Wheel of Fortune Four Hebrew letters that comprise in Hebrew the Name of God are on the rim of the Wheel of Fortune. These letters stand for four stages of creation, esoterically speaking. Four other letters are interspersed there: R, O, T, A. Rota is the root word in English for words like rotate. And rota refers to a Greek myth about destiny (the Wheel of Fortune), hell, and the evil edge of the flat earth where dragons live – a myth about Apollo. The Wheel in the illustration resembles a roulette wheel, which expresses the meaning of chance as well.

.

This evil edge of the earth was a geographical place on the map for the ancients. There were two towers there (in real life), that marked the gates of hell to ancient people. You see those towers and that Left-hand Path in Moon, which is why Moon represents evil, black magic, doom, going wrong, and the like.

.

The funky creatures sitting on the outer edge of the rim and in the clouds around the Wheel are spirits. The blue sphinx and the red lizard are evil spirits you can find in literature. The critters in the corner with books probably refer to akashic records because the moral and meaning of Wheel of Fortune is that spirits both divine and infernal are involved in human destiny. This Wheel of Fortune is a graphic representation of that idea.

.

In real Tarot life, Wheel of Fortune is mostly about good luck, miracle, optimum outcome or result, opportunity, chance and ‘a chance,’ gambling, long shots, coincidence, destiny, fate, karma, a breakthrough, a fortuitous event, unexpected profit or cash.

.

‘Wonderful’ is a very common phrase for Wheel of Fortune. When in doubt, apply it first. Another extremely common translate for Wheel of Fortune is ‘happens’ or forms of that word. Sometimes it even simply says ‘event.’ For example, Page of Wands (a person, a physical body) and Wheel of Fortune could say ‘He was there when it happened,’ which is not something you would think of right away.

Six of Pentacles A glance tells you Six of Pentacles is financial, and it’s about paying and getting paid, especially re a paycheck. It is about giving and/or getting. Six of Pentacles is an exchangea fair exchange the same as Three of Pentacles isand is more specifically an exchange of money, and that extends to paying or receiving attention or respect, and paying or receiving treatment, including medical treatment. It is giving the attention they deserve or getting the attention you deserve. Regarding exchange of money, Six of Pentacles also is about having the money to, about affording and affordable. Sometimes it simply translates ‘give’ or ‘get.’ It also can refer to labor expense in a business reading, and once in a while to ‘labor’ as a political interest in political readings.

.

Notice ‘deserve.’ Six of Pentacles is a justice card because of the scales, and it has legal meanings (just not in use today).

Sun Mischievous kid ducks out of the house and its rules to cavort nude, hands-off, bareback, with a pony who is making known his annoyance. Sun’s meanings concentrate on the fun, the freedom, the leaving home, the escape from restrictions and rules, relief, the children or child subject, and even the sunshine, and ignore the consequences to shortly come.

.

The closest Sun comes to being judgmental about the kid’s behavior is that sun does mean reckless behavior and ‘brat.’ It also represents the ‘I just wanna have fun’ of the playboy or callous behavior. And Sun can translate ‘fling.’

Here we have happy stories. Wheel of Fortune is a lucky strike; Six of Pentacles is getting paid or something that pays off; Sun is the thrill of it. Something happens (Wheel of Fortune) and I can pay my bills what a relief.

Another story is an optimum result for a child’s medical treatment. Six of Pentacles is medical treatment sometimes, and Sun is obviously a child. Wheel of Fortune makes the optimum result.

.

We even have a kid becoming self-supportingand that’s a wonderful thing. Six of Pentacles can say ‘ self-supporting.’

.

Six of Pentacles says ‘deserve’ and Wheel of Fortune is a chance – so you deserve a chance – a chance to be free or to have some fun, with Sun joining in.

.

Six of Pentacles can be a legal ritual, so you are lucky (Wheel of Fortune) to pay a fine (Six of Pentacles) and go free (Sun).

Tarot Readings for You for August 16, 2017 Wednesday©

Wednesdays will be the day for Email readings, since Wednesday covers only one day (that’s in theory of course). This email reading is split between two relationships Client is interested in. She wants clarification re their perspective on her. We discover two opposite views the two men have: One is confident and the other very much not so.

.

You can have a reading just like this – just check out the Email Readings tab, above. You can also get the combined meanings of any two Tarot cards by typing them into Google, or any one card – but put ‘Tarot Verbatim’ after the single-card search if you want to limit it to just the archives of our site here.

.

UPDATE ON THE LESSONS: Techs have waved the white flag. They need until September to start the lessons, and that’s September 1, the first Friday. I have all my fingers crossed.

Email Reading

The category of life is:: Love

My question is:: I have 2 men in my life right now and I’m confused about who I should choose. I suppose it would help me decide between the two if I knew how they feel about me.

I agree. But this question is off-kilter. I’m sure you don’t want to know how they jointly feel about you. And you haven’t pegged them. So I shall ask Man #1’s view of you, then Man #2’s view of you, and let you take it from there. I used two different decks for this so cards would not be missing from the second question.

Man #1’s view of you, how he feels about you

.

Four of Wands – Lovers – Knight of Wands

He is on his way to being your love partner in a committed union/marriage.

He is on his way (pursuing) – Knight of Wands

to being your love partner – Lovers

in a committed union or a marriage. – Four of Wands

.

.

Justice – Six of Pentacles – Temperance

You and he are in an intimate mutual union, are committed, and are treating one another the right way.

You and me are in an intimate mutual union, we talk, – Temperance

are committed, – Justice

and are treating one another like that – treating one another right.” – Six of Pentacles

.

.

Knight of Pentacles – Two of Wands – Sun

He knows one thing for sure: A happy future, being free, and that’s a plan.

He knows one thing for sure: – Knight of Pentacles

A happy – Sun

future – Two of Wands

being free – Sun

and that’s a plan. – Two of Wands

*If this fellow is married, ‘taken’ in some way, or lives in another town, Sentence 1 (Four of Wands = home; Knight of Wands = leaving) and Sentence 3 (Two of Wands = for sure; Sun = getting away from the restrictions, being relieved and happy, it’s fun) picture him leaving and having a future with you.

.

.

.

Man #2’s view of you, how he feels about you

.

Nine of Wands – Three of Swords – Judgment

He is afraid of another split-up or divorce.

He is afraid – Nine of Wands

of another – Judgment

split-up or divorce. – Three of Swords

.

.

Queen of Cups – Seven of Pentacles – Chariot

Does she think I am in control and responsible here?”

He is in doubt: Does – Seven of Pentacles

she think – Queen of Cups

I am in control and responsible, a manly leader, here? – Chariot

.

.

Seven of Wands – Nine of Cups – King of Swords

How he struggles to be the man he wants to be – the decisive manly leader.

More than anything, he wants to be – Nine of Cups

a decisive manly man – King of Swords

and that’s a challenge; the odds are against it.

.

Magician Today’s readings are a great example of how Magician gets swallowed up by other cards’ meanings because Magician means: do, start, make, initiate or initiative. Those words are inferred in the meanings of some other cards. Today Magician and Eight of Cups are about not doing something or not doing it anymore. Today Magician and Six of Pentacles are about the doing of: paying bills, treating other people right, giving respect or attention, doing ‘it’ right.

.

Magician in Rider Waite represents the active principle, represents the doing (not the thinking or anything else, just action). Refer to the two-card combination parts at the end of this post to see how Magician gets swallowed up in the action that other cards specify the nature of.

Eight of Cups A pilgrim, the story here is, detours around a mountain, going out of his way. The pilgrim will resume his direction once past the obstacle, and bear in mind Eight of Cups sometimes means that.

.

Eight of Cups is on a journey: He has left but has not arrived. That is true of Six of Swords as well. But Six of Swords’ journey is going from one place to another directly, and Eight of Cups encounters a disruption, goes off the road (in any sense), or aborts course. Eight of Cups is leaving, quitting, dropping out, walking away, not showing up (A. W. O. L.).

.

Look for Eight of Cups to mean a change. Look for it to mean ‘on the road’ or traveling. It is one of several cards that mean to switch from one to another or to switch direction.

.

Eight of Cups means to drop out, as well as to go out of your way, two opposite things.

.

Eight of Cups also means a disruption or interruption.

.

So Eight of Cups has odd meanings. It is not an anchor card; you fit it into the others, usually. The beginning and ending moon phases can mean things like: a month, ‘burning the midnight oil,’ dusk, twilight. You get a feel for what this card is talking about, with experience. (If you are looking for exhaustive meanings for this Eight of Cups fellow, Google ‘Eight of Cups Tarot Verbatim’ and the archives will spill all. Be sure to click on the ‘more’ after the usual six or so beginning items.)

.

In its present company, Eight of Cups is acting as a negator (negative modifier), which isn’t its usual function.

Six of Pentacles He has some scales and the coins he pays them with for what they do for him. Treating people right and doing the right thing are major portions of Six of Pentacles’ meanings. The point is fairness because he is going by the weight of the gold that’s left in the coins rather than the face value. Six of Pentacles is a fair exchange; is commerce; is a paycheck or labor expense. It is also the card for making payments.

.

An exchange involves both giving and receiving, of course. And the scales bring justice into the dictionary of Six of Pentacles.

.

This exchange extends to paying attention, giving respect and getting it, and getting what is deserved (either way). The act of dropping the coins into the hands of other people, along with the fact Six of Pentacles is about ‘treating’ people fairly, stretches this card to dispensing medicines and treating people medically. Six of Pentacles translates ‘treatment.’

.

.

.

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

                   LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

.

. …..       ..

Magician tends to fade into the meaning of other cards when they are talking about doing something, so that Magician’s ‘ do’ phrase is extraneous. This makes Eight of Cups translate ‘ doesn’t,’ a negative modifier, which isn’t its real function. An action card (Six of Pentacles in this case) modified by Eight of Cups ends up saying he isn’t paying, but the literal interpretation would be something like: ‘ What he is doing is, he is not (fill in the other card’s meaningSix of Pentacles in this case).’ So ‘ isn’t paying his bills’ for Eight of Cups and Six of Pentacles … because we would not say ‘ what he is doing is not paying his bills.’ Eight of Cups means ‘ to avoid’ or ‘ avoiding,’ and it would be equally awkward, language-wise, to say ‘ What he is doing is avoiding paying.’ Eight of Cups says ‘ ain’t doin’ it’ with Magician, but Eight of Cups, as I said, isn’t really a negator … that’s not his job as a rule. It’s a matter of phrasing in English.

.

As a member of the justice Tarot tribe, Six of Pentacles may translate ‘right’: treat me right, do what’s proper.

.

As a member of the financial Tarot tribe, Six of Pentacles may translate ‘affordable,’ ‘for that price,’ ‘pays off,’ ‘payback,’ ‘paycheck,’ and ‘pays me for that.’

.

Often the presence of Eight of Cups in a three-card spread makes conflicting stories because Eight of Cups is incompletion, and it can apply to either of the other two cards. In real-life Tarot practice, the question or other ‘knowns’ will supply how to interpret.

.

So Six of Pentacles is getting paid, Magician is doing it, and Eight of Cups can be about not getting paid or not doing it. See? Or getting paid for not doing.

.

The fairness theme of Six of Pentacles extends to legal proceedings: See the scales of justice there? The word ‘dispense’ is called up sometimes, and so is ‘give,’ of course. The ‘dispense’ and ‘give’ meanings stretch to include prescription medications.

. …..      ..

.

NOW WITHOUT THE PICTURES

Magician tends to fade into the meaning of other cards when they are talking about doing something, so that Magician’s ‘do’ phrase is extraneous. This makes Eight of Cups translate ‘doesn’t,’ a negative modifier, which isn’t its real function. An action card (Six of Pentacles in this case) modified by Eight of Cups ends up saying he isn’t paying, but the literal interpretation would be something like: ‘What he is doing is, he is not (fill in the other card’s meaningSix of Pentacles in this case).’ So ‘he isn’t paying his bills’ for Eight of Cups and Six of Pentacles … because we would not say ‘what he is doing is not paying his bills.’ Eight of Cups means ‘to avoid’ or ‘avoiding,’ and it would be equally awkward, language-wise, to say ‘What he is doing is avoiding paying.’ Eight of Cups says ‘ain’t doin’ it’ with Magician, but Eight of Cups, as I said, isn’t really a negator … that’s not his job as a rule. It’s a matter of phrasing in English.

Noticing things not usually noticed today. We are talking about change today: the change that is the effect from things not being done anymore, whether it’s not making payments anymore, not taking those pills anymore, to quit being the one to make the first move. We are talking also about the change that is about things beginning to happen: doing something about not paying bills on time; just doing it with no thought of reward; starting medical treatment and what a nice change; going out of your way to do the right thing, or take the initiative.

Tarot Readings for You for July 20-21, 2017 Thursday-Friday©

Jul 20, 2017 by

This Querant has shared several of her readings with us, and she now shares this one. She now reports the difficult man is back in touch. She wants an update on where he is coming from – his perspective. Four spreads said it all this time, so I stopped there.

.

You can delve into the readings here a little deeper by Googling any pair of the cards in a given spread, or any one card.

.

And you can buy an email reading done this way at the Email Reading navigation tab at the top of this site.

.

[Lesson 13 is completed, for those of you who await news of Tarot Email Training. This is three months’ worth, a decent head start for me, because these lessons take 2 or 3 days sometimes. I am learning a lot as I review Tarot Verbatim in such detail.]

Tarot Readings for You for July 19, 2017 Wednesday©

Jul 18, 2017 by

Here is another email reading from the same gal whose other readings were a downer. This one regards looking down the road for another Prince Charming (Knight of Discs, she calls him, which is Knight of Cups for me).

.

I got a lot of new phrases for meanings of these Rider Waite Tarot cards from this reading – from each sentence – for the dictionary I keep. Subscribers to Tarot Email Training get this dictionary for the cards of that lesson. That project, F.Y.I., will begin in AUGUST. If you sign up now, you will get notice the first part of August that it’s underway. It’s worth it: I have surpassed myself writing the bonus book and the lessons.

.

Meanwhile, you can Google any pair of these cards and get further meanings, or any single card – from the archives of our site here. You can also purchase an email reading of your own up there on the tab labeled that way.
