Tarot Readings for You for September 12, 2014 Friday(c)

Sep 11, 2014 by

Guidance      Who am I? How many identities, how many memberships and sympathies are in the sphere of my self? Potentially, every one of these attachments has a cost and a benefit that is not apparent from within the you-sphere. You join and you belong: The costs and benefits are not apparent after you belong because they appear as another blip of Self on the screen of your feeling and thinking. Removing identities is a chore like removing a tick. Mostly, we don’t contemplate that chore. However, a few people are not joiners, and do not belong. They flit about much freer than we. We call them loners sometimes. We tell life stories of these two types today. Non-joiners are free as the rest of us are not, and we envy them, but they pay a price for not being a member. They tell me it’s worth it not to pay the dues, and the membership discount isn’t what it’s cracked up to be.

Tarot Readings: Uneasy in My Own Skin (Page of Wands and Nine of Wands)

I’ve got this creepy feeling I’m somebody I don’t know!

I am defending a reputation I don’t even have!

He doesn’t know where he stands, but he stands there.

You don’t know who you are, but you are being persecuted for who you are.

I’m nobody, you go stand for something.

A voice from my subconscious is putting me on the spot.

I am touchy about being young and good-looking.

Acts like it doesn’t get to her, but is self-conscious about her appearance.

……….…………

Tarot Readings: Talk Makes People Nervous (Page of Wands and Nine of Wands)

Under pressure to talk about something I know nothing about.

Being outspoken and taking a position is the last thing on my mind.

For no particular reason, I’m nervous when I make a speech.

What, ME worry about what they say?

I don’t know why our lighthearted banter makes people nervous.

In defense of Freedom of Speech.

Have an open mind as you anxiously await word.

I am not the person who said what I am accused of.

When I’m under pressure, I will say just about anything.

When he doesn’t talk to me, I feel very antsy.

Free speech is a can of worms.

……….…………

Tarot Readings: Don’t Defend (Nine of Wands and Fool)

I just don’t defend my positions at all.

You’re the one talking without thinking, and I’m the one defending your right to.

They talk about your freedom, and you end up wounded in battle.

You open your big mouth and say God-knows-what, then feel like you have to defend it.

No way are you making me defensive about something I said.

Feeling sheepish about some lighthearted casual remark I made.

Now, Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined three pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here.  It explains how these three cards get together in your mind to make the messages. HERE ARE PHRASES FOR ALL THREE 2-CARD COMBINATIONS is a stream-of-consciousness bridge to your subconscious if you use it regularly – people report.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the three cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.

Page of Wands – Nine of Wands – Fool

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

……………….……………………      Nine of Wands has already paid the consequence, a head wound, from defending a position. Page of Wands announces his position and stands by it. Fool doesn’t believe in position, doesn’t have one: Fool is as free as Nine of Wands is tied down. The three of them are in the same story here, so stay tuned for their next exciting episode.

………………………..   Here is Page of Wands, the earnest fresh-faced young well-intentioned fellow who speaks up and speaks well, who dresses the part, who identifies himself as a member or believer in some particular thing, who is a type of person. He is often the young good-looking man, the foppish flirt, the naif. Here is Prince Charming and ‘every mother’s favorite son.’

………………………. Nine of Wands hangs in there in the defense of something or someone. He is guarding a border and dreading the return of the enemy that gave him a head wound which isn’t even healed. Nine of Wands is tied down fearfully defending some Maginot Line in the sand. Nine of Wands is feelings of tension, apprehension, nervousness, fear. By extension, Nine of Wands covers self-consciousness, feeling guilty, being accused, being put on the spot. He ‘puts his money where his mouth is,’ – he risks his life in defense of what he believes in … a hero, perchance. This is the card for a wounded veteran, is one of the cards for a soldier.

……………………….. Fool has no such problems. He doesn’t believe, and he has no position to defend. He is not tied to a border, he is only passing through. Fool is free of identifying with anything as much as Page of Wands earnestly identifies himself. Fool is nobody, is free of attachments. He is associated with youth as Page of Wands is. Fool is oblivious to Other People’s Realities, and tends to translate ‘don’t care,’ and ‘don’t know.’ This freedom from any particular identity is found among great saints and psychopaths – found at the place the bell curve’s two ends meet behind its back. Most people resent Fools.

……….…………..     Page of Wands and Nine of Wands   Both Page of Wands and Nine of Wands are standing for something. Page of Wands emphasizes verbally and personally taking a stand about what the individual stands for or believes in. Nine of Wands emphasizes risking personally safety in defense. Nine of Wands, it may not be personal. But Nine of Wands often involves an accusation. Nine of Wands also is about fear, nervousness, tension, anxiety, or even a feeling – like being self-conscious, or creeped out.

……….…………..     Page of Wands and Fool  Page of Wands and Fool are strange bedfellows. They say “I don’t know who I am” or “That’s not who I am” or “I am not the one who.” They say “I am nobody.” They say “I don’t know what I’m talking about.” They say ‘The voice of the subconscious.’ They even say both ‘young and good-looking.’ They also say ‘free speech’ or ‘freedom of speech.’ I could go on with other odd sentiments like “I don’t care that I’m good-looking.”

…….…………….…     Nine of Wands and Fool   Nine of Wands and Fool say ‘What, ME worry.’ They get together in very nondescript miscellaneous ways. They describe not knowing what, or why, you are defending something – or are being accused or picked on for something. Taking a stand is the last thing on their mind. My subconscious is putting me on the spot. Being nervous or under pressure for no good reason. Nine of Wands and Fool are sort of a drive-by shooting.

To the extent you have, or choose, an identity, you defend it without even thinking. To the extent you do not identify yourself, you are free of speaking for, supporting and defending positions and parties. We are not fully aware of the pressures of belonging because once we have been formed into the group mold we feel that it’s us, not the group, because we identify ourselves with that family, belief system, community, trait … or whatever. An independent person does not have the pressure to conform, and also does not have the support of the tribe-mind. Today we present some life situations that involve these processes.

Page of Wands  ………  Here’s the good guy, Prince Charming, maybe the frat boy – that nice-looking, mannerly, well-dressed, well-spoken young man ready to step into adult life, fit in. Page of Wands involves identity, type of person, what a person stands for – it can even mean ‘name.’ Page of Wands believes; he identifies himself as a member of a class.

.

Nine of Wands ………….  hangs in there under pressure and defends his position. Guarding is obviously one of his chapters: He is the border guard. He can be the accused, with all the angst that goes with that. This card can simply be the feeling of tension, apprehension or fear, nervousness, hanging in there, holding your ground against opposition, even having enemies who have already done you harm and are still out to get you.

.

Fool ………. If you don’t belong, you don’t pay dues. Fool is ‘out there,’ is the subconscious, and is living the spiritual life with its freedom from attachment. He could also just not ‘get it’ about ‘what life is all about’ and be a drifter. He isn’t going to commit, in this state of mind. He is nobody, he has no position to defend, ‘no pony in the race,’ as they say. As a free spirit, he tends to be young, lighthearted and casual, and to not have problems, partly because he would not acknowledge one.
