Tarot Readings for You for January 4, 2015 Sunday©

GUIDANCE      What a beautiful thing a meeting of the minds is! Consensus is king when a situation escalates into crisis territory. What a beautiful relationship (personal, business or even potentially adversarial) you have when parties to it are each keeping an eye out for upcoming pitfalls, mishaps and threats to whatever is ongoing between them. I explain to clients that soon after it begins, a relationship has a third party; and that third party is the relationship itself. One party wants the relationship one way, and the other party wants the opposite. So if you and me agree to protect the relationship, we reduce friction points between us … the pointy points are less thorny – are not so personal anymore – when we have that mentality. Sometimes clarifying the issues we are at odds with settles them – often because, when the issue is expressed precisely, we see the silly side of it. Then you have a consensus by embarrassment.

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in!

Germs are transferred when you meet with people.

We have a rushed or out-of-town meeting to do something disgraceful.

Now, Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined meanings of the three cards in the pictures in the Tarot Readings.  It explains how these cards get together in your mind to make the messages. HERE ARE PHRASES FOR ALL THREE 2-CARD COMBINATIONS is a stream-of-consciousness bridge to your subconscious if you use it regularly – people report.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – than a personal reading would give you. Also, pronouns are flexible: If the sentence feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ but you’re a ‘she,’ well, it’s yours.

*AND if you write names of any two cards into the Google search bar, it will give you meanings of those!

.……………….………..………..

Moon – Three of Pentacles – Knight of Swords

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

……………….……………………      Moon is an uh-oh card: You look for a relief or rescue card to negate its influence, like you would look around for someone to come up and rescue you from an attention-vampire at a stand-up cocktail party. Three of Pentacles is the stand-up cocktail party: people meeting together. And here comes Knight of Swords, God bless him – popping up to turn things around, and you escape. You could designate Knight of Swords the relief or rescue card here. There is an urgency to the combination of these three Rider Waite Tarot cards because both Moon and Knight of Swords mean ’emergency.’ Our general theme today is averting problems and getting out of trouble. It is upbeat overall.

………………………..      Moon, I privately think of as ‘maximum fuckedupness’ because that’s what it expresses feels like: the worst, the worst case scenario. You can think of the Moon card as a fatalist too: It identifies how bad it can get. Moon, therefore, can mean cancer and hate and panic – scary things that are real and either here now or about to be. You pay attention to Moon. It can mean germs, contamination or pollution, toxins, conspiracies and crimes (including high crimes), and it can represent an oppositional attitude. If it accompanies another scary card (or a cluster of them), things are bad. For example, if you see Moon with Seven of Swords, you consider whether a death is murder. Moon is the shadow, the dark side, of anything.

Moon’s illustration shows two ‘evil towers’ that are in some tradition the entrance to hell, so Moon is ‘the road to hell’ in the same way that Ace of Pentacles, ‘the right road’ is the straight-and-narrow that leads to heaven. The lobster embarking on a land journey and the dog and coyote hanging out together (they are enemies) are how the illustration expresses Moon’s meaning.

………………………..      Three of Pentacles says ‘We are in this together’ – a relationship of any kind. It often shows how similar love relationships are to business transactions. I find that fascinating and amusing. Three of Pentacles today is teamwork, is putting heads together, working it out, meeting for a purpose, is each party doing his part, is dealing with people, or the deal itself. Note how Three of Pentacles can also translate: them, they, us, we.

Three of Pentacles’ illustration has a builder-architect demonstrating, with the blueprint, that the building, the cathedral, was built according to specs. He gets the major portion of his pay when they agree to sign off and settle up. Many of the meanings that grow out of this illustration, we are not using today.

………………………..      Knight of Swords is The Lone Ranger today, one of his titles. He has several categories of meanings, and you look to other cards to see who he is being today in your spread. Today he is the turning point. Today he says things like ‘not again’ and ‘not anymore.’ He also says ‘again.’ He means a switch, so he can say both these opposite things without contradicting himself. His main meaning usually is about fast, quick, speed, and so on. When joined by Moon, you think of paramedics, or anything that rushes over when beans have spilled or there’s blood on the floor.

……….………….      Moon and Three of Pentacles      Moon and Three of Pentacles together suggest a meeting of evildoers, or meeting about a problem, or trouble that brings people together to work out a solution. Something bad could happen at a meeting with these two cards too. They could also be about getting feelings hurt in a relationship. They say ‘bad relationship,’ or a relationship with a hateful or demented person, thing or animal. Yes, Moon means demented too. Today, people meet to handle the problem Moon represents, or the people you are dealing with are the problem. x..

……….………….      Moon and Knight of Swords      Moon and Knight of Swords combine an energetic rush into, or out of, ‘the worst that could happen.’ When you see Moon, you look for such a card. Moon is trouble, and Knight of Swords is ‘get out of,’ although you have to look around to see whether Knight of Swords is meaning ‘get into’ this time, because he is a switch from one to the other. Today, with Three of Pentacles in the middle of these two, we are working it out, settling, negotiating, coming together to handle it. As I said above, talking about Knight of Swords as The Lone Ranger, “When joined by Moon, you think of paramedics, or anything that rushes over when beans have spilled or there’s blood on the floor.” But getting out of a bad thing need not be an external situation: Moon and Knight of Swords together also say “I’m not the mess I used to be, anymore.” It should be noted that EACH of these cards, Moon and Knight of Swords, means ’emergency.’ x..

……..……………      Three of Pentacles and Knight of Swords      Three of Pentacles and Knight of Swords cover an arena of possible scenarios since Three of Pentacles is any relationship or meeting, and Knight of Swords is a change in that. We get together to get out of this, or we get together to inaugurate this. Knight of Swords can be an emergency, so you have an emergency, or rushed, meeting, or an emergency that happens in a meeting: a crisis, probably a sudden one because, of course, Knight of Swords is all about speed and ‘suddenly’ is one of his pet words. These two cards also describe leaving a meeting in a hurry (possibly in a huff?) or rushing into a meeting. x..

Nothing trifling here: We are looking at severe situations, big problems. Some people attune to impending, or to already-happened, disasters: They rush in and make it their business to set things aright. The storm-troopers. The paramedics. Some people are dedicated to creating big trouble: We look at them too – at the solutions to their mischief. We look at people who have made relationship trouble for themselves and are getting together to patch things up and/or to prevent them from happening. We also look at relationships that work because the parties are wise to the slip-ups and have done their prevention-homework ahead of time.

What a thing of beauty is a meeting of minds!: Whatever situation you are in with another party, or other parties, you guys know what might happen that’s not-so-good. You agree (a consensus, a meeting of the minds) to head it off, and there’s no problem. We look at situations where there’s no such agreement (Let me outta here!) and we look at agendas of ill-will, and we look at heading off impending mistakes or troubles or problems after the fact. The focus of our topic here is: The bad stuff is less likely to happen to people who get together realistically to ward it off or prevent it.

.

Moon    ……..      Moon’s illustration clearly depicts the worst case scenario by: (1) Those towers that, according to some pertinent tradition, guard the gates to hell, (2) the lobster embarking on a land journey (doomed – it needs a water environment), (3) coyote consorting with dog – they are natural enemies. ‘This is as bad as it gets,’ Moon is telling you in your spread. It’s a scary card that, at its least, means an oppositional attitude, and at its worst means penultimately awful things like cancer, death, high crimes, pollution or contamination with toxins, conspiracies, and panic or terror.

.

Three of Pentacles     ………….  You see an architect-builder demonstrating with the blueprint, to his clients, that he followed that blueprint and is entitled to his final draw, which constitutes his profit. Three of Pentacles is settling up with people, putting heads together with people, a contract, a business transaction, or a personal relationship (which, yes, includes love relationships). Three of Pentacles if often a team or teamwork, is working it out together, is each person doing his or her part, is dealing with other people, and is the deal itself. Note how this card simply translates plural pronouns: we, they, us, them.

.

Knight of Swords     ………….     If you think of this card as a turning point and as making a switch from one (whatever) to the other, you will apply it best. Its main application most of the time is being in a hurry, rush, speed, fast, quick, etc. Its secondary application is: turning point, switching from one (whatever) to the other, and even contradiction

Its secondary application is: turning point, switching from one (whatever) to the other, and even contradiction.

Tarot Readings for You for October 3, 2013 Thursday(c)

Oct 2, 2013 by

Guidance    is about recognizing we are in a bad situation and getting out of it as quickly as we can one way or the other, which includes changing the mind along with the direction. It’s all about turnaround, and how sometimes it takes a mistake or a bad scene to make us realize we are heading in the wrong direction.  When our recipe fails each time, we have to think.  She sees her man again making the same wreck of things and coming back.

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in!

People love this place! Our site is divided into four sections: Guidance, Tarot Readings, Learn Tarot by Observation, and Learn Tarot by Pictures.

If you just want your daily look ahead, Guidance and Tarot Readings are all you need. ‘Guidance’ (above) is a summary of what the cards are telling visitors to be aware of this day.

‘Group Tarot Cards Reading’ (just below this) is the actual word-for-word messages to everyone. These readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. So, go ahead and pick the sentences you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them for yourself.

Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow. The family of commenters here would love for you to join in (the very last thing, at the bottom).

She changes her mind back and forth about whether that isn’t the right way.

This disgusting circumstance continues, so she figures it’s time to get the heck out.

It’s one bad scene after another, so she is of a mind to leave immediately.

Like a bad penny, he keeps coming back to the lady who understands him.

She is the wrong woman to keep leaving and coming back to: She is catching onto her guy.

She knows it’s bad for her but keeps going back to it.

She is so sweet, kind, loyal and understanding – seeing the best in people – that life continues to be one damn thing after another.

Round-and-round, back-and-forth is a bad way to be thinking.

You see yet another change for the worse coming.

She sees her man making the same wreck of things over and over, and coming back.

Recurring nightmare that the woman who has you all figured out is coming back.

Tarot Verbatim: Illness Coming Back (Moon and Two of Pentacles)

Maybe your thinking is disordered again.

You think lightly of ailments, so you get over them quickly.

Tarot Readings: She Knows the Bad Road (Queen of Cups and Moon)

She gets lost and decides on one change of direction after another.

You know you are lost when you go back and forth over and over the same scene.

She knows this twisting, turning, dangerous road.

Now,  Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the messages.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the four cards, by itself, has to say.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.

Knight of Swords

Two of Pentacles – Queen of Cups – Moon

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Here we have the ‘worst card in the deck,’ and not one but two cards that mean ‘to change back and forth; and the remaining card is the sweet gal. Hmmm.

Moon stands out like a cuss word. ‘Worst card in the deck’ is its rep. It shows ‘The Left-hand Path.’ It means ‘wrong’ and ‘evil,’ and shows the road to hell. Despair, depression, hopeless …. Yes, it has some desirable meanings – The Muse type things – but mostly it stands out like the cuss word in a news report. Often it’s about mental or physical disease; it can indicate cancers. It will stand in for any disaster, and calls up the word ‘horrible’ too. Rot, stench, filth, decay, malignancy, hate, psychopathy, murder and other hate crimes.

Then you notice two of the other cards both mean ‘back and forth.’ *Two of Pentacles also means quite a few other things: continuing; up and down; round and round; on and on; either/or, neither/nor; queasy and dizzy; unstable and undecided; can go either way; silliness; upheaval (the ships tossed behind him); performance (the juggler); cycles; repetitive movement, and things like fumbling around. *Knight of Swords is in hot pursuit in the picture. He means to be in a hurry, a rush, suddenly, to speed, to turn around and go back, and also to flee (depending on other cards that aspect Knight of Swords). He can produce the phrase ‘gets back to you’ in a social transaction. He is advice to ‘get out of there’ at times.

The remaining card we have to make our sentences with is Queen of Cups, The Nice Girl. Her main meanings are: to understand, to opine, to think, to dream, to contemplate something; she figures out; sweet kind loyal woman who understands her man, has faith in him. Queen of Cups indicates his woman is loyal to him, and is advice to think about (whatever).

Sometimes (Two of Pentacles) things have to get really, really nasty (Moon) before we understand what is going on (Queen of Cups) and get out of there (Knight of Swords).

In relationship questions, Queen of Cups is the woman who loves, and Knight of Swords is the guy who leaves or comes back … or comes and goes.

A bad dream comes back with Moon and Knight of Swords. Or you get over a serious difficulty or ailment quickly. Or someone’s in a rush on the road to hell. See how the literal meanings work together?

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

.

Two of Pentacles reminds me of telling my little brother “Light somewhere” because he was always flying around, fidgeting. Exaggerated waves tossing ships, behind the juggler, mean continuing motion that is non-directional, like a wheel’s. The math sign for repeating numbers (also called the eternity sign) connects the plates he juggles, and means ‘on and on.’ Other Two of Pentacles applications are: either/or, neither/nor; queasy and dizzy; unstable and undecided; can go either way; silliness; upheaval. Two of Pentacles often supplies ‘continuing’ or ‘continues.’

Queen of Cups is the sweet-kind-loyal-understanding-‘faith in her man’ lady we all know – a decent and oft devout person. Queen of Cups means: to think, to figure out, to dream. She is Eric Hoffer’s ‘true believer.’ She contemplates an artifact while water floods around her, water that signifies being emotional (as in ‘water in your chart’ in astrology).

Moon has a bad reputation in Tarot Land.  It translates ‘horrible’ frequently. It signifies ‘The Left-Hand Path’ in occult parlance; and that is what the illustration shows.  That means ‘evil’ or ‘the road to hell’ to us civilians.  The words it calls up are most often:  wrong, mistake, bad, worst, nightmare, fear, illness, insanity, mortality, malignant, hate, hopeless. The (purple) lobster is going on a land journey; the dog and coyote (natural enemies) are palling together; the two towers mean something evil; and there’s the full and new moon as well.

Knight of Swords rushes in full speed ahead and is engaged in pursuit.  That is the full formal meaning.  But in real life it also means to flee (as in ‘get out of Dodge’) and to switch back and forth, and to change direction, or change (anything).  You find Knight of Swords saying ‘suddenly’ or ‘immediately,’ and indicating something is a rush, too. Whatever meaning applies, it will always be sudden or in a hurry.  His illustration shows the fully armed knight flying on his horse with his sword extended and a predator’s intensity of expression on his face and in his body language.

Our Daily Spread November 18, 2012 Sunday©

Nov 17, 2012 by

Guidance    Sometimes two bad influences oppose one another, cancel one another out. ‘Bad’ cards do that too in Tarot Verbatim (TM) which is language-based. We make a mistake and we aren’t going back there again. We don’t want to be addicted or sick any more, so we are holding out against that. We don’t want to speed on the road or do something too fast because it did not work out before. Pay attention to road hazards in the next few days, since three of four of our cards in this spread with ‘bad’ cards include road subjects.

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in! People love this place! Full instructions are at the bottom.

Guidance and the Tarot Readings are for you if you just want your daily look ahead. “Guidance” is the summary, followed by your word for word Tarot Readings from the four Rider Waite Tarot cards you see pictured here. Pick the sentences that you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them. Sentences contradict one another because negative cards, in this group reading with no question, can attach to any of the other three cards.

GROUP ANALYTICAL TAROT CARDS READING

Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.

Headings [So you can choose which belongs to you]

Tarot Readings: Left-handed Affirmations (Four of Cups + Moon)

Tarot Readings: I’m Not Going to Again (Four of Cups + Knight of Swords)

Tarot Readings: Speeding or Driving Fast (Moon + Knight of Swords)

Tarot Readings: Being Very Wrong (Moon)

Tarot Readings: Left-handed Affirmations (Four of Cups + Moon)

I am not afraid, I am not going to run.

It was not scary this time to say ‘No.’

I didn’t get lost, I didn’t have to double back.

I’m not going to let myself go back to being addicted: No way!

If you don’t hit bottom, you can’t make a comeback.

I am not wrong, I refuse to change.

I am not mistaken, I refuse to take it back.

Refusing to go back is not a mistake.

Will not wreck if you do not speed.

That s*** is not going to happen here another time.

Hellbent and won’t let anything stop (us).

I don’t believe there’s no way this disease will go away.

I don’t believe that getting out of this morass can’t be done.

You can’t stop me, I’m leaving the mess behind.

Prevent a relapse of the ailment by refusing to let myself go there.

None of that poison will get through the barrier.

Don’t deny the dark side, it will just come back at you.

Tarot Readings: I’m Not Going to Again (Four of Cups + Knight of Swords)

Not going back to that awful place – no way.

Not going to make that mistake again, there won’t be another time.

I didn’t exactly fail, but I’m not going to go back there to have another go at it.

I am in no hurry to deny it’s serious.

Wrong again! But I won’t let that stop me.

It isn’t impossible, but I could not do that again.

Tarot Readings: Speeding or Driving Fast (Moon + Knight of Swords)

You don’t want to take the limited access high-speed road.

Don’t want to take a road that is in disrepair, you can’t drive fast on it.

I can’t see at night, so I can’t go very fast.

Disregards the stop sign and speeds the wrong way on the road.

The road is impassible, there’s no way to get through.

Such a dangerous speed that nothing will stop you.

Tarot Readings: Can’t Shut It Out (Two of Swords + Four of Cups)

Can’t shut a repeating nightmare out.

It’s horrible, I can’t block it out, it comes back.

Tarot Readings: Being Very Wrong (Moon)

Will get in trouble again, I can’t deny that.

Won’t take ‘No’ for an answer and it turns ugly.

Can’t resist doing it all wrong again.

Can’t refuse another one, but it’s bad for me ….

No way this isn’t a return of the baddest times.

It’s wrong but I just can’t say ‘No’ again.

Can’t deny I was afraid and I ran.

I was wrong, I can’t stonewall, I take it back.

I was in a hurry and I made a mistake – can’t deny that.

Ignores all input to the contrary and proceeds pellmell into a fearful spot.

There’s nothing stopping us from sinning again.

Four of Cups

Two of Swords – Moon – Knight of Swords

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

We have three ‘bad’ cards and one that literally means it can go either way! Luckily, Two of Swords and Four of Cups have a synchronicity between them: They mean so many things like ‘can’t refuse’ and ‘not going to stop’ that they operate, often, as a positive. Moon is any awful thing you can think of.

‘Bad’ cards tend to cancel one another out. This spread is a study in that. With Moon being a very bad thing, Two of Swords means to block it or it can’t get through, and Four of Cups means to refuse it and, once again, it doesn’t get through.

That leaves Moon not expressing itself fully, being dampered – which is a good thing. So the theme of our spread is dealing with the dark side by putting an end to its malefic influence.

Moon shows a road; Knight of Swords is speeding on a road; Two of Swords is a roadblock so pay attention to road hazards in the next few days

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

Two of Swords A seated person is passive, in symbolism. Blindfolded expresses some disability regarding a situation, of course. The crossed arms with swords indicates not using the tools at hand – again being unable or blocked. Sitting on a stone bench in a nightshirt with your back to still water says nothing is doing here. Impasse, roadblock ….

Moon symbolizes ‘Left-hand Path,’ which is occult-speak for evil. A coyote and dog are together, a lobster is going on a land journey, and those two towers have some evil significance too. Moon is about the dark side, the worst of anything, bad times, bad anything. It can mean inspiration … the muse … rarely.

Knight of Swords Speeding, in a hurry, pursuing, switching directions, rushing, pellmell, avid, hurtling, etc. Sometimes he is fleeing, but it has to be some other card’s idea. This is one of the ‘changing’ cards too: a change of directions. Put a mental card by it and it’s changing its mind. His stance is militant: hurtling forward, blade extended, wind rushing, horse flying.

Four of Cups ain’t interested. Refuses every time it’s offered. Doesn’t want any. What part of ‘no’ do you not understand? Head is averted, both arms and legs crossed, and three cups are sitting there unused as a fourth is offered. Easy to understand Four of Cups’ meaning.

I N S T R U C T I O N S  &  Explanations  (Comments are below this.)

Did you come here just for your predictions? – If so, you are done when you finish reading the sentences of Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading.

Each Tarot sentence is a literal-interpretation reading of the scenes pictured on the four cards you see. Only what each of the cards says – phrase by phrase – no fillers – no psychic ability used. The readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. Tarot, all by itself, talks to you. This is a demonstration of that .

Tarot will address any group flexibly, as it does here of ‘all the visitors.’ (It can address ‘all the people at work who have a say in my raise,’ for instance, without you knowing who or where those people are.)

Horoscopes are group readings too.

Astrology has to be based on someone else’s birth data, though, so it does not solidly apply to you just because of where the sun was when you were born. (Astrologers know this.)

Emily wants to know whether these sentences are more accurate for regular visitors than for people who have come only a few times. Would you help with a comment, if that is who you are? Please?

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things,  especially when the Spread has a card that means ‘no, never or not.’ That negative modifier can apply to any one of the cards.

Without a question also the pronouns (you, him, her, me, us, them, they, etc.) in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute.  Notice how, as much as possible, we drop pronouns, which makes for some awkward phrasing.

The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information! In a ‘real’ reading, the parties are identified (including the gender of the questioner!), and so is the time frame if there is one. In this group reading, we cannot do that, so we have variety.

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim ™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing. This tells the thinking regarding the combined four pictures in the Daily Spread –  the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the message.

*Go to Learn Tarot by the Pictures.  This is the meaning of each separate card.  This is how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in this Spread.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim ™ works. Regular visitors actually learn to read Tarot without trying. The Tarot Talks tab has some examples for students.

P. S. Call Emily for your personal live reading at 800 99 3 6 9 12 (from Eastern 1 p. m. to Eastern 1 a. m. at least, every day). Emily analyzes relationships in business situations and personal situations accurately from *Tarot, *intuitive, and *practical perspectives. She tells you what is happening and what to do about it to make it happen best. (Testimonials about this are on the web site http://EmilysInsight.com and here under its Tab, and in Comments.)

Is this the first time you come here?  Well  …  what to do:

*Go to Advice,  above,  to apply what those sentences say to you.  (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.)

*Go to Daily Message Tarot Analysis below.   One or more of those sentences has something to say to you.  Pick those out.  They are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it.  (It is a group message like a horoscope,  except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data,  so it can be specific,  accurate,  detailed and direct.  Our experiment here is  “How much more accurate is it?”)

Did you come here for your predictions? –  You are done now –  See you tomorrow.

Ugh.  Look at that.  The Moon,  a/k/a  ‘The worst card in the deck,’  and two cards that both mean  ‘to change back and forth.’  And the remaining card is the sweet-kind-loyal-understanding-‘faith in her man’  Queen of Cups!  She means to opine,  to think,  to figure out,  to dream of  …  so I have taken a little liberty and dropped the  ‘she’  application to favor the ‘concept’ application.  It’s not really breaking the rules.

Two of Pentacles is the up-and-down,  back-and-forth,  round-and-round , either/or,  neither/nor queasy and dizzy unstable and undecided little card.  Knight of Swords means to go back and forth.  (It is one of those cards you look first to the cards surrounding it to determine its function in the spread because it also can mean to flee or to pursue or to change or to change back or to  ‘get out of Dodge.’)

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS

Two of Pentacles reminds me of telling my little brother  “Light somewhere”  because he was always flying around,  fidgeting.  It is in some continuing motion that is nondirectional,  so you see waves behind the juggler,  and ships tossed on the water.  It is about cycles,  repeating cycles especially,  as symbolized by the  ‘eternity’  sign of math that is drawn around the juggler’s balls.

Queen of Cups is the sweet-kind-loyal-understanding-‘faith in her man’  lady we all know.  She means to opine,  to think,  to figure out,  to dream of.  This is often the devout conventional stereotype.  She is illustrated holding admiringly a grotesque doo-dad while water snakes around her throne –  the water that signifies being emotional (as in ‘water in your chart’ in astrology).

Moon has a bad reputation in Tarot Land.  It signifies ‘The Left-Hand Path’ in occult parlance;  and that is what the illustration shows.  That means ‘evil’ to us civilians.  The words it calls up are most often:  wrong,  mistake,  bad,  worst,  nightmare,  fear,  illness,  insanity,  mortality,  malignant,  hate,  hopeless.  The lobster is going on a land journey,  the dog and coyote are together,  the two towers mean something evil,  and there’s the full and new moon as well.

Knight of Swords rushes in full speed ahead and is engaged in pursuit.  That is the full formal meaning.  But in real life it also means to flee (as in ‘get out of Dodge’) and to switch back and forth,  and changing or turning around.  Whatever meaning applies,  it will always be sudden or in a hurry.  His illustration shows the fully armed knight flying on his horse with his sword extended and a predator’s intensity of expression on his face and in his body language.
