Guidance

Life is always becoming. There’s no skipping to the end of the book to find out how it all ends; we live page by page. Our best friend becomes our lover. We withdraw and relocate for a better offer. We become a better person through the influence of a good friend. We help someone get out of a social situation that is due partly to their psychology. Our hope for the future is often pinned to our past condition.

Could This Be You?

GUIDANCE Did you come here for Your Daily Predictions? Good! Guidance provides your predictions in a summary. It is the Guidance received for you through three Rider Waite Tarot™ cards, using Tarot Verbatim™.

GROUP TAROT READINGS Here are several one-sentence readings that are predictions for you and the people around you for today and the days around it. Here Tarot is talking to you: These sentences express word-for-word, verbatim, the meanings of those three Tarot cards. You choose which sentences apply to you, and you choose whether to encourage them or not.

SYNOPSIS Located right after the Group Tarot Cards Reading sentences, is a deeper expression of today’s Guidance. Read this too for your predictions. Here you complete your predictions experience. The rest of the page is more about learning to love and learn Tarot Verbatim™.

LEARN TAROT CARDS BY PICTURES Are you ready to begin learning Tarot Verbatim™? Here your in-depth meanings come alive for each of the three cards! In Tarot Verbatim™, pictures make the meaning, so each card is like a person you know and remember.

WITHOUT THE PICTURES For the true seeker of Tarot knowledge, here is what you need to know about how the three cards in today’s spread affect one another, and how to apply Tarot Verbatim™. Here too the cards come alive, together.

WHERE EACH PHRASE COMES FROM At a glance, with a color for each card, your subconscious picks up on how the sentences of GROUP TAROT CARDS READING came to be. You feel how individual card meanings reach out and blend, unite, into a sentence. (You can learn this – yes, you!) Your subconscious awareness sees the image and its feeling and your conscious awareness sees the language meaning, the text… so your two minds focus together to see 3D, three dimensionally, the same way your two eyes see depth that one eye does not.

PHRASES FOR ALL THREE TWO CARD COMBINATIONS Are you ready for the final step of this revolutionary Tarot Verbatim™ technique? Now to make it exceedingly plain and simple, we list the expressions each pair of cards makes. We list them in paragraph form rather than itemized so that they flow, and your subconscious clicks into place and ‘gets it.’ You may even find flashes of dreams or intuitive realities as you read these, at times.

The Rider Waite Tarot™ deck is a data bank in mass consciousness that your subconscious can communicate with. Tarot Verbatim™ is the Rosetta Stone that makes that communication easy because it is a bridge between conscious and subconscious thought. When both your levels of awareness focus together, you think intuitively in real time in ‘the real world.’

Bon voyage!

Synopsis

Moving on. I’m not in a cramped situation every time it’s time to move on; I’ve just mined this turf for all I can get out of it, and another turf is beckoning. Saying goodbye is sadder if there’s nothing to hate, isn’t it?

Ace of Cups

Ace of Cups

There’s a flow from God (the symbols of the dove, the wafer, the ‘fives senses’ that the five streams represent) into the ocean of mass consciousness. The picture is taken from Ste. Teresa d’Avila’s Interior Castles, a heavy mystical writing considered by scholars to be the premier mystical work of Western civilization. The fountain is fed from the bottom and flows endlessly, representing the love and support of God (if I remember right).

With this in mind, Ace of Cups’ meanings hold together: the flow, the easiness of it, love, true love, unconditional love, health, help, God, peace, cooperation.

Six of Swords

Six of Swords

They leave town quietly, with the help of a friend and his little boat, with the clothes on their backs at dusk. Tomorrow is a better day when they get wherever they are headed, mostly because it could not be worse than where they are leaving.

Although Six of Swords makes a lot of phrases, many of them vernacular (slang), they boil down to these categories: Leaving; things are getting better; putting it (or someone) behind, or putting the past behind; bad times are over, or you get over it. This last concept also is expressed as ‘after what I have been through’ or ‘after he goes through hard times.’

Knight of Cups

Knight of Cups

Knight of Cups shares some meanings with Ace of Cups. Both are above love, help, cooperating, agreeable, peace, accepting. So you find them trading off as to who gets the phrase they both mean, and who gets ‘the other one.’

Knight of Cups wears Mercury’s wings on his helmet, and his horse is a cute pony who is standing still, pawing the ground like horses do when they have been there for a while. He has the cup (of peace and friendship) ready to offer someone (anyone). So the meanings Knight of Cups brings are related to those things: Offer and acceptance, suggestion and accepting, Lover and loving, help, friend, friend who takes initiative, taking initiative, person who comes to you, seeking or looking for (usually affection or love or friendship), and peace.

And of course, since ‘meanings apply both ways’ in Tarot, Knight of Cups is also the guy you love, not just the guy who loves you.

Now Without The Pictures

Six of Swords is one of those cards that tends to take over your spread and be the main subject (as it does today where the other two cards mean pretty much the same things). Its picture tells all. A woman and child leave ‘with the clothes on their backs,’ carrying no possessions, huddled as in suffering loss, paddled away by a friend who helps, in the friend’s open paddle boat. It’s twilight. (We don’t use the ‘journey’ meanings of Six of Swords today.

So Six of Swords means leaving or putting something behind for something better. “There will be better days” is the main Six of Swords concept: improvement, progress, recovering. So it has two moods: The regretful defeated feeling of having to give up one thing, and the hopeful feeling that it’s over and something better … at least may … be ahead. Note that Six of Swords can address the now, address the past, address the future, or address the difference between the past and the future. It’s a useful card regarding time that way. Twilight, of course is ‘two lights,’ meaning sun and moon, which reflects the ‘timing’ theme of Six of Swords. It also reflects ‘the end of one thing and the beginning of another,’ which Eight of Cups stands for as well (and that’s what Death means in other Tarot systems). And, by the way, Six of Swords represents ‘the departed’ whether departure is in a vehicle or is a death. But Six of Swords is not a card about the subject of death.

Six of Swords makes ‘timing’ phrases like: from now on, phase out, used to, no longer, gets through or going through, now that you’re leaving, is becoming, bygones, on the way out, moved on, bad times are over, when he departed, and ‘while’ phrases like ‘while you were away.’

As you know if you have been here a few times, points are made by Tarot in the way the cards in your spread have overlapping or similar meanings. So, Note that a friend is helping the woman and child in the boat escape their situation, and Knight of Cups means ‘a friend helps.’

So our Six of Swords is the middle card, with two cards on either side who have many overlapping meanings. Ace of Cups and Knight of Cups both mean love, help, cooperating, agreeing or being agreeable, peace, accepting, and a friendly relaxed situation. You see this and know that your spread is definitely a story about those things.

And it is, of course. Our message is about moving on into a better space ahead, and about having or being the friend or lover who helps. So today’s trend is good times are in store for us.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the messages.

*Go to Learn Tarot by the Pictures.  It is what each of the four cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.

Five of Wands

Ace of Cups – Knight of Cups – Hermit

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Three cards’ meanings dovetail into lots of similar themes today. Five of Wands is the spoiler. Look at this! Straight across Ace of Cups and Knight of Cups and Hermit all refer to: being good; receiving some benefit; friendship and friends; love, in one form or another. All are about helping or being helped as well.

Knight of Cups and Hermit are helping others. Ace of Cups and Knight of Cups mean cooperating. Knight of Cups and Hermit are coming to the other person, taking initiative, making the first move. Knight of Cups and Hermit both mean ‘friend.’

Ace of Cups is God and God-related subjects; Hermit, as as the monk, serves God. This gives us a spiritual theme. Both of these two cards also refer to healing and health.

The Christian symbolism in Tarot is of a more recent origin than Tarot itself. Tarot was introduced to the West at a time when the Roman Catholic church was the order of the day in Europe. Mr. Waite included those cards in the Rider Waite deck, and Pamela Coleman Smith drew the cathedrals and other Christian setting when she did the illustrations. (Wiccans often object to the Rider Waite deck.)

Lastly, we have the spoiler, Five of Wands. It balances some meanings that, when applied, are contradictory in context: It means to fight, to resist, to be against; but it also means trying hard, and putting a lot of energy into something, anything. Five of Wands also refers to exercise, which echoes the health theme of Ace of Cups and Hermit.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

.

Ace of Cups refers to the ideal human state of having divine energy flow through a clear channel. The five senses and five bodily fluids (medieval concept) are the five streams you see out of the cup (of consciousness). The dove symbolizes the Holy Spirit, and it has the Catholic wafer used in the Holy Communion ceremony. (This is one of the cards modified in the Middle Ages to sanctify the use of Tarot, the devil’s tool.)

Meanings are ‘all benefit, no harm,’ love, gentle, God or Divinity, good health, cooperation, easy or ease up, advice to ‘Go with the flow,’ good, wholehearted, a blessing, a flow of any liquid (even a leak).

Knight of Cups is that knight in shining armor we hear tell of. Prince Charming himself. The Good Guy incarnate. He is the Boyfriend in love. He is the one to first offer his hand in friendship, love, apology or peacemaking. He is the helpful assistant, the one who makes favorable press via his native diplomacy. This is the warm puppy dude you cuddle with. On a good night, he plays the violin. This Rider Waite Tarot card is about to offer or to accept, to give or to receive, a friendly man (usually young or youngish), a man who has no herd bull characteristics, who is mainly human.

Hermit is another who brings help, who offers, who is patient, kind, supportive, loyal, honest. He is out looking in the middle of the night for people who could use his help on the road. As a monk, being of service to others is emphasized. (Once again, we have the Middle Ages influence here.)

Five of Wands is a struggle, conflict or fight. It is trying hard. It is exercising. Anything that makes you sweat, that involves exertion … even your spiritual life. Those five guys whacking each other with boards are exerting themselves.
