LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

                LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES..

.. …….…… …..…………, It’s obvious to me, now that I have pieced all the meanings together, and maybe obvious to you too? – that we have the capable woman (the matriarch, the manager) in Queen of Pentacles, followed by the happy well-adjusted home where people are getting along, in Ten of Cups, followed by the workplace in Eight of Pentacles. These three suggest that it takes as much skill to run a household as it does to manage a workplace.

.. …….   Queen of Pentacles and Ten of Cups picture the supportive generous head-of-the family and head-of-the-clan lady and the well-oiled household of people who are agreeable and happy together. Since Queen of Pentacles is associated with business, this pair of card is showing a woman who makes good money to support the family; a woman who works at home; a woman who is married and has money of her own; and a woman who can make everybody happy, because Ten of Cups is ‘everybody is happy’ and Queen of Pentacles is the dame who can.

.. …….   Queen of Pentacles and Eight of Pentacles pair that able woman manager with the workplace, and likewise say she is a skilled worker. Eight of Pentacles often adds ‘-ing’ to another card’s meaning and it means to keep at it, so Eight of Pentacles is to keep doing, to habitually do, to routinely or habitually do … anything.

Since Queen of Pentacles has money, handles money, and can be a bookkeeper, Queen of Pentacles and Eight of Pentacles say: she makes good money; she handles the money; she is a professional (which Eight of Pentacles can mean – also shortened to ‘pro’); she is doing the books; she always does.

.…… …..Ten of Cups and Eight of Pentacles are beautiful together. Ten of Cups is happy, and Eight of Pentacles makes that continual. They also are about being happy with one’s job, and about a happy workplace, a workplace where everyone (Ten of Cups) is getting along and being agreeable (again, Ten of Cups). We also have ‘working together.’

Ten of Cups and Eight of Pentacles are working at home, being a professional homemaker or housekeeper, and working together (in any way). They also describe construction work being done on a home, or maintenance being done there.

Then, of course, with Ten of Cups being the happy marriage, these two Tarot cards say ‘working on our marriage.’ They also say ‘working on being happy.’ (And, notice: Queen of Pentacles makes that ‘working on being happy with what I possess already.’

GET A SINGLE CARD’S MEANINGS: TYPE ITS NAME AND ‘TAROT VERBATIM’ INTO GOOGLE.

Queen of Pentacles      Queen of Pentacles is the productive, skilled, capable, generous woman, the one who runs the family and/or the family business. She can. She is able. She is famous for being the caretaker, for caring for her man, supporting him (including financially) and backing him. She is also famous for giving, including giving to causes or charity or people (especially relatives). She is also famous for investing and contributing, including contributing her skill. That expands to ‘input’ and even to ‘advice,’ especially financial advice. You can even call her Earth Mother for all that giving and supporting she does.

Queen of Pentacles is also famous for her loyalty, especially to family and relatives. She can be the passionate possessive matriarch, even the overprotective mother.

She is associated with growth and fertility – the garden area she sits in outdoors, and the bunny, not to mention possessing assets (the coin she holds in her lap).

Ten of Cups      Ten of Cups is a group of people, an agreeable group, and a group of any size as long as they are like-minded or have something in common. It is a family, and a family who dwells together. Ten of Cups also is feeling like family, or a family-style relationship. Come to think of it, Ten of Cups means relationship. It means happy and happily ever after. Ten of Cups is together and togetherness – is being of one mind, united … people like us, the good people.

Ten of Cups means marriage and married – the married state. If you are dating someone and this card (or Four of Wands, the other simple marriage card) shows up, keep in mind that person may be married or living with someone.

Ten of Cups is also about being well-off, living in a nice home, living in a good neighborhood, being a member, being respectable. It means a house, usually a single-family residence as shown in the picture. Ten of Cups is also the good home life. You see a couple with two happy kids prancing around, and their fine home in the background, with a rainbow over it to say ‘All is well here.’

Ten of Cups is one of the cards that produces plural pronouns. It means: us, we, they, them, all of us, and everyone, as well as ‘folks’ and ‘the whole gang’ and other such terms.

Eight of Pentacles    Here is a carpenter at his workbench making one object after another in a rhythmic routine the way carpenters work. This card means each of those phrases. It means work, workers, employment and employee(s), job, labor, busy, the one who does the actual physical hands-on activity, steadily, continual and continually, consistent and consistently, over and over again, one thing after another, repetitive movement. It is the workplace and the work site. Eight of Pentacles is the workingman, and it is working-class. It will translate ‘activity’ too. It will also translate ‘professional’ or ‘pro.’

Eight of Pentacles can translate ‘make’ and ‘making,’ as well as ‘did’ and ‘doing’ when something – and it doesn’t have to be physical objects – is being created … even something like, today, happiness.

Eight of Pentacles refers to ordinary routine daily mundane doings and chores. You will find it saying ‘habitually’ too.

Eight of Pentacles further means persistence and persisting, keeping at it – keeping at anything. As a matter of fact, watch it bring up ‘keep’ with some activity – meaning keep doing, or keeping it up. And watch Eight of Pentacles adding that gerund form, the ‘-ing,’ to the activity described by a nearby card.

Our life … our signature self … is largely made up of the routines we do, the habitual things we say, the persistent thoughts we have. And our profile of people we know is also made up of what they do on a mundane daily basis. These things tend to exist beneath the radar of our watchfulness. ‘But that’s not really ME,’ we can protest, and we can say ‘Hmm, that may not really be him or her, either.’ So the question today is: How much do we know ourselves, and how much do we know other people?
