Tarot Readings for You for May 8, 2013 Wednesday(c)

May 7, 2013 by

Guidance      Old friends in good times and in poor times is our story today. Sharing what we do have with our friends, as they share with us in hard times is one story. Another story talks about how my good times and my bad times get along together in my head and heart.

Instructions:

Are YOU here for the first time? People love this place!

Here’s what’s going on. See the pictures? Those are the four Rider Waite Tarot cards that make today’s messages (group messages) for you (and the people around you).

The site is divided into four sections. The first is a summary, an overview. That’s Guidance (above).

The second is the actual one-sentence group readings, Group Analytical Tarot Readings. If you have come just for your day’s trends, you can go now. You pick out the ones you intuitively relate to, and decide whether to seek or avoid that. People relate to these! See their comments, at the very bottom. We would *love* to hear from you. Don’t be shy!

.Answers don’t have a question (or a questioner) to frame them, so, yes, they can be contradictory – especially when one of the cards means ‘not’ or other negative word. The negative can apply to any of the other cards. And many of the pronouns are flexible. Feel free to substitute

The third section, Learn Tarot by Observation, is the reasoning that makes those four cards say the things you just read in the sentences. It’s what an expert would be thinking.

The last section, Learn Tarot by Pictures, is the individual meanings of each card, based mostly on its picture, which you are looking at. Read this frequently, and you remember what some of the cards mean.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Three of Cups and Six of Cups are friends. Three of Cups is sharing with friends and Six of Cups is giving to a friend. Six of Cups is a lead card for romance, and Three of Cups is about dating, partying, celebrating and sharing the good times, the moment. They both are sweet in mood.

Then our other two Rider Waite tablemates contrast rich and poor. Poor: Five of Pentacles shows bums on the freezing street shoeless and shivering – an obvious and easy-to-apply card. Rich: Three of Wands is money coming in, ‘your ship coming in,’ as the illustration depicts. It means the future or continuing action.

So Three of Wands refers to future (Your ship will come in.) and Six of Cups refers to the past – nostalgia, childhood, old times.

Five of Pentacles means homeless, and can be about a decrepit house, whereas Six of Cups is close friends and an old house, especially a cozy or quaint old house. The two together can be a darling old house that is decrepit.

Five of Pentacles shows bums on the freezing street, wounded, shoeless and shivering – an obvious and easy-to-apply card. Miserable, poor, in need, doing without, homeless, sick, refugees, deprived, poverty, ghetto, desperate, hard times, needing more money, a miserable place, the loss of everything, bankruptcy. It’s the Dark Night of the Soul card too, which has a spiritual meaning for mystics and for the Catholic culture. The victims are passing a church by where a warm place to sleep and food would be provided them, but they have numbed out to hope, so they don’t see it.

Three of Cups Three gals raise their glasses in a happy toast to the profit of their labors and their investment – a harvest of pumpkins. Three of Cups is sharing with friends, being a friend, joining in – including pooling money and resources to share a profit. Three of Cups is about dating, partying, celebrating and sharing the good times, the moment. This card is sweet in mood.

Six of Cups Six of Cups is tender love or tender friendship. The artwork is pastel with curved lines as the little boy gives the little girl flowers in front of an old building of an estate or apartments. Giving is one of its focuses, and so is childhood, old times, romance, the past, friendship, nostalgia, the good old days, sentimentality. It is also about a cottage, a quaint or cozy (old) house. The house you grew up in, mayhap.

Three of Wands Three of Wands is money coming in, ‘your ship coming in,’ as the illustration depicts. It means the future or continuing action. It looks forward to, and it is waiting. That’s about it – especially for what we use of it today.

EXPLANATIONS: SKIP THIS (AND THE TAGS) TO GO TO COMMENTS, BELOW. (Use the arrow on the right lower screen.)

Each and every ‘Tarot Reading’ sentence you see is a literal interpretation of the four Rider Waite Tarot cards drawn and pictured for today. (The literal interpretation is from the illustration on each card.) These sentences are put together by only combining the phrases of what each cards says. In other words, there are NO “filler” phrases added just to make full sentences, and no psychic ability or spirit guide is ever involved.

Now in an ‘real’ individual reading, the questioner asks a specific question and thereby supplies at least half the information! In a personal reading, the parties are identified and sometimes a time frame is too. Here, in a group reading we cannot do that and so we get a variety of sentences.
Horoscopes are group readings, too. Astrology is based on someone else’s birth data, though, so a ‘solar’ group horoscope never really solidly applies to you! (Astrologers want you to know this!)
Tarot, on the other hand, is perfectly capable of flexibly addressing any group, including all of the visitors that come to this site. It can also address people you might not even know personally, such as all the people at your job who have a say in whether or not you get a raise.
