Tarot Readings for You for April 13-14, 2017 Thursday-Friday©

Apr 12, 2017 by

Here is another Email Reading. It’s from a past format. This one is a good example of why it is a good idea to say – in a romantic question – whether you and/or the other party are married. It shows how I can answer without that specification, and be right, though.

Question:  Hi Emily. Please can you have a look at my love life. I have been seeing someone for a while but it is complicated. Please can you see how he feels about me and if we have a future together. Many thanks

I am going to have to answer in the alternative. We have a marriage theme. If you are married or he is married, not to one another, these cards could apply differently.

Question: How does he feel about you?

Lovers

Nine of Pentacles – Four of Wands – Three of Cups

Nine of Pentacles: He sees you as someone who can take care of herself, who minds her own business, who can do just fine without him as a single woman.

Lovers: and you two are a pair, are lovers, are partners, are together.

Four of Wands: You are a couple, you are together, you are family – and this is the main marriage card. Illustration shows a wedding.

Three of Cups: Once again, you are happy together, you are sharing one another’s lives and enjoying it.

Three out of four cards mean together, and together in a good, happy sharing family way. The other card describes the way he sees you: independent, the opposite of clingy.

(A fellow who values a Nine of Pentacles woman, who is married, usually has a clingy and/or bossy wife. A live-in will show up as a marriage in Tarot, and so sometimes will the mother of the fellow’s child.)

.

.

.

Four of Swords

King of Wands – Seven of Cups – Hanged Man

King of Wands: The passionate man, your man, the practical hands-on working man, the angry or frustrated man, fellow with a temper … and the husband. He is your man, he feels a family bond, a marriage bond with you.

Seven of Cups: Things are messed up*

Hanged Man: and he feels strongly

Four of Swords: that they are going to stay that way, and ‘There’s nothing I can do about this,’ (which is often a cop out. I call it ‘can’t-itis. Especially true of menfolk: It they dread doing something, or if they simply don’t want to do something, they say (and may believe) that they can’t. Very common.)

*messed up – This is your ‘Things are complicated.’

As I said, we have a marriage theme, all three of our spreads. This one looks very much like he is married to someone else. If that isn’t the case, let me know, and I will apply that – or ask another question.

.

.

.

.

Question: ” … and if we have a future together.”  This is vague, so I will assume you mean:  Are you and the dude going to be a couple who love one another out in public, with a good future together?   Maybe you even mean get married or live together.

.

Three of Pentacles

Queen of Cups – Justice – Eight of Swords

Eight of Swords: Another card that means ‘can’t.’ Unable, hands are tied.

Queen of Cups and Justice:   These taken together can mean legal wife: The woman who loves, admires and understands him, the loyal wife, the good woman, Queen of Cups, and Justice is commitment, suggests marriage especially if there is a theme … which there is, here. These two cards together also say ‘Her idea she will be married/committed to this man.’ – because Queen of Cups also means her thought, her idea, woman is thinking.

Three of Pentacles: A relationship in which each person does her/her part, an agreement or ‘by agreement,’ and also means meeting together in person.

So this says you two have a relationship that both parties engage in but it isn’t going to be the way you are thinking … ‘which is marriage’ or ‘because of a marriage.’

Feedback from client:

Hi Emily, Many thanks for your answer, you are right in your assumptions.

Tarot Readings: Out of Many Ideas Comes One (Seven of Cups and Ace of Wands)

Focus consciousness as reality fractures!

It’s confusing, but I get the main idea.

I am totally intrigued by everything!

Distilling things you know down to one core belief.

Out of many ideas, one really bright one is dominant.

Enlightenment is understanding the big picture from all its pieces.

I have one simple perspective that makes sense of all this stuff, to me.

Hold that one thought and let the others be miscellaneous.

One inspired idea from a sea of raw data.

Distractions abound as I keep priorities in mind.

Focus on one idea, and let the relatives rush in.

Draw one conclusion from a deteriorating situation.

Psychic impressions hit the fan, and you are in control of them.

One inspired idea, from a lot of unrelated subjects.

After all that thinking I come to a conclusion.

.. …….…… …..

Tarot Readings: My Disordered Mind (Seven of Cups and Hanged Man)

It’s a brain-fog day for sure.

A brainstorm feels like total chaos.

My mind is on the border between total control and total chaos.

You are inspired to get a grip on this mess.

Realize I have to just let loose.

The first strike of enlightenment is irrational.

I get it … I have made a royal mess of things.

Off the deep end he goes with the idea of control.

A really bright and inspired idea will for sure stir up flak.

Mainly … I was just seeing things … yeah.

One look tells you the situation has metastasized.

I feel I am losing it, for sure.

Now he knows things break when you hit them.

.. …….…… …..

Tarot Readings: Gotta Have Insight! (Ace of Wands and Hanged Man)

You gotta have insight in these crazy times.

At the first sign things are falling apart, up-periscope.

Suddenly you know how to combat a meltdown.

It’s garbled, and I really have got to understand this.

Got to keep my head about me as my imagination gets carried away.

Let my mind out to play, and it came back with a biggie.

.. …….…… …..

Seven of Cups – Ace of Wands – Hanged Man

.

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

                LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES..

.. …….…… …..           Seven of Cups and Hanged Man belong to the same untidy order of things. Seven of Cups, well, is chaos personified. Hanged Man is that disoriented state of mind when a foreign thought hits full force, and you ‘get it,’ get something that, duh, you should have known, because now it’s self-evident.

But Seven of Cups is confused, and Hanged Man understands … now. Putting them together says ‘Disordered Mind.’ Dizzying unrelated thoughts and brain fog too. (I could go on.)

Okay, who else we got in the house? – oh, you, Ace of Wands. Right away you hear ‘a thought strikes,’ like being hit over the head, because, well, Ace of Wands is the hand grasping the club. Ace of Wands is total control, contrasting with Seven of Cups’ out-of-control scene. Seven of Cups, everything is out of control, all over the place, frittered away and scattered. Ace of Wands is in total control, has a single focus, and is forceful.

Ace of Wands is ‘the one thing,’ contrasting with Seven of Cups many things. You can also see that Ace of Wands is dominant, and everything is equal … equally a mess … in Seven of Cups. So, Ace of Wands is Order and Seven of Cups is Disorder.

and Hanged Man applies that to the mind, to insight, to perception. So aren’t we sorting things out today!

.

.

.

GET A SINGLE CARD’S MEANINGS: TYPE ITS NAME AND ‘TAROT VERBATIM’ INTO GOOGLE.

Seven of Cups           Seven of Cups Uh-oh. The magician’s new hire thought he knew the trade and called up the spirits all wrong … and the wrong spirits. They are all over the place and out of his control. Remember the movie Fantasia? – this is that story, called The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. Pandora’s Box is the same story. In both of these sagas, the lone good spirit (a girl of course) doesn’t leave the box, pleads to be released, and is let loose after the bad guys have a head start. Here in our illustration, that Good Girl is under the white cloth in the center cup with the energy halo around it. Naturally, Seven of Cups is just the card for any kind of apparition, hallucination, imagination running away with you, ‘seeing things’ – even delirium tremens. In Seven of Cups, spiritual things are invading physical reality … like they are in Hanged Man, who sees ‘out there’ things unexpectedly.

Seven of Cups catches you unaware. You are confused. Chaos surrounds you. Shock and awe. Amazing. Its main translates are ‘out of control’ and ‘a mess.’ Any kind of mess will do for Seven of Cups, from mental derangement which we have today, to unrelated items jumbled together, to storm debris. Pieces of things. Things have fallen apart – another common phrase for this Rider Waite Tarot card. Seven of Cups is the ‘It hits the fan’ card.

Skipping over the ‘cloud’ and ‘storm’ meanings here today. Type ‘Seven of Cups Tarot Verbatim’ for a comprehensive report on this Tarot card.

Ace of Wands           Ace of Wands is primitive primacy, the herd bull concept. The most important. The imperative. It resembles a penis and its main meaning is ‘dominant.’ It means ‘one’ also. Yes, it can translate sex, and represents the male gender – hence, often, sex from that perspective, or involving a male. It means force and ‘forced to’ or ‘must’ or ‘have to,’ so it can translate ‘gotta.’ It means ‘That’s an order.’

Hanged Man           Ace of Wands is primitive primacy, the herd bull concept.

A moment of shattering realization shifts your outlook maybe forever. Or a reverie … a daydream stream of thought … affects you deeply. Could even be the moment when you no longer believed in Santa Claus. We are looking at the moment of transformation. We are describing the conscious mind’s reaction to a rude intrusion by the subconscious. We are seeing things that are not real from the standpoint of our usual reality testing.

Tarot Readings for You for May 29, 2015 Friday©

May 29, 2015 by

GUIDANCE Things are out of control, are a mess. We have three snapshots of myself when I am in such a situation. One is: It’s confusing but I am getting it. One is: I have one simple perspective on it that makes sense to me, and I hold that thought. (I am staring at the horizon as the boat rocks.) One is: I know it’s out of control, and I am too – panic, brain-fog, high, imagination running away with me, losing it. The message implies self-diagnosis, and it contrasts intuitive thought and focused conscious thought as things fall apart. The message implies self-diagnosis so I am in a position to use both consciousnesses when the horizon is tilting and I’m getting seasick.

Seven of Cups – Hanged Man – Knight of Pentacles

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

..……………….   For the third day in a row, we have two similar cards in our three-card spread: Hanged Man and Knight of pentacles. They both strongly mean thought, but there is a distinction this time: Hanged Man is intuitive awareness, even psychic perspective; Knight of Pentacles is single-minded conscious focus on the physical reality. Looking to the other card doesn’t help this time: It means total confusion. So all three cards are about thought, are different levels of consciousness. (This complicates sorting out what phrases belong to which card.)

Shall we take these two together, briefly, to see how they combine? Seven of Cups and Knight of Pentacles is keeping your mind on priority as things fall apart; it is concentrating on what is important when there are distractions. So we have a contrast between scattered (Seven of Cups) and focused (Knight of Pentacles), between one (Knight of Pentacles) and many (Seven of Cups). And we have a contrast between deliberation and focus in Knight of Pentacles and brain-fog – being out of control and scattered in Seven of Cups.

……………………….. Seven of Cups catches you unaware. It is about a mess … any kind of mess, from clutter to storm damage to mental derangement. It can represent a storm: the cloud and the debris. Its mood is shock and awe. Things have fallen apart, hit the fan, and are out of control.

The illustration is from Sorcerer’s Apprentice, when the bad spirits are out of control because the magician’s new hire has decided to mess with things. A similar story about the bad spirits being accidentally let loose is Pandora’s Box. In both these stories, there’s just one good spirit whose job it is to counterbalance the chaos of the demon kingdom, who is let loose after identifying herself (yes, female in both cases), and after the bad guys have a head start. In Rider Waite, this good spirit is under the white cloth in the center cup.

……………………….. Hanged Man is an idea striking, and it represents subconscious or superconscious awareness. When the subconscious opens the hatch and lets loose with an idea from ‘out there,’ we feel disoriented (upside-down) and feel maybe our head is hot from stimulation (the energy halo around Hanged Man’s head). This illustration also accesses several myths about the hero god hanging himself on a tree and sacrificing a body part to obtain wisdom (meaning occult awareness).

……………………….. Knight of Pentacles is a guy: very physically oriented, stubborn, self-centered, and ‘one thing on his mind.’ Strong of body, and focused. His mind is made up. He can be obsessing. He can progress to being a thug or punk, and his stereotype is the short stocky extroverted guy who sees in black-and-white. He and the horse he rides in on are dark, short, muscular and manly.

If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs” says Rudyard Kipling in a famous poem. We are saying that here too. Chaos is here right where you are and you can keep your head, lose it, or catch on in midstream. We present snapshots of situations that are beyond your control, and describe varying degrees you can have of control of yourself, at least, in those times.

Now we show where each of the phrases in each of the sentences comes from:

……………….

TAROT READINGS: IT’S CONFUSING, BUT YOU ARE GETTING IT (SEVEN OF CUPS AND HANGED MAN)

It’s garbled SEVEN OF CUPS, but you are getting HANGED MAN a bead on it KNIGHT OF PENTACLES.

Keep your head about you HANGED MAN and KNIGHT OF PENTACLES as coincidence goes wild SEVEN OF CUPS.

Sep 22, 2013 by

Guidance      Advice is all about thinking processes … about changing your mind … about distilling things you know down to one belief … about letting your mind go far afield and come back with something interesting, some inspiration … about coming to a conclusion after experiencing all sorts of theories. Concentrating on too many things at once, flitting from one to the other. Even about running for the exit through smoke.

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in!

People love this place! Our site is divided into four sections: Guidance, Tarot Readings, Learn Tarot by Observation, and Learn Tarot by Pictures.

.
If you just want your daily look ahead, Guidance and Tarot Readings are all you need. ‘Guidance’ (above) is a summary of what the cards are telling visitors to be aware of this day.

‘Group Tarot Cards Reading’ (just below this) is the actual word-for-word messages to everyone. These readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. So, go ahead and pick the sentences you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them for yourself.

Did you come here for your predictions? –  You are done now –  See you tomorrow. The family of commenters here would love for you to join in (the very last, at the bottom).

Now,  Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the messages.

*Go to Learn Tarot by the Pictures.  It is what each of the four cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.

Knight of Pentacles

Seven of Cups – Hanged Man – Knight of Swords

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Hmmm, said I when I saw these. Two of the four Rider Waite Tarot citizens are about idea – an inspiration or state of mind or focus or awareness. Those are Hanged Man and Knight of Pentacles. Hanged Man is a subconscious realization producing a eureka awareness consciously. Knight of Pentacles is about one very conscious if not obsessive idea – is about focus.

Then Seven of Cups is many different scattered unrelated items together. It is about confusion and chaos … and smoke and debris and pieces of things lying around. Seven of Cups and Hanged Man is dizzying unrelated thoughts … and Knight of Swords would add ‘racing’ to that. Knight of Swords and either Hanged Man or Knight of Pentacles would say ‘racing thoughts.’

Add to these Knight of Swords’ sudden reversal of direction or changes – including changes back and forth – and you have changes of mind.

So we have a contrast between scattered (Seven of Cups) and focused (Knight of Pentacles), between one (Knight of Pentacles) and many (Seven of Cups). And we have a contrast between deliberation and focus in Knight of Pentacles and being out of control and scattered in Seven of Cups.

These four are a recipe for one’s head to spin. Missing is any action at all! This is one of those pesky consciousness spreads. I hate it when someone asks what another person will do and we get a consciousness spread meaning he’s gonna think.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

.

Seven of Cups     … uh-oh. Many different scattered unrelated items are jumbled together like a heap of trash. Seven of Cups is about confusion and chaos … and smoke and debris and pieces of things laying around. Theories and apparitions. Seven of Cups is the magician who lost control of the critters in The Sorcerer’s Apprentice and is about the critters who got loose from Pandora’s Box. Its signature phrase is … out of control.

Hanged Man     has realized he always knew that! Hanged Man is when you go around saying some aphorism to your friends as if it were very meaningful and they are rolling their eyes at you … Yeah? Hanged Man is when you realize that the friend who said “Well, he had sex with that nun” has a point after you told Friend the story of Husband’s knowing the nun stole the hotel towels, that he saw her put them in her luggage. Hanged Man is the kind of realization that sometimes is quickly followed by a “Duh!” Psychic realization is part of Hanged Man’s territory too.

Knight of Swords     goes back there again … goes back and forth … turns the corner … changes – especially changes direction. He means to pursue and he means to flee. I wish it were not so. He means to be in a hurry and he means speed. His illustration shows a fully armed knight in obvious pursuit, blade extended and leaning forward. His horse’s hair is flying and his horse is flying – both feet off the ground, which is not the way horses run.

Knight of Pentacles     He and his horse are strong and sturdy, short and dark. They are standing still as he contemplates that one thing in his hands (a huge coin). Sometimes he is about self interest: The one thing on his mind is him. He can be a thug too – is at least very physical. Concentrating on one thing is Knight of Pentacles’ main meaning.

Our Daily Spread for September 23, 2011 Friday ©

Sep 23, 2011 by

(At the time of production, there’s no way to correct the lack of spaces after punctuation. I am writing around it now!)

Advice is all about thinking processes … about changing your mind … about distilling things you know down to one belief … about letting your mind go far afield and come back with something interesting, some inspiration … about coming to a conclusion after experiencing all sorts of theories. Concentrating on too many things at once, flitting from one to the other. Even about running for the exit through smoke.

=========================================================================

Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do:

*Go to Daily Message Tarot Analysis below. One or more of those sentences has something to say to you. Pick those out. They are about you and the people around you. They are about today and the days around it. (It is a group message like a horoscope, except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data, so it can be specific, accurate, detailed and direct. Our experiment here is “How much more accurate is it?”)

*Go to Advice to apply what those sentences say (in the best way) for you. (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.) Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information!
