularly visiting and absorbing what is here will accomplish that, methinks.

      • Mary

Like the new format – helps me learn tarot! But, agreed, not needed everyday.

        • Thank you, Mary. Thinking, now, is to put a few right in the other sentences, using the ones that ‘flow’ the best.
