Nine of PentaclesIt’s noon already and you are in your vineyard training your falcon, and wearing an elaborate leisure robe with matching hat … clearly beholden to no one, with that snail at your feet emphasizing that message. This illustration personifies the independent single woman who owns her space, and is likely to successful in her own right, likely to own land and/or a business, and to have an entrepreneurial bent. “I don’t need nobody” is her song. She is famous for minding her own business and having business to mind. Nine of Pentacles is one of the cards that indicates a ‘don’t call me, I’ll call you’ personality or situation.

.

Privacy belongs to Nine of Pentacles, and being detached. Nine of Pentacles is content and (like Queen of Wands) has an organized and under-control daily life. Nine of Pentacles could be a head-screwed-on-straight woman of the ghetto who develops a skill and has made a life for herself right there. Nine of Pentacles has a niche – is often an expert or specialist at something or another. She is a survivor. She is respected. Think Jackie Kennedy.

Fool It takes us a while to ‘get’ Fool in all his ramifications. Think “Oh, never mind.” I come to the conclusion that you can start with the concept of zero being the place-holder of the number system: It has no value of its own, and no ‘presence’ in that sense, but it affects and even determines the value of its neighbor numbers. Fool translates ‘nothing’ and similar words to that, and often expresses the absence of something – phrases like these: no worry, not in, not at, there are no, forget, don’t know, no idea, don’t care, hasn’t a clue, without even thinking, pays no attention. Of course, these phrases arise also from Fool being heedless about that cliff.

.

In a philosophical spread, or one that is scholarly in some way, Fool can be the theory or hypothesis. Fool can also be the zygote, the fertilized egg, the potential or potentiality.

.

Fool expresses things you would say with a shrug – sentiments like ‘somehow or another’ or ‘however.’

.

Fool also exemplifies youth: the heedless optimism, the fact it starts the number system.

.

Another significant side of Fool is the optimism, the devil-may-care attitude of skipping to the edge of a cliff or going on a journey without provisions dressed in a miniskirt. A key word here for Fool is ‘free.’ Free-spirited, free of (whatever), ‘water off a duck’s back.’ Fool is a beginning too (as the first number in the lexicon of them).

Six of CupsThis Six of Cups Tarot card has a lot of applications, a lot of phrases and meanings, that the illustration suggests. Once you get used to all or most of them, it’s a useful card because of the way it does blend and bring out the meanings of other cards. So Six of Cups is very much affected by its Tarot neighbors. Today, Fool brings out the aspects of youth and lighthearted good feeling, and Nine of Pentacles emphasizes its aspects of home and stable life.

.

First you see children in Six of Cups, and that includes childhood and being young or even youthful.

.

And you see the romance aspect, the tender love: Little Boy is Giving Little Girl Flowers. That ‘giving’ also brings gifts and giving to Six of Cups, and the giving especially applies to birthdays and Valentine’s Day.

.

It’s not just romance: Six of Cups covers friends and friendship. Since Six of Cups also refers to the past in a nostalgic sentimental way, it’s often old friends and old lovers – the high school sweetheart.

.

Yes, the past. The good old days especially. Fond memories.

.

The housing behind the children brings in a real estate theme and a home theme. Especially old, quaint, cozy houses, houses in a good neighborhood, or in a good neighborhood for children. Home Sweet Home stuff. Mellow home life. Gestures of affection.

.

Sweetness plays a large role in applying Six of Cups. Especially trust – being trustworthy, being a nice girl, nice boy. Six of Cups sometimes appears to tell you you can trust someone, or that you can trust a situation – that it is safe or at least harmless.

.

Six of Cups has a very strong mellowing influence in its spreads. It takes a lot of negative to apply it to something icky. You find themes of child abuse will use Sun instead for the child, even.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.. …..       ….

.

Six of Cups is the past and Fool is the beginning; both are youth. Six of Cups is the good old days and Fool is optimism for the moment.

Fool and Nine of Pentacles are both detached, free in their own space, but Fool is free of the space and Nine of Pentacles owns her space. Fool is heedless and reckless and Nine of Pentacles is the person who made a place for herself by being savvy.

.

Nine of Pentacles is the single solitary private life of a professional, and Six of Cups is the children that life does not include. Both Six of Cups and Nine of Pentacles are about a satisfying home and home life. They are both content with things as they are.

.

As you can see, this spread is alive with meaning, alive with stories. In the first set of sentences, Fool demonstrates how it frees up a person or a situation, and not necessarily frees from a circumstance that is unsavory. “ Free and independent when I was a kid,” for example. And ‘ Now that I’m single, I forget and have a really affectionate love life.’ But Fool does mean free from some less-desirable state. Here are a few examples of that, also taken from the first set of sentences: Get out from under home ownership and live in the old neighborhood.” “ Free of the past and comfortable right where I am.” And these three cards could advise: Don’t even think about being a single woman with children.

.

Nine of Pentacles is ‘ Mind your own business’ and Fool is ‘Don’t worry, be happy.’ Together, they advise that the way to be content in life is to stay out of other people’s.

Tarot Readings for You for June 27, 2014 Thursday(c)

Jun 26, 2014 by

Guidance      Opposites attract, we say: They have something to offer one another. A friend who counterbalances your inclinations comes in handy at times.  ‘Two of a kind’ … especially certain kinds … are too much, and can clash.  Today we look at a woman who is content and private, who may have ‘arrived’ but at least is established in one place, and a man who is a born host.  They complement one another because he is so flexible and supportive and she is so independent and centered in some interest other than in people.  She is a loner and he is a buddy: They do not get in one another’s way.  They do well in business and in personal life, just naturally.  One of the sentences implies no one knows he is the boss’ boyfriend, even.  We also discuss keeping your business to yourself.

.

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in!

People love this place! Our site is divided into four sections: Guidance, Tarot Readings, Learn Tarot by Observation, and Learn Tarot by Pictures.
If you just want your daily look ahead, Guidance and Tarot Readings are all you need. ‘Guidance’ (above) is a summary of what the cards are telling visitors to be aware of this day.

‘Group Tarot Cards Reading’ (just below this) is the actual word-for-word messages from the pictures of the four cards you see – to everyone. These readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. So, go ahead and pick the sentences you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them for yourself.

Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow. The family of commenter here would love for you to join in (the very last thing, at the bottom).

Tarot Readings: An Independent Woman and a Flexible Boyfriend (Nine of Pentacles and Knight of Cups)

I have no idea why I am so fond of women who can do without me.

She is content with things however they are: He is a charming lover.

A woman who rules her place is a silly young filly with her warm puppy boyfriend.

Don’t be too nice because the single women overlook you.

The man in love has no idea why she is doing so well without him.

He doesn’t worry about how detached she is: He accepts her.

Mr. Nice Guy has no worries about charming Mrs. Hard-to-Get.

Not a worry in the world when you’re single living alone and your boyfriend comes around to adore you.

Boyfriend is a free man; he comes to see her whenever he pleases.

He goes to her place as if it were nothing.

A good-natured man comes right up to businesswomen so naturally.

He is a softie: Let her control the turf, I don’t care.

You get single, forget and get a new affectionate guy.

She doesn’t even think of having a boyfriend; she enjoys life alone.

Staying at home, you won’t even know Prince Charming is here.

….……………………………..

Tarot Readings: A Friend Who Minds Her Own Business (Nine of Pentacles and Knight of Cups)

Don’t worry about that, she’s a friend who minds her own business.

My friends don’t know my business because I am so private.

I suspend my thinking and accept you as a loner.

A warm puppy type naturally gravitates to an entrepreneurial type.

They do not suspect he is a friend of the woman who owns the place.

I am an open-minded and impersonal friend.

.

Now,  Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the messages. HERE ARE PHRASES FOR ALL THREE 2-CARD COMBINATIONS  is a stream-of-consciousness bridge to your subconscious if you use it regularly – people report.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the four cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.

Nine of Pentacles – Knight of Cups – Fool

.

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

 .

….…………………………………..                   Interpersonal stories, here: We have two Tarot cards that in Rider Waite and Tarot Verbatim™ are free of other people, free of restrictions, and detached; and we have the warm supportive friendly person who takes the initiative to come to them, who likes them.

…………..…………..      Nine of Pentacles      is free of restrictions of other people, and enjoying her detachment. The snail and the falcon (Yes, that thing is supposed to be a falcon.) tell us she does things in her own sweet time. Her wearing an elaborate robe at midday tell us she does as she pleases. The vineyard tells us she has enough money. Nine of Pentacles is a presumed owner of home, business, turf and/or property. Even if she represents a person still in the ghetto, by golly, she is content and she has enough (or feels she does, which is what counts). She has presence; she occupies her space. Think Jackie Kennedy.

……..…….………..      Fool       Fool is free of everything. He isn’t even present (one of his meanings). Water off a duck’s back, as they say: Fool has not bought into anything, has nothing to get over (See how he has no provisions for his journey?) and not a care … not even about skipping off that cliff. He is oblivious: You know what they say about God protecting fools and drunks. Fool represents subconscious and spiritual approaches to life. Fool is being immune to circumstances, unimpressed by realities … and on your way to someplace you may not even know. Fool is faith, and trusting the moment. Fool is one of the upbeat cards, so these traits are more likely to be associated with good things than bad ones.

……..…………………………      Nine of Pentacles and Fool      So Nine of Pentacles and Fool are counterparts of one another. Today they are friends or lovers because it is Knight of Cups they both have in Tarot common, in our spread.

………….…………    Knight of Cups    can sell you that bridge because he has done you a favor. He is a warm puppy we all love. Mercury’s wings on his helmet symbolize his being the messenger, that he is bringing information as well as alliance. Knight of Cups introduces himself and buys you a drink (See the cup of friendship extended?).

….…..……………………….      Nine of Pentacles and Knight of Cups      Here we have the independent private loner of a woman, possibly an entrepreneurial one, and the flexible warmhearted sweet-natured (usually youngish) man. Prince Charming, meet the CEO. He can be Mary Kay’s vice-president or Elizabeth Taylor’s young man. She is staying put, and he is coming to her, like a boss and assistant would be, see? – or a famous beauty and the graduate.

.

.

So our story is about how people who are ‘set in their ways,’ who are ensconced in a niche, who have a life of their own that they enjoy mostly by themselves, will naturally be found with a person who is in a flexible stage in life, a person who has the time and inclination to join others in their ventures, support them, and supply a warm ambiance that independent people seldom exude.

.

Nine of Pentacles ……….       Minding your own business is an art that has two sides. One is keeping information about yourself from others; the other is not being curious … at all … about others’ information. Jackie Kennedy Onasis is a poster child for this. Being independent means not only not asking others for anything but also not giving others anything you don’t choose, yourself, to. Nine of Pentacles is the entrepreneurial spirit as well as the spirit of contentment with what you now, presently, already own. Nine of Pentacles does what she pleases within the scope of what she possesses, the property she owns right now.

.

Knight of Cups ………….       Some people are native to being magnets that attract other people. Knight of Cups is this stereotype. He is the ‘warm puppy,’ the buddy, and the boyfriend. He offers, he accepts, he introduces himself, and he makes the first move. He is also the one who brings information, the messenger. Mercury’s wings are on his helmet. Notice the artwork is curved lines and pastel colors: His horse is a merry-go-round horsey.
.

Fool……….       Oh, never mind. Water off a duck’s back. Fool, let’s face it, is not impressed. Fool is oblivious. Fool doesn’t care. God protects fools and drunks, and this Fool is counting on that insurance! Cliff? – what cliff? What Plan B … what’s Plan A … what’s a plan, anyway? Fool presents the idea that subconscious or spiritual approaches insulate one from reality. The fact that, in fact, they do is irrelevant.
