Tarot Readings for You for October 9-10, 2017 Monday-Tuesday©

GUIDANCE       You value friends who are generous when you are short of money … or of love, and you do the same for them, it’s only fair. Sometimes you are generous and sometimes you are cheap in dealing with people. It’s fair to withhold something you know from an old friend in order to keep the relationship sweet. But mostly it’s the people you trust that you share your deepest darkest feelings with.

.

.

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in!

People love this place! Our site is divided into three sections: Guidance; Group Tarot Cards Readings; Learn Tarot by Observing and Learn Tarot by Pictures.

So what do you want to do? –

GET A SINGLE CARD’S MEANINGS: TYPE ITS NAME AND ‘TAROT VERBATIM’ INTO GOOGLE

.

Four of Pentacles You gotta watch Four of Pentacles: Some of its meanings are opposites. Because in the illustration he is grasping, holding onto, his money he is associated with deep feelings and cherishing something precious – even meaning to hug, at times, because, well, he is hugging himself and his coins. But he is commonly titled The Miser because he is holding onto the money like that; yet he is the outsider because he is alone, hunkered down outside of the town.

.

He has secrets or something to hide but is associated with deep feeling.

.

And this is one of the main cards that will show up to indicate any kind of deficit or being short of something, or ‘not enough.’

.

So Four of Pentacles covers a wide swath when you go to apply it to your story. Put him next to a love card and he can love deeply or not enough or both. (You look to the other cards and the story in the question.)

.

Today in association with Three of Pentacles his financial side is emphasized. And today with Six of Cups his deep feeling is emphasized; Six of Cups is trust and good feeling between (old) friends, and even a gift – which can get applied to the money side of your story – giving money (or even not spending much for a gift).

.

(If you are researching Four of Pentacles today, if you have the time, Google it with ‘Tarot Verbatim’ after it, and get the tell-all from the archives of this site.)

.

Four of Pentacles sometimes serves as refusing, translating ‘won’t,’ which comes from ‘won’t talk about it.’ This usually relates to ‘not opening up’ or being emotionally shut down, maybe sulking? Four of Cups owns that meaning but Four of Pentacles borrows it. (And even Four of Swords isn’t responding!)

.

Today most of the meanings we use for Four of Pentacles are about a deficit, and here are some of those words: not much of a; isn’t as good as; can’t afford to; unrewarding; is not worth much; not much; holds me back; don’t much; not as much; less profitable, is not enough, a lot less. Along this same line, Four of Pentacles represents a bargain: for a good price; you save money.

.

Keeping a secret is one of Four of Pentacles’ common themes. Today we use these: secret; private; are sealed; but won’t admit it; don’t talk about; something to hide.

.

Four of Pentacles attracts phrases with the word ‘holding’ in them both as holding onto, holding out for, and others. In a criminal case, Four of Pentacles may be holding the contraband. ‘Holding’ goes along with ‘possession’ there, both of which are Four of Pentacles words.

Three of Pentacles Today Three of Pentacles extends itself to use all of its main meanings: relationship; business transactions and deal with; legal; agree; meet; each party doing his part. Thank you, Three!

.

As you know if you have been around here for a while, Three of Pentacles’ most frequent meanings are about equitable relationships of any sort. It takes another card to make it a bad relationship.

.

What you see here is a friendly negotiation about getting paid in a contract. The architect demonstrates the building was built as the contract specified. It’s both the contract and the negotiation, the settling up, that makes Three of Pentacles a legal card in Tarot Verbatim.

.

The meeting, getting together, the interaction, is another crop of meanings for Three of Pentacles.

.

A contract is an agreement; they are having an agreeable meeting and a meeting to agree – agree it’s time for the worker to be paid. It’s a friendly social interaction too. All these things belong to Three of Pentacles.

.

Another large category of words and phrases for Three of Pentacles are all about people doing their part, or a person doing his/her part with other people. Doing your part fair and square – a fair deal – is Three of Pentacles.

.

You will find this card showing up frequently in your readings, more frequently than most others, because its meanings are so common and because it blends so well with its Tarot-mates.

Six of Cups Six of Cups has a lot of seemingly unrelated meanings, and we use a lot of them today. Its story is a little boy gives his little girl friend flowers in front of where they live. The artwork suggests sweetness as Knight of Cups’ does. The old buildings, the old-fashioned dress of the kids, and the idea of romance and children blends to: past romances, childhood, the good old days, one’s background, the way things used to be ….

.

Besides children, romance, and the past, Six of Cups also is about trust, a gift, a house (particularly an old house, a cute house, a cottage, etc. – and old friends.

.

Six of Cups is nostalgic. Six of Cups is Home Sweet Home.

.

Four of Pentacles is famous for being stingy, and Six of Cups is giving a gift, so we have both generosity and selfishness represented, along with Three of Pentacles: a fair exchange. Obviously, we have stories, maybe have distinctions. In real life, the question or subject the reader has in mind would determine what kind of story we have, but without that question here on this site, we have all the stories.

.

All three of these cards have disparate meanings, and many of them, that are held together by elements of their illustrations. This gives us many stories, many subjects we could cover. For example: If you use the ‘ secret’ meaning of Four of Pentacles, you have a secret transaction, or trade secrets, with Three of Pentacles; and you have secret love, or secrets kept from a loved on, with Six of Cups.

.

And if you use the ‘ deficiency’ meaning of Four of Pentacles, you are on a very tight budget, or the business is short of money, or there’s not much business, when Three of Pentacles joins it. When Six of Cups joins it, secret love or not enough romance, or not very romantic, might be the story.

.

The fact we are using common, main, meanings for all the cards indicates accuracy – of course, that’s accuracy if you were working with a question!

I can make do on a shoestring budget moneywise, but I hold out for a mutually lavish give-and-take love relationship or none at all. So I can do without money, and I can do without romance until someone who does his or her part comes along.

Tarot Readings for You for October 20, 2013 Sunday(c)

Oct 19, 2013 by

Guidance      We describe an attitude of not being so concerned about whether our exchanges with other people are fair or not. Old friends and lovers exchange openheartedly, free-spiritedly. Then there’s the careful, measured exchange in a business deal. Then there’s the resentful exchange a giver has with a demanding party. We say it doesn’t matter, it’s all good, who cares about attitude? “She’s having a cranky day, that’s all: Our relationship is storybook.” And “Who cares if someone feels cheated who wasn’t?”

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in!

People love this place! Our site is divided into four sections: Guidance, Tarot Readings, Learn Tarot by Observation, and Learn Tarot by Pictures.
If you just want your daily look ahead, Guidance and Tarot Readings are all you need. ‘Guidance’ (above) is a summary of what the cards are telling visitors to be aware of this day.

‘Group Tarot Cards Reading’ (just below this) is the actual word-for-word messages to everyone. These readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. So, go ahead and pick the sentences you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them for yourself.

Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow. The family of commenters here would love for you to join in (the very last thing, at the bottom).

Tarot Readings: Loved Ones’ Expectations (Six of Cups and Queen of Swords)

She expects a mutually loving relationship and presumes she has one.

He loves her, so he instinctively delivers the sweetness she expects.

He’s a really sweet kid having a relationship with such a bitch.

For no reason at all, whenever she is mad with him, he does his part so sweetly.

She has no idea she is in a triangle relationship. She would be mad.

She wants the bills paid, never mind about giving her flowers.

Mama assumed we had a deal on a grandchild she expects.

He has no idea she is irritated with him; he assumes he is doing his part romantically.

Whatever it is she wants and isn’t getting, give her flowers – that’s your fair share.

As far as she is concerned, he is there to cater to her needs in this relationship, that’s all.

She’s just having a cranky day, that’s all: We have a storybook relationship.

She wants children but all he wants is a relationship.

This edgy woman has no idea of having children in this relationship.

She is mad about his meeting with the old flame, and he is oblivious to that.

Tarot Readings: Give them a Good Deal (Three of Pentacles and Six of Cups)

It’s a deal: (We) just give them what they demand.

Doing business is a breeze: You give people what they expect.

Forget about getting the asking price on the contract on the old house.

I gave her more than what was fair; I don’t care if she feels shortchanged.

I may as well give the grumpy lady what she thinks is her fair share.

Tarot Readings: Mama and the Kids (Six of Cups and Queen of Swords)

A mean mama has good kids who naturally do what she expects.

She disciplines the children so lovingly they do their part without even thinking about it.

She is stressed about meeting with people who don’t know a thing about her child’s case.

Your old mama assumes the same relationship you had when you were a kid.

When we get together with the mother-in-law, she acts as if (he) is still her little kid.

Your kids annoy her, so she ignores them and deals just with you.

The settlement is for the children; they ignore what the adult woman has a right to.

Tarot Readings: Friends Don’t Think About (Six of Cups and Fool)

They meet as old friends and don’t care about her criticism.

The old lady has been friends such a long time she is oblivious to what’s fair.

I guess it’s fair enough to give a dear friend what she is expecting.

Old friends don’t think in terms of not getting their fair share in an exchange.

Now,  Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the messages.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the four cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.

Queen of Swords

Three of Pentacles – Six of Cups – Fool

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Three of Pentacles starts us off with an exchange – social, contract, business – or a meeting. Look for three people when this card comes up, especially if you see Three of Cups too. Three of Pentacles is about doing your part fair and square.

Then Six of Cups is about giving – also an exchange – and it is about old friends, loved one(s), trust, and an old home. Three of Pentacles and Six of Cups together suggest generosity in an exchange, suggest dealing generously with someone.

Fool just isn’t keeping track and doesn’t care – is oblivious – this doesn’t matter. Six of Cups and Fool are both cards of youth, incidentally. Fool bolsters the theme we have going here about a generous exchange with an old friends: Old friends don’t keep track of how fair their exchanges are, which is expressed by Three of Pentacles and Fool.

With Queen of Swords, we introduce as a factor in our story someone who is keeping track, someone who is feeling shortchanged, not getting what she expects, being demanding or whiny. Three of Pentacles and Queen of Swords tell of someone feeling cheated in the deal, someone did not get a fair shake. This is mama, grandma, the old lady – even the nag. It is a person with an actual grievance, or a person who enjoys playing the martyr. Six of Cups and Queen of Swords, though, turn her into the disciplinarian of the child or children – but these two Rider Waite Tarot cards also say “She’s just having a cranky day; we have a storybook relationship.” Queen of Swords and Fool is where we get “Never mind that someone feels shortchanged,” because Fool is that ‘never mind’ vibe.

So our message is all about an exchange. The gist of what these four Rider Waite Tarot cards have to say is: Don’t sweat the small change in your dealings with people, and never mind if someone feels cheated who wasn’t.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

.

Three of Pentacles An architect meets with his clients and is demonstrating, with the blueprint, that he has perfected the construction and is entitled to his final draw, which is legal settlement in full of their contract. Three of Pentacles means meeting (especially three people), a business deal, each party doing its part fairly, settling up, relationship, paying up as agreed. It is getting together about something, putting our heads together, doing our part in a relationship with one another. Three of Pentacles applies to any relationship – love, business, social, etc.

Six of Cups Little Boy is giving Little Girl flowers. Behind them is an estate or apartment building. Both are well-dressed. The art style is kitsch, a warm and fuzzy representation of old friends, true love, the good old days, nostalgia, old-fashioned, love, love of the past, the sweet life. Six of Cups represents a cozy or quaint house or neighborhood too.

Fool So who’s keeping track? – not me, I don’t care. Just let it be.  Don’t even think about it.  Assume.  May as well be oblivious, having no idea like a free-spirited youngster.  Just for no reason at all instinctually.  What, me worry? – I am just skipping along by the cliff with my trusty equally playful and oblivious puppy, and all will be well.

Queen of Swords Here’s who’s keeping track.  The old lady is dissatisfied and grumpy about being slighted and shortchanged here.  She demands things be rectified and that she get what’s rightfully hers, or what she thinks is rightfully hers … now would be good.  There’s the righteous old lady with her hand out, with that Nurse Ratchett look on her face.  She is the bitch card, the mother, the mother-in-law, the plaintiff or complainant.  She is you when you are righteously indignant.

Eight of Swords

Chariot, Three of Pentacles, Six of Cups

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

Three of Pentacles and Six of Cups are about relationship – and the latter is romance, an old friend, someone you trust. The former covers transactions and contracts, doing your part, as well as meetings and agreements.

Chariot is the responsible man who gets the job done, who is very deliberate and very strategic about achieving his purpose. This Rider Waite Tarot card in Tarot Verbatim (TM) also stands for success, the project being achieved, and using factors that are against your purpose to achieve your purpose. Oh, it’s a vehicle too – any conveyance at all.

Eight of Swords is the brakes, the impeding factor. It means impossible and can’t, and even means death.

Our story is pretty much about achieving something next-to-impossible as a team or with others. It’s also about achieving a sincere and solid love relationship. As usual, Tarot Verbatim (TM) equate love and business.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

Chariot is the responsible man who gets the job done, who is very deliberate and very strategic about achieving his purpose. This Rider Waite Tarot card in Tarot Verbatim (TM) also stands for success, the project being achieved, and using factors that are against your purpose to achieve your purpose. Oh, it’s a vehicle too – any conveyance at all.

Three of Pentacles covers transactions and contracts, doing your part, as well as meetings and agreements. Mainly, this Rider Waite Tarot card in Tarot Verbatim (TM) is relationship. The negotiations we do when we deal with other people are the same … feeling one another out as to ‘What will they want for what I want them to do?’ in romance, business and whatever else there is (if there is anything else).

Six of Cups Here we have childhood, the past, sweet memories, sweet past love, giving gifts or receiving them, romance, an old friend, someone you trust … and trust itself. It is a quaint old house. All of these warm and fuzzy feelings that we attach to various things. Little Boy gives Little Girl flowers illustrates that warm fuzzy feeling quite well.

Eight of Cups People say ‘My hands are tied’ when they really mean ‘I can’t’ which in turn really means ‘I don’t want to.’ Eight of Swords covers being helpless (even dead), unable to, blocked. It represents the impeding factor(s), what holds you back, and down time or disability.

I N S T R U C T I O N S  &  Explanations  (Comments are below this.)

Did you come here just for your predictions? – If so, you are done when you finish reading the sentences of Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading.

Each Tarot sentence is a literal-interpretation reading of the scenes pictured on the four cards you see. Only what each of the cards says – phrase by phrase – no fillers – no psychic ability used. The readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. Tarot, all by itself, talks to you. This is a demonstration of that .

Tarot will address any group flexibly, as it does here of ‘all the visitors.’ (It can address ‘all the people at work who have a say in my raise,’ for instance, without you knowing who or where those people are.)

Horoscopes are group readings too.

Astrology has to be based on someone else’s birth data, though, so it does not solidly apply to you just because of where the sun was when you were born. (Astrologers know this.)

Emily wants to know whether these sentences are more accurate for regular visitors than for people who have come only a few times. Would you help with a comment, if that is who you are? Please?

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things,  especially when the Spread has a card that means ‘no, never or not.’ That negative modifier can apply to any one of the cards.

Without a question also the pronouns (you, him, her, me, us, them, they, etc.) in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute.  Notice how, as much as possible, we drop pronouns, which makes for some awkward phrasing.

The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information! In a ‘real’ reading, the parties are identified (including the gender of the questioner!), and so is the time frame if there is one. In this group reading, we cannot do that, so we have variety.

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim ™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing. This tells the thinking regarding the combined four pictures in the Daily Spread –  the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the message.

*Go to Learn Tarot by the Pictures.  This is the meaning of each separate card.  This is how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in this Spread.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim ™ works. Regular visitors actually learn to read Tarot without trying. The Tarot Talks tab has some examples for students.

P. S. Call Emily for your personal live reading at 800 99 3 6 9 12 (from Eastern 1 p. m. to Eastern 1 a. m. at least, every day). Emily analyzes relationships in business situations and personal situations accurately from *Tarot, *intuitive, and *practical perspectives. She tells you what is happening and what to do about it to make it happen best. (Testimonials about this are on the web site http://EmilysInsight.com and here under its Tab, and in Comments.)

Our Daily Spread for December 5, 2011 Monday ©

Dec 5, 2011 by

Advice centers around the importance of trust in a business deal or relationship.  The more trust there is among the people who get together to make a business,  the more likely the enterprise is to succeed.  This is true of a couple and this is true of a family.  Even a nation whose leaders reflect the values and lifestyles of citizens functions better.  A person who has the ability to get people to work together trusting one another is a person whose enterprise succeeds.

Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do:

*Go to Advice above which is a summary of the Messages. (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.)

*Go to Group Analytical Tarot Reading below. One or more of those sentences has something to say to you. Intuitively pick those out. They are about you and the people around you. They are about today and the days around it. (It is a group message like a horoscope, except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data, so it can be specific, accurate, detailed and direct. Our experiment here is “How much more accurate is it?”)

Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information!

Do you want to know a little,  or a lot,  about how this Tarot Verbatim ™ thing works?  If so,

*Go to Meanings and Illustrations:  Observation of the Spread section below.  This tells about the combined four pictures in the Daily Spread –  the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together to mean things.

*Go to Meanings and Illustrations:  Individual Rider Waite Tarot Cards.  It is what each of the four cards,  by itself,  has to say.  It describes how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in this Spread.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim ™ works.

Say hello back! Comment! I spend two hours a day or more writing these to you. Remember to share your experience about our experiment here if you have words for it. Read others’ comments.

.

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD

Each of these cards has many main meanings.  So right away you know you are going to have lots of different messages here. Immediately apparent are legal phrases like fiduciary relationship (which I did not use),  enforceable contract or agreement,  passive beneficiary to a contract,  agreement re child support.  Three of Pentacles is a contract or agreement and is also court proceedings,  as well as a real estate closing.  Ace of Swords is to enforce,  and an order.  Six of Cups is trust (fiduciary) and also an award.

Anytime you see Six of Cups,  there’s romance and probably children.  Six of Cups + Three of Pentacles = Romantic Relationship.  And here’s High Priestess,  the Lady as well as the Other Woman,  the quiet one who knows all and is unassertive (except the Ace of Swords might impinge on that as assertiveness).

Going on down the line,  Three of Pentacles is a real estate closing as well as a contract and an agreement,  and Six of Cups is a house –  often an old house,  a quaint house or cottage,  an apartment building.  It also means to receive so it could refer to the commission of the real estate closing.

Then High Priestess is spiritual or the spiritual plane,  Three of Pentacles is dealing and Ace of Swords is power.

Three of Pentacles + Six of Cups is also dealing with the past or with childhood.

Lots of stories today.

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS

Ace of Swords Foremost,  absolute,  total or totally,  must,  force or make or order,  enforce,  assert,  achieve or win a victory or  ‘aced,’  conquer or dominate,  discipline or willpower,  take matters into your own hands,  and a weapon.  Ace of Swords owns that groove,  and its very fitting illustration in Rider Waite Tarot is a hand grasping a sword which is crowned with a victory wreath.  Of course with total victory comes total defeat on the opposite side,  and once in a while that is the meaning,  but not often unless there is a theme that establishes that meaning.

Six of Cups has a few main meanings,  more than most.  Romance,  children,  childhood,  being good,  childlike,  innocence,  the past,  nostalgia,  sweetness and the good old days,  history and olden times.  Gives,  a gift,  receives,  trust and fiduciary,  beneficiary,  benefit.  Then it speaks at times of real estate too –  an old house,  a quaint house or cottage,  an apartment building.

All these meanings arise from the little boy giving the little girl flowers in front of a quaint-looking large building,  and the kids are dressed in clothes from the olden times.

Three of Pentacles Very pronounced main meanings for this Rider Waite Tarot citizen.  Relationship,  meeting,  deal,  agreement,  mutual,  contract,  negotiate,  each party doing his/her/its part,  get together.  Those are the main ones.  Incidental ones include an inspection,  (final) payment,  real estate closing,  get along with.

Pictured is an architect doing an inspection of his work with his clients who have the blueprint in their hands.  The final draw,  the largest payment which is the profit,  is his when this inspection is approved.

High Priestess represents the feminine principle of receptivity and deep knowledge.  A woman is seated between the pillars of justice and mercy,  key thoughts to the Kabbalah,  with the sliver moon beneath her feet.  In real life,  this Rider Waite Tarot card means lady,  ladylike,  quiet woman,  keeping quiet,  she knows,  she knows and isn’t acting on it,  she knows and isn’t divulging,  the other woman,  feminine,  sedentary,  passive,  knowing the unknown or the secret,  expert,  the spiritual plane,  spiritual,  the mental plane or mental,  book,  bookkeeper,  unassertive or passive,  to know about.

Advice is talking about exchanges.  There’s the openhearted free-spirited exchange as between old friends and sweet lovers.  There’s the fair exchange in a business deal.  There’s the mean-spirited exchange between a giver and a demander.  We seem to be saying it doesn’t matter,  it’s all good,  who cares about the attitudes.  She’s just having a cranky day,  that’s all:  Our relationship is storybook.

DAILY MESSAGE TAROT ANALYSIS

Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.

.

Romantic Perspective

She assumes she is getting the loving relationship she expects.

He is in love with this demanding lady instinctively delivering the sweetness she expects.

He’s just a really sweet kid having a relationship with such a bitch.

For no reason at all,  whenever she is mad with him,  he does his part so sweetly.

She has no idea she is in a triangle relationship,  she would be mad.

She does not care whether she gets any flowers,  she wants him to pay the mortgage.

He has no idea she is irritated with him,  he assumes he is doing his part sweetly.

Oh,  whatever it is she wants and isn’t getting,  give her flowers and that’s doing your part.

As far as she is concerned,  he is there to cater to her needs in this relationship,  that’s all.

She’s just having a cranky day,  that’s all:  Our relationship is storybook.

She wants children,  all he wants is a relationship.

She has no idea of having children in this relationship.

Business Perspective

It’s a deal:  (We) just gave them their demand.

A meeting about the child’s case:  They have no theory.  The mother is stressed.

Doing business is a breeze:  You give demanding people good service.

Forget about getting the asking price on the contract on the old house.

She is mad about his meeting with the old flame,  and he is oblivious to that.

Children Perspective

She has nice children because she is a mean mama.  They just do what is expected,  and don’t know any better.

She disciplines the children so lovingly they do their part without even thinking about it.

Mama thought we had a deal on a grandchild.

You may as well give the grumpy old lady what she thinks is her fair share.

Your old mama assumes you still have the relationship you did when you were a kid.

When we get together with the mother-in-law she acts as if (he) is still her little kid.

Your kids annoy her,  so she ignores them and transacts just with you.

The settlement is for the children,  they ignore the adult woman’s complaint.

Friendship Perspective

They meet as old friends and don’t care about her criticism.

The old lady has been friends such a long time she is oblivious to what’s fair.

I guess it’s fair enough to give an dear friend what she is expecting.

Friends don’t even think of whether an exchange is fair or not and feel shortchanged!

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD

An exchange (even a contract or business deal) is the way we start.  Three of Pentacles.  Then we have giving generously,  affectionately,  Six of Cups –  an old friend and sweetness.  Then we have being oblivious or not keeping track,  just … Fool.  Then the critical grumpy shortchanged demanding mother-in-law,  mama or old woman who is keeping track.  So it’s all about an exchange.

Youth is in both Six of Cups and Fool.  An exchange is in both Three of Pentacles and Six of Cups.

,

,

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS

Three of Pentacles     It’s a deal,  it’s a relationship in which each party does his fair share.  It’s a settlement.  It’s final payment as agreed.  It’s a contract.  It’s a meeting,  almost always of three people.  We put our heads together.  Our illustration shows the architect demonstrating to the clients that the building meets the blueprints,  to qualify for his payoff.

Six of Cups We have a friendly exchange.  A sweet relationship as of old friends in an old-fashioned way.  Giving sweetly and generously out of the heart.  Photo of Little Boy giving Little Girl flowers.  The good old days hauntingly.

Fool  So who’s keeping track –  not me,  I don’t care.  Just let it be.  Don’t even think about it.  Assume.  May as well be oblivious,  having no idea like a free-spirited youth.

She demands things be rectified and she get what’s rightfully hers,  or what she thinks is rightfully hers … now would be good.  There’s the righteous old lady with her hand out and that Nurse Ratchett look on her face.  She is the bitch card,  the mother,  the mother-in-law,  the plaintiff or complainant.  She is you when you are righteously indignant.
