Guidance

Strong people had best be friends, because each can thwart the other’s ambition. Got willpower? – you can handle just fine whatever it is you decide to accomplish – you know the way as you go. The way to get there is to get your hands on the steering wheel and keep those eyes on the road, because stuff is going to jump in front of you and get in the way. Forward progress involves the brakes as well as the transmission, you know? And you got headlights, so you can drive all night.

Could This Be You?

WHERE EACH PHRASE COMES FROM At a glance, with a color for each card, your subconscious picks up on how the sentences of GROUP TAROT CARDS READING came to be. You feel how individual card meanings reach out and blend, unite, into a sentence. (You can learn this – yes, you!) Your subconscious awareness sees the image and its feeling and your conscious awareness sees the language meaning, the text… so your two minds focus together to see 3D, three dimensionally, the same way your two eyes see depth that one eye does not.

PHRASES FOR ALL THREE TWO CARD COMBINATIONS Are you ready for the final step of this revolutionary Tarot Verbatim™ technique? Now to make it exceedingly plain and simple, we list the expressions each pair of cards makes. We list them in paragraph form rather than itemized so that they flow, and your subconscious clicks into place and ‘gets it.’ You may even find flashes of dreams or intuitive realities as you read these, at times.

Hermit

Hermit

Hermit is an old man, a monk who is out at night looking for people he can help. He carries a light. He is walking in the snow. Hermit is one of the cards that makes the point of one person taking the initiative – making the first move – going to another person. (Magician and Knight of Cups, too, take the initiative and come to another person.) Hermit is about observation and even surveillance, since he is out looking for people. He is patient. He is all about knowing and being wise, understanding and giving good advice. Hermit is a friend who helps, and is a doctor. (His clothing tells you that.) Each one of these points is a category of meaning for Hermit, including being on foot, a pedestrian, in the mountains, and snowy weather. Put him next to Chariot, and that lamp can be about headlights. It can be a flashlight for the searching, too.

Chariot

Chariot

Chariot is a U. S. Marine: He gets the job (the project – he is a leader) done by any means possible, using even factors that are against his success to accomplish it. Success is one of Chariot’s main words; so is willpower. Chariots are vehicles, so they stand in even for boats and airplanes. That goes a step farther to include ‘drive’ in all its meanings, which include ambition, since Chariot is already about getting the aim accomplished.

Charioteers were the military strategists and heroes of their day, the Special Forces plus some. So Chariot is all about having a strategy and making decisions.

Strength

Strength

Deftly and gracefully shutting the mouth of the roaring predator with her bare hands, whilst dressed in a fancy white long gown with flowers for a belt, Strength finesses a would-be opposition in her illustration here. This visual should stay with you when Strength appears in your spread, because she often means exactly this: overcoming with finesse. Strength is about overcoming internal opposition too – your vices, your own demons.

Tarot Readings for You for July 10-11, 2017 Monday-Tuesday© Celtic Cross

Today we have that famous question people ask psychics: Why isn’t he calling me? And people ask ‘Is he or she cheating on me?’ Well, a client on a telephone reading asked the first question, and the answer, which I diagrammed for its usefulness, is ‘He is cheating, feels bad about it, and is making a resolution not to do it again.

Question: Why isn’t he calling me?

Here is a Celtic Cross Layout, Tarot Verbatim™ style:

Learn Tarot

Here’s what a Celtic Cross Is:

First Sentence(s), the part of the spread called the cross.
Page of Pentacles is the first Self card.
Page of Wands is the Cover/Situation card.
Emperor is the Cross/Problem card.
Two of Swords is the Past or ‘just Behind’ card. It is paired with
Hierophant as the Future/Just Ahead card (F.Y.I., I call the Behind and Ahead cards ‘Expanded Present.’ )
Three of Wands is the Foundation card. It is paired with
Three of Pentacles as the Future card.

Second Sentence, called the tower, and it’s 3 cards straight up.
Two of Cups is the second Self card.
Devil is the Others or Situation card (also called ‘environment.’)
Ten of Swords is the Hopes & Fears or Turning Point card

Third Sentence, called Outcome.
And the rest are Outcome, three cards straight across with the middle one aligned with the tower, and sometimes a ‘crown card’ is part of it, as today, which is Strength.

Learn Tarot

The way you read a Celtic cross spread is:

First Sentence(s)

The first three cards (first Self, Cover and Cross or, as I call it, Situation and Problem.

Then what I call the expanded present is behind and ahead of the cover and cross cards, so they are labeled Behind and Ahead by me, or Past and Future.

These are paired cards – read that way.

The Foundation and Future cards at the bottom and top of the first sentence’s spread are read paired, usually using future tense because of the future position.

The arms of the cross” is the two pairs we just spoke of (Behind-Ahead, plus Foundation-Future. Sometimes there’s a special meaning to the combination of these four

Second Sentence

You start anew now (at least in Tarot Verbatim). There are three cards going up. They are often not read in sequence, but keeping the name of the position in mind – especially the second Self card, because the two Self cards often indicate something meaningful. I find the top, third, card sticks less to the function of its position, in my practice.

Today Ten of Swords fits hopes and fears though. I call this the Turning Point or the Crux card, and that seems to fit a little better. The second card

(Devil, this time) is Others/Environment, and I think of it as a situation card like the second card of the first sentence, usually called Cover.

Third Sentence

All these cards, whether you use 3 or 4, are read in any order with no particular individual position name. (You may find, when you first start using three instead of the traditional one card here, that it’s less accurate until you wear a groove in it. Celtic Cross is entrenched in mass consciousness and this is a modification of that.

Now we look at theme cards in this spread:

What catches your eye immediately as someone who has Tarot experience is the tower part of the spread (the second sentence, the three cards straight up). It has Devil and Ten of Swords, which would suggest some kind of wrongdoing, some moral downfall, some being sorry for a sin.

The other card, Two of Cups, in Tarot Verbatim is the main card for personal betrayal, sexual trespass, and taking advantage secretly of another person. So in Tarot Verbatim, this spread screams ‘He had sex and is so sorry he betrayed you. (Ten of Swords is sorry.) And, by the way: Ten of Swords is also a card of betrayal. Ten of Swords is devastated, laid low.

You also notice that the first two cards of your spread both mean a clean-cut good moral guy,  Page of Pentacles and  Page of Wands. Of course, in the first sentence ‘I did not behave myself’ or ‘I did not act in a decent moral way’ is part of the second sentence’s message about ‘sorry I failed.’

In the third sentence, Five of Pentacles is a miserable failure and Ten of Wands is so sorry. (Ten of Wands is also saying ‘no matter how difficult. Tarot does these double meanings.)

In the first sentence, the “I am going to do my part in this relationship” is restated in Chariot, the responsible disciplined person who gets the job done. Strength too prevents misbehavior: It and Chariot are about discipline. . As I promised, this spread is a fine example of interlocking repetition, and it’s very clear to read.

Of course, in the first sentence ‘ I did not behave myself’ or ‘ I did not act in a decent moral way’ is part of the second sentence’s message about ‘ sorry I failed.’
