Tarot Readings for You for May 19 2013 Sunday(c)

May 18, 2013 by

Guidance     Our message refers to changing course, especially changing course as to right and wrong. We can run off the road unintentionally whether the road is a physical one or a philosophical or moral one. We can change our ways deliberately any time, and so can the people we are dealing with, and that goes either way for either side, or for any of the sides. If life is traffic, watch out for those sudden left turns, and be ready to make a sudden turn yourself to avoid oncoming.

Instructions:

Are YOU here for the first time? People love this place!

Here’s what’s going on. See the pictures? Those are the four Rider Waite Tarot cards that make today’s messages (group messages) for you (and the people around you).

The site is divided into four sections. The first is a summary, an overview. That’s Guidance (above).

The second is the actual one-sentence group readings, Group Analytical Tarot Readings. If you have come just for your day’s trends, you can go now. You pick out the ones you intuitively relate to, and decide whether to seek or avoid that. People relate to these! See their comments, at the very bottom. We would *love* to hear from you. Don’t be shy!

.Answers don’t have a question (or a questioner) to frame them, so, yes, they can be contradictory – especially when one of the cards means ‘not’ or other negative word. The negative can apply to any of the other cards. And many of the pronouns are flexible. Feel free to substitute

The third section, Learn Tarot by Observation, is the reasoning that makes those four cards say the things you just read in the sentences. It’s what an expert would be thinking.

The last section, Learn Tarot by Pictures, is the individual meanings of each card, based mostly on its picture, which you are looking at. Read this frequently, and you remember what some of the cards mean.

Tarot Readings: On Your Way to Success (Knight of Wands and Ace of Pentacles)

Success with what would have been a problem is giving you a tailwind instead.

Successfully get the one(s) who are a problem out of here, and be on (our) way.

You get on the right track by running away from those problems.

Pursuing your own destruction, there’s immediate success.

Pursuing sex, you quit when you succeed.

On the right track and making up for lost time now that I got the problem out of my life.

I’m getting ahead now that I have eliminated the obstacle to getting there.

That bastard is on the fast track to instant success.

Tarot Readings: Getting Over A Bad Thing, Getting Out (Devil and Eight of Cups or Knight of Wands)

Now that the worst is over, we can get on with the best.

Going in such a hurry in the wrong direction, I turn off and immediately go in the right direction.

Nothing gets you on the right course faster than abandoning the wrong one.

Pursue the right ways and eschew the wrong ones.

Striving for perfection avoids some bad mistakes.

You are given something that gets you over your depression in a hurry.

Gets out of trouble by going straight in a gung-ho way.

He was so sick, he puts all his energy into going out of his way to be well.

I will not make that costly mistake again; I am way past that one!

Quit those evil ways and go straight!

Rapid deterioration is halted successfully.

Tarot Readings: (Physical) Road, Just Leave, Quits (Eight of Cups and Ace of Pentacles)

Runs off the road at a dangerous or deadly speed.

Someone is injured on a run (or in a race) and drops out before arriving.

A road that is sudden death for speeders.

Pursue the criminal until he leaves and you win.

You are obliged to quit once he runs on down the road.

It’s best to just walk away when things suddenly get ugly.

Miscellaneous Tarot Readings

Pursues vice and drops out of a rewarding life.

Huge problems since he left: no money.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Here we have the plot to just about every drama you have read, watched or experienced. We have the wrong way, the Devil, even; we have the right way (Ace of Pentacles) which also means ‘rewarding’; we have to pursue or to run away from (Knight of Wands); we have to abandon, change course abruptly, quit or drop out (Eight of Cups). Right now, with these elements, you could write a story … yes?

Both Knight of Wands and Eight of Cups have the flavor of ‘suddenly, quickly, immediately,’ and both are on a road or course. This has birthed a few artful turns of phrases in our sentences. They tend to mean the same thing at times when applied. Both are getting out fast, for instance.

Devil is the only card today that does NOT refer to a road. It has many meanings – may even be the card with the most single meanings in Tarot Verbatim(TM). It mainly means a problem, but also has contributed ‘obliged’ and ‘ugly.’ It means dangerous or deadly; it means criminal. You can scan the sentences and pick out his.

Then there’s Ace of Pentacles, whose main meaning involves road or path, and who also means the right – the right anything. It is ‘rewarding’ and ‘rewarding path,’ and means money and success, as you probably know by now if you hang around here even a little.

Our message refers to changing course, especially changing course as to right and wrong. We can run off the road unintentionally whether the road is a physical one or a philosophical or moral one. We can change our ways deliberately any time, and so can the people we are dealing with, and that goes either way for either side, or for any of the sides. If life is traffic, watch out for those sudden left turns, and be ready to make a sudden turn yourself to avoid oncoming.

.

Knight of Wands He hurries, as you can see, and from this illustration is more likely to be fleeing than pursuing, but when you apply this card you find it can go either way; you look to the surrounding cards. Is there one that shows leaving? Then that’s the one – barring a ‘whatever.’ He is making fast progress, speeding, putting all his energy into (whatever), and leaving something behind (getting out of Dodge, as we say).

Devil Well, just look at him. You know a lot of what he means, you have met him a few times yourself. He can simply mean obligation, no choice or ‘forced,’ obstacle, sex, physical (rarely), attached/attachment, and mistake. But the ugly meanings are many and varied: destruction, bastard, worst, depression, trouble, sick, evil, deterioration, dangerous or deadly, injury, death, criminal, and – of course! – vice. The point of the illustration is the loose chains around the naked couple’s necks: Their attachment is voluntary.

Eight of Cups A coulda-woulda-shoulda kind of card is Eight of Cups. You see him making a change of course because the terrain forces it. There’s a presumption he will resume course once he gets a chance, so we mean things like deflected and things like resume, a lot. Here are some of its more subtle applications from today’s readings: what would have been is instead; get the one(s) out of here, and be on our way; get on the __ track by going away from; immediate; got __ out of my life; eliminated; instant; now that that is over, we get on with; turn off immediately and go in the other direction; abandon course; eschew, gets you over (it) in a hurry; gets out of _ by going; going out of his way; way past that one; is halted; until he leaves; quit once he is down the road.

Ace of Pentacles The answer is ‘yes.’ when this Tarot person appears in a yes-or-no question. It means success and money and being on the right track or path, and just being right generally. It is also money in hand, whether being paid or received. The picture says goodness is rewarded, rewarded financially even: The hand with the gold over the straight and narrow golden path that begins with lilies of purity and ends with rose trellis of victory.

EXPLANATIONS: SKIP THIS (AND THE TAGS) TO GO TO COMMENTS, BELOW. (Use the arrow on the right lower screen.)

Each and every ‘Tarot Reading’ sentence you see is a literal interpretation of the four Rider Waite Tarot cards drawn and pictured for today. (The literal interpretation is from the illustration on each card.) These sentences are put together by only combining the phrases of what each cards says. In other words, there are NO “filler” phrases added just to make full sentences, and no psychic ability or spirit guide is ever involved.

Now in an ‘real’ individual reading, the questioner asks a specific question and thereby supplies at least half the information! In a personal reading, the parties are identified and sometimes a time frame is too. Here, in a group reading we cannot do that and so we get a variety of sentences.
Horoscopes are group readings, too. Astrology is based on someone else’s birth data, though, so a ‘solar’ group horoscope never really solidly applies to you! (Astrologers want you to know this!)
Tarot, on the other hand, is perfectly capable of flexibly addressing any group, including all of the visitors that come to this site. It can also address people you might not even know personally, such as all the people at your job who have a say in whether or not you get a raise.

    • You are very welcome, and thank you for your gratitude, and for expressing the use you make of my work here. It is scary sometimes, isn’t it – Tarot is fairly blunt about some things, it is so realistic. But notice it has yet to say anything is hopeless. You usually get a map out of the woods.

Yes, today’s is late. I just could not get it together this Sunday. Should have gone on a drunk, if you know what I mean. But I pulled through, and here it is – another happy one.

Yeah, you are right.Hope today I’ll get to read them before time….:),bcz really getting used to read them before the last one…:D,waiting…Thanks Emily

        • It takes five hours sometimes to do these. When I am not ahead, the fellow who puts the card pictures on doesn’t put them on the minute I post them.

We work with what we have. The house fire destroyed the notes I used to make these blogs; I have to think of more fresh each time now, so it is slower.

I can relate to this one too. I feel like I am stuck while trying to get out of dodge. There’s been so many road blocks but tryin to stay optimistic

    • Been there. Other people I know have been where you are too. It seems like destiny has its hands around your throat.

Sometimes, you are ‘supposed to’ end up in some place, and until the timing for that is cleared, you will stall in the waiting room of events. I had quite a few months of this, maybe six, before I ended up in the inbred wilderness town in the West.

Will write a book about same town.
