Tarot Readings for You for December 22, 2014 Monday©

Dec 21, 2014 by

GUIDANCE     Something terrible that was to have happened is averted. Losing can be a gain (and not just losing weight, either). What we have here is a followup to yesterday’s story about the meeting with the surprise that was for the better. ‘Ding-dong the wicked witch is dead’ and ‘It’s darkest before sunrise’ are flagships from today’s readings. We talk about relief being a thrill, like when you quit hammering your head. There’s a tad about ‘gonna do it anyway because it’s fun’ too. But we are about survivors’ joy, mostly.

.

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in!

People love this place! Our site is divided into four sections: Guidance, Tarot Readings, Learn Tarot by Observation, and Learn Tarot by Pictures.
If you just want your daily look ahead, Guidance and Tarot Readings are all you need. ‘Guidance’ (above) is a summary of what the cards are telling visitors to be aware of this day.

‘Group Tarot Cards Reading’ (just below this) is the actual word-for-word messages from the pictures of the three cards you see – to everyone. These readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. So, go ahead and pick the sentences you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them for yourself.

Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow. The family of commenters here would love for you to join in (the very last thing, at the bottom).

Tarot Readings: Ding-dong, the Wicked Witch is Dead (Ten of Swords and Sun)

It’s gonna be, like, ‘Ding-dong, the wicked witch is dead.’

I’m glad they bit the dust; things will be better now.

Losing that little boy-toy is a gain.

‘It don’t hurt no more,’ and that’s all it took to thrill me.

It’s a tragedy, but we will be better off with them out of our hair.

……….…………

Tarot Readings: Survivors Enjoy Life More (Sun and Three of Wands)

I’m out of that humiliating place and happy to be making money.

Am in the process of getting free of some suffering.

Something terrible that was to have happened is averted.

You get out from under being screwed and make money out of it.

Survivors of an ordeal enjoy life more.

A really terrible childhood gives you something to look forward to.

When you fail one thing, be out of there and on to the next.

Going to escape the crash with a profit.

The worst isn’t going to be what will happen.

Am going to leave before it gets insufferable.

……….…………

Tarot Readings: Enjoy the Pain (Ten of Swords and Sun)

It hurt, but I am much happier afterward.

Relief from pain is ahead.

The fun was worth the hurt.

I will enjoy the pain.

I will enjoy even the worst times.

Even if this is going to fail, I enjoy it.

I’ll be happy when (you’re) dead.

Going to be happy despite some bad stuff.

Always so cheerful even when he is down.

A baby is always worth the pain and exhaustion.

……….…………

Tarot Readings: Better Times Ahead (Sun and Three of Wands)

I shall get over feeling sorry for myself.

There are always ups and downs.

When it’s darkest, the sun is coming.

Here’s an income that frees you from what you have been through.

After a heartache, something to hope for makes you happy.

I cheer up when I escape the worst.

……….…………

Tarot Readings: Money and Pain (Ten of Swords and Three of Wands)

There’s money in cheering up suffering souls.

‘Relief from pain’ is a moneymaker.

Losing money and gaining freedom.

……….…………

Tarot Readings: You’ll Be Sorry (Ten of Swords and Three of Wands)

Oh how I’m going to regret this fling.

One fun-loving backstabber coming up.

Doing something reckless I’m going to be sorry for.

It will be such fun while it lasts, and then you crash.

Manic-depressive forever.

The kid will get hurt.

He will get hurt being that reckless.

Now, Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined meanings of the three cards in the pictures in the Tarot Readings.  It explains how these cards get together in your mind to make the messages.

*HERE ARE PHRASES FOR ALL THREE 2-CARD COMBINATIONS is a stream-of-consciousness bridge to your subconscious if you use it regularly – people report.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – than a personal reading would give you. Also, pronouns are flexible: If the sentence feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ but you’re a ‘she,’ well, it’s yours.

Ten of Swords – Sun – Three of Wands

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

……………….……………………   We have agony, joy, and the future. We have both ‘Going to do it and be sorry later’ and ‘So glad the worst did not happen,’ and even ‘Glad they bit the dust for my own sake.’ A tragedy for one group is another group’s party time. I feel fingers crossing as I read these sentences, but I also see a break in the clouds and a happy ray of sunshine coming through the hole.

………………………..    Ten of Swords is what I consider ‘worst card in the deck.’ You always look for a relief or a rescue card when you see Ten of Swords, the fellow who is stabbed in the back ten times and laid out unattended in the mud. Its common meaning is any kind of disaster or humiliation, but it can simply mean self-pity or being ‘shot down’ socially. Today Sun comes to the rescue of the Ten of Swords event. Sun means it’s averted, or you cheer up, or you got out of the restriction somehow.

Rider Waite Tarot is established to have consistently violated the Laws of Random Distribution when the person shuffling had a particular thing in mind, science lectures I heard said. Ten of Swords and other very heavy-potential cards do not cluster when you ask questions. Only time they clustered in a 14-card spread, in 35 years of steady practice, was when my house was going to be burned down and nothing I could do would save it. I knew it was coming, dreamed of it repeatedly just how it would happen, and my attempts to avert it were fruitless. Those spreads said ‘You’re doomed with all lost, but you will survive.’ And it was true. I have always wondered how the distribution would go if a machine shuffled the cards: Nice experiment.

………………………..    Sun is one happy fella. Stands for joy, fun, breaking loose from any sort of restriction, play and vacation and recreation, freedom and childhood or child. Sun is also the callous reckless bratty type person and the playboy. Recklessness is one of the trunks on its meaning tree. What you see is a boy tyke who has escaped from the house naked to play bareback on a pony who hates this and is ready to do something about it. Sun can be about ‘paying the piper’ like that but its emphasis is on the fun phase, not the penalty phase. Here, Ten of Swords is the penalty.

………………………..    Three of Wands points ahead to the future in a hopeful and reassuring way because it means ‘Your ship comes in,’ which is to say money or profit or some looked-forward to event is on its way for sure. The ‘for sure’ is part of Three of Wands’ meaning. I mentally title this card ‘for sure in the future.’ You see a patient well-dressed merchant watching and waiting for his ship to come in with his profit, his cargo, or both. The idea is income or a cash flow, not a one-time thing. Three of Wands means ‘steadily,’ ‘continually’ and things like ‘from now on.’ Would like to have a stained-glass front door with this card’s illustration.

……….…………..    Ten of Swords and Sun Ten of Swords and Sun are quite the contrast, and you see that all over these sentences. Ten of Swords is pain and suffering, losing, being betrayed, a crash, even the death of something or someone, humiliation …. Heck self-pity is its high point! Sun is relief from all that, or being glad about that (enjoying pain, usually someone else’s), having fun or being a fun-loving person. It’s also a child, brat or playboy. Sun is being uninhibited or letting your hair down – but not today. Go to ‘2-Card Combinations’ for the phrases that these two cards make. More of them than you would think. x..

………..…………..   Ten of Swords and Three of Wands    Ten of Swords and Three of Wands say after what you have been through, there’s good things coming, or that suffering is going to be worth it, or going to be rewarded. They also say ‘going to crash,’ but the optimistic bent of Three of Wands requires a stronger negative card to overcome its optimistic prediction – and of course that’s not the case today.

x..

……………………      Sun and Three of Wands    Sun and Three of Wands say: Going to be free, going to be happy, the income that makes you happy, relief is on its way, getting and staying out from under the restrictions. Sun is fun, relief, freedom from restrictions, happy. Ten of Wands is ‘for sure in the future, and continuing. Each of these two mean the future is better: Sun, because we are out from under strictures; Three of Wands because that’s what it intrinsically means.

x.. DING-DONG, THE WICKED WITCH IS DEAD Ding-dong, the wicked witch is dead. I’m glad they bit the dust. Losing that little boy-toy. It don’t hurt no more … to thrill me. It’s a tragedy but they are out of our hair. I’m out of that humiliating place and happy. Getting free of some suffering. Something terrible is averted. You get out from under being screwed. Survivors of an ordeal enjoy life. A really terrible childhood. When you fail one thing, be out of there. Escape the crash. The worst isn’t going to be. Am going to leave … it’s insufferable. ENJOY THE PAIN It hurt but I am much happier. Relief from pain. The fun was _ the hurt. Enjoy the pain. Enjoy even the worst times. If this is going to fail, I enjoy it. Happy when (you’re) dead. Be happy despite some bad stuff. So cheerful even when he is down. A baby … the pain and exhaustion. … get over feeling sorry for myself. Ups and downs. When it’s darkest, the sun …. Darkest before sunrise. … frees you from what you have been through. … a heartache … makes you happy. I cheer up when I _ the worst. Cheering up suffering souls. Relief from pain. Losing _ and _ freedom. Oh how I regret this fling. One fun-loving backstabber. Doing something reckless … sorry for. Such fun, and then you crash. Manic-depressive. The kid gets hurt. … hurt, being that reckless.

The ups and downs are both featured here. Calamity and relief. Pain and freedom from it. Suffering and joy. It’s a relief that, after all you have been through, a guaranteed good future is its culmination. The suffering was worth it, the child is worth the pain of childbirth.

Ten of Swords……… Ten of Swords is one of those Rider Waite Tarot cards that you know the full meaning of the first time you lay eyes on it. Betrayal, loss, victimization, terrible, disappointment, pain and suffering, crash, done in, etc. He lies alone with ten swords pinning him to the ground. Humiliation and self-pity are Ten of Swords’ high points.

.

Sun  ………….     Sun has a plethora of meanings, from this one scene. Today its fun and enjoyment ones are featured, and its reckless ones and callous ones are dampered. The ones we use now are the ones that contrast and cancel out Ten of Swords, and that is because Three of Wands tells you this story is heading to a good future. (Read that again if you are here to learn Tarot.) Here are examples of those choices: glad, thrill, out of our hair, survivor, enjoy life, be out of there and on to, escape, leave, much happier, relief, fun-loving, enjoy, be happy, so cheerful, shall get over, ups, sun is coming, frees you, cheer up when I escape, freedom, fling, fun-loving, manic, survivor, averted.

The story in the illustration is a kid who sneaks out from under supervision in the house to ride a pony bareback, a pony who is clearly not amused.

.

Three of Wands …………. Three of Wands is simple: You see him waiting for his ship to come in, and we all use that phrase and know what it means. Three of Wands is one of the cards that means future and creates future tense in your spread. It means phrases like ‘from now on’ and ‘continuing’ or ‘steadily,’ and it refers to income or any kind of cash flow. It mainly indicates that good things are ahead, that the future is going to be all right.

I do not want a fun-loving backstabber. But yes, a horrible childhood does make the rest of life seem sunny :). This has happened many times, and is probably happening now. Things have come up that forced me to look at these things squarely. It helped to clear it out of my system. Now that I’m a grown up, I wouldn’t change a thing, actually.

    Thanks.

    • Good post, there. Good perspective.
