King of Wands – Six of Pentacles – Two of Wands

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.. ….. …     ..

.

Well, here we have that King of Wands guy, the workingman, the ordinary bloke; and here we have two cards about money: getting paid is Six of Pentacles, and having financial security and being Somebody is Two of Wands. Six of Pentacles is also getting respect, which goes along with Two of Wands the solid citizen, and which specifies King of Wands as a respected worker.

.

.

You tend to stereotype King of Wands as blue-collar, as low class, but the other two cards today break that glass ceiling for him: Two of Wands is bluntly the upper class scene, the scene of money-is-power. See Mr. Two of Wands with the world in his right hand! Six of Pentacles is getting the respect due, and is getting paid or spending money.

.

.

So our story is about a man with an honest good job who is a passionate husband who pays the bills.

.

.

Let’s talk about this King of Wands stereotype, shall we? Because it’s hard to find the right word for this Tarot card fairly often. You tend to get stilted, limited, on this Tarot citizen. Here goes:

King of Wands is famous for his edgy side. He is the … THE … card for ‘husband,’ and words like these belong squarely to King of Wands: uninhibited, impulsive, impatient, frustrated, angry, irritated, country boy or even redneck, red-blooded, hotblooded, hot-headed, hot-natured, the passionate man, marriage material, wild man, madman, the fellow with a temper, the party animal sometimes, the maverick. King of Wands is sure of himself in a defensive way as Archie Bunker was.

King of Wands is a workingman but this Tarot card does not mean ‘job’ although it may come across as ’employee’ regarding his actual function. King of Wands lines up with Eight of Pentacles as a carpenter or other specialist at a specific form of labor. He could be an auto mechanic when he links with Chariot, which is of course a vehicle.

. ….. …  ..

AND NOW WITHOUT THE PICTURES:

LEARN SINGLE TAROT CARDS BY PICTURES.

GET A SINGLE CARD’S MEANINGS: TYPE ITS NAME AND ‘TAROT VERBATIM’ INTO GOOGLE

King of Wands      King of Wands is himself, the guy down the street, the man who does things, has a job, is whatever he was born into, and is opinionated and frustrated to one degree or another. This is the ‘redhead,’ the fellow with a temper. Think Archie Bunker: He is the perfect King of Wands. But don’t think we are limited to working class with our King: He is found in the professions and in the seats of power. This is not the thinking man, nor is he insightful. Some King of Wandses fit the Christian concept of ‘the natural man,’ and King of Wands guys are referred to as ‘the common man’ by pontificating authors.

.

Elsewhere on our site, I have explained how the ‘redhead’-salamander link explains much of the meaning of this Tarot card. Just Google ‘King of Wands Tarot Verbatim’ for that.

.

Six of Pentacles     An employer weighs the coins he pays the workers (because the amount of gold left in coins is their actual value). The scales make Six of Pentacles a support card for a justice theme, especially when fines or payouts or child support is the story – or when simple fairness is the theme. First, Six of Pentacles is any kind of paying or receiving. It’s the price, the fair price, it’s ‘afford’ and ‘affordable,’ etc. Next, this exchange theme expands into giving or getting attention, germs, respect – anything. Think ‘exchange,’ which the picture clearly is.

.

Two of Wands     Elements of Two of Wands’ picture make unrelated themes for this Tarot card. Mr. Mogul owns the town – the real estate below – if not the whole world (in his hand there). He is planning to make even more money from that ownership. He is obviously a VIP, and obviously influential, if not powerful. So he is stable (stability) and a civic leader, and well-off to rich. The fact he is planning makes Two of Wands frequently translate all sorts of future tenses in surrounding cards, and all sorts of words that mean ‘future.’ Two of Wands is also a real estate, mortgage, bank and anything to do with banking, including savings

accounts. Two of Wands, as part of its ‘stability’ theme, also means a sure thing.

.

.

Some jobs are a lot more meaningful than others. We celebrate a man whose hands-on skill is well-paid – an unassuming man who may just be rough around the edges. He is very oriented to the real physical world, and his reality is whatever he was born into and whatever is around him. His skill is respected. He is well-paid, and he is Somebody.

I hope this is referring to me and my ‘warm puppy’.

The man who is paying attention to you is your future husband.

I do have to say the man described in this spread is a hell of alot like Mr Bull.
This paragraph is him in a nutshell.

We celebrate a man whose hands-on skill is well-paid – an unassuming man who may just be rough around the edges. He is very oriented to the real physical world, and his reality is whatever he was born into and whatever is around him. His skill is respected. He is well-paid, and he is Somebody.

  2. WordPress won’t reproduce the larger card images today. Tried over and over – no go. So the small ones are standing in.
