.

Magician Today’s readings are a great example of how Magician gets swallowed up by other cards’ meanings because Magician means: do, start, make, initiate or initiative. Those words are inferred in the meanings of some other cards. Today Magician and Eight of Cups are about not doing something or not doing it anymore. Today Magician and Six of Pentacles are about the doing of: paying bills, treating other people right, giving respect or attention, doing ‘it’ right.

.

Magician in Rider Waite represents the active principle, represents the doing (not the thinking or anything else, just action). Refer to the two-card combination parts at the end of this post to see how Magician gets swallowed up in the action that other cards specify the nature of.

Eight of Cups A pilgrim, the story here is, detours around a mountain, going out of his way. The pilgrim will resume his direction once past the obstacle, and bear in mind Eight of Cups sometimes means that.

.

Eight of Cups is on a journey: He has left but has not arrived. That is true of Six of Swords as well. But Six of Swords’ journey is going from one place to another directly, and Eight of Cups encounters a disruption, goes off the road (in any sense), or aborts course. Eight of Cups is leaving, quitting, dropping out, walking away, not showing up (A. W. O. L.).

.

Look for Eight of Cups to mean a change. Look for it to mean ‘on the road’ or traveling. It is one of several cards that mean to switch from one to another or to switch direction.

.

Eight of Cups means to drop out, as well as to go out of your way, two opposite things.

.

Eight of Cups also means a disruption or interruption.

.

So Eight of Cups has odd meanings. It is not an anchor card; you fit it into the others, usually. The beginning and ending moon phases can mean things like: a month, ‘burning the midnight oil,’ dusk, twilight. You get a feel for what this card is talking about, with experience. (If you are looking for exhaustive meanings for this Eight of Cups fellow, Google ‘Eight of Cups Tarot Verbatim’ and the archives will spill all. Be sure to click on the ‘more’ after the usual six or so beginning items.)

.

In its present company, Eight of Cups is acting as a negator (negative modifier), which isn’t its usual function.

Six of Pentacles He has some scales and the coins he pays them with for what they do for him. Treating people right and doing the right thing are major portions of Six of Pentacles’ meanings. The point is fairness because he is going by the weight of the gold that’s left in the coins rather than the face value. Six of Pentacles is a fair exchange; is commerce; is a paycheck or labor expense. It is also the card for making payments.

.

An exchange involves both giving and receiving, of course. And the scales bring justice into the dictionary of Six of Pentacles.

.

This exchange extends to paying attention, giving respect and getting it, and getting what is deserved (either way). The act of dropping the coins into the hands of other people, along with the fact Six of Pentacles is about ‘treating’ people fairly, stretches this card to dispensing medicines and treating people medically. Six of Pentacles translates ‘treatment.’

.

.

.

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

                   LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

.

. …..       ..

Magician tends to fade into the meaning of other cards when they are talking about doing something, so that Magician’s ‘ do’ phrase is extraneous. This makes Eight of Cups translate ‘ doesn’t,’ a negative modifier, which isn’t its real function. An action card (Six of Pentacles in this case) modified by Eight of Cups ends up saying he isn’t paying, but the literal interpretation would be something like: ‘ What he is doing is, he is not (fill in the other card’s meaningSix of Pentacles in this case).’ So ‘ isn’t paying his bills’ for Eight of Cups and Six of Pentacles … because we would not say ‘ what he is doing is not paying his bills.’ Eight of Cups means ‘ to avoid’ or ‘ avoiding,’ and it would be equally awkward, language-wise, to say ‘ What he is doing is avoiding paying.’ Eight of Cups says ‘ ain’t doin’ it’ with Magician, but Eight of Cups, as I said, isn’t really a negator … that’s not his job as a rule. It’s a matter of phrasing in English.

.

As a member of the justice Tarot tribe, Six of Pentacles may translate ‘right’: treat me right, do what’s proper.

.

As a member of the financial Tarot tribe, Six of Pentacles may translate ‘affordable,’ ‘for that price,’ ‘pays off,’ ‘payback,’ ‘paycheck,’ and ‘pays me for that.’

.

Often the presence of Eight of Cups in a three-card spread makes conflicting stories because Eight of Cups is incompletion, and it can apply to either of the other two cards. In real-life Tarot practice, the question or other ‘knowns’ will supply how to interpret.

.

So Six of Pentacles is getting paid, Magician is doing it, and Eight of Cups can be about not getting paid or not doing it. See? Or getting paid for not doing.

.

The fairness theme of Six of Pentacles extends to legal proceedings: See the scales of justice there? The word ‘dispense’ is called up sometimes, and so is ‘give,’ of course. The ‘dispense’ and ‘give’ meanings stretch to include prescription medications.

. …..      ..

.

NOW WITHOUT THE PICTURES

Magician tends to fade into the meaning of other cards when they are talking about doing something, so that Magician’s ‘do’ phrase is extraneous. This makes Eight of Cups translate ‘doesn’t,’ a negative modifier, which isn’t its real function. An action card (Six of Pentacles in this case) modified by Eight of Cups ends up saying he isn’t paying, but the literal interpretation would be something like: ‘What he is doing is, he is not (fill in the other card’s meaningSix of Pentacles in this case).’ So ‘he isn’t paying his bills’ for Eight of Cups and Six of Pentacles … because we would not say ‘what he is doing is not paying his bills.’ Eight of Cups means ‘to avoid’ or ‘avoiding,’ and it would be equally awkward, language-wise, to say ‘What he is doing is avoiding paying.’ Eight of Cups says ‘ain’t doin’ it’ with Magician, but Eight of Cups, as I said, isn’t really a negator … that’s not his job as a rule.

Noticing things not usually noticed today. We are talking about change today: the change that is the effect from things not being done anymore, whether it’s not making payments anymore, not taking those pills anymore, to quit being the one to make the first move. We are talking also about the change that is about things beginning to happen: doing something about not paying bills on time; just doing it with no thought of reward; starting medical treatment and what a nice change; going out of your way to do the right thing, or take the initiative.

Tarot Readings for You for July 26, 2017 Wednesday©

Jul 25, 2017 by

She wants to peek in on the social life of her love interest whom she is realistic about. She is a student of Tarot Verbatim, so she asked me to enlarge on the application of the individual cards.

.

P. S.  I was engaged in delivering a 3-card spread, the usual analysis this site provides, and my word processing program decided to declare war and lose the document, so lost the techs could not find it in the cloud.  (Friends don’t let friends buy Dell.)  And, yes, I am now going through all those lessons I have written for you, more than 200 pages of them now, hoping to launch beginning in August.  So save your pennies for me.

My question:  What is going on between my love interest and his “friend”?
.

Ten of Wands – Seven of Cups – Ten of Pentacles

This is a relationship that is part of membership in a circle of mixed-up, dysfunctional, or screwed-up people, and it has lasted as long as it has precisely because it is not real and is out-of-control. These are three heavy cards, and they amplify one another. This looks like a hang-out that is deteriorating:

People who are, or who have, a problem. A circle of troubled folks. Trouble with other people, and other people are trouble. A complicated relationship. Accursed relatives, coworkers, neighbors, friends or associates. – Ten of Pentacles

Out of control, mixed-up, makes no sense, disorganized, messed-up … don’t know WHAT to do with it. – Seven of Cups

to the extreme. For a long time or it drags on forever. Too much. Tired of this. Depressing. Overwhelmed. [‘Overwhelmed’ picks up Seven of Cups’ ‘don’t know what to do with this’ meaning.] Ten of Wands maximizes its stable-mates, so it maximizes the group of mixed-up people. – Ten of Wands

.

.

Five of Swords – Ace of Pentacles – Ace of Cups

There’s a rivalry situation going on, and your man is winning with this woman’s cooperation. I am picturing office workers in a largish company, or even a pool hall, and some dame is the queen of the chics, so anyone she talks to has bragging (or strutting) rights in the social order.

Your person of interest is pictured as the bastard in Five of Swords, which also means rivalry – guys fighting for domination.

Ace of Pentacles is the main card for success, and for reward.

Ace of Cups is ‘the cooperation of’ and going along with something. Yes, it’s the true love card, but not with Five of Swords hanging around.

.

.

Eight of Cups – Hierophant – Nine of Pentacles

She has a life of her own without him. She is in her own world, minding her own business. Nothing official here, and physical contact has been cut off.

Nine of Pentacles – A woman minds her own business. She has a life, is in her own private world, and he isn’t part of it. She don’t need nobody.

Eight of Cups and Hierophant – Hierophant is the ‘real physical world, what shows, the official story, the paper thing, and commitment. It is also things being normal, harmless, and clean. Put it next to Eight of Cups and you add ‘not anymore’ to all of those. So they are not an item – it was over with before it began – or they are not an item anymore. Eight of Cups is ‘outta there,’ off the road, derailed and aborted.

.

.

Queen of Cups – Magician – Hermit

She sees him as a fellow who does things for her, and as someone who is a friend and not sexual.

Queen of Cups – She thinks of her man, or her view of anything, including a fellow. It’s about her view.

Magician – male who acts. What he does. The guy takes the initiative.

Hermit – A friend who helps. Someone who doesn’t have sex (or is monogamous or devoted (but not in this story: Five of Swords is definitive.)

Magician takes the initiative; Hermit comes to the other person. These two suggest he comes to her, she does not come to him. Nine of Pentacles supports that idea.

Notice out of 12 cards, there’s nothing about sex, and there are indications of not being sexual. Even an explanation for that: the membership in the crew. Bragging rights.

.

If I am correct about her being the queen of the crew, he isn’t her guy but a hanger-on. Are they having some kind of casual sexual contact? – maybe, but nothing ‘official.’

.

Once again, according to Tarot, she isn’t the reason your love interest isn’t with you, unless his whole world is the office or pool hall place, whatever it is, and he sublimates sexual feelings into being somebody in this herd. (He is not the herd bull, I am sure.)

Tarot Readings for You for July 13-14, 2017 Thursday-Friday©

Jul 12, 2017 by

We have two questions from the same person here, and this set is an example of Tarot saying ‘It’s all good.’ Yes, we have permission to share this with you.

.

You can Google any one, or any pair, of these Rider Waite Tarot cards and get more detail in their meanings from the archives of Tarot Verbatim™ here. Putting ‘Tarot Verbatim’ with the single-card meanings will narrow the search to more results from this site.

.

News! For those of you who are waiting for the Tarot Email Training:

I am just finishing Lesson 9, which will close the second month of Every-Friday emails that tour Tarot in depth with emotion. It comes complete with reference material for the individual-card phrases and for pairs of cards’ meanings. Nothing once-over-lightly here, and you only have to read it once to understand it – it’s written as clearly as I can. And I can!

.

Sign up for the newsletter (the pop-up) and you will get an invitation to start in August. You will also get for subscribing a Tarot reference book, 55 pages of deep and detailed how-to about the Rider Waite deck. The book will sell for $30 as an ebook later.

.

.

The category of life is:: Love

My first question is:: The person is male. This is a romantic relationship. He is not married. I am also not married. I have two questions. We have recently stopped communicating. I would like to know if he will come back.

Empress – Eight of Wands – Hermit

He comes to you to talk sincerely because you are gorgeous, his ideal sexy woman.

He comes to you sincerely – Hermit

to talk – Eight of Wands

because you are his ideal goddess, his beloved. – Empress

.

.

Nine of Pentacles – Two of Wands – Magician

He will take the initiative because you are doing fine without him.

The Girl minds her own business and is doing fine – Nine of Pentacles

so what will happen is: – Two of Wands

the Boy makes the move, takes the initiative.

.

.

King of Wands – Moon – Two of Swords

He puts an end to his angst by being Your Man.*

He puts an end – Two of Swords

to his frustration, his irritation, his suffering – Moon

by being your ‘husband,’ your man. – King of Wands

.

.

Knight of Cups – Hierophant – Five of Pentacles

He comes to you as your Warm Puppy, to commit and to ‘behave,’ because he misses you so.

It’s miserable being without you – Five of Pentacles

so here he comes as your seductive nice guy, showing his affection – Knight of Cups

in the most traditional, official way possible. – Hierophant

.

Note 3 out of 4 spreads contain one of the theme cards of him taking the initiative or ‘he comes to the other person’ – Hermit, Magician, Knight of Cups.

Note also you are the gorgeous dame who minds her own business and is not interested in his. There’s your recipe.

.

.

.

.

My second question is:: The person is male. This is a romantic relationship. He is not married. I am also not married. We have recently stopped communicating. Will he and I ever get married?

.

.

Judgment – Knight of Wands – World

He hurries back to you for a new life because you are gorgeous and you don’t acknowledge him at all.

You are the superior beauty who doesn’t know he exists – World

so he rushes back to you – Knight of Wands

for a renewal, and a new life. – Judgment

.

.

King of Wands – Seven of Swords – Ten of Cups

He dares to be your husband in a happy marriage.

He dares to – Seven of Swords

be your husband – King Wands

in a happily-ever-ever marriage. – Ten of Cups

*Now King of Wands means ‘husband’ because of the presence of one of the positive marriage cards, Ten of cups.

King of Swords – Chariot – Queen of Cups

You’re the sweet loyal loving wife type person so he chooses to be your big strong man.

He decides he is the responsible … – Chariot

responsible grown-up head-of-the-family John Wayne type man – King of Swords

because you are the sweet li’l gal who understands him and still believes in him. – Queen of Cups

.

.

Eight of Wands – Ace of Wands – Queen of Wands

He tells you all about how you have to be his wife.

He tells you all about how – Eight of Wands

you have to be – Ace of Wands

his wife. – Queen of Wands

.

[King of Wands and Queen of Wands are the main ‘married couple’ in Tarot Verbatim™, and King of Wands appeared with a marriage card … which makes this a very official answer.]

.

Remember, you can look these cards up in Google by typing in a single one with ‘Tarot Verbatim’ after it, or just type in the names of any pair. You will get the archives of Tarot Verbatim.

Tarot Readings for You for July 12, 2017 Wednesday© Email Reading

Jul 11, 2017 by

Here’s an email reading, with her permission, of a lady who has washed the last man out of her hair and mistrusts the next candidate for her love. We have all been there, and this is a frequent question psychics answer. My best talent is getting into the head, heart, gut and soul of anyone you are dealing with – whether it’s love (which it often is) or business or friendship or family, or even an investigation.

.

You can have a reading for yourself that is done the way you see here – illustrated and word for word – by checking out the email reading navigation tab up there.

(AND by the way, I have finished a month’s worth of Tarot Email Training. If you joined the newsletter, you have heard about this. The techs are working on the actual delivery of the project. There’s a 55-page book that goes with the first month when you sign up. It will sell as it is for thirty bucks later, but there will be two more volumes to it. It is VERY hands-on. Be thinking about it.)

Tarot Readings for You for July 1-2, 2017 Weekend©

Jun 30, 2017 by

GUIDANCE     Advice when cleaning a room that is a complete mess is to start anywhere – just pitch in and do it. Today I apply that principle to other tasks: When in doubt because there are so many possibilities, just do anything and see what happens. Go fromSo many things to do, where do I start?” to “I didn’t think I could get all that done.”

.

.

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in!

People love this place! Our site is divided into three sections: Guidance; Group Tarot Cards Readings; Learn Tarot by Observing and Learn Tarot by Pictures.

So what do you want to do? –

Did you come here for YOUR PREDICTIONS? daily trends? –

*Then you read the summary above, titled GUIDANCE,

*Then you read the one-sentence readings below titled GROUP TAROT CARDS READINGand you’re done: See you tomorrow. Invite your friends. At the very bottom are comments. New! – the black boxes to the right as you scroll down allow you to comment right there.

GROUP TAROT CARDS READING is the actual word-for-word messages from the pictures of the three cards you see – to everyone. These readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. So, go ahead and pick the sentences you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them for yourself. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.

Tarot Readings: Seven of Pentacles and Seven of Cups

.. …..

What if I break it?

Such a mess I dunno where to start.

Asking myself how on earth they did that.

Why, oh, why, did I space out and do that?

Thinking of all sorts of ways this can be done.

You do everything you can think of or imagine.

How many things can one person do at a time?

There’s some scandal about what he may have done.

When nothing makes sense, just do something and figure it out.

.

Tarot Readings: Seven of Pentacles and Magician

.. … ..

I wonder what I did when I was drunk.

What do I do when it breaks into pieces?

How the heck did I pull THAT off, I wonder.

Wonder what to do with this ocean of raw data.

You don’t really know what to doyou’re so confused.

What is one supposed to do when everything falls apart?

You just wonder what to do, now that all hell broke loose.

I didn’t know what I was doing, and now look at this mess.

I guess they will take action when the whole thing falls apart.

.

Tarot Readings: Seven of Cups and Magician

I think that man is crazy.

You think you’re going to do it all.

When in doubt, just do anything at all.

So many things to do, where do I start?

Wonder what to do in these crazy times.

Wild and crazy action of some sort here.

How can a hellraiser like him get stuff done?

Uh, I think poltergeists must have done that.

We are pretty sure we have done this every way it can possibly be done.

.. ….. …     .

.

.

Now, Part Two,

Did you come here to ACCESS YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS? –

*Then you read HERE ARE PHRASES FOR ALL THREE 2-CARD COMBINATIONS – resonates with your subconscious awareness! – and you’re done.

Did you come here to RESEARCH CARD MEANINGS? –

*Then you go to LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING and LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES for single card meanings and for what those cards say today as they get along with their companion cards, which is important for Tarot Verbatim™, whose expertise is combinations of Tarot cards’ meanings.

*Then you go to Now we show where each of the phrases in each of the sentences comes from: for phrases individual cards make in the day’s sentences. This applies the knowledge.

*Then you read HERE ARE PHRASES FOR ALL THREE 2-CARD COMBINATIONS – resonates with your subconscious awareness! for language created by each pair of Rider Waite Tarot cards, in Tarot Verbatim™. Now you are done, if you chose to do it all. Comments are at the very bottom.

Did you come for combined meanings of other cards than these?

*Then you can put names of any two cards into Google, and get their combined meanings. You can also write in one card followed by ‘Tarot Verbatim,’ and get paragraphs of meanings for it.

GET A SINGLE CARD’S MEANINGS: TYPE ITS NAME AND ‘TAROT VERBATIM’ INTO GOOGLE

.

Seven of PentaclesHe doesn’t know whether his cucumber plant has an opposite-gender plant nearby enough so they both can bear fruit. Some plants are like that, and you never know unless you plant a bunch of them yourself. This Seven of Pentacles card is commonly called ‘doubt about the outcome’ in Tarot books. In Tarot Verbatim, it is one of the ‘duh’ cards (like Page of Cups). Duh cards are when you wonder, when you don’t know, when you ask ‘why.’

.

Seven of Cups represents when you’re not sure, but you think so. It is about figuring it out too, and it often indicates a question being asked.

Seven of CupsSeven of Cups too is about confusion and not knowing, but Seven of Cups is a situation that’s in-your-face: Something or everything is out of control. The picture shows miscellaneous items all over the place, and that is one of Seven of Cups’ main meanings. It often means pieces of things. Today we have: all sorts of ways, many things at a time, an ocean of raw data, and ‘every way it can possibly be done.’ The sorcerer has lost control of the spirits because he is only an apprentice – think the movie ‘Fantasia.’ All hell breaks loose.

.

This illustration also represents Pandora’s Box. The veiled and framed in red cup represents the good spirit that was loosed after the bad ones escaped in that story, so there is always hope no matter how messed-up things are at the moment.

.

The sudden surprise of the loosed mischievous spirits gives Seven of Swords meanings like: surprise, shock, scandal.

Magician You see the magician using his tools (which are the suits of Tarot) to bring about something. His right hand reaches for some energy above, and his left hand points earthward to ground the operation. So Magician is mainly about doing, getting something done, bringing something about.

.

Since the card is a ‘1,’ it stands for the male principle, which in esoteric cultures means ‘active,’ so Magician will translate any form of the verb ‘to act.’ This male principle concept also makes Magician translate male pronouns. It also will translate first-person pronouns like ‘i’ and ‘myself.’

.

As the ‘1,’ Magician is a beginning, so the card often says ‘to start’ or ‘initiate.’

.

As a card that means ‘do,’ Magician gets absorbed into other verbs and just contributes a pronoun to your spread. Today ‘I break’ reflects the breaking into pieces of Seven of Cups, leaving just the ‘I’ for Magician to claim.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

. .. … .      .

. ….. ..

Two of our cards express doubt ( Seven of Pentacles), uncertainty (both Seven of Pentacles and Seven of Cups), and things out of control ( Seven of Cups). The other one is decisive action, Magician. So a lot of our sentences are about not knowing what to do and about taking action when things are a mess.

.

Seven of Pentacles’ ‘ I don’t know’ hitches up with Magician’s ‘ start’ meaning, ‘ I don’t know where to start.’ Seven of Pentacles is so easy to work with: Besides meaning ‘ I don’t know,’ it also says ‘I think’ and similar phrases. You can put either one of those meanings into just about any sentence.

.

Then there’s Seven of Cups and Magician which also blend well: That man is crazy, doing several things at once, all kinds of ways to do it, what I did when I was drunk, I smash it into pieces, what to do when things fall apart, and I made a mess of things.

.

When things are a mess, just do something – anything. That’s mostly what we advise today.

. …. . .     .

There are those moments when anything could happen and the dust hasn’t settled yet, and we just do something. At such moments, any action can be better than not doing anything. You figure the chaos out later.
