Tarot Readings for You for August 27, 2015 Thursday©

GUIDANCE ‘If it’s not all right, it’s all wrong’ one camp says. Another camp says ‘If it’s not all wrong, it’s all right.’ Fair means or foul, as we say. There comes a time for a person who is ‘on the path’ to be cutthroat. And there comes a time for every smooth operator to do that right thing he has been dodging.

Ace of Pentacles – Four of Cups – Seven of Swords

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING and

             LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

.. …….……      …...……..……. Ace of Pentacles is on the right path, being right, doing the right thing, and making a profit, being successful. All by itself, Ace of Pentacles says people who are straight make the money and have the success. You can see the ‘straight and narrow’ there in the picture … and the path is the same color as the pile of gold in the disembodied hand.

Seven of Swords is the polar opposite of Ace of Pentacles. Here we see the fellow who has stolen the enemy’s weapons sneaking out of camp in broad daylight.

…..…… ….. So Ace of Pentacles with Seven of Swords contrasts ‘fair or foul,’ straight or crooked, give and take, the safe way or the risky way. Together they say ‘money at risk’ or ‘take a chance with your money.’ A high-risk investment.

So what’s our other card? In the middle of these two is Four of Cups refusing every time it’s offered, or something that doesn’t go through. Four of Cups is famous for refusing temptation, by the way.

Note that Four of Cups operates as a negator card sometimes, so it can produce contradictory sentences, especially today when it can apply either to doing right or doing wrong. In your spreads, it pays to pay special attention to these negative modifiers: Which card’s action is being blocked or canceled out? Here (1) is not doing right, and (2) is doing right, not _. Watch for these potholes in your Tarot street.

You put all the cards in your spread together to get the message. Putting all these together, we are saying that it’s not really all one way. We are saying that there comes a time for a crook to go straight, just as there comes a time for a saint to get crooked (or cutthroat).

.

.

GET A SINGLE CARD’S MEANINGS: TYPE ITS NAME AND ‘TAROT VERBATIM’ INTO GOOGLE.

Ace of Pentacles………. Ace of Pentacles is the right path, the right way, money, profit and success. It equates success with ‘right.’ The hand with the gold is over the golden path with the lilies in front and the roses at its end.

Four of Cups……….. Four of Cups too has a disembodied hand offering something. Today it offers temptation because Seven of Swords is up to something and Ace of Pentacles is on the straight and narrow. Refusing temptation is one of Four of Cups’ stances. Refusing anything at all. You can see the crossed arms, even crossed legs, and his head is down.

Four of Cups isn’t – isn’t accepting, isn’t listening, isn’t going to, won’t have anything to do with. Four of Cups says ‘no.’ Nothing goes through, the buck stops here, someone is unreachable, the offer is turned down, the person is turned away.

Seven of Swords………Seven of Swords is on the sneak, is up to something, is a risky mission or a hazard. Seven of Swords is about the thief (stealing enemy weapons, there), the violator of trust, the double-crosser, the criminal, breaking the rules. The focus of Seven of Swords is on the illegal act as easily as the illegal person: the stolen goods or the thief.

Too, Seven of Swords is when you get away with something, when you pull a fast one, when you get even. Because Seven of Swords can be street justice: After all, that’s the enemy’s weapons he steals.

Seven of Swords also focuses on risk and hazard. It’s the hazard or the hazardous material. It’s the hazardous mission or the illegal caper. This is the card for special forces and black ops, all of that skulduggery, but Seven of Swords just as easily is about privately getting even, just as easily is about matters personal.

On a lighter note, Seven of Swords is the card for adventure, for daring and daring to do something, for having the nerve to. We are not about that today, though. Neither are we about self-destruction and self-destructive acts, which also belong to Mr. Seven of Swords.

(Beware Seven of Swords with Ten of Swords: They both are about ‘stabbed in the back.’ And Seven of Swords, as the assassin – which he can be – can make that backstabbing literal.)

.

.

.

.

Into the life of every bend-over-backwards peacelover comes the dagger of ‘I’m not going to take this anymore.’ Into the life of every dedicated blackhearted evildoer comes that moment of gracious self-sacrifice. The Laws of Random Distribution declare this to be so, and there’s no appeal from that kind of law.
