Guidance We get together with other people to get something accomplished as a team, especially when there are obstacles to what we are doing. We have help, we give help, we evade obstacles, we find shortcuts. In the same way, when it comes to personal relationships, sometimes we are doing our part, sometimes our partner is, sometimes we both are … and sometimes not. We analyze, we seek solutions, or we can’t and we quit. It is pictured here as a trek like a pilgrimage, with detours.

Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do:

*Go to Guidance (above ) which is a summary of the Messages. (Guidance is everyone’s favorite part.)

*Go to Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading below.  One or more of those sentences has something to say to you.  Intuitively pick those out and decide whether to encourage or suppress them They are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it.  (It is a group message like a horoscope,  except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data,  so it can be specific,  accurate,  detailed and direct.  Our experiment here is  “How much more accurate is it?”)

Did you come here for your predictions? –  You are done now –  See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer,  four cards can mean contradictory things,  especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards.  Without a question also thepronouns in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses,  feel very free to substitute.  The question in a  ‘real’  individual reading supplies at least half the information!

Three of Pentacles

Eight of Cups – Hermit – Eight of Swords

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

Eight of Cups and Hermit are (1) on the road alone, on foot and (2) somewhat connected with religion and (3) are night scenes. Eight of Cups is on a pilgrimage and his progress is disrupted. Hermit is a monk on the road at night to help travelers.

Eight of Swords is about limitations, being unable, being stymied or tied up (no wiggle room), even being dead, paralyzed or in a coma. Most often, it simply means ‘can’t.’

Three of Pentacles is a meeting, a business meeting, a deal, relationship, contract, agreement or experts meeting together to resolve or at least agree on a mutual concern.

So our theme is getting something done together when there are obstacles to it.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

Eight of Cups shows a pilgrim who is walking at night, who is forced by the terrain to go out of his way. The moon shows both a new and a full moon: end one thing, begin another. Take a detour. Get intercepted or disrupted in your direction.

Hermit He too is patiently out at night on religious duty. He is looking for travelers who need help in the cold at night. He carries a light. He is help, a friend, sincerity, coming to another person.

Eight of Swords Being helpless, unable to (whatever), can’t (whatever). Being locked up (in jail or prison), stymied by situations or other people, boxed in, in a bind. Even being dead or in a coma. This is the actual death card in Tarot Verbatim’s ™ Rider Waite.

Three of Pentacles Let’s make a deal. A contract, an agreement, teamwork, putting heads together, meeting, business meeting, doing business. The architect is showing his clients, with the blueprint, that he did his job and is entitled to his final and largest payment.

Guidance The people who consistently do the right thing are the very ones who worry themselves about whether they are doing the right thing. When a guy is so sweet it’s scary, women wonder how they can get his attention – sometimes because he will be susceptible to pressure to give them things. Sometimes ‘fairness’ gets entwined with entitlement in such a way we only do right if there’s ‘something in it for us.’

Romance: Guy is so Sweet (King of Cups)

Guy is so sweet it’s scary; wonder how I can get his attention?

Excited that the man loves you and wondering about him paying you some attention.

Exciting to contemplate treating your ‘warm puppy’ the way he deserves.

He loves you but he doubts himself and is nervous about paying the bills.

Afraid he is getting what he deserves; he doubts he is being the affectionate guy.

Afraid that, if he loves (you), he may be paying (your) bills.

Affectionate man torments himself wondering whether he will get the loving attention he deserves.

Panicky trying to figure out whether her honey is a good man who treats her right.

Feelings About Money (Page of Swords + Six of Pentacles)

My anxious and uncertain feeling about paying bills.

Why (am I/is he) feeling so excited about this purchase?

A ‘bean counter’ who is very touchy about ‘What’s in it for me?’

A ‘high-strung’ introverted guy wonders where his money is going.

A good guy/gentleman is ‘mad as hell': Where will his next dollar come from?

Emotionally overwrought wondering where the money is going.

Anxious speculation about government checks.

Government employees wonder and worry about pay.

All worked up over … I’m paying the government WHAT?

Speculation About Doing Right (Page of Swords + Six of Pentacles)

He feels accused and wonders whether he will be in court.

Anxious speculation about legal proceedings with the government.

All fired up about doing right; he seems very emotional.

Bureaucrat ponders whether to defend what is right.

Out of fear, he is being quiet so (they) may treat him right.

A decent man gets himself all worked up wondering whether he is doing the right thing.

Miscellaneous

He figures he is their friend – is annoyed that they give so much attention to others.

He is uncertain about the dangers of treatment

For a quiet guy like me, this is exciting, but can I get people to pay attention to it?

Figure we should respect a man who can be so calm when he is so anxious.

Is in crisis – can you give him something to calm him down?

Fears of Being in Court (Page of Swords + Six of Pentacles)

He feels accused and wonders if he will be in court.

Anxious speculation about legal proceedings with the government.

Seven of Pentacles

Page of Swords – Six of Pentacles – King of Cups

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

Page of Swords and Seven of Pentacles are in a state of anxious uncertainty. Page of Swords is the ‘things go bump in the night’ kind and Seven of Pentacles is the ‘Duh, I wonder’ kind. Together they man anxious (Page of Pentacles) and uncertain (Seven of Pentacles).

Six of Pentacles is to give or receive – money or attention, usually. It is a legal proceeding card, meaning ‘doing he right thing’ as well.

King of Cups is the calm man, the quiet man, the good man, the bureaucrat (sometimes the drinking man or the weak man). He is government, a government employee, a bureaucrat or regulator. And he is your honey, the affectionate fellow.

With two of our Tarot representatives meaning anxious feelings and feeling unsure, we are lucky to have the other two be so ‘normal.’ They make the story about feelings and treating people right.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

Page of Swords Heightened awareness that there’s some threat ‘out there.’ Sometimes there is, you know. There’s no physical threat to our hyper-alert fellow in the illustration: You can see there’s nothing for miles around. His apprehension comes from inside.

Six of Pentacles pays its dues. It’s about paying and getting paid fairly, and that goes for attention as well as money. Salary is very much what we are about in this Rider Waite Tarot card: The employer is weighing the coins to pay the laborers fairly. The scales in his hand brings this card into the justice category too.

King of Cups is one of those quiet fellows, the affection man, the pencil pusher or bureaucrat. He is government too – any level anywhere. The emotional man is also the emotionally conflicted man, depending on his Tarot card environment.

Seven of Pentacles Huh? Gee, I wonder … Seven of Pentacles is unsure, he speculates, he leans on his shovel wondering about what kind of crop he will have, if any. Sometimes he puts the sentence in question form in Tarot Verbatim ™.

Guidance Today it’s all about success, being and having what you want, and things happening your way. Things happen your way because you aren’t engaging in risky behavior. Dream Come True, Have What you Want (Nine of Cups + Ace of Pentacles)

Put some things behind and head in the right direction to dare to fulfill your dream.

Risk what you are satisfied with now for something even better later.

So happy when we succeed in getting *whatever or whoever works against us* out of the way! Off the perp goes, and I am happy and successful now!

As far as money goes, the sky is the limit, and you avoid the risks.

You can do anything you want if you give it your all and avoid whatever would take it away from you.

If you really want to, you succeed in getting yourself out of a bad situation.

My dream comes true when I sneak out the back door for a better life.

Got what I really wanted and just put the rest behind me as not worth going to all that trouble.

After you succeed and have it all, you can avoid risk.

It’s not just fooling around any more; now I have exactly who I want.

My dream comes true when I sneak out the back door for a better life.

The worst is over, you survived the mission, the best is already here.

Whatever the hazards were, they are gone now, and you reap the reward of being on the Path.

Successfully avoid the risky way to have what you most want.

You get on the right track when you put behind you what sabotages the dream you really want.

A desire to be on the right track gets you off the wrong one.

Wanting to be perfect, you miss out on the adventure.

The best way for you to be satisfied with your life is to put distance between yourself and the perp.

What’s good for you? – is to not harm yourself anymore, and you got it made.

The perp is out of your life just like you wanted: perfect!

Put what you want aside when the benefit isn’t worth the risk.

I don’t want all that money anymore because of the shenanigans that go with it.

Avoid the dangerous road and all is well.

Gave Up the Bad Ways (Seven of Swords + Six of Swords)

No longer a bandit because life is just right now, I already have all I want.

Tricked into doing right, is headed toward what (he) really wanted.

Glad I got out of there, and, yes, it was worth taking the chance. I wanted out of there and I got it – I sneaked out.

The Criminal and Success (Seven of Swords + Ace of Pentacles)

Give people something they really want and you can get away with cheating them. (‘get away with murder’)

Not going to succeed anymore at getting what he wants ‘any way he can.’ The criminal isn’t getting the reward he wants anymore.

Enjoy the risk even when (I) miss the payoff.

To possess the money you make overseas, you smuggle it out of that country.

Successful smugglers ‘have it all’ out of the country. Smuggled the money out of the country the way I wanted.

Going on a dream cruise is the best way to sneak off.

Criminal fundraising overseas? – you will be rich.

Accomplished the mission to my satisfaction, and left with some money.

A double-cross just to get what he wanted and leave with some money.

Missing Out on the Best (Ace of Pentacles + Six of Swords)

When you give up on what you want to have, you sabotage getting it.

Cheating on Mr./Mrs. Right, you miss your best chance at happiness.

Miss out on the best life if your craving gets the best of you.

When he/she cheated on me and left, that was the best darn present he/she could ever have given me.

Wanting to be perfect, you bypass the adventure.

Six of Swords

Nine of Cups – Seven of Swords- Ace of Pentacles

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

Both Nine of Cups and Ace of Pentacles are dream cards. Nine of Cups is ‘having it all.’ Ace of Pentacles is having it all too.

The emphasis in Nine of Cups is being satisfied with plenty, as in ‘I ate the whole thing.’ The emphasis in Ace of Pentacles is the reward of being on the right track (or the Path). Doing right is rewarded in Ace of Pentacles. You just get rewarded in (burp!) Nine of Cups.

The other two cards now. Seven of Swords is to dare, to do wrong, to sneak (maybe away), to betray or double-cross (or even be a traitor), to be a perp or criminal, to cheat, to make a getaway. To have an adventure or be a special forces kind of person.

Six of Swords is also to get away. Seven of Swords suggests a kind of ‘leave the scene of the crime’ getaway, or getting away with the crime. Sneaking out. Whereas Six of Swords is putting anything (place, person, past) behind and moving on to a better times ahead … better because the past was so bad. The worst is over in Six of Swords. The adventure may be fresh in Seven of Swords.

Put it all together and the main story today is: Whatever the hazards were, they are gone now, and you reap the reward.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

Nine of Cups In every self-respecting Tarot deck, Nine of Cups is ‘Your wish is granted,’ a dream-come-true card. We here are about having it all, being sooo satisfied (Burp!). It is about plenty or even excess. The fat fellow with all the cups behind him drank it all.

Seven of Swords is the spy, the trickster, the terrorist or black-op patriot. Usually he is a cheater or thief. He accomplishes his mission and makes a getaway in our illustration … but is carrying the enemy’s weapons that he stole by the blades.

Ace of Pentacles The message is obvious: The reward of being on the right track or right path. The hand holding the gold is over the straight and narrow, lilies in front and arbor of victory at its end. Its main meaning is success – both as money and as accomplishment.

Six of Swords Putting anything (place, person, past) behind and moving on to a better times ahead … better because the past was so bad. The worst is over in Six of Swords. You are leaving, leaving the past behind. A friend helps you out of there with his row boat.

Guidance  Our story today is about the good future that comes when you balance both the practical sensible looking-where-you’re-going approach with the ‘leap of faith’ approach in your personal affairs. We have our home and we have our path: Reconciling them is a good thing.

Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses,  feel very free to substitute.  The question in a  ‘real’  individual reading supplies at least half the information!

 Hermit

Three of Wands – Fool – Queen of Wands

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

Fool and Hermit are spiritual cards (Hermit is religious too.)

Fool is about how spiritual realities free you from some physical realities and certain physical consequences. (That is what the skipping blithely over the cliff scene represents.) Fool also means being oblivious, letting it be, forgetful, optimistic, and young starting out.

Hermit is about searching and serving in very down-to-earth physical practical ways. It also represents devotion to and looking out for others. Hermit as a person is an old man, is celibate or monogamous, and is a (true, devoted usually) friend.

Our other two Rider Waite Tarot cards are Three of Wands and Queen of Wands. Three of Wands refers to ships coming in, good things are and will be happening, a good future, future tense, waiting, and profit. Queen of Wands is wife, woman of the house, the household or house or home, a practical or pragmatic approach, and managing an orderly home or business or personal life – as in putting your affairs in order.

Our story today therefore is about a good future comes when you can balance both the practical sensible looking-where-you’re-going approach with the ‘leap of faith’ approach in your personal affairs.

Queen of Wands Mama has that watchful schoolteacher look, sitting upright on her plain throne with a board in one hand and a flower in the other. She is about wife, woman of the house, the household or house or home, a practical or pragmatic approach, and managing an orderly home or business or personal life – as in putting your affairs in order.

Fool This first card (Zero) of any Tarot deck represents how spiritual realities free you from some physical realities and certain physical consequences. (That is what the skipping blithely over the cliff scene represents.) Fool also means being oblivious, letting it be, forgetful, optimistic, and young starting out.

Three of Wands refers to ships coming in, good things are and will be happening, a good future, future tense, waiting, and profit. All of these are illustrated by the merchant gazing at incoming ships that bring his new merchandise and his profit.

Hermit The elderly monk is out with his lamp in the winter dark looking for travelers in distress, to aid them. Hermit is about searching and serving in very down-to-earth physical practical ways. It also represents devotion to and looking out for others. Hermit as a person is an old man, is celibate or monogamous, and is a (true, devoted usually) friend.

Guidance If you are an assertive type, how you talk is more important than it is for other people. When two intelligent assertive individuals interact, they trim their sails for one another: They find who can dominate on what subject or activity, in order to share the turf. Here we have a studly manipulative dude and a woman who makes people behave just by being herself. He dominates the conversation as she gets him to talk.

Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses,  feel very free to substitute.  The question in a  ‘real’  individual reading supplies at least half the information!

Eight of Wands

Strength – King of Pentacles – Page of Wands

 GROUP ANALYTICAL TAROT CARDS READING
Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.

Man with the Studly Talk (King of Pentacles + Eight of Wands)

She is gaining control over the invasion he is to her with his studly charm.

Studmuffin talked nicely to her; she is able to resist his influence.

Studmuffin delivers all the lines and is looking so good to the assertive woman.

Sexy fellow tells her to touch him one more time.

He is his sexiest around women who can talk with authority about anything.

The more she massages his body, the sexier he feels.

She Gets Him to (Strength + King of Pentacles)

The girl can handle all the problems a good-looking man with money represents.

He talks all about himself egotistically, and she moves in on him.

Oh, she can hold her own in a conversation with a good-looking gangster.

He is a manipulator, a fast talker, but she keeps him quiet.

She has a way about her that flamboyant dudes are Boy Scouts around her.

He dominates the conversation as she gets him to talk.

She gets him to be his best self and still have all those manipulative ways.

All the ways she gets domineering men to be on their best behavior.

Business:

She Solves/Handles Situations (Strength + Eight of Wands)

She makes the apprentice do it over until he is a master of it.

The controlling man speaks up and says she is a controlling woman.

Personal

A List of Her Accomplishments (Strength + Eight of Wands)

She has the father situation under control: She gets him to talking about himself.

He is the one with the power, but she prevails on those points.

She tells a well-off young man how to handle his situation.

Get them chatting about themselves and you can beat rich bastards out of their money.

He is the type to be in control, and she is getting him to do just that, a step at a time.

The influential politician backs her with his word of approval so she can win more quickly.

She brought up a handsome young man who is quickly becoming Somebody.

Her father is proud of her for overcoming all those things.

Just talking about it with Senior solves her problem with Junior. Just talking about it with Junior solves her problem with Senior.

With all his manipulative talent, she brings him up to be an honest young man.

Miscellaneous: Talk (Page of Wands + Eight of Wands)

A strong man with a strong woman have some things to talk about.

Everything this influential man and woman say is self-serving.

Everyone is talking about two powerhouses uniting as a couple.

The bankster tells her a list of things to accomplish.

I can put down everything a politician says to oppose this.

He can talk anyone into anything, but she is a damper on that.

She speaks well of all the powerful men.

He admits freely how bossy she is: He is bossy too so he is proud of that.

Eight of Wands

Strength – King of Pentacles – Page of Wands

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

The first two cards are a woman who is controlling, Strength, and a man who is controlling, King of Pentacles.

Strength is able, finesses situations, solves problems, and shuts people up. Oh, she is hands-on and is about physical touch.

King of Pentacles is the Italian Stallion type: influential, manipulative, maybe flamboyant, the boss, and of course studly. I call him Studmuffin at times.

The second pair of Rider Waite citizens at our table both mean talk, communication.

Page of Wands is (also) good-looking and proud. He is young, maybe an assistant or apprentice, and respectable. Sometimes the Page of Wands is a female assistant.

Eight of Wands means communication (written, verbal – anything). It also means one after the other, quickly, increasingly or ‘more and more.’

We have no conflicts here. The two powerful people are getting along. We have talking but not what they are talking about. So rather than events we have types of people interacting, and the overcoming or quashing or dampering of (whatever).

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

Strength A woman makes the lion purr who attacked her – because of her superior strength on the spiritual plane. You know how muggers avoid attacking people who look unvictimlike? She wears the math sign for ‘eternity’ (as in repeating fractions like 1/3 is .3333 etc.). This is about stifling opposition, overcoming, handling situations, finesse – and of course assertive women.

King of Pentacles Italian Stallion type: influential, manipulative, maybe flamboyant, the boss, and of course studly. I call him Studmuffin at times. He is pictured in somewhat flamboyant dress, hands on the money, looking kinds smug in my humble opinion.

Page of Wands To speak up, to honor your word, to be respectable, to be a young assistant or apprentice. To be handsome and well-dressed, even foppish. This is the ‘Oh, he’s sooo cute’ guy.

Eight of Wands The limbs fly in the air, looking like lines on a paper. This Rider Waite Tarot card means quickly, one after the other (although the limbs were released simultaneously), increasingly and accumulatively. It also means text or verbal communication in Tarot Verbatim ™.

Our Daily Spread May 06, 2012 Sunday©

Guidance Well, this spread is a recipe for epiphany. We have two themes: New consciousness or new awareness and people troubles. We also emphatically speak of a new life, a rebirth, a recovery – counterbalanced by the same card meaning ‘to return to,’ which puts the ‘return’ into backsliding into the troubled situation. So this is Sunday, and we are being psychiatric here … fair warning? It’s also Sunday and we have waaaay too many sentences for comfort. You can quit whenever you like, okay?

Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do:

*Go to Guidance (above ) which is a summary of the Messages. (Guidance is everyone’s favorite part.)

GROUP ANALYTICAL TAROT CARDS READING
Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.

Realization, Awareness; A Change in Consciousness (Judgment + Hanged Man)

Spiritual awakening when you are overwhelmed by living among people.

Remind yourself that when things get their worst is when they change. In the midst of major miasma, I feel new life coming around the bend.

Bogged down in complications until an inspiration changes the perspective.

I feel I am making a difference, after years of other people’s issues.

Sudden perception that this is the very worst time of putting up with family, that things are changing.

Inspiration to get out of the huge problems in the home.

I am told in a vision that I have been dysfunctional entirely too long.

I get flashes of intuition that announce these people are in a lot of trouble.

A whole new view: The worse our problems, the longer we are together.

As I am staying forever in a bad marriage, I get a whiff of new life out there.

It was way too complicated until I got an idea how to change it.

A shift in consciousness: For so long we muddled through conflicts.

These spiritual awakenings overwhelm when they strike all at once as you deal with daily life.

When people at their worst get to you, you have a vision of an angel.

Shift out of too much awareness of other people’s problems.

Insight into all these other people and their conflicts changes you.

Trouble: Insight and Hindsight (Ten of Pentacles + Hanged Man)

Suddenly aware we have been through a lot of trouble together.

Now that I am in a new life, I realize that long marriage was so difficult, so troubled. It’s when you recover that you realize how bad your problems really were.

The minute you see that it’s the hostile atmosphere that wears you down, you are over it.

Suddenly you get it: They have always been a hateful bunch of people.

Got a new idea about these families that are barely making it.

Sense it’s other people’s interference that is changing things so much.

Still in a rocky relationship but I just know it will change.

Change in Myself; Self-Awareness (Judgment + Hanged Man)

Appreciate what a huge effort I am making to be different from the culture around me.

Everybody’s troubles get me down: That’s something I know must change. It’s I who must change when everybody puts burdens on me. I know I got to change or I will be putting up with these people for a long time. I have turned into someone who will put up too much with other people’s dysfunctions: I can see that all of a sudden.

Aware that all these problems have changed me.

Got the idea it’s too damn much trouble to change.

Realize how I have changed, going through all this people trouble.

See how much trouble it would be and change my mind.

Miscellaneous

(a) Business (Ten of Pentacles)

Get this good news: The extremely disgruntled coworkers are out of here.

Takes this team forever because they can’t get along with one another: THAT, you realize, is what to change.

Infighting here is so oppressive I think I am onto somewhere else.

(b) General:

Now I remember: Tire the bad guys out, wear them down.

I know I will recover slowly from the complications.

When life with people is getting to you, say what is on your mind.

I know bad people when I see them but it takes me a while to say something.

Announce formally so they understand that the trouble is only going to get worse. Shout to make yourself understood because they are engrossed in their petty differences.

Going Back to Trouble (Ten of Pentacles + Judgment)

Sense that going back to those difficult people will be overwhelming.

Realize this is a long term complicated relationship that you would be going back to.

It’s such a hard life being dysfunctional, but I see how I go back to it.

Just picture going back there to the ongoing feud.

Realize you will be coming back to more trouble than you can stand.

It hits you that (he/she) went back to the old circle of dysfunctional druggies.

Realize that when trouble re-visits, it is much worse.

You knew sooner or later the bad penny would come back.

Took me forever to realize (you) went back to your old gang.

Sad Change in People (Ten of Pentacles + Ten of Wands +Judgment)

Realize too late the changes in the people you know. Stricken by sadness at the change in my people. See all too well the changes in society. Finally you catch on to why everyone changed.

Can see all it entails for people like this to change.

Now that he is in all of this trouble he ‘gets it’ and changes.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

Two cards are about troubles: Ten of Pentacles is trouble with people, people who are trouble, dysfunctional relationships or dysfunctional families … even politicians, corrupt businesses and gangsters. Ten of Wands is being burdened and overwhelmed by too much; being slowed down and depressed.

Two cards are about a change in consciousness or new awareness. Judgment is a change of any kind, usually positive (as in a new life after death, you know). It’s ‘a whole new’ anything … always a good thing. Hanged Man is a sudden awareness, as in a flash of intuition, a eureka experience, a deja vu experience, any shift in consciousness that involves a realization of some truth.

Both Judgment and Hanged Man have suddenness in their vocabulary too. Both Ten and Wands and Hanged Man are intense. The intense realization in Hanged man and the overwhelming experience of Ten of Wands.

These made too many sentences. Yes, I weeded out some fairly morbid ones, and some redundant ones. And I put some similar ones in paragraphs instead of standing alone – easier to read. I felt the phrasing would mean something to different people, so I didn’t wade in and ruthlessly chop.

There are enough categories you can just skim or not read to the end. I put the most gloomy ones at the end. (I don’t see them as that gloomy, but I think most people would.)

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

Ten of Pentacles The mundane daily grind of ‘one damn thing after another,’ dysfunctional people that make a dysfunctional us. The Rider Waite deck illustrates Ten of Pentacles with a family quarrel: See the Head Dude imperiously on his chair-throne with the dogs on his side? He pays no attention to the couple, and the husband pays no attention to the wife, and the wife is paying no attention to the howling youngun. (I think grandpa wants another grandchild.)

Ten of Wands Too much, too slow, too hard, doing it all in one load is too depressing for words. Overwhelm mode. Slow progress. Extremely. The Rider Waite illustration shows a man bent over from the load of the limbs he is carrying.

Judgment The angel of Judgment Day (meant to Christianize the deck for decency’s sake in the Middle Ages in Europe) awakens the dead to new life in the illustration. So Judgment is about a new phase, a new realization, a new lease on life, a sudden surprise (a good one), and an announcement or shout.

Hanged Man Eureka is an experience of sudden realization as the subconscious kicks an idea onto the floor of consciousness. Suddenly you get it. Here, it is more a spiritual experience under the influence of Judgment.
