Tarot Readings for You for April 13-14, 2017 Thursday-Friday©

Apr 12, 2017 by

Here is another Email Reading. It’s from a past format. This one is a good example of why it is a good idea to say – in a romantic question – whether you and/or the other party are married. It shows how I can answer without that specification, and be right, though.

Question:  Hi Emily. Please can you have a look at my love life. I have been seeing someone for a while but it is complicated. Please can you see how he feels about me and if we have a future together. Many thanks

I am going to have to answer in the alternative. We have a marriage theme. If you are married or he is married, not to one another, these cards could apply differently.

Question: How does he feel about you?

Lovers

Nine of Pentacles – Four of Wands – Three of Cups

Nine of Pentacles: He sees you as someone who can take care of herself, who minds her own business, who can do just fine without him as a single woman.

Lovers: and you two are a pair, are lovers, are partners, are together.

Four of Wands: You are a couple, you are together, you are family – and this is the main marriage card. Illustration shows a wedding.

Three of Cups: Once again, you are happy together, you are sharing one another’s lives and enjoying it.

Three out of four cards mean together, and together in a good, happy sharing family way. The other card describes the way he sees you: independent, the opposite of clingy.

(A fellow who values a Nine of Pentacles woman, who is married, usually has a clingy and/or bossy wife. A live-in will show up as a marriage in Tarot, and so sometimes will the mother of the fellow’s child.)

.

.

.

Four of Swords

King of Wands – Seven of Cups – Hanged Man

King of Wands: The passionate man, your man, the practical hands-on working man, the angry or frustrated man, fellow with a temper … and the husband. He is your man, he feels a family bond, a marriage bond with you.

Seven of Cups: Things are messed up*

Hanged Man: and he feels strongly

Four of Swords: that they are going to stay that way, and ‘There’s nothing I can do about this,’ (which is often a cop out. I call it ‘can’t-itis. Especially true of menfolk: It they dread doing something, or if they simply don’t want to do something, they say (and may believe) that they can’t. Very common.)

*messed up – This is your ‘Things are complicated.’

As I said, we have a marriage theme, all three of our spreads. This one looks very much like he is married to someone else. If that isn’t the case, let me know, and I will apply that – or ask another question.

.

.

.

.

Question: ” … and if we have a future together.”  This is vague, so I will assume you mean:  Are you and the dude going to be a couple who love one another out in public, with a good future together?   Maybe you even mean get married or live together.

.

Three of Pentacles

Queen of Cups – Justice – Eight of Swords

Eight of Swords: Another card that means ‘can’t.’ Unable, hands are tied.

Queen of Cups and Justice:   These taken together can mean legal wife: The woman who loves, admires and understands him, the loyal wife, the good woman, Queen of Cups, and Justice is commitment, suggests marriage especially if there is a theme … which there is, here. These two cards together also say ‘Her idea she will be married/committed to this man.’ – because Queen of Cups also means her thought, her idea, woman is thinking.

Three of Pentacles: A relationship in which each person does her/her part, an agreement or ‘by agreement,’ and also means meeting together in person.

So this says you two have a relationship that both parties engage in but it isn’t going to be the way you are thinking … ‘which is marriage’ or ‘because of a marriage.’

Feedback from client:

Hi Emily, Many thanks for your answer, you are right in your assumptions.

Tarot Readings for You for October 1-2, 2016 Weekend©

Sep 30, 2016 by

GUIDANCE      Getting ahead is sometimes best accomplished by stopping. We are looking at either being stopped by circumstances (being blocked or locked out) or choosing to withdraw from action. Knowing when to quit even when I tend to think of quitting as a bad thing. ‘Never give up’ can be a self-defeating faith. I know what my destination looks like, and the scene here is a mess, so I stop: I may be lost. Time to think. Or as I get closer to my destination, I see there are better places for me to be. Time to think. So I’m pulling into this hotel to sleep on it.

.

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in!

People love this place! Our site is divided into three sections: Guidance; Group Tarot Cards Readings; Learn Tarot by Observing and Learn Tarot by Pictures.

So what do you want to do? –

Did you come here for YOUR PREDICTIONS? daily trends? –

*Then you read the summary above, titled GUIDANCE,

*Then you read the one-sentence readings below titled GROUP TAROT CARDS READINGand you’re done: See you tomorrow. Invite your friends. At the very bottom are comments. New! – the black boxes to the right as you scroll down allow you to comment right there.

GROUP TAROT CARDS READING is the actual word-for-word messages from the pictures of the three cards you see – to everyone. These readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. So, go ahead and pick the sentences you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them for yourself. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

Two of Swords – Seven of Cups – Four of Swords

GROUP TAROT CARDS READING

Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.

.

Tarot Readings: Justice and Three of Pentacles

.. …..

Relax, you haven’t lost your mind.

It’s not brainfog; I’m just lazy.

Doesn’t act out if no one pays attention.

I’m bored if it’s not scandalous.

Don’t panic, just lay low.

No metastasis; it’s in remission.

Quiet times are when there’s no chaos.

No distractions when I meditate.

It’s not an upheaval once you get used to it.

If it’s not time to panic, let it be.

.

Tarot Readings: Justice and Sun

.. … ..

Don’t sleep through the tornado.

The dust has not settled yet.

The data are inconclusive: There’s no way to ignore that.

I never get used to flies.

No casualties in the wreck.

Nothing you can do to stop the deteriorating situation.

Cannot put up with this clutter.

It doesn’t make sense to not get any sleep.

.

Tarot Readings: Three of Pentacles and Sun

. …..n

I don’t dream when I sleep.

If you don’t do anything, things won’t go kaflooey.

It’s all over; the furor died down.

Nothing can shock me; I don’t give a damn about anything.

So shocked when you don’t react that they quit that.

Gridlock is where chaos meets inertia.

Nothing can be done about what was lost, so don’t do anything about it.

.

Two of Swords Two of Swords is one of the simplest cards: You know what it means by just looking at it. Almost purely a negator card (one that cancels another card or makes your sentence say the opposite of what it would have), Two of Swords abounds in contractions (haven’t, doesn’t, don’t) and means things like: no way, stop, won’t go, end, it’s all over, nothing can be done, quit, gridlock, and never.

.

The picture shows stasis (frozen in balance). A seated blindfolded figure in itself suggests inaction and being helpless, but further evidence of inability to act is in the sharp double-edged swords counterbalancing one another uselessly. You also see a gal in night clothes sitting on a stone bench in the dark. What for? You also see an ‘X’ too (like a railroad crossing sign) in her arms and the swords: roadblock, or cross it out.

Seven of Cups It helps to know The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is the story you are looking at here. The amateur conjurer has lost control of the spirits he summoned up, starting something he cannot finish, and losing control of the whole shebang. There’s a helpful spirit veiled in that top middle cup, but the place is hopping with a cloud of mischievous ones. The core meaning of Seven of Cups is this losing control and things are a mess. The confusion, panic, and shock the apprentice is feeling also apply.

.

Today we use a lot of the common words and phrases Seven of Cups brings: chaos, upheaval, kaflooey, furor, deteriorating situation, wreck, dust, clutter, lost objects. A jumble of unrelated items: That applies in many different scenarios, from the junk at the bottom of a purse to wreckage of an airplane, train, or other equipment. Broken, shattered, falling apart, falling to pieces: These also belong to Seven of Cups.

.

Note that the cloud in Seven of Cups can be literal, and can represent a storm, so that the miscellaneous unrelated items scattered about are the mess storm debris would make, so Seven of Cups can be a tornado, a hurricane, even a blizzard. The cloud can be from a volcano once in a while, as can the volcano in Lovers.

.

Things being out of control suggests metastasis and tumors.

.

The person in shock and panic at what he is seeing suggest hallucinations and bad dreams, as well as getting carried away by bizarre thoughts.

.

Four of Swords Another Tarot card it helps to know the story of. This illustration shows a knight candidate meditating on his life purpose overnight in a church. He lies on the stone sarcophagus (coffin cover) of the church’s sacred relic, a body part of some saint or hero. Strangely, I don’t find this card showing up for the subject of ‘life purpose.’

.

Four of Swords is any kind of ‘time out.’ Four of Swords’ core meaning is ‘not participating.’ Any kind of not participating: relaxing, sleeping, unresponsive, indifferent, sabbatical, meditation, quietude, sidelined, coma, lazy, couch potato, choosing to not respond or to ignore, not paying attention, not caring, being bored, tuning out. Four of Swords doesn’t directly mean death but can represent being deceased, as it does today with ‘casualties.’

.

The ‘not participating’ can also apply in unexpected ways such as: nothing you can do, if you don’t do anything, so you don’t do anything about it, when you don’t react, just lay low, let it be, just put up with it, and being used to it (inured).

.

Four of Swords is ‘having come to rest’ in various ways. It can indicate the dust has settled, the furor is over, and it’s in remission. Four of Swords also is inertia, even in the scientific sense.

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

                        LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES..

.. ….. …..….

.

Okay, so we have two negators that mean similar things on either side of something that doesn’t make sense. You go ‘What the heck do I do with THIS?’, and then you settle down to figure it out, being ultra-cautious to not ignore either of the negatives. In English grammar, two negatives make a positive, so a translation of this might mean something very different in a Romance language.

.

Two of Swords is ‘no way’ and not’ and Four of Swords is doing nothing, not responding, not participating … and being dead or in a coma. But since these cards, and their current roommate (Seven of Cups) have quite a few meanings between them, we have variety enough to populate our Tarot report to you.

.

Seven of Cups is a tornado – is out-of-control phenomena – and is craziness, distractions (even like flies), is the poop hitting the fan, is time to panic, is shock, is upheaval, is ‘losing it’ and is the needle-in-the-haystack of lost items.

.

And Four of Swords is disengaged. Four of Swords is asleep, is meditating, doesn’t respond and doesn’t care. Four of Swords is ‘let the world turn without me tonight,’ a line found in Jesus Christ Superstar.

.

Putting these two together, we have ourselves a story of not getting excited about anything … make that anything!

.

And here’s the problem we trip over: Two of Swords echoes that disengagement because it means to block things out, to deny – one of those ‘No way!’ cards. And yet Two of Swords can make ‘to not disengage.’ (Yesterday we had a similar impasse between Three of Pentacles’ agreement the parties abide by and Sun’s being free of whatever is or was binding. We tiptoed around that.) A question that limits what you apply these two Tarot cards to makes it tricky, potentially.

.

By the way: Four of Swords is to sleep; Seven of Cups is to dream. Seven of Cups is cancer; Four of Swords is remission.

.

So what are we saying for the days ahead? – basically, you don’t have to take action when things don’t make sense. See those two negatives get along there?

. ….. …….

.

.

AND NOW WITHOUT THE PICTURES:

. ….. …….

.

I want to get to a destination, so I am going ahead and making my progress, but here comes a road condition. Driving through this would impede or even end my progress. Good thing I heard about it, huh? Of course, other times I pull over because, at my end of the story, I need time out, need some sleep. Today we consider those times that not doing anything – refraining from all action – is the way to get ahead, to accomplish our project.

HOW TO USE THE MATERIAL WE HAVE FOR YOU HERE. Read the sentences, and pick out the ones that seem to apply to you, to the people around you. They are a Tarot analysis of your day’s circumstances. As the day (or several days) unfolds, you may find the information is relevant. The question is: “Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.” Often, your adopting the attitude you feel in the blog works for your day!

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean even contradictory things. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are less specific, more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. Especially when a pronoun is in parentheses, feel free to substitute. The Advice section sums up a general meaning of all the sentences.

Remember to share your experience with a comment here if you have words for it …

Rider_Waite_Tarot_Spread

There’s confusion here, and you have the ability to figure it out, but don’t do anything until you have.

Queen of Cups
Seven of Cups, Queen of Pentacles, Four of Swords

There’s confusion here, and you have the ability to figure it out, but don’t do anything until you have.
She has the money but is waiting until she understands the fine print.
It’s such a mess that: Just don’t do anything until you know you can.
He doesn’t want anything to do with either of those two crazy women.
Nothing can be done about the mess but she has faith that she can.

Daughter believes in her man who is out of control, mama isn’t putting her money into that.
She has not yet figured out all the ramifications of taking care of her man.
She knows how messed up things are for him but she isn’t investing her resources there.
Two mixed-up women aren’t doing anything.
Weird dreams in her sleep that she does have the ability to interpret.

Each of the ladies can sleep through a hullabaloo.
She knows she needs rest when things she can do don’t make sense.
Taking care of the man she understands involves not doing anything when he is off the deep end.
She knows she can sleep through a storm.
When things get this crazy, she knows she can just sleep on it.

Here are our Tarot citizens of this spread: Two women who take care of (Queen of Pentacles) and understand (Queen of Cups) their man; a totally confused messed-up situation (craziness); and not doing or nothing can be done, or sleep. Not too many variants to this story. Hope this passes quickly for whoever is experiencing it. It could be people you know rather than you – hope so! That rascal Mercury is retrograde. He may be the culprit behind this scenario! At any rate, this is not a serious life phase, it’s one more bump in the road.

Advice is to withdraw and not do anything until you know enough to handle what doesn’t make any sense right now. “To sleep through the storm.” As my old daddy, who had played professional baseball, used to say “When in doubt, punt.” Punting is putting the bat sideways, letting the ball drop in front of you, and running to first base. It is the least thing you can do as the batter.

Meanings and Illustrations:

Seven of Cups: Illustrations shows the Sorcerer’s Apprentice story, or Pandora’s Box: Out of control every which way, doesn’t make sense, a hullabaloo, a story, things get crazy.

Queen of Pentacles: ‘She can’ and ‘to have the ability’ or ‘to have the money’ are most of her meanings here. Illustration shows a woman with money in her hands (or lap), and connotes a married woman who is co-ruler of the marital kingdom and its assets. The kind of woman a smart man would marry as the partner who watches his back and his resources.

Four of Swords: To sleep or rest, to not do anything or to be inactive. Illustration shows a knight lying on the stone crypt of a saint or hero, doing his vision quest the night before he is knighted.

Queen of Cups: She knows, she thinks, she understands, she has figured out. She thinks of her man, she has figured out her man, she understands her man. This is the loyal sweet lady wife. She can be the dreamy naïve type. Stereotype would be the young Bible Belt churchgoing woman. She is emotional: See the water around her – but it is peaceful water, unlike her husband the King of Cups. She is at peace with herself and others.

Rider_Waite_Tarot_Spread

In their relationship, he spoils her, she isn’t going to have any complaints about him!

Three of Pentacles
Queen of Swords, Six of Swords, Empress

Romantic Perspective:
Her difficult times are phasing out; this relationship fulfills her.
The diva is not as demanding in this relationship.
The woman he loves is easy to deal with; he isn’t with the complaining one anymore.
Beautiful women expect a lot; he doesn’t have relationships with them anymore.
In their relationship, he spoils her, she isn’t going to have any complaints about him!

Being gorgeous is her part in their relationship, she will want for nothing.
He avoids meeting with the woman he loves because he is disappointing her.
He moved away and she misses meeting with him and feeling foxy.
She is going from not having things the way she wants them to being the darling of who she’s with.
He is leaving the old bitch behind to have a relationship with a giving younger woman.
She, a trophy woman, is leaving this relationship because it does not fulfill her expectations.

Business Perspectives:
Putting the deal aside in which she did not get what was due her, she has the good life.
The contractors left the job she funded; she is annoyed.
Her expectation of living well from these transactions is diminishing.
She is doing well in this business, she can’t complain any more.
They meet with the woman who is the buyer; she has specifications they have not met.
Her part in the agreement is to pay for it, and she isn’t going to be disappointed.

This story has some flexibility. We have two women, a relationship, and better days being ahead as these times are put behind. The women are the old(er) woman (Queen of Swords) who is demanding, who expects, who complains, who is stern, who isn’t getting what she wants and expects and is disappointed, even annoyed or angry. She can be the bitch too: This is the ‘bitch card.’ And we have the young(er) woman (Empress), the diva, who also expects much because she is getting much: She has the good life, she is a resource as well as the beloved who is spoiled. Oh. P.S., she is gorgeous, a beauty.

In between the two different women is the Six of Swords, a Tarot card that in Rider Waite talks about leaving this behind for a better place, a better time. It means going away, avoiding, phasing out, not anymore, putting something regrettable behind and going ahead. The basic meaning is ‘to leave.’

The Three of Pentacles in Rider Waite has few meanings: a business deal, a relationship, a meeting – especially of three people – and doing his/her/your/their part. It also is an agreement, and a meeting of minds.

Advice is about transition and about satisfying what others expect. You can see the process is more meaningful than the role people are playing in it; that either of these women could be in the other’s shoes another time. You can see how expectations are a large part in a deal or relationship with fellow humans. You can see how the difference between not having and having is moving to another deal, another relationship.

Meanings and Illustrations:

Queen of Swords: The old(er) woman (Queen of Swords) who is demanding, who expects, who complains, who is stern, who isn’t getting what she wants and expects and is disappointed, even annoyed or angry. She can be the bitch too: This is the ‘bitch card.’ She is depicted with this no-nonsense grimace on her face, a sword resting on the arm of her throne in her right hand, and her left hand extended as if to say “Now would be good.”

Six of Swords: A Tarot card that in Rider Waite talks about leaving this behind for a better place, a better time. It means going away, avoiding, phasing out, not anymore, putting something regrettable behind and going ahead. The basic meaning is ‘to leave.’ And those people in the boat are leaving all right, leaving like refugees. In their case, the reason the future is better is that it couldn’t be worse.

Empress: The young(er) woman (Empress), the voluptuous diva, who also expects much because she is getting much: She has the good life, she is a resource as well as the beloved who is spoiled. Oh. P.S., she is gorgeous, a beauty. Her illustration in Rider Waite Tarot is meant to echo the fertility goddesses of antiquity. She looks pretty good to be that old, doesn’t she?
