Tarot Readings for You for April 15-16, 2017 Saturday-Sunday©

Apr 14, 2017 by

This is an email reading of a person who gives me permission to share it here. It is fine general advice, and I think you will enjoy it.

.

[from the email form]

My question is: If I can’t be in a relationship with a little (ahem) responsible adult fooling around soon, then I think I may go crazy. How can I encourage a relationship of this sort with a gentleman?

.

Question: How can I encourage a relationship of this sort with a gentleman?

.

Queen of Swords – Four of Pentacles – Ace of Cups

“I am not in need of love.”

I am _ in need – Queen of Swords

not much – Four of Pentacles

of love. – Ace of Cups

.

Hermit – Queen of Cups – Four of Wands

I know I am family with a fine man who takes care of me.

I know a fine man – Queen of Cups

am family with – Four of Wands

a man who is devoted to me, takes care of me. – Hermit

.

Three of Pentacles – High Priestess – Two of Wands

I’m a lady who will always be in a mutually supportive relationship.

I’m a lady who – High Priestess*

will always be – Two of Wands

in a mutually supportive relationship. – Three of Pentacles

*High Priestess, as a lady, does not do; she is the passive party. She doesn’t call you, you call her.

.

Star – Knight of Swords – Five of Wands

I feel so good, I am so gorgeous you hurry up and join the competition.

I feel so good, I am so gorgeous – Star

you (guy) turn around and go after me in a hurry – Knight of Swords

because there’s such competition. – Five of Wands

.

Four of Cups – Magician – Page of Wands

Hey, handsome guy: I don’t take initiative.

Hey, handsome guy – you talk to me: – Page of Wands

because I do not – Four of Cups

take initiative/make the first move. – Magician

.

Two of Cups – Emperor – Two of Wands

Thus you will always have grownup (mature) men seducing you.

Thus you will always have – Two of Wands

a grownup secure man – Emperor

seducing you/interested in you. – Two of Cups

Here’s what your reading calls to mind:

A fellow who was the town lothario (and all the girls chased him shamelessly) who was chasing me talked about: The most attractive thing, to men, about a female was ‘the well-fucked look.’ He described the look … huh? So he pointed out the look on a gal who was engaged to get married. I got it. She had a glow, she was totally calm and safunsified.

Since guys pick up (at least subconsciously) on the look, it figures that a guy would want to be with such a gal.

Tarot is suggesting that you look like you already have a great love thing going, and it will attract a fellow or fellows to be that successful with a woman. That’s your challenge! Since you got this advice, and only this, I suspect a susceptible fellow is nearby, sniffing the ground.

Emily to Client:  Since this is good general advice, if you’re comfortable with it, I am thinking about using it for a blog post.  Sometimes I put someone’s email reading up.  Stripped of all ID, of course.  It’s up to younot twisting your arm. – Emily

Client’s Feedback:

Please feel free to use my reading on the blog. It is good general advice and makes me laugh even to re-read it. I do have 2 or 3 likely candidates – I think – but was starting to second guess myself and needed some encouragement to just sit on my hands a bit longer with a serene high priestess smile on my face. This reading made me think about the principle that like attracts like and also the idea that men love the feeling that they have won the grand prize. So best to let them have the pleasure of doing the work to get there.

GET A SINGLE CARD’S MEANINGS: TYPE ITS NAME AND ‘TAROT VERBATIM’ INTO GOOGLE

.

Four of Wands – A socially prominent respectable family – the foundation and leaders of the town – is hosting the public part of a wedding ceremony: That’s our picture. The ‘family’ theme extends to any group or organization or Company – any kind and any size of group of people, from neighborhood to national or international.

.

As a wedding, Four of Wands starts with the marriage and the couple, of course. Naturally, Four of Wands means the good sensible solid people of the society (any society, anywhere). But it also (as its twin ‘family’ card does) means ‘everybody.’ Today it is a crowd, and the people who are in good shape, who are doing well, who are ‘as good as anyone else.’ It also represents a good home life.

.

Four of Wands is a house or building, including a public building. Today, that makes it a treatment center or a religious organization, with Hermit as the religious part.

Hermit – Hermit This (service order) monk goes out at night with a light as a beacon for travelers on the road, to help them or invite them in for dinner. So Hermit is coming to the aid of, helping out, looking or searching or seeking, a religious person, being decent and wise, and also being a doctor or healer. He is dressed as a doctor of the middle ages’ time. Hermit is a trip on the road, usually pedestrian. Hermit also can refer to winter, snow, cold, mountains, nighttime, and carrying a light (flashlight, headlight, etc.).

.

Hermit owns the virtues and attributes of a service monk: being devoted, being alone, being humble, being on the Path, being religious, kind, helpful, a friend, loyal.

.

This Hermit card also translates: understanding, knowing, truth, sincere, seeing or observing, or even witnessing.

Five of Pentacles – is one of the dismal cards. It can be about hitting bottom and being so numb you don’t see the way out. It can be desperation. Being desperate financially, having a hopeless health problem – all of that. The picture shows homeless son and mother, crippled and shoeless trudging through the snow past a church that, back then offered food and shelter … unless you were a leper, and that is what the bell around the boy’s neck represents. So today Five of Pentacles says these things in our story: disabled, miserable, draining him of life, people who are in need, feeling inferior, sick and crippled people, the ghetto, and desperate people in bad shape.

.

But that is just where we start … with the illustration. Here are the more common meanings of Five of Pentacles from today’s work: A rundown neighborhood, I’m lonely, a fixer-upper house, leaves you cold, feeling left out, broke, on a shoestring, sacrifices and does without, misses, in the dead of winter, when you are down, my shortcomings, and when you need it.

.

Five of Pentacles can, and often is, making do with what you have; doing without as a sacrifice. Even a down mood or a ‘day from hell.’

.

But Five of Pentacles has a very special meaning for your spiritual life: Dark Night of the Soul. That’s when you have had an enlightenment, an epiphany, a peak experience, a eureka revelation or awakening, which is followed by a sort of buyer’s-remorse despair at … now that you see … how benighted, how ignorant, you were. Dark Night of the Soul is a miserable, but normal and natural, experience.

.

.

.

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

                  LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES..

.. ….. …     .

.

These three cards have some powerful and curious interplays in common. Hermit is a monk, a service monk, out looking for people in need outdoors on a mountain path, to bring them in for dinner and wise chat. The mother and son in Five of Pentacles are outdoors on the street, in need, passing by a church and not asking help from it. So we have someone bringing help to people who need it but are not seeking it. We have two stories that take place outdoors on the street or trail, and we have two cards that are stories about church.

.

Four of Wands is home, and is people who have the comforts of a good home. Five of Pentacles is people who have no home and no comfort. Hermit – the helper and the help – is stationed between them. Four of Wands and Five of Pentacles contrasts people who are in good shape with people who are in bad shape, and contrasts the superior ‘leaders of the town’ with the inferior ‘bums on the street.’

.

Hermit is a solitary individual who is alone, and Five of Pentacles is people who are ‘alone in the world,’ who are lonely outcasts.

.

Four of Wands is an organization and Hermit can translate ‘religious,’ so: a religious organization – or its building or headquarters, which Four of Wands also means. Hermit is devoted, and Four of Wands is family, so: He is devoted to his family, or devotion to the family. Hermit is coming, and Four of Wands is home, so: coming home.

.

The theme for the preponderance of the stories these spreads make is: belonging and not belonging – being a member of the group, or being outside membership – whether by choice as Hermit is, or by being shunned and shut out or excluded as Five of Pentacles is.

. ….. ..

.

.

AND NOW WITHOUT THE PICTURES:

.

These three cards have some powerful and curious interplays in common. Hermit is a monk, a service monk, out looking for people in need outdoors on a mountain path, to bring them in for dinner and wise chat. The mother and son in Five of Pentacles are outdoors on the street, in need, passing by a church and not asking help from it. . ….. ..

.

.

.……. ………………. ….………..

A person who is all about solitude feels as stressed in the company of a bunch of people as a person who is a natural-born joiner feels in solitude. The group leaves you cold when your real life is internal. One man can see how his marriage is draining him of life, and another misses being married and is out looking. But even if you are a hermit, your people comfort you when you are down.

Wheel of Fortune

Eight of Wands – Four of Wands – Hermit

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Hermit and Wheel of Fortune together. Being helped and lucking out. Not bad. And what comes with it, here at our conference table of the day, doesn’t detract a bit. Eight of Wands simply means many, quickly, over and over, and news or messages or speaking – to say, tell, talking, etc. And Four of Wands is family, people, an organization, neighbors or neighborhood, a house or building, and a couple. It isn’t being marriage today, as Hermit isn’t being the celibate or monogamous fellow.

Wheel of Fortune’s other meanings are destiny, lucky, wonderful, miracle, fortuitous happening, coincidence, a chance or opportunity, and gambling. Wheel of Fortune and Four of Wands make a casino, a house of gambling.

Hermit is coming to the aid of, helping out, looking or searching or seeking, a religious person, a counselor. It means understanding, observing, being wise, coming to, and a trip or being on the road. Sometimes it means nighttime.

Eight of Wands simply means many, quickly, over and over, and news or messages or speaking – to say, tell, talking, etc. That is the way the card functions in sentences, but the illustration doesn’t reflect those meanings very well. Limbs flying in the air, yes, are going fast. And the lines resemble lines on paper. Eight of Wands means texting these days, but it most often makes another card plural, or translates ‘many.’

Four of Wands This is a society wedding you see here, which is a civic occasion, so the ‘family’ theme expands to any group – any kind and any size of group – of people, from neighborhood to national or international. It talks about a house or building. It is also a couple, of course.

Hermit This (service order) monk goes out at night with a light as a beacon for travelers on the road, to help them or invite them in for coffee. So Hermit is coming to the aid of, helping out, looking or searching or seeking, a religious person, a counselor. It means understanding, observing, being wise, coming to, and a trip or being on the road. Sometimes it means nighttime.

Wheel of Fortune This funky design depicts the concept that ‘out there’ entities affect earthly happenings, both divine and infernal ones. In the center circle are the four letters of God’s name in Hebrew, interspersed with ‘Rota’ or maybe even ‘Taro.’ On the outside are the aforesaid infernal critters, many with books they are looking at. It resembles a roulette wheel, doesn’t it? Meanings are destiny, lucky, miracle or miraculous, wonderful, fortuitous happening, coincidence, a chance or opportunity, and gambling.

EXPLANATIONS: (Skip this and the gray tags to get to Comments.)

Each and every ‘Tarot Reading’ sentence you see is a literal interpretation of the four Rider Waite Tarot cards drawn and pictured for today. (The literal interpretation is from the illustration on each card.) These sentences are put together by only combining the phrases of what each cards says. In other words, there are NO “filler” phrases added just to make full sentences, and no psychic ability or spirit guide is ever involved.

Now in an ‘real’ individual reading, the questioner asks a specific question and thereby supplies at least half the information! In a personal reading, the parties are identified and sometimes a time frame is too. Here, in a group reading we cannot do that and so we get a variety of sentences.

Horoscopes are group readings, too. Astrology is based on someone else’s birth data, though, so a ‘solar’ group horoscope never really solidly applies to you! (Astrologers want you to know this!)

Tarot, on the other hand, is perfectly capable of flexibly addressing any group, including all of the visitors that come to this site. It can also address people you might not even know personally, such as all the people at your job who have a say in whether or not you get a raise.
