Tarot Readings for You for February 23, 2014 Sunday©

Feb 22, 2014 by

Guidance      You don’t have to pay attention.  It’s your attention, not theirs, until you voluntarily give it.  To pay is voluntary.  Even if it is Lover Boy or Lover Girl, you don’t owe undivided attention just because a stimulus is in front of you.  Some stimuli we should sleep through, you know?  A ringing phone goes unanswered: That is an answer!  Inner peace is a useful tool to disconnect yourself and be ‘elsewhere’ when the doorbell rings and it’s the neighbor’s kids again, or when Lover gets on the soapbox.  Sometimes inside is the place to be … as you let it be.  To disengage, to push the clutch in and separate the vehicle from the engine that drives it.

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in!

People love this place! Our site is divided into four sections: Guidance, Tarot Readings, Learn Tarot by Observation, and Learn Tarot by Pictures.
If you just want your daily look ahead, Guidance and Tarot Readings are all you need. ‘Guidance’ (above) is a summary of what the cards are telling visitors to be aware of this day.

‘Group Tarot Cards Reading’ (just below this) is the actual word-for-word messages from the pictures of the four cards you see – to everyone. These readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. So, go ahead and pick the sentences you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them for yourself.

Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow. The family of commenters here would love for you to join in (the very last thing, at the bottom).

Tarot Readings: Remaining with the One you Love (Lovers and Four of Swords)

I can’t resist staying: I love you.

Can’t fight it; I’m still in love.

We are still together; I don’t listen when Sweetheart gets on the soapbox.

I’m not pushy, I just let our love relationship be.

I won’t defend my position, so I just don’t do anything … that’s love.

Not getting in your face about it, just putting up with you, Lover.

You are together, so let it be; don’t press the point.

Being lackadaisical, you don’t put your partner under pressure.

Let’s just get our rest together and not push ourselves.

Tarot Readings: Being, and Not Being, Connected (Four of Cups and Lovers)

I am still connected in spite of all attempts to dislodge me.

Meditate on shutting out external pressures to stay connected to God.

Still forcing myself to not contact him/her.

I didn’t make partner but am not about to push it.

Saying ‘no’ to pushy people by just not responding.

Resisting pressure by keeping in touch with my inner inner peace.

Refusing to listen to the bill collector and not doing anything to get in touch.

So tired to be around that attention-getter; it’s such a turnoff.

Tarot Readings: When You’re In Love with a Pest (Seven of Wands and Lovers)

Am giving it a rest as lover refuses to have anything to do with me, and then beats my door down.

Still do not respond as lover accuses and defends so vigorously.

Am passively resisting an in-my-face drama-queen kind of lover.

So used to you raising hell that I don’t hear it even when you’re standing there next to me.

I sleep through (his) irate contacts: Not listening!

Insist you love me but you don’t do anything: What a turnoff!

Doesn’t want to be with this person but is still there due to pressure.

Now,  Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the messages.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the four cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.

Four of Swords

Seven of Wands – Four of Cups – Lovers

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Seven of Wands and Four of Cups and Four of Swords Three of four of our panelist cards ‘are not having any of it.’

Seven of Wands protests, insists, raises hell, makes a scene – is pushy or being pushed around.

Four of Cups is refusing (over and over) to have anything to do with something.

Four of Swords is disengaged, not responding, turned off and tuned out, or is asleep. He can be meditating too, because of the story behind the card about having the vision of his life purpose as a knight.

The other Rider Waite Tarot card, Lovers, is about connecting, contacting, being partners, being together. It can mean a connection to God, angels, or higher-ups.

Obviously we are talking about making and resisting connections. The main stories are about (1) resisting an in-your-face drama-queen kind of lover by passive resistance, by just not responding (2) resisting pressures and pushy people by connecting to a resting place within, inner peace. Once again, Tarot makes the point that love adheres to the same patterns as the rest of life. Another story we tell is hanging in there, filtering out another party’s resistance.

Four of Cups and Four of Swords both mean ‘don’t’ and ‘not doing.’ Four of Cups is overtly refusing and Four of Swords is sleeping on it, not responding.

Lovers and Four of Swords have some phrases in common despite also meaning some opposite things to those. Four of Swords is ‘still there.’ Lovers is connected, is ‘with you.’

Seven of Wands Neighbors unexpectedly invade his space and he defends himself against the odds (and wins). Look at this card; look at him. What this represents in most people’s spreads is the adolescent tirade, the ‘Gimme the car keys and I ain’t fillin’ the tank’ philosophy more and more Americans have. This temper is most characteristic of two-year-olds, adolescents, male mammals who want to be dominant and aren’t, and people who are mad as hell and won’t put up with it anymore.

Four of Cups refuses and rejects every time the choice is offered. Huh-hunh; won’t eat that. Resists temptation. What part of ‘no’ don’t you understand? Sometimes it simply is expressed by negative contractions: don’t, won’t, isn’t going to …. Resisting, and not hearing are today’s chief interpretations for Four of Cups.

Lovers Love partners is just the beginning of this Rider Waite Tarot card’s meanings; it is cluttered with them. Any kind of connection or contact, any kind of oversight (like the way we refer to the ‘higher-ups’ at work), protection including divine and angelic protection, standing next to (anyone or anything), connecting to God. Pictured is the Adam and Eve saga.

Four of Swords Sometimes you just tune out, turn off, take a nap, endure it without response, choose to be passive. Four of Swords is also meditation because depicted is the part of knighthood ceremony that is a vision quest: The candidate overnights in a cathedral lying on the sarcophagus of a great hero or saint and reports his vision to the bishop.

I really felt like this was about my daughter and I. You know she hasn’t spoken or seen me in two years, but she still reaches out to “rub it in” and engage in trying to shame, humiliate, and slander me through both my family and my Ex’s. Most of the time I ignore it and she stops for a while, but she flared up again last week, and I did feel myself getting upset all over again (which is her intention). THis reading reminded me that the attention I give it is a choice and I can choose not to engage or get dragged back in. People experience toxic relationships but you never expect it will be with your own offspring. It happens.

    • My perspective is that mother-daughter enmity is a mammal instinct thing. Experience demonstrates this, to me. You sweat this out like it’s the trauma it feels like to you, but, from a Mother Nature point of view, it’s the way it is. Yeah, being relaxed about this schism with offspring is a tall order, but maybe this is an Aha! moment in the making.

  2. Anna

Yeah, he’s refusing to date me so time to move my attention to someone else

    • Women who move the fastest get the best men. A gal who worked for me in my court reporting office was a sexual pioneer that way, very curious about ‘what it would be like’ and then she told all to her officemates without inhibition there either.
She married the most eligible bachelor, the most promising young (handsome, yes) lawyer in the big town. And had two kids before she moved on to alimony and generous child support.
Moral of the story, as I see it: It doesn’t pay to be a ‘good girl.’ Unfortunately(?), we seem to be born with, or without, that promiscuity proclivity.
Yes, moving to another hole when the fish aren’t biting is the way to have the best catch.

  3. HELLO. Have spent MORE hours having the same issues (security) repaired on computer by re-installing over and over, twice a day even. Is this why my tailfeathers are dragging too? Sorry for the blog being late, but I think it’s a miracle I persevered and got ‘er done.

resonates with your subconscious awareness! – is especially good today. Those of you who skip over it (which you are welcome to do – of course – might want to dip a toe in today. Serendipity galore!

While I am here, I want to say it’s no accident this site is set up so people who want to read their daily guide, as well as people who are interested in the nuts and bolts of Tarot, can easily accomplish their purpose. And so that the people who are not that interested in the nuts and bolts can take a peek under the hood now and then.

Share this goody with your buddies. I find the Six Two-Card Phrases section increases my access to the subconscious, and I’m the author of it. This is very cool.

    • Nicole

The two card combos are my favorite. They really break down the messages, especially with the double or triple negatives. What if you get three good cards and one negator? For instance two of swords, wheel of fortune, ace of cups and ace of pentacles. Does the two of swords apply to them all or do the good cards outweigh it?

      • I can see your point, Nicole. The two-card combinations allow you to apply and connect unrestrained by the sentences. (Some of these spreads could make fifty sentences, and I aim for twenty, no more than thirty. Thirty takes forever to do those two-card ones. They also release your subconscious processes, it seems to me.

Thank you for explaining. Those are a tremendous amount of work.

In your spread Wheel of Fortune is happening for the best, some wonderful event, and can simply translate ‘wonderful,’ ‘miraculous’ and so on.
Ace of Cups is true love, cooperation , letting it flow, health, and things sacred.
Ace of Pentacles is the best, money, success, perfect, the right way possessing or ‘mine,’ among a few other things.
Wheel of Fortune and Ace of Pentacles both mean ‘the best. They both are money too.

In the company of such positive others, Two of Swords negative meanings go dormant. In this spread it is most likely to mean things like ‘won’t let myself.’
With Ace of Pentacles meaning ‘perfect’, these could say ‘It’s not perfect but true love is happening.’ It could also say ‘You have tru love in the best possible way but aren’t rich.’ Or, conversely, ‘You are looking at tremendous luck with money so forget about love.’
Ace of Cups is easy, and Ace of Pentacles is money, so you get ‘easy money’ there. ‘You get a windfall but it’s not easy money.’

Each card, negative ones included, can modify any other card. Once in a while an individual card will appear twice in a sentence, counting doubly.

Tomorrow’s spread has a lot of contradictory cards, and it is a study in that if you want to poke there. Six of Swords is leaving, and Eight of Cups can abort the leaving, making ‘avoid leaving,’ for instance.
Cards that have similar meanings which must each be included in the sentence in Tarot Verbatim call for some study sometimes.

Two negatives can make a positive just as they do in language. We are, after all, language-based. Would you rather be dead or not dead? – not dead is two negatives.

Many ‘bad’ cards have harmless meanings. Even Devil can mean, for instance, the documents have attachments.
