……………………… Both Six of Cups and Ten of Wands can be about time, not at all in the same way. Six of Cups is a long time ago; Ten of Wands is taking a long time, dragging something out, or long term. Eight of Pentacles, the other Tarot card, relates to constantly engaging, a consistent effort – which is also somewhat related to time. Both Eight of Pentacles and Eight of Wands can translate ‘always.’ With Eight of Pentacles being the lead card for anything work-related, and also capable of translating ‘steady,’ we have various stories about friends who trust one another to keep doing what they have been doing for a long time. With Six of Cups being love and romance, we have doing everything for love.

………………………….. Eight of Pentacles is a carpenter who is production-minded, hammering away making those pentacles steadily one after the other, at his workbench. He is about work, about keeping at it, about being constant and about repetitive acts.

………………………….. Six of Cups branches out to several applications. Little Boy gives Little Girl flowers: friends, romance, gift (giving, receiving, getting). The pastel artwork with curved lines in Rider Waite Tarot suggests warm-fuzzy topics (See Knight of Cups). The kids are well-dressed. They are in front of an estate or large apartment building. Anytime you see Six of Cups , there’s romance and/or children. Six of Cups + Three of Pentacles = Romantic Relationship. And here’s High Priestess , the Lady as well as the Other Woman, the quiet one who knows all and is unassertive (except Ace of Swords might impinge on that as assertiveness).

Then High Priestess is spiritual or the spiritual plane , Three of Pentacles is dealing with and Ace of Swords is power . You get power when you deal with the spiritual plane.

Ace of Swords Foremost, absolute, total or totally, must, force or make or order, enforce, assert, achieve or win a victory or ‘aced,’ conquer or dominate, discipline or willpower, take matters into your own hands, and a weapon. Ace of Swords owns that groove, and its very fitting illustration in Rider Waite Tarot is a hand grasping a sword which is crowned with a victory wreath. Of course with total victory comes total defeat on the opposite side, and once in a while that is the meaning, but not often unless there is a theme that establishes that meaning. Ace of Swords is black-and-white, no gray zones.

Six of Cups has a few main meanings, more than most. Romance, children, childhood, being good, childlike, innocence, the past, nostalgia, sweetness and the good old days, history and olden times. Gives, a gift, receives, trust and fiduciary, beneficiary, benefit. Then it speaks at times of real estate too – an old house, a quaint house or cottage, an apartment building.

All these meanings arise from the little boy giving the little girl flowers in front of a quaint-looking large building, and the kids are dressed in clothes from the olden times.

Three of Pentacles Very pronounced main meanings for this Rider Waite Tarot citizen. Relationship, meeting, deal, agreement, mutual, contract, negotiate, each party doing his/her/its part, get together. Those are the main ones. Incidental ones include an inspection, (final) payment, real estate closing, get along with.

Pictured is an architect doing an inspection of his work with his clients who have the blueprint in their hands. The final draw, the largest payment which is the profit, is his when this inspection is approved.

High Priestess represents the feminine principle of receptivity and deep knowledge. A woman is seated between the pillars of justice and mercy, key thoughts to the Kabbalah, with the sliver moon beneath her feet. In real life, this Rider Waite Tarot card means lady, ladylike, quiet woman, keeping quiet, she knows, she knows and isn’t acting on it, she knows and isn’t divulging, the other woman, feminine, sedentary, passive, knowing the unknown or the secret, expert, the spiritual plane, spiritual, the mental plane or mental, book, bookkeeper, unassertive or passive, to know about.

The first thing that strikes me here is both cards that feature children are side by side: kid alert! Six of Pentacles is childhood, sweet kids, sweet memories, cozy home and cozy home life, and romance, as well as a cozy or quaint house. Sun is the child (boy, most likely) who ducks out of the house and its rules to have some fun in the sun … never mind the wicked pony is going to toss the tyke.

Then Eight of Pentacles and Wheel of Fortune bespeak a grand opportunity at work. Eight of Pentacles is the worker at his bench, hammering out one gizmo after the other. Wheel of Fortune is the lucky break, the grand opportunity, the windfall.

Wonderful: that is a very common phrase for Wheel of Fortune.

Each Tarot sentence is a literal-interpretation reading of the scenes pictured on the four cards you see. Only what each of the cards says – phrase by phrase – no fillers – no psychic ability used. The readings are about you and the people around you. They are about today and the days around it. Tarot, all by itself, talks to you. This is a demonstration of that .

Tarot will address any group flexibly, as it does here of ‘all the visitors.’ (It can address ‘all the people at work who have a say in my raise,’ for instance, without you knowing who or where those people are.)

Horoscopes are group readings too.

Astrology has to be based on someone else’s birth data, though, so it does not solidly apply to you just because of where the sun was when you were born. (Astrologers know this.)

Emily wants to know whether these sentences are more accurate for regular visitors than for people who have come only a few times. Would you help with a comment, if that is who you are? Please?

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things, especially when the Spread has a card that means ‘no, never or not.’ That negative modifier can apply to any one of the cards.

Without a question also the pronouns (you, him, her, me, us, them, they, etc.) in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. Notice how, as much as possible, we drop pronouns, which makes for some awkward phrasing.

The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information! In a ‘real’ reading, the parties are identified (including the gender of the questioner!), and so is the time frame if there is one. In this group reading, we cannot do that, so we have variety.

Trusted partners keep fighting, trying, or struggling together. Me and my close buddy are against this or are fighting this. Me and my close friend keep fighting. A friend contacts you, and you are back to doing what you did in the past. He makes an effort to give her love gifts often. Couple works hard for children. Romance Perspective: Past lover keeps trying to contact. Romantic time with lover – the usual exercise or activities. Lovebirds have the usual lover’s quarrel. Together with friends/lover for the usual (or traditional) heavy activity. Hard work as a favor to a partner. Working together, giving it your all, with a close friend/lover. Going all out to make the house a sweet place to be in with someone you love. Making an effort to keep this an old-fashioned love affair. Couple tries often and hard to have a child. Lovers try hard to make a baby. Interesting that it’s again the weekend and again the card that means ‘work’ shows up. It must work on weekends! What I came to consider as I was writing these was: Super Bowl Sunday – so I put that sentence first, “Together with friends for the usual or traditional heavy activity.” Since each of Rider Waite Tarot cards are among the ones that have several different meanings, we develop a lot of different messages today in this spread. Two of the cards mean being together with someone you are close to (Six of Cups and Lovers), so we have a lot of that. The other two often mean hard work. So, today’s first spread is about getting together and doing something, including something romantic. With the suggestions of lovers and children (Lovers, Six of Cups), the romance may be productive from Mother Nature’s viewpoint! As I was typing this, I thought of helping someone move to a new house: ‘Hard work as a favor to a partner.’ Is anyone moving a friend, or a friend helping you move, on Super Bowl Sunday?

Loves a bad boy and aims to make him sorry

Practical Perspective: Feeling bad because you let the guy get the best of you. He gets (them/you) to cooperate with him against (their/your) best interest. Feeling bad because he took advantage of your trust. Yeah, this con artist is out to get your last dime, but you are going to make him be good, be harmless. He gets (them) to cooperate, against (their) will or (their) best interest: It’s (THEIR) loss! He is a successful mooch. People who love him are the poorer for it. Times are hard so he ‘makes it’ by taking advantage of the people who love him. He gets ahead by any means possible and justifies it by feeling like a victim. Losing it all to a con artist makes one ambitious to succeed by helping others. Romance Perspective: Being in love with this self-serving fellow who aims to take advantage, you will be sorry. He is in the ghetto, getting ahead any way he can, and he is in love with you. Loves a bad boy and aims to make him sorry. This spread warns you that there’s someone looking to take advantage big time: It contains ‘the mooch,’ the Six of Wands, and ‘poverty,’ the Five of Pentacles. Not good. But the Chariot, handling the situation to your best advantage, is also there. The Ace of Cups‘ several meanings switches the possibilities around, too. So don’t panic about this, if it fits what is happening to you: There’s plenty of room to duck!

If you can’t turn it down, you may as well have sex. Can’t resist the temptation, goes ahead and has sex. No sex! No way! Forget it! If you can’t get it out of your mind, do it. You can’t resist the temptation, so you have to just not be present. You can’t refuse and not be there: You HAVE to! You have to just forget it so you don’t keep turning it down. You must refuse, don’t forget. When you don’t have a question to hang your answer on, sometimes you get so many possible variations of an answer that it is amusing.
