Tarot Readings for You for May 12, 2013 Sunday(c)

May 11, 2013 by

Guidance      Today we continue our love story of the guy who is very interested and ready to commit to the woman he sees as right for him to be with. The same story is applying to dealing fairly with another person in a transaction of some sort. Relationships with equals are stressed today, one-on-one relationships or deals or transactions. Could be bartering.

Instructions:

Are YOU here for the first time? People love this place!

Here’s what’s going on. See the pictures? Those are the four Rider Waite Tarot cards that make today’s messages (group messages) for you (and the people around you).

The site is divided into four sections. The first is a summary, an overview. That’s Guidance (above).

The second is the actual one-sentence group readings, Group Analytical Tarot Readings. If you have come just for your day’s trends, you can go now. You pick out the ones you intuitively relate to, and decide whether to seek or avoid that. People relate to these! See their comments, at the very bottom. We would *love* to hear from you. Don’t be shy!

.Answers don’t have a question (or a questioner) to frame them, so, yes, they can be contradictory – especially when one of the cards means ‘not’ or other negative word. The negative can apply to any of the other cards. And many of the pronouns are flexible. Feel free to substitute

The third section, Learn Tarot by Observation, is the reasoning that makes those four cards say the things you just read in the sentences. It’s what an expert would be thinking.

The last section, Learn Tarot by Pictures, is the individual meanings of each card, based mostly on its picture, which you are looking at. Read this frequently, and you remember what some of the cards mean.

Temperance

Knight of Pentacles – Empress – Justice

GROUP ANALYTICAL TAROT CARDS READING

.

Tarot Readings: Intimate Relationship, Close Association (Temperance)

He is looking at her as ‘the one woman for me,’ the woman he should have a one-on-one relationship with.

He has one narrow focus on the kind of woman who’s right for him to pair up with.

Make sure this close relationship you are in is right for you, that you are comfortable being in it.

A main factor here is: Her intimate partner is a cop.

He is mindful that he should be having a close association with her, that she is his ideal gal.

The princess should be with a tough macho man.

He deserves a trophy woman at his side: He is obsessed with that.

Macho man and trophy woman should be together.

The guy with one thing on his mind and the sexpot deserve to be together.

The guy aims to be with you, you are right for him, you are gorgeous.

To him, she is the most beautiful woman in the world, and he deserves to be with her.

Tarot Readings: Business – Deal, Partnership, Etc. (Temperance)

One thing to keep in mind is that, for a deal to be right for you, you should be comfortable with it.

Looking to be well off through participating in legitimate deals.

As her lawyer, he aims to negotiate a deal.

He views her as a talented resource who should be on his team.

The only way to deal with the dame is through a legal partnership.

He knows he ought to be on the same side as the woman.

He is equal partners with her, legally, and he knows that is where she sits.

He is partners with the sexy lady: It’s very above-board (proper).

Legally, he must keep her interests in mind: That is the nature of their association.

He intends to make a good-looking woman a partner in his law firm.

Temperance

Knight of Pentacles – Empress – Justice

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Knight of Pentacles is the tough guy, sometimes the punk, is the guy with one thing on his mind, is focused or obsessed, and represents a short fellow probably with muscles and a macho mind.

Empress can be a number of things, but a good-looking and sexy lady is the main trunk of the Empress tree. These are some other things she belongs to: well-off or even wealthy (‘sitting pretty’); spoiled or princessy; comfortable or easygoing (‘laid-back’); pregnant; a talented resource (or talent or resource). Yeah, as the fertility-goddess-derived card, she can be a slut too. Watch her show up in a wife’s reading about the Other Woman.

Temperance is an intimate relationship or intimacy, a close association or friendship, a partnership, two people who are together in anything, standing next to another person, being on the same side as another person, a deal or dealing, a fifty-fifty anything, direct or one-on-one or hand-to-hand transaction. And healing (That’s a healing angel there). It should mean dilution or pouring (decanting wine, perhaps) but I am still waiting for it to.

Then we have Justice, which means ‘should’ and ‘entitled’ or ‘deserve’ and ‘right’ or ‘correct’ most of the time. Anything to do with the justice system or industry in any way falls under Justice’s umbrella: police, lawyer(s), judge, regulations and laws, court proceedings, courtroom, legal service or enforcement, and so on. Put it with a relationship card like Temperance and it means ‘committed.’ It can mean ‘balance’ and ‘normal’ too.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

Knight of Pentacles Pictured is a type of fellow we see a lot of. I think of Danny DeVito or Don Johnson: short, fairly stout, muscled, extroverted, macho or sexy … ‘earthy’ is a good word for the vibe I’m thinking of … possibly even a pushy mouthy type, even a punk. This Tarot Verbatim(TM) card is the guy with one thing on his mind, is focused or obsessed or mindful of (whatever).

Empress She lounges upon elaborate cushions outdoors and is sexy-looking.

Justice One of the most obvious cards, isn’t it? A crowned fellow raises a sword flat-side to us, and holds scales of justice in the other hand. Justice means ‘should’ and ‘entitled’ or ‘deserve’ and ‘right’ or ‘correct’ most of the time.

And healing (That’s a healing angel there). It should mean dilution or pouring (decanting wine, perhaps) but I am still waiting for it to.

EXPLANATIONS:   SKIP THIS (AND THE TAGS) TO GO TO COMMENTS, BELOW.

Each and every ‘Tarot Reading’ sentence you see is a literal interpretation of the four Rider Waite Tarot cards drawn and pictured for today. (The literal interpretation is from the illustration on each card.) These sentences are put together by only combining the phrases of what each cards says. In other words, there are NO “filler” phrases added just to make full sentences, and no psychic ability or spirit guide is ever involved.

Now in an ‘real’ individual reading, the questioner asks a specific question and thereby supplies at least half the information! In a personal reading, the parties are identified and sometimes a time frame is too. Here, in a group reading we cannot do that and so we get a variety of sentences.
Horoscopes are group readings, too. Astrology is based on someone else’s birth data, though, so a ‘solar’ group horoscope never really solidly applies to you! (Astrologers want you to know this!)
Tarot, on the other hand, is perfectly capable of flexibly addressing any group, including all of the visitors that come to this site. It can also address people you might not even know personally, such as all the people at your job who have a say in whether or not you get a raise.

Our Daily Spread for April 6, 2011

Rider_Waite_Tarot_Spread

Think first ‘What kind of a deal is this going to be?’

Page of Cups
Temperance, Knight of Pentacles, Two of Wands

Romantic Perspective:
Which relationship will be the primary one?
He is sure he is going to be in a close relationship but still questions it.
He plans to somehow be the one who is sure of their relationship.
He asks himself whether this will be his only relationship.
He is certain he is going to make an idiot of himself with this partner.

Other Perspectives:
He is sure he is going to side with this idiot.
Is it a plan?  Is this the most important deal?
How is this tough guy going to deal with this?
Is this the only person he will have financial security with?
What mutual plan will we/they focus on?

He is sure he is going to make an idiot of himself with (you).
Think first ‘What kind of a deal is this going to be?’
Is the focus on our mutual financial security?
What is our most important goal?
Will we be in this together? –  That is the only question.

Hmmm.  We have a close relationship or deal, Temperance, and the focus on one thing or most important goal, the Knight of Pentacles, and the plan or financial security – which also puts the sentence into future tense, the Two of Wands, and then the idiot or instructions to put the sentence into question form.  (Okay, which of you is that ‘idiot’ theme following?)

Advice here invites you to wonder and speculate on your immediate future with your intimate partner – maybe to ask yourself ‘What am I doing?’  Not much to this, not much more than that.

Meanings and Illustrations:

Temperance: Dealing with another person, a relationship, being on the same side as, mutual, together, ‘our,’ partner, intimate partner.  The water being poured from one chalice to another suggests an association or a dealing back and forth.

Knight of Pentacles: One thing on his mind in his hard, hard head.  This is the stubborn obsessed macho man.  It can be a brute but doesn’t have to be.  A rough-looking guy stares intently at the money.  His rough-looking horse stares ahead too:  They are well matched.

Two of Wands: Looking out over the ramparts [love that word!] to the town he owns, he plans his financial empire:  It’s a sure thing.

Page of Cups: Huh?  What?  The idiot.  And instructions to put the sentence into a question form.  It means a question, to question, etc.

This is another spread that makes choosing gender (he/she) difficult.  I wrote two sentences on a lot of these because Strength can be the person who is the solution, or a controlling person who is part of the problem, in this particular set of Rider Waite Tarot cards.

Rider_Waite_Tarot_Spread

You are not going to be letting anyone get you involved in their fight

Ten of Pentacles
Three of Swords, Three of Wands, Strength

Romantic Perspective:
Breaking up is going to happen since she is not letting him make trouble with her friends.
She is making trouble with his friends, so he is going to split up with the controlling woman.
Breaking up because she isn’t going to let him interfere in her home life.
Breaking up is what’s going to happen because she interferes in his home life.
Her/The solution to being in a family that continually feuds is divorce.
He is going to be nothing but trouble and she is not going to let him break her heart.
Nothing but trouble with that controlling woman so a divorce is coming.
Incessant sniping makes home life a power struggle. You are not/She is not going to let that continue.
This is a dysfunctional hostile situation in your personal or home life, and you are going to be on top of it.

Family Life Perspective:

Family meetings about disciplining the defiant member will continue.
She is not going to let their hurtful quarreling go on.
She is not going to let anyone get her involved in their fight.
You are not going to be letting anyone get you involved in their fight.
Do not let this hurtful infighting go on.
If you kids keep fighting, mama is going to pin all of you down.
You squabbling kids are going to be shut up.
Prevent the heartache and trouble that is coming to us/them.
She diffuses the wrangling before it becomes hateful.

Business Perspective:
The solution will be to split the organization.
The solution will be to split up the group that is experiencing/causing this problem.
The day is coming that the quarreling factions are shut down.
The group disciplines a person; that person will be quitting.
Will always be a source of dissension; the solution is to fire that person.
Warring factions are being and will be brought under control.
The damage to them is not going to be allowed to continue.
Prevent the damage that will cause such a problem to them.
The day is coming to lay down the law to the infighting members.

Resisting Influences Perspective:
These hostile people are always going to fight among themselves but don’t let it get to you.
She isn’t letting the mores of this petty bunch of people get to her, she resists
Don’t let the mores of the petty bunch of people get to you – resist them.
She resists the influence of their warlike culture:  It isn’t going to get to her.
Resist the influence of their warlike culture and it isn’t going to get to you.
She is not going to let anyone get her involved in their fight.
You are not going to be letting anyone get you involved in their fight.

Miscellaneous Perspective:
They unite in war and they will be pacified.

We have three cards that are warlike, and one that means it will continue.  The Three of Swords means hostility, quarreling, hurting, war, divorce, and the Ten of Pentacles is a bunch of dysfunctional people who don’t get along, who are feuding or quarreling.  Ten of Pentacles is a power struggle among members.  The Strength card is almost always setting things straight, making an intruder behave, preventing harm or preventing an attack, but once in a while she can be a pushy broad, and it’s reasonable when you put her with these other two warlike cards, that she would be part of the aggression.

The female gender of the Strength card is not so strong that it is the girls against the boys here.  But it can be, as when mama is making the kids behave or opting out of a family feud, maybe with in-laws.

Advice in this spread is to not be involved in group animosities, in family feuds, neighborhood wars and infighting at, say, work.  Don’t be interfered with and don’t be drawn into controversies.  As a matter of fact, you might have to make some peace in a somewhat heavy-handed but somewhat diplomatic way.  Maybe making that peace between warring factions that do not include you.  Don’t let the hostilities continue, we are saying here.

Meanings and Illustrations:

Three of Swords: Today the quarreling spectrum of this Rider Waite Tarot card is emphasized by the presence of the Ten of Pentacles, another card that talks about quarreling and not getting along.  Three of swords is divorce, separation, hostility, warlike atmosphere, dissension, split, any heartache you can think of just about.

Three of Wands: Continuing action, now and ahead.  Something will be going on.  Or something is coming.  Illustration shows a fellow watching his ships coming in.

Strength: She diffuses a hostility.  She prevents opposition.  She is the solution.  She won’t let him attack.  She is the lion tamer, she has such strength of character no one crosses her.  Muggers dodge her and obscene phone callers hang up on her. See her pet the lion who wants to eat her but just can’t get himself to  This is where we all need to be.  It would be a perfect world if we were.

Ten of Pentacles: This is the family most of us come from and are trying to avoid replicating in our lives.  This is The Family Carol Burnett put on the small screen.  This is the people who are ‘hard to get along with’ who always seem nevertheless to be in a like-minded group.  Meet the tired stereotypes of controlling head of family and the husband who looks in the other direction when his wife is talking.  Next to this card is the Strength card which means to overcome and make peace and make obstreperous elements behave.

Rider Waite Tarot-3-02-11a

One thing gives him the willies: standing too close to him and talking too much

Temperance
Knight of Pentacles, Nine of Wands, Star

Romantic Perspective:
He knows how important it is (He pressures himself about this!) to say “I love you” to his partner.
He obsesses nervously about how close this relationship is, how in love he is.
A cowboy is self-conscious (Hope nobody’s lookin’.) about confessing his love, being real close.
Being the intimate partner of such a beautiful bodied dame makes a guy fearful.
He has one goal and he sweats it out:  to be the man this goddess is intimate with.

Such a macho man gets nervous when he is alone love-talkin’ with his intimate partner.
As much as he hates it, the one thing he has to do is tell his lady-love all about (this).
Out of all that talk, he focuses on one thing:  he loathes hand-to-hand deals.
One thing gives him the willies:  standing too close to him and talking too much.
She gushes to a macho man about how in love with him she is as if they were already close, and this is torture to him.
A guy forces himself to say that mushy ‘I love you’ stuff to his woman in private.

This is another Johnny-one-note spread.  Forget about business, we begin with intimacy, Temperance, and then end with confessing love, Star.  In between is the macho dude, Knight of Pentacles, with one thing on his mind … What else could it be, with the other cards saying what they say? … and the Nine of Wands, being on guard, sweating it out, dreading and feeling mighty uneasy about this.

Advice to derive from these four Rider Waite Tarot cards is that guys hate being mushy.  A real cowboy would rather kiss his horse at the end of the movie.  He is under a lot of pressure when it comes to intimacy, maximum pressure when it comes to admitting intimacy.

Meanings and Illustrations:

Temperance: Intimacy.  One-on-one closeness.  A hand-to-hand deal.  Intimate partner.  Physically close.  Illustration shows an angel mixing water and wine.  This card therefore should mean dilution, but it never has for me … even with the water pouring in the Star card.  The angel has a symbol of healing on his chest.  Today all we mean is closeness and intimacy.

Knight of Pentacles: One thing on the macho dude’s mind.  Today, it’s love, and he’s nervous about it.  This is the rough guy, the short pugnacious fella who is as tough as his horse.

Nine of Wands: Oh, we’re under pressure, uneasy, dreading it but hanging in there sweating it out.  Illustration is a border guard who is still on the job with a head injury.  It’s coming baaack, whatever it is.

Star: Pouring out love, gushing mush confessions all over the place.  We see a naked lady pouring water into a pond.  Is she bathing?  Well she is signing or performing sometimes.  Here the card is just talking about confessing love.

Rider Waite Tarot-3-02-11b

Daddy will always do for mama

Queen of Wands
Magician, Three of Wands, Emperor

He has power to get things done but she will always rule the household.
He will always be the one who acts like the head man, but she is the head woman.
He and she are in charge of this place, but he will be the one who acts like that.
Her income runs the house but he is the acting head of household.
Her old man makes the money and she runs the house.

Daddy will always do for mama.
What they each do brings the money in.  He is the boss, and she manages the place.
Good things are going to happen because of what the old man did:  It is her home.
The wife’s father makes the money.
She and her old man make the money.

Well, the best advice I can make of these four Rider Waite Tarot cards is that a couple who divides up what they are in charge of, when both of them are making money, have a continuing future.

The first card (Magician) means to do in all forms of the verb, and then we have income (Three of Wands) and then the man in power, the Emperor, and the woman in power, the Queen of Wands.  So two people who are in charge are making money, and someone or another is doing something.

Meanings and Illustrations:

Magician: Conjugate the verb ‘do’ and ya got it for the basic meaning of this Rider Waite Tarot card, keeping in mind it is most often a man or male who is doing, and that it also means things like ‘to bring it about’ and ‘to start’ or initiate.  Illustration shows the man acting out a magic ritual, getting something or another accomplished by doing that.

Three of Wands: It’s coming, income is coming to someone or something, on a continuing basis.  Just wait for the profit.  Illustration shows his ships coming in, and he is watching them approach.

Emperor: He is grandpa, the old man, the authority, the federal level, God the Father or daddy.  He has the title.  Illustration shows an old man sitting upright looking very important indeed, because he is important.

Queen of Wands: She runs the place – house or business.  She is the hands-on manager.  She is mama or the wife.  This is a competent no-nonsense practical female.  She does not have to exert authority.  Illustration shows that sort of a woman with a board in her right hand and a black cat sitting there lookin’ at ya indicating she can be witchy if she has to?
