Tarot Readings for You for April 13-14, 2017 Thursday-Friday©

Apr 12, 2017 by

Here is another Email Reading. It’s from a past format. This one is a good example of why it is a good idea to say – in a romantic question – whether you and/or the other party are married. It shows how I can answer without that specification, and be right, though.

Question:  Hi Emily. Please can you have a look at my love life. I have been seeing someone for a while but it is complicated. Please can you see how he feels about me and if we have a future together. Many thanks

I am going to have to answer in the alternative. We have a marriage theme. If you are married or he is married, not to one another, these cards could apply differently.

Question: How does he feel about you?

Lovers

Nine of Pentacles – Four of Wands – Three of Cups

Nine of Pentacles: He sees you as someone who can take care of herself, who minds her own business, who can do just fine without him as a single woman.

Lovers: and you two are a pair, are lovers, are partners, are together.

Four of Wands: You are a couple, you are together, you are family – and this is the main marriage card. Illustration shows a wedding.

Three of Cups: Once again, you are happy together, you are sharing one another’s lives and enjoying it.

Three out of four cards mean together, and together in a good, happy sharing family way. The other card describes the way he sees you: independent, the opposite of clingy.

(A fellow who values a Nine of Pentacles woman, who is married, usually has a clingy and/or bossy wife. A live-in will show up as a marriage in Tarot, and so sometimes will the mother of the fellow’s child.)

.

.

.

Four of Swords

King of Wands – Seven of Cups – Hanged Man

King of Wands: The passionate man, your man, the practical hands-on working man, the angry or frustrated man, fellow with a temper … and the husband. He is your man, he feels a family bond, a marriage bond with you.

Seven of Cups: Things are messed up*

Hanged Man: and he feels strongly

Four of Swords: that they are going to stay that way, and ‘There’s nothing I can do about this,’ (which is often a cop out. I call it ‘can’t-itis. Especially true of menfolk: It they dread doing something, or if they simply don’t want to do something, they say (and may believe) that they can’t. Very common.)

*messed up – This is your ‘Things are complicated.’

As I said, we have a marriage theme, all three of our spreads. This one looks very much like he is married to someone else. If that isn’t the case, let me know, and I will apply that – or ask another question.

.

.

.

.

Question: ” … and if we have a future together.”  This is vague, so I will assume you mean:  Are you and the dude going to be a couple who love one another out in public, with a good future together?   Maybe you even mean get married or live together.

.

Three of Pentacles

Queen of Cups – Justice – Eight of Swords

Eight of Swords: Another card that means ‘can’t.’ Unable, hands are tied.

Queen of Cups and Justice:   These taken together can mean legal wife: The woman who loves, admires and understands him, the loyal wife, the good woman, Queen of Cups, and Justice is commitment, suggests marriage especially if there is a theme … which there is, here. These two cards together also say ‘Her idea she will be married/committed to this man.’ – because Queen of Cups also means her thought, her idea, woman is thinking.

Three of Pentacles: A relationship in which each person does her/her part, an agreement or ‘by agreement,’ and also means meeting together in person.

So this says you two have a relationship that both parties engage in but it isn’t going to be the way you are thinking … ‘which is marriage’ or ‘because of a marriage.’

Feedback from client:

Hi Emily, Many thanks for your answer, you are right in your assumptions.

.

Page of Wands Pages were apprentice knights who had to prove themselves fit to serve. Our Page of Wands dresses and speaks well; he presents himself in his best possible light. He and Page of Pentacles are like that, and both of them are identity cards, which means they stand in for pronouns and are about identifying oneself with a particular thing or group of people. You know … proud to be a Whatever. He is good-looking, handsome, one fine fellow – honest too.
.

Page of Wands brings the word ‘proud’ in various (good) ways.

.

Page of Wands is very much identified with speaking, speaking up, making a speech or verbal report or just talking. So he translates ‘said’ and that’s all sometimes. And since he stands for pronouns, he often simply means ‘he said’ or ‘what he said,’ and so on.

Nine of Pentacles Nine of Pentacles is (like Queen of Wands, and even like Queen of Pentacles) a sensible woman who runs something, owns something, and is competent. This card can translate ‘sole proprietor.’ Nine of Pentacles also can refer to a niche a person is in. Nine of Pentacles is the lead card for ‘businesswoman.’ Nine of Pentacles is profoundly independent (She don’t need nobody.) She is detached; she is an arm’s length kind of dame. Sometimes Nine of Pentacles refers to sobriety.

.

Nine of Pentacles is associated with, and stays in, a place. She can be a homebody; she can work from home; she can own a home or a business. She can be stationed at headquarters. She occupies a turf, in other words.

.

Nine of Pentacles’ picture shows a woman of leisure – in the vineyard with the falcon at noon, wearing a robe. Although she can be a well-off or even wealthy (usually single) woman, Nine of Pentacles can just as easily stand for a woman who is content with her current circumstances.

.

None of Pentacles, like World and High Priestess, does not respond, is not associated with, and is independent. This is one of the cards that advises a woman to mind her own business in love relationship spreads, or that says ‘No, she isn’t going to call you.’

Four of Wands The picture is a pubic wedding of society families. Four of Wands is one of two positive marriage cards (Ten of Cups is the other). Today it mostly translates ‘marriage’ because we have a single woman and a bachelor as the other two cards of three.

.

All the marriage cards expand, level by level, to circles of people of any size (couple, family, neighborhood, city, county, state, nation, international – any group with anything in common. (It takes another card to specify this is an unsavory group; otherwise, it’s the good-guy organization.) So it means ‘company’ and ‘corporation’ and ‘family’ and ‘clan,’ etc. It also simply means ‘everybody, which Ten of Cups can as well.

.

You find Four of Wands meaning things like family background, being ‘one of them’ – whoever ‘them’ refers to. Page of Wands is ‘one of them’ or ‘one of those people,’ so here his where he belongs.

.

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Here we have some fine people who belong to a fine family or organization. Page of Wands is the good-looking well-spoken young man – the bachelor sometimes. Nine of Pentacles is most emphatically a single woman who has made a good life for herself. Four of Wands is a good solid marriage.

.

Four of Wands is also the good solid organization or business, and both Page of Wands and Nine of Pentacles are competent people who have the right look and mores to be members of that company.

.

Page of Wands is looking to fit into society, and Nine of Pentacles has already make her mark … and Four of Wands represents whatever they are fitting into – some human group. Our message just shows how finding your niche and fitting in gives you a good comfortable circumstance.

Now,  Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the messages.

*Go to Learn Tarot by the Pictures.  It is what each of the four cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on each of those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.

Ace of Cups

Knight of Swords – Nine of Pentacles – Four of Wands

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Nine of Pentacles and Four of Wands both refer to houses in a good neighborhood and also refer to being one of the upstanding respectable better-off class of people we used to call rich before all those rich people said ‘I’m not rich.’

Nine of Pentacles is a single woman, and of course Four of Wands is married folks.

Ace of Cups is true love, good health, everything being fine with no harm being done, ‘good,’ and God – mainly. You can see Four of Wands and Ace of Cups says ‘marry for love’ and refers to a house in good condition.

Knight of Swords is a sudden change or shift or going back. But it can also mean ‘leaving’ and also can mean ‘in a hurry.’ You can see

Knight of Swords and Four of Wands saying ‘leaving home’ or ‘coming back to the marriage’ or ‘marrying suddenly’ or even ‘in a hurry to marry.’

Now you can see at a glance that the most common subject these particular four cards would appear together for is:  A woman gets married for love and moves out of her parents’ house, or even for the groom to move into her fine house. If you saw any of these things as you read the paragraphs above, you have a feel for the way to read Tarot verbatim.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

.

Knight of Swords pursues avidly but also means to flee.  Today he is about a change, about moving from one to the other – becoming – a change in personal circumstances.  His illustration shows a fully armed warrior, sword extended, leaning forward on his flying horse.  Yes, he is getting ahead …

Nine of Pentacles has it made as a single woman who lives a life of independence and does as she pleases.  She is usually a businesswoman, a proprietor of a business and/or an owner of agricultural land. This is not the wealthy debutante. She is not taking care of anybody except her falcon.

Four of Wands shows a wedding that unites leading families. Its meanings that grow out of that scene are marriage, family, power people or establishment, headquarters, a company, a fine house in a good neighborhood (or the neighborhood).

Ace of Cups’  illustration demonstrates the Roman Catholic influence on Rider Waite Tarot. The flow from the bowl reminds you of Ste. Theresa d’Avila’s once-famous analogy regarding the abundant flow of divine love.  The five flows are the five senses and/or five bodily fluids per the Middle Ages.  You see the dove as the Holy Spirit and the wafer of communion that represents (or is) the presence of God.  So the card can mean those things.  But it usually means true love, an easy flow or cooperation, beneficial, good, no harm coming (or harmless) and good health.

=========================================================================

Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do:

*Go to Daily Message Tarot Analysis below.  One or more of those sentences has something to say to you.  Pick those out.  They are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it.  (It is a group message like a horoscope, except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data,  so it can be specific,  accurate,  detailed and direct.  Our experiment here is “How much more accurate is it?”)

*Go to Advice to apply what those sentences say to you.  (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.)  Did you come here for your predictions? –  You are done now – See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer,  four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards . Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses,  feel very free to substitute. The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information!

He loves her,  her house is a good place for both of them to live,  so he is the one to move.

A Fine House in a Good Neighborhood

She moves back into her loving parents’ house all by herself.

She is comfortable in this house,  she changes it to suit herself.

She is easily wealthy enough to live in this neighborhood.  It is a change of circumstances.

She moves into the community as one of those people everyone likes and approves of.

This neighborhood reflects the change in her circumstances.  She is rich enough to live there now.

Gentrification of the neighborhood gets class people like her to move in.

The daughter inherits the family house and restores it to good condition.

She has a home in a safe neighborhood now,  which is a big change for her.

Accepted Now Because of a Change

Suddenly everyone accepts her as a member in good standing.

Everybody loves her when she becomes somebody in her field.

She is back in the fold as one of the godly people.

She is accepted to move back into the family’s house.

She is in good health again,  able to maintain her place in society.

Credentials Make a Difference

She is  ‘of good family’  and will have an easy transition when she moves out.

With her credentials,  the company easily has her on the fast track.

Spiritual Perspective

Live by yourself:  You can love everybody for a change.

Her spiritual life causes her to shift from being one of the upstanding people.

Now,  Part Two,

Do you want to know a little,  or a lot,  about how this Tarot Verbatim ™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Meanings and Illustrations:  Observation of the Spread section below.  This tells about the combined four pictures in the Daily Spread –  the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together to mean things.

*Go to Meanings and Illustrations:  Individual Rider Waite Tarot Cards.  It is what each of the four cards,  by itself,  has to say.  It describes how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in this Spread.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim ™ works.

Say hello back!  Comment!  I spend two hours a day or more writing these to you.  Remember to share your experience about our experiment here if you have words for it.  Read others’ comments.

Ace of Cups

Knight of Swords –  Nine of Pentacles –  Four of Wands

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:   OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD

Theme is Nine of Pentacles and Four of Wands are about houses in a good neighborhood and about being one of the upstanding respectable better-off class of people we used to call rich before rich people all said ‘I’m not rich.’  Nine of Pentacles is a single woman,  and of course Four of Wands is married folks.

Ace of Cups is true love,  good health,  everything being fine with no harm being done,  and God –  mainly.  Knight of Swords is a sudden change or shift or going back.

So you can see at a glance that the most common subject these particular four cards would appear together for is:  A woman gets married for love and moves out of her parents’  house,  or even for the groom to move into her fine house.  If you saw this as you read the paragraphs above,  you have a feel for the way to read Tarot verbatim.

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:   INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS

Ace of Cups’  illustration shows the Roman Catholic influence on Rider Waite Tarot.  The flow from the bowl reminds you of Ste. Theresa d’Avila’s once-famous analogy regarding that.  The five flows are the five senses and/or five bodily fluids per the Middle Ages.  You see the dove as the Holy Spirit and the wafer of communion that represents (or is) the presence of God.  So the card can mean those things.  But it usually means true love,  an easy flow or cooperation,  beneficial,  good,  no harm coming from,  and good health.
