WHERE EACH PHRASE COMES FROM At a glance, with a color for each card, your subconscious picks up on how the sentences of GROUP TAROT CARDS READING came to be. You feel how individual card meanings reach out and blend, unite, into a sentence. (You can learn this – yes, you!) Your subconscious awareness sees the image and its feeling and your conscious awareness sees the language meaning, the text… so your two minds focus together to see 3D, three dimensionally, the same way your two eyes see depth that one eye does not.

PHRASES FOR ALL THREE TWO CARD COMBINATIONS Are you ready for the final step of this revolutionary Tarot Verbatim™ technique? Now to make it exceedingly plain and simple, we list the expressions each pair of cards makes. We list them in paragraph form rather than itemized so that they flow, and your subconscious clicks into place and ‘gets it.’ You may even find flashes of dreams or intuitive realities as you read these, at times.

The Rider Waite Tarot™ deck is a data bank in mass consciousness that your subconscious can communicate with. Tarot Verbatim™ is the Rosetta Stone that makes that communication easy because it is a bridge between conscious and subconscious thought. When both your levels of awareness focus together, you think intuitively in real time in ‘the real world.’

Synopsis

Some people pay attention to the physical everyday realities more than the rest of us. They count their change, they do their jobs to a ‘T’ and think of what they are doing when they are doing it. They are not curious about the why, and consider a lot of intellectual discussion frivolous. They practice mindfulness and don’t call it that. People who aren’t curious sometimes ask people who are: Why do you ask why?

Eight of Pentacles

Eight of Pentacles

Eight of Pentacles is anything to do with work and workers, mainly; and it’s usually hands-on work unless another card specifies some other activity. (Today Queen of Cups makes Eight of Pentacles say ‘mental work,’ for instance.) Eight of Pentacles can translate forms of ‘doing’ and ‘making’ as Magician can. It can also translate ‘working on’ when employment-type work isn’t what it means – like ‘working on myself.’

Eight of Pentacles expands to mean regular activities, and to mean a steady effort – often, ‘keeps trying to’ or ‘each and every time.’ Anything done over and over may call forth Eight of Pentacles. As a matter of fact, Eight of Pentacles refers to ‘regular’ anything, like, say, cycles or cyclic events like the phases of the moon. A good example here is ‘regular payments’ when Eight of Pentacles is next to Ace of Pentacles, Six of Pentacles, or another card that means payment or giving.

Eight of Pentacles sometimes means ordinary, workaday, mundane, the usual thing. These applications are offshoots from the ‘routine’ category of meanings.

Ace of Pentacles

Ace of Pentacles

The main words and phrases for Ace of Pentacles are right; money; road; success; good, and perfect; and possessive pronouns, especially ‘mine.’ You see the road. ‘Right’ comes from the straight and narrow gold path there, with lilies for purity and roses for success. The hand with the gold in it over the gold road is of course the ‘money’ part. Words that mean possession come from the hand holding the coin. Blending two of these meanings, Ace of Pentacles can say ‘the right way.’ Ace of Pentacles, like Ten of Cups, suggests the good people are prosperous.

Queen of Cups

Queen of Cups

Queen of Cups is most definitely a gal, and she covers two very different types: the naïve woman and the smart woman . First is the woo-woo stereotype gal – because not only is she blond but she is staring at whatever-that-is in her hands as a flood snakes around her seat. This is the naïve believes-in-her-man young woman that Sally Struthers played so well as Gloria on All in the Family. The other type is the woman who knows (similar to High Priestess in that respect), who is figuring something out, or who is knowing and keeping quiet because she is a lady. ‘She understands him and loves him anyway’ type thing. By itself, Queen of Cups means what she knows is her man, but put Queen of Cups with another card, and that tells you what she knows – like today she knows her job next to Eight of Pentacles. Either way, naïve or smart, Queen of Cups is the good woman.

Queen of Cups is such a feminine card that it will translate simply as ‘she’ sometimes. Often, ‘she knows’ or ‘she thinks’ as well, similar to Page of Pentacles.

Now Without The Pictures

Eight of Pentacles is work and Ace of Pentacles is pay. Queen of Cups is ‘on your mind.’ Queen of Cups and Eight of Pentacles is keeping your mind on what you are doing, or keeping your mind on your work. Eight of Pentacles and Ace of Pentacles is working for your pay.

We are in the real workaday world of a good-natured lady who knows the right man for her is a man with a good job. We are in the world of a workingman who values a loyal wife.

LEARN SINGLE TAROT CARDS BY PICTURES

GET A SINGLE CARD’S MEANINGS: TYPE ITS NAME AND ‘TAROT VERBATIM’ INTO GOOGLE

.

Eight of Pentacles – You see a guy working at his workplace, and Eight of Pentacles is all about job and employment, doing and getting done, and keeping at it consistently and persistently, over and over. Phrases like working at it, working for, working to: These belong to Mr. Workingman Eight of Pentacles. It sometimes says ‘profession’ although it mainly refers to hands-on work.

.

When Eight of Pentacles is about people, it’s employee(s), worker(s), people who work here, and so on.

.

Eight of Pentacles means ‘doing’ in much the same way Magician does, except Eight of Pentacles isn’t limited to being male; it’s being the one who does, employee or worker generally.

.

Eight of Pentacles is also sequence: phrases like one after another, phrases like one at a time.

.

Lastly, this Eight of Pentacles card is one of many that translates ‘always,’ and when it does it isn’t so much referring to time as to the ‘constantly, consistently, each and every time’ category of its meanings. Think ‘I always do that.’

Queen of Cups – Okay, here’s the blond. Think Sally Struthers playing Gloria in the old TV show ‘All in the Family,’ which became ‘the Archie Bunker show’ in people’s minds. If you have not experienced that travesty of American social mores, check it out: It’s so true! Think True Believer: Queen of Cups is ‘not political.’ You see her engrossed in a grotesque artifact as a flood snakes around where she is sitting, wetting her dress and her feet so far. We all have Queen of Cups’ moments of believing and not getting it. This Queen of Cups lives there.

.

Double meaning to this card. She is usually naïve, kind of a Southern Belle stereotype who believes in her man, is loyal, sweet-natured, understanding, loyal and loving. She is often the understanding wife and the ‘woman who understands her man and admires him’ the way women say ‘they understand’ the criminal they are with. The nice lady. The sweet girl. Today’s words for this gal are: blond; she has faith in him; woman admires; understand you; the lady who believes in him; his loyal wife; good woman, nice girl.

.

However. However, Queen of Cups is also the smart woman, the woman who has figured it out, and figured him out – or is in the process of figuring whatever-it-is out. Here, she brings words like: she is considering; she knows; someone who knows how; as she figures it out; a thinking woman admires; keep your mind on.

.

When Queen of Cups is a person, it’s a woman. Queen of Cups translates ‘woman’ and even just ‘she’ as well as ‘good woman’ and ‘nice girl.’ Today, with elderly Hermit, Queen of Cups becomes ‘daughter.’

.

And Queen of Cups is mindset and ideas too. Not that often. But it’s there.

Hermit – Hermit could be the Tarot card with the most unrelated meanings, and today is an excellent example of that. We have eleven categories of meaning for Hermit here.

.

Hermit is an elderly monk (service monk) on the road at night searching, with a light, in winter, and he is wearing the robe of a physician in the Middle Ages. He is looking for travelers on the road who could use any sort of help, including a warm bed and a good meal – not to mention his wise counsel. As a religious, he is devoted to God and his fellow man, so Hermit is ‘a good man,’ and all sorts of virtue words like honest, sincere, helpful, monogamous (chaste), etc. He and Queen of Pentacles are caretakers, and when you see the two of them in a spread, you may have a couple who are devoted to and take care of each other.

.

So Hermit means to look for, to look out for, to watch, to ‘be on the lookout for,’ which is police terminology. Sometimes Hermit is an investigator. Hermit is not only an observer (see the search light) but observation. Hermit is even surveillance, or a witness who saw something.

.

A religious on the road: Naturally Hermit is ‘on the path.’

.

And Hermit is the helper, and is the one who comes to whoever the other person is in your story. That includes Boyfriend calling or coming to Girl, and is often advice to let him find his way – don’t be the one to pursue him. And by the way – as the Boyfriend, Hermit is ‘true,’ meaning monogamous with Girlfriend, and is sincere. Could be caring and devoted to.

.

Hermit knows. Hermit is wise. Hermit is educated – a doctor (or other healer). ‘Know’ is a large part of Hermit’s dictionary.

.

Another large part of Hermit’s dictionary is ‘old man,’ ‘old,’ or ‘elderly.’ Also ‘mature,’ of course – because our Hermit is old and wise. The wise old man – an archetype.

.

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

…………..…………. ……………………. ……

.

Queen of Cups and Hermit are a good couple; they have a lot in common. Of course it’s a May-December couple, so it can be father and daughter too. Today with Eight of Pentacles the ‘ work’ card, they could be coworkers. If so, they are both knowledgeable employees because both Queen of Cups and Hermit are knowing. This gives a ‘ he knows and she knows’ theme. Hermit is famous for observing and watching, so we have watching someone work (or do something, because Eight of Pentacles is also the doing of anything). And we have the old man working – or the old man’s wife working, because Queen of Cups is the loyal and devoted wife. We even have a man who is mature enough to work for a woman.

.

Queen of Cups and Hermit are both about ideas, and are both about good people.

.

And speaking of loyal and devoted, Hermit too possesses those traits. So here is a man who is devoted to his wife or woman. And we have the woman who believes in him. We also have a good man and a good woman.

.

Hermit is a monk, and Queen of Cups is ‘ the true believer,’ a woman who absorbs whatever her culture calls for. ( Queen of Cups is ‘not political’ and she believes everyone is a good person.) With Eight of Pentacles being the profession, Queen of Cups has taken up religion as a profession.

.

Eight of Pentacles famously ‘ keeps doing’ or ‘ keeps being,’ and Queen of Cups has something on her mind, so ‘ keeps thinking.’ She keeps thinking about that kind sincere patient older man, when you add Hermit to the spread.

.

Hermit is looking for … and Queen of Cups is the good woman he may be looking for. After all, they are a match made in heaven. Hermit comes to the other person, so he keeps coming to that sweet-natured woman.

.

Queen of Cups is famous for understanding and admiring her man, so the lady admires the honest man ( Hermit) and/or the working man ( Eight of Pentacles).

.

Hermit is a doctor or a counselor, so we can have that as a person’s job, in which case it’s the counselor’s job to understand and think well of me. And the woman’s mindset ( Queen of Cups) is to go to the doctor ( Hermit) over and over ( Eight of Pentacles), or go to one doctor after the other (also Eight of Pentacles).

.

Hermit is on the road at night (or just on the road), and Queen of Cups has something on her mind, so when we add Eight of Pentacles, we have ‘ keep your mind on the road.’ We just as easily have a woman up at night who keeps thinking about (whatever).

.

This is another instance of: When you have two cards with similar meanings, and a third card that is different from them, you have stories.

Tarot Readings for You for January 25, 2013 Friday(c)

Guidance        Our message is summed up in one of the sentences.  It is the one that says ‘Figure out what you really want, and what to do to get it … and just keep doing that.’  Also the sentence that says ‘If you keep your mind on what you are doing, you will be doing it just right.’  We are thinking about what we do in our work life, and what we want to do in our work life, and taking some action toward what we are thinking.

Instructions: Are YOU here for the first time?  Come in!  People love this place!  Our site is divided into four sections: Guidance, Tarot Readings, Learn Tarot by Observation, and Learn Tarot by Pictures.
If you just want your daily look ahead, Guidance and Tarot Readings are all you need.  ‘Guidance’ is a summary of what the cards are generally advising visitors to be aware of that day.  ‘Tarot Readings’ is the actual word for word messages the cards are conveying.  Tarot can come up with a wide variety of sentences (sometimes even completely contradictory sentences!) in a group reading as there is no specific question being asked.  So, go ahead and pick the sentences you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them for yourself.

Want even more insight and information about a specific situation in your life? Call me, Emily, at 1-800-993-6912 and talk to me personally and have yourself a live, in detail, Tarot Reading like no other you may ever have had before. Your call will support 500 acres of wild life in an animal sanctuary where I live and call home.

Also, don’t be shy about talking to the Community of Users in the comment section below. You’ll find this as the very last thing on this site. Trust me when I say we would *love* to hear from you!

Tarot Readings:  Work (Eight of Pentacles)

It’s my idea, and I’m going to do the work my way.

She knows the job she wants to do.

She knows just the job he wants, and he can do it.

She dreams of a man who works for himself.

She has some ideas about what to do to get her dream job.

She is content with the job she is doing right now.

Mental work is satisfying to her, and that is what she does.

She knows she is doing a satisfactory job.

She is happy with the way he does everything.

Tarot Readings:  Romance (Magician + Queen of Cups)

I am doing all these things to please the woman who understands me.

She dreams of things she wants her man to do.

He keeps doing what it takes to get the woman he wants.

He keeps giving her everything she can think of.

Her dream man has a job, and he does it.

She wants to know each and every thing her man is doing.

What he does satisfies her every time.

She knows what she is doing, and he does as he pleases.

He is totally satisfied with this gal, every time.

Miscellaneous Tarot Readings

Figure out what you really want, and what to do to get it … and just keep doing that.

It makes me feel good when I do that, so I think up ways to keep doing it.

She knows what she is doing will make people happy with her.

I keep thinking of doing the things I really want to do.

She thinks up things for him to do, and he does them.

If you keep your mind on what you are doing, you will be doing it just right.

Stories today.  He is doing (Magician); work, or doing something over and over, or keeps doing (Eight of Pentacles); she is thinking about him, or something (Queen of Cups) or she knows; and it’s exactly what is wanted, it’s satisfying, it’s the dream (Nine of Cups).  So many ways these fit together so snugly!

He’s her dream man:  Queen of Cups is thinking about her man, and is dreamy, and Nine of Cups is getting what you want most.  Her dream job:  Nine of Cups is the dream, and Eight of Pentacles is the job.

Self-employed man:  Magician is the male who does – hence, does it himself; Eight of Pentacles is employment.

See how easy this one is?

Magician and Eight of Pentacles are both doing something, and are both fellows.  Eight of Pentacles keeps doing it; Magician is doing something once.

Our message is summed up in one of the sentences.

Magician    There he is, arm with the wand raised to create or prevent something, the tools of his trade on the table represented as the suits of Tarot.  He represents the male, active, principle, so his main meanings are a male who takes action.
Eight of Pentacles   is working at it, he keeps doing one thing over and over.  He represents a worker, workplace, employment, or ‘labor’ in the political sense.  He is working-class, a workingman, a fellow who has the common touch.  Here he is at his bench making one pentacles after another.
Queen of Cups is the nice lady, the believer, the dreamer.  She thinks of her man, she understands her man.  She knows.  She has an idea. As a flood snakes around her seat, she contemplates a funky artifact. She is blond, yes.
Nine of Cups  is what you want most, and is getting it.  Nine of Cups is your dream.  It often supplies the verb ‘want’ or ‘wants.’ Sometimes it represents too much (surfeit).  Pictured here is that ‘I ate the whole thing, and I drank all that’ feeling we get:  The chubby fellow with the silly grin and the empties lined up behind him.

EXPLANATIONS:

Each and every ‘Tarot Reading’ sentence you see is a literal interpretation of the four Rider Waite Tarot cards drawn and pictured for today. (The literal interpretation is from the illustration on each card.) These sentences are put together by only combining the phrases of what each cards says. In other words, there are NO “filler” phrases added just to make full sentences, and no psychic ability or spirit guide is ever involved.

*Without a question* in a group reading to focus the answer, the four Tarot cards can mean quite contradictory things, especially when the Spread has a card that means ‘no,’ ‘never’ or ‘not.’ These negative modifiers can apply to any one of the other cards.
*Without a question* in a group reading, the pronouns (you, him, her, me, us, them, they, etc.) are more flexible. Whenever you see a pronoun in parentheses, please *feel very free* to substitute another pronoun than the one used. I try to drop pronouns when possible, which, if you’ve noticed, can make for awkward phrasing.

Now in an ‘real’ individual reading, the questioner asks a specific question and thereby supplies at least half the information! In an individual situation, the parties are identified and sometimes a time frame is too. Here, in a group reading we cannot do that and so we get a variety of sentences.

Horoscopes are group readings, too. Astrology is based on someone else’s birth data, though, so a ‘solar’ group horoscope never really solidly applies to you! (Astrologers know this!)

Tarot, on the other hand, is perfectly capable of flexibly addressing any group, including all of the visitors that come to this site. It can also address people you might not even know personally, such as all the people at your job who have a say in whether or not you get a raise.

We have been wondering here lately whether the Tarot Verbatim(TM) sentences are more accurate for regular visitors than they are for people who visit this site only once in awhile or for a short time. Would you help us with a comment please, if you have not been a regular visitor? Just let us know if the sentences are relevant to you. So far, people say they do apply.

Return to this site often and you can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim(TM) works. Regular visitors actually learn to read Rider Waite Tarot cards with very little effort.
