Ace of Cups

Ace of Cups illustrates the idea of Holy Spirit flowing into mass consciousness through the senses of humans (or of a human) as the channel. The illustration is from Interior Castles, a mystical book the Catholic church ordered Ste. Teresa d’Avila, a nun, to write during the Inquisition. Her book is considered the premier mystical work of Western culture, by scholars. So Ace of Cups means God, spiritual, good influence, good, flow, love and unconditional love, and good health. It means innocent, and it means harmless or ‘no harm.’ (Think ‘all good and no harm’ as a slogan for this card.)

Ace of Cups also means flow, ease and easy, cooperate or get along. ‘Go with the flow’ belongs to Ace of Cups.

 

 

 

Eight of Pentacles

This is one of the anchor cards – cards that have few and well-defined meanings, so you can spot the theme of your layout more quickly through them. A carpenter is working steadily, making one after the other pentacles at his bench. So Eight of Pentacles’ main focus is work, steady repetitious action, job, workplace, worker – and even the hands-on labor part of an endeavor.
