GUIDANCE             What to do, we ponder, when something appears or disappears. Uh, we also ponder ‘What have I done?’ to make some shift occur. There are also times when we inquire of ourselves whether it’s time for us to leave, or why someone else isn’t around anymore. Nothing makes us think like a change unexplained!

.

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in!

People love this place! Our site is divided into three sections: Guidance; Group Tarot Cards Readings; Learn Tarot by Observing and Learn Tarot by Pictures.

So what do you want to do? –

Did you come here for YOUR PREDICTIONS? daily trends? –

*Then you read the summary above, titled GUIDANCE,

*Then you read the one-sentence readings below titled GROUP TAROT CARDS READINGand you’re done: See you tomorrow. Invite your friends. At the very bottom are comments. New! – the black boxes to the right as you scroll down allow you to comment right there.

GROUP TAROT CARDS READING is the actual word-for-word messages from the pictures of the three cards you see – to everyone. These readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. So, go ahead and pick the sentences you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them for yourself. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

Tarot Readings: Hermit and Eight of Pentacles

HERMIT EIGHT OF PENTACLES

Ask him to leave.

What am I doing … let me think.

Maybe make some changes here.

Consider making a drastic change.

What can I do to get him to leave?

He had no idea he was going to quit.

Wondering what he can do to get out of it.

Wish I knew what I did that made him leave.

When I don’t know what I’m doing, I don’t do it.

.

Tarot Readings: Hermit and Three of Cups

HERMIT THREE OF CUPS

He quit overthinking.

Just make a break for it, won’t you?

If you think about it, you won’t do it.

He quits before he starts, doesn’t he?

He pulled off a disappearing act, it seems.

Got myself off course before I even knew it.

Not one time has he made the first move; has he?

I avoid doing anything I can’t make up my mind about.

.

Tarot Readings: Eight of Pentacles and Three of Cups

EIGHT OF PENTACLES THREE OF CUPS

Quit thinking about it and do it.

I think a detour is what to do here.

Maybe I won’t finish what I’m doing.

Maybe he won’t finish what he starts.

If only I could instantly change myself.

Quit wondering why and do something.

It seems it ends at the beginning here.

Wonder how I can avoid acting like this.

No more uncertainty about how it’s done.

Let’s figure out how to quit doing something.

Magician We just happen to be neatly using Magician’s full spectrum of words and phrases here. This spread is a study of Magician’s vocabulary. Think a shorthand ‘He does/acts/starts/makes’ and you can remember Magician’s headlines. Except Magician embraces a few pronouns besides ‘he’ – his most common one. I, myself, him, himself, and the ‘do it yourself’ category. If your sentence is in passive voice, in which the action ‘was done to,’ then any pronoun is common but would not be directly attributed to Magician. Another aspect of Magician’s general ‘do’ meaning is that he can translate forms of ‘what was done’ or ‘what I/he did.’ Those are noun clauses in sentence structure.

.

Be aware that since Magician is all about the doing of something, he can get lost in the action of another verb from another card, and just end up being a pronoun. Not to worry – Magician doesn’t mind. You can see instances of Magician blending with the action of another card here, where I have underlined, indicating two cards sharing.

.

Magician refers to creation and creating, esoterically speaking. Fool, Magician, High Priestess, Empress, and Emperor refer to the stages of something coming into being, then being active, then passing into being established, in the physical realm. An idea is, like a blueprint, made into something concrete and stays that way – for example. Once it’s perfected, it stagnates – no more change. Details of this process are explained in full in Tarot Email Training that relates to those cards.

.

Now for the picture. Magician is male, and is 1 (the first). Esoterically, 1 is a start, and male is the active principle (activity, doing, initiating), female is the receptive principle (thinking, knowing). One hand reaches upward, with the wand in it, to bring down (to channel) nonphysical influence, through himself, the operator. The other hand points downward to ground the flow. The sideways 8 over his head is the eternity sign (lemniscate) which of course is a flow. On the table are the suits of Tarot (sword, cup, pentacle – the wand is in his hand). One of Magician’s meanings is willpower, and magicians’ definition of magic is ‘willpower.’

Seven of PentaclesSeven of Pentacles is one of the very easy cards to apply, so it is an anchor card (one that you look at first because it is more reliable). What you see here is a fellow who planted a cucumber vine. He won’t know whether it will grow him cucumbers until it does or does not bloom (Blooms make fruit.) because it’s a gendered plant and he doesn’t know whether a plant of the opposite gender is close by enough for bees to pollinate his. Seven of Pentacles especially describes those moments when you have done the work and don’t yet know whether you get the reward.

.

Wonder. Ponder. Consider. Uncertainty. Seems. If, iffy. Seven of Pentacles owns just about any expression of not knowing, and any of the phrases that create the question form of your sentence (like these: won’t you, doesn’t he, has he, if only, what can I). Seven of Pentacles says ‘maybe’ very often. Look for phrases with ‘think’ or ‘know’ in them that are negatively modified. Here are some examples of that: wish I knew, when I don’t know, overthinking, if you think about it, before I even knew, can’t make up my mind, thinking about it, I think, had no idea, figure out how to.

.

I think of Seven of Pentacles and Page of Cups as ‘duh’ cards – cards that express situations where you might say ‘Duh.’ or might attribute that to another person. And both of these can put your spread’s sentence into question form. (Note that Page of Cups as the first Self card in a Celtic Cross spread can indicate that the question is somehow defective – that it doesn’t make sense, or is somehow not capable of a direct answer.

Eight of Cups Eight of Cups is one of the Tarot cards that you have to know the story to skilfully apply. A hint is in the two moon phases glued together up there, suggesting end and beginning. The story is that this pilgrim (Pilgrims wore red as a badge back then.) is going out of his way, detouring, because the mountain is in the way. He will resume his journey: That assumption is built into the full and proper meaning of the card, not that it always applies.

.

This story is loosely applied, in real-life Tarot practice. Watch for Eight of Cups to translate ‘not … anymore’ fairly often, with the meaning of another card where the ellipses is. (If you are researching Eight of Cups for its full spectrum, Google ‘Eight of Cups Tarot Verbatim’ for all the things it has said in all the contexts it has appeared on our site.)

.

Eight of Cups most often means ‘leave’ or ‘quit,’ in any of their forms. It often means ‘avoid.’ It often translates ‘change’ or words that, in that sentence’s context, mean ‘change.’

.

Since the pilgrim’s course is disrupted, interrupted, interfered with, dropped, or abruptly ended, any language that described a situation like that belongs to Eight of Cups. Especially ‘detour’ and ‘run off the road’ for the change of course. Eight of Cups also shows up for ‘avoid.’ Watch for it to ‘duck out’ once in a while.

.

In a similar way to Magician’s getting absorbed into the action of another card, Eight of Cups ends up sometimes translating as a negator even though it is not one all by itself. Today, for example, it translates ‘I don’t do it’ when the rest of the sentence lays the foundation of ‘When I don’t know what I’m doing.’ Eight of Cups refrains from finishing something, which is how it gets to say ‘avoid’ and some other of today’s phrases like: not one time has he; it ends here; no more.

In the center position, Seven of Wands wonders whether. To his left is Magician doing it. To his right is Eight of Cups not doing it. So that is the central and most common story these three Tarot cards tell you. You can see that this spread says both ‘ I don’t know why I didn’t do it,’ and ‘ Maybe make a change,’ and ‘ Why oh why did I go out of my way and do that?’ Just look at the variations in today’s readings, in the sentences we have for you here.

Go ahead. Look at the breakdown where each card is in its own color here (the NOW WE SHOW WHERE EACH PHRASE IN EACH SENTENCE COMES FROM part). It gives you an idea of the variety a given set of cards might mean in a given spread you put down – gives you an idea of how open your mind had best be.

Stalled. Got myself off course before I even knew it. What can I do to make this happen? – how can I get something that has been disrupted started again? It seems to have ended at the beginning, so maybe I won’t finish what I started. Maybe I should quit overthinking? If only I could instantly change myself. (Oh, just quit wondering why and do something – anything – to get things going again.)
