Tarot Readings for You for May 16, 2013 Wednesday(c)

May 15, 2013 by

Guidance     You are being hit by both in-your-face pressure and behind-your-back pressure: Watch for it and feel superior. You can fight fire with fire; you can answer a game with a game. The ‘straight man’ can be as cagey as the ‘comedian.’ Here’s a bad-guy pretending he isn’t really taking advantage of (you), deceiving or coercing (you) in order to apply sneaky subtle pressure. And here’s the intended victim (you?) borrowing the same tactic, pretending the pressure isn’t being applied, that (you) simply aren’t affected because (you are) oblivious – unaware – maybe too naïve, too good-natured or even too stupid to ‘get it.’ Hold onto this tactic to the very end and you finesse a victory over an energy vampire, mooch, con artist, proselytizer, or other such propagandist, without any battle lines being drawn. Congratulations!

Instructions:

Are YOU here for the first time? People love this place!

Here’s what’s going on. See the pictures? Those are the four Rider Waite Tarot cards that make today’s messages (group messages) for you (and the people around you).

The site is divided into four sections. The first is a summary, an overview. That’s Guidance (above).

The second is the actual one-sentence group readings, Group Analytical Tarot Readings. If you have come just for your day’s trends, you can go now. You pick out the ones you intuitively relate to, and decide whether to seek or avoid that. People relate to these! See their comments, at the very bottom. We would *love* to hear from you. Don’t be shy!

.Answers don’t have a question (or a questioner) to frame them, so, yes, they can be contradictory – especially when one of the cards means ‘not’ or other negative word. The negative can apply to any of the other cards. And many of the pronouns are flexible. Feel free to substitute

The third section, Learn Tarot by Observation, is the reasoning that makes those four cards say the things you just read in the sentences. It’s what an expert would be thinking.

The last section, Learn Tarot by Pictures, is the individual meanings of each card, based mostly on its picture, which you are looking at. Read this frequently, and you remember what some of the cards mean.

Tarot Readings: Trust and Have Faith Everything Will Be Fine (Two of Wands and Fool)

Make every effort to put your best food forward and trust it’s going to be fine.

Everything’s going to be fine, it only seems threatening.

My faith will keep any intended harm away.

Tarot Readings: Don’t Give In to Pressure and Games (Fool and Seven of Wands)

I block games people play, so I will be free of them.

I’m just going to resist the influence of those people.

I’m going to outsmart them and not let them know they are pressuring me.

You are being hit by both in-your-face pressure and behind-your-back pressure: Watch for it and feel superior.

Tarot Readings: Ignore (Fool)

He can holler all he wants, I will ignore his attempt to interfere.

Want to be financially secure? – don’t be there for (him) to get in your face to get you to do for (him).

I will pretend I don’t hear him when he has a tantrum.

We have been ignoring his shady dealing but we plan a showdown.

You have to fake it: Act like you don’t know it will happen.

You will be free of both overt and covert interference by not acknowledging it exists.

He will intrude and he will interfere and you will pretend he isn’t there.

Tarot Readings: Not Consciously Aware; Had No Idea (Fool)

A threat to security is so subversive you aren’t even consciously aware of it.

You know, I had no idea this person was such a pushy and sneaky bastard … but I will from now on.

Something (he) assumes is virtual hits (him) in the face unexpectedly.

Had no idea he would carry the b.s. To the point of defending it.

You will not notice the effort behind the propaganda.

He assumes he has outfoxed everybody; he will be in shock when they push back.

He assumes he is going to con us with his big mouth.

There’s no plan behind the display of force.

Tarot Readings: Pretense, ‘Acting Like” (Six of Wands)

The plan is to manipulate us and pretend they are not being pushy.

Will keep up the pretense of not knowing a thing by raising hell about it.

He always cheats, he doesn’t know why you would fuss about it.

He will protest that it isn’t really a betrayal.

He acts like – insists – that he is going to, and then ‘doesn’t remember.’

Will act like (he) isn’t the tattletale even when confronted.

Tarot Readings: Strategy to Go Along With (Them) (Six of Wands)

You’re just going to have to play the role for a while.

Go along with (them) as if you will, and then refuse forcibly.

Tarot Readings: Loudly Denying (Six of Wands and Seven of Wands)

The campaigners are not going to take ‘Hell no’ for an answer.

When he is cornered, he will insist he isn’t an informant.

There isn’t any conspiracy, he will insist.

He will loudly insist it’s not his self-interest behind it.

Seven of Wands

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Six of Wands is at it again: interference in your affairs. Lots of possibilities as to what form or what kind. We are off the love theme today. (Look for what we describe here to be happening to someone around you instead of directly to you. I just have that impression.)

Fool and Six of Wands both refer to ‘acts like,’ to the kind of pretense that denies what is really going on. Fool simply acts oblivious, but Six of Wands (as always) is up to something in his pretense or denial.

Two of Wands and Six of Wands also are both about self-interest. Two of Wands is a legitimate self-interest, a respectable and legal profit (whether fair or not). Six of Wands is the shyster, the shady deal, the pretense of the con who is taking advantage or the bullshitter.

Then there is the in-your-face confrontation, the forceful insistence or denial of Seven of Wands. Seven of Wands is putting overt pressure, whereas Six of Wands is putting subversive or sneaky pressure.

Two of Wands He owns the town, you know. Here he stands upon his elegant roof patio, pondering what to do next to get even more money out of the real estate below. Two of Wands’ main trunks of meaning are financial security or the financial outlook (almost always positive), and the future or a plan/planning. Most often, you see it making ‘will’ or another verb that is future tense. It will put another card’s meaning into the future too: ‘He loves you’ may become ‘He will love you.’

.

Fool He blithely skips to the edge of a cliff, not looking where he is going on a beautiful day. The underlying meaning to Fool is that a person who lives ‘out there’ is free of both overt and covert interference simply by not feeding it his attention. Its common meanings are to ignore, to be oblivious, subconscious, to be lighthearted, to be free of, to be devil-may-care, to not be present, to not be the person who (whatever). It is also about being young, going outside, enjoying the day, and certainly not worrying. Fool is kind of a ‘What, me worry?’ card.

Six of Wands Betrayal and sabotage are the themes of Six of Wands. King Richard has won a battle against some Arabs but the fellow next in line for the throne of England has arranged for the Arabs to kidnap or capture him, and never let him go. A hollow or Pyrrhic victory, winning the battle and losing the war type thing. In application, Six of Wands is the mooches, game players, cheaters, con artists, energy vampires, pretenders and deceivers of your existence. The sneaky self-interested ones who are entitled to operate on someone else’s money. Pretense is very much part of Six of Wands.

Seven of Wands This is you mad as hell and not taking it anymore. Or this is you under in-your-face pressure from some very entitled demanding person, or this is you being intruded upon and interfered with overtly. Of course, this could be you having the tantrum, too. Seven of Wands is about neighbors ganging up on a fellow who is defending himself against all of them at once (a struggle against the odds). There’s an assumption the person in the right wins.

PLANATIONS: SKIP THIS (AND THE TAGS) TO GO TO COMMENTS, BELOW. (Use the arrow on the right lower screen.)

Each and every ‘Tarot Reading’ sentence you see is a literal interpretation of the four Rider Waite Tarot cards drawn and pictured for today. (The literal interpretation is from the illustration on each card.) These sentences are put together by only combining the phrases of what each cards says. In other words, there are NO “filler” phrases added just to make full sentences, and no psychic ability or spirit guide is ever involved.

Now in an ‘real’ individual reading, the questioner asks a specific question and thereby supplies at least half the information! In a personal reading, the parties are identified and sometimes a time frame is too. Here, in a group reading we cannot do that and so we get a variety of sentences.
Horoscopes are group readings, too. Astrology is based on someone else’s birth data, though, so a ‘solar’ group horoscope never really solidly applies to you! (Astrologers want you to know this!)
Tarot, on the other hand, is perfectly capable of flexibly addressing any group, including all of the visitors that come to this site. It can also address people you might not even know personally, such as all the people at your job who have a say in whether or not you get a raise.

11/11 Q. How does my daughter’s father see her?
    A. 7 of wands, 6 of wands.

Another self explanatory answer. Sometimes the cards explain things up better than words.

I read this one earlier yesterday (Thurs) and thought it’s not really applying to me today. Then I had dinner with a friend and boy does this apply to her situation! That crazy dude is trying to sabotage her. She’s taking the right approach, declaring in the universe that he has no real power. So I shared this reading with her and she agrees. When I read this again, today (Fri) I noticed this line: “(Look for what we describe here to be happening to someone around you instead of directly to you. I just have that impression.)” How awesome is that! Thanks Emily for doing these ever day!

Could be about work. A character there that I don’t trust for good reason.
I’ll be aware yet appear relaxed at work. Thanks.

    • Jules

Also.. reminds me of our phone reading yesterday. “Don’t let people get to you”.

    • Another person called me to say this refers to her work situation. It was so abrupt and so specific, breaking with the theme it was so solidly on for so long, that I paid more attention to it than usual.

This material reminds me of my father’s advice ‘Always appear dumber than you actually are, so that people will not be as careful when they lie to you.’

Tomorrow’s is much briefer than the longish posts we have had recently. It is about everyday stuff.

What a timely reading. Estranged husband circled around this week looking for a bigger allowance. Still holding out for that $100k per year job. After 6 years of unemployment maybe it’s time he adjusted his expectations . . . what do you think?

    • Estranged husband’s ALLOWANCE? What? What has he done for you lately … or at all? Unemployed? Hmmm, if you’re going to pay him, can he mow, cook, scrub toilets, chauffeur you?
I think you should spend that on readings instead ….

      • Candy

Yes… Spend some of that green on readings!!! Will do more for you than a mooch…

Well todays readings seam to go with my week.. I go from bad to worse.. Im all upset over a guy just cuz i cant figure out what his deal is… Friday things were fine .. come Saturday Sunday wont have anything to do with me and has refused to speak to me.. ???

        • Hmmmm, Candy, methinks you should take your own advice and analyze the situation. Perhaps God means him only as a boytoy?
