turn things around – Knight of Swords

Five of Wands pictures five fellows furiously engaging in activity that suggests a fight, sport, competition, exercise. Whatever it is, they are trying hard at it, so Five of Wands tries hard to in this spread.

Knight of Swords The picture is one of pursuit at breakneck speed but in actual practice Knight of Swords (for no good reason other than it keeps appearing for that) often appears when you turn things around.

Guidance

If you’re keeping track, you may not be on the right track, our advice is saying today. It’s our unselfconscious values, our subconscious reflexive values, that are rewarded on our path. You get the credit when you are unaware of the credit. The gift of not caring … dare we say ‘not giving a damn’ along with Clark Gable? … is hard-won, for most of us. To unhitch our concerns about our individual welfare … that’s a tall order. This ‘not giving a damn’ is a trait shared by great saints and great psychopaths – another example of how the bell curve of Random Distribution is holding its hands behind its back, where the zeroes or one-percents meet.

Could This Be You?

Here Tarot is talking to you: These sentences express word-for-word, verbatim, the meanings of those three Tarot cards. SYNOPSIS Located right after the Group Tarot Cards Reading sentences, is a deeper expression of today’s Guidance. Read this too for your predictions. Here you complete your predictions experience. The rest of the page is more about learning to love and learn Tarot Verbatim™.

LEARN TAROT CARDS BY PICTURES Are you ready to begin learning Tarot Verbatim™? Here your in-depth meanings come alive for each of the three cards! In Tarot Verbatim™, pictures make the meaning, so each card is like a person you know and remember.

WITHOUT THE PICTURES For the true seeker of Tarot knowledge, here is what you need to know about how the three cards in today’s spread affect one another, and how to apply Tarot Verbatim™. Here too the cards come alive, together.

WHERE EACH PHRASE COMES FROM At a glance, with a color for each card, your subconscious picks up on how the sentences of GROUP TAROT CARDS READING came to be. You feel how individual card meanings reach out and blend, unite, into a sentence. (You can learn this – yes, you!) Your subconscious awareness sees the image and its feeling and your conscious awareness sees the language meaning, the text… so your two minds focus together to see 3D, three dimensionally, the same way your two eyes see depth that one eye does not.

PHRASES FOR ALL THREE TWO CARD COMBINATIONS Are you ready for the final step of this revolutionary Tarot Verbatim™ technique? Now to make it exceedingly plain and simple, we list the expressions each pair of cards makes. We list them in paragraph form rather than itemized so that they flow, and your subconscious clicks into place and ‘gets it.’ You may even find flashes of dreams or intuitive realities as you read these, at times.

The Rider Waite Tarot™ deck is a data bank in mass consciousness that your subconscious can communicate with. Tarot Verbatim™ is the Rosetta Stone that makes that communication easy because it is a bridge between conscious and subconscious thought. When both your levels of awareness focus together, you think intuitively in real time in ‘the real world.’

Bon voyage!

Five of Wands

Five of Wands

Five of Wands’ illustration – five fellows whacking one another with giant boards, which suggests combat, sports, or exercise – brings up meanings of: big effort, fighting, conflict and clashes, sports competition, trying hard, being intensely involved, getting all worked up, exercise, and being combative or even quarrelsome. These meanings don’t just apply to physical activity, though: Conflicts of ideas, opinions, politics, and the internal struggles and conflicts we have within ourselves all belong to Five of Wands too.

Knight of Swords

Knight of Swords

Knight of Swords is a mad dash, and represents ‘speedily’ and speed in anything. Knight of Swords is all motion, and the motion can be in any direction and about anything: Speed, as I said, is key. He is hot pursuit or fleeing, or reversing direction – all with great energy in a rush. He is about switching sides sometimes.

Knight of Swords, too, can apply to other-than-physical movements and changes. Knight of Swords is when you are turning around in a hurry, turning your life around, making a comeback, changing your ways, resisting change, are no longer being or doing some thing, are pursuing a new life purpose or life philosophy, are repulsed by who or what or where you were and head in the opposite direction, or are taking out impulsively after some attraction – including chasing tail if there’s a card around that brings that subject up.

Remember that Knight of Swords has a ‘no longer’ strain to its lexicon (category of meanings). The ‘I’m outta here’ feeling. In that case, escape is the focus, not being headed in any particular other direction.

King of Cups

King of Cups

King of Cups tends to be the invisible man. You could call him ‘a suit’ and embrace most of his few meanings. He is the low key individual, the gentleman, the good guy, the kind man, the calm and quiet fellow. Meek, patient, man of peace – all those sorts of things.

He is also the weak, mealymouthed, wimpy, passive, dull, lackluster ineffectual, even self-effacing man – the Walter Mitty. He can be the passive-aggressive personality if there’s a card for the aggressive part. Knight of Swords is that card today.

King of Cups is government, government agencies or bureaus, the corporate world (‘corporate America,’ people say), a politician, a bureaucrat, a man with a desk job (don’t forget stockbrokers, bankers, clerks, customer service representatives, etc.).

Lastly, King of Cups is the drinking man. Five of Cups (spilled wine) brings this out, and Four of Cups may speak of his effort to give up drinking.

Now Without The Pictures

Five of Wands and Knight of Swords are quite the combination. You look at them, and ask King of Cups ‘What’s a nice guy like you doing here?’

Five of Wands and Knight of Swords involve a lot of energy.

So Five of Wands and Knight of Swords say things like: make a comeback; trying again; turning point in a struggle or battle; avoiding a fight or conflict, or running away from a fight or conflict; fights and leaves; hit and run; no more conflicts with those guys, and pursue with all your energy.

And now for the remaining card. King of Cups’ most frequent appearance is as the affectionate lover, the man who is ‘her honey’ and is kind and supportive.

Tarot Readings for You for December 1, 2013 Sunday©

Guidance      Fighting mode is a motivator. Whether it is a wounded warrior fighting to make a comeback, or a woman whose focused ambition it is to have a home of her own no matter how much effort it will take, the struggle is a precursor to arriving at the chosen success. What gets our blood moving points to where we are going in life. If no blood is moving, there is no life. It could be as simple as: She is trying to get married again, this time to a man with some ambition.

Chariot

Five of Wands – Knight of Swords – Queen of Wands

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Five of Wands and Knight of Swords both involve a lot of energy. Five of Wands is a big effort, usually in fighting, sports competition, trying hard, or being very involved. It can be ‘getting all worked up’ or exercise. It is also being combative. In its ‘conflict,’ category of phrases, it need involve no physical action – say in ‘internal conflict’ or political clashes.

Knight of Swords is about speed (rush, suddenly) with a purpose. He can be getting out of Dodge or he can be in hot pursuit, or he can be turning around in a hurry – for instance, turning (your) life around, making a comeback – but the speed has some dedicated purpose.

Queen of Wands and Chariot are both respectable people who are responsible and who are in charge: managers. They both own their space, run a tight ship. Queen of Wands doubles as the wife and manager of household. She is one of the cards that means owning your own home. As manager, she is lower- or mid- level unless aspected otherwise. She is the sensible practical woman, the kindergarten teacher kids mind or the charge nurse.

Chariot is the project manager, the strategist, the champion and leader. He is the responsible authority, the one who makes the decisions and signs off on the project, the campaign manager. He is respectable and ruthless. Whatever his station in life, he is a success at it: Chariot is one of the cards that means success.

Chariot is also a vehicle – any vehicle, though usually a car or truck. He can be a tractor, easily, but if you need a boat or airplane or, heck, even a ‘flying saucer,’ this is your man … uh, card.

Here are all the combinations and their common translations, because we have a lot of those in this spread:

Five of Wands and Knight of Swords Fighting to make a comeback; turning point in the battle; trying again; run away from a fight; avoiding a fight or conflict with; fights and leaves; pursue with all your might; no more conflicts with the guys.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

.

Five of Wands     shows five fellows either fighting or competing in a game, whacking one another with boards energetically. Its meanings are just that: fight, struggle, energetic effort, competition or compete. Strenuous physical activity such as exercise; intense involvement, being a combative person or animal or entity: These belong to Five of Wands as well.

Knight of Swords     is to pursue full speed ahead, make a U-turn and race back in the other direction, return or come back, a turnaround, speed or rush, and even to flee, which is not consistent with the illustration that shows a knight in full pursuit. It can also represent going back and forth – like, say, between two women.

Queen of Wands     Here is the wife, the respectable woman, the manager, the woman with some common sense and a home of her own to run. She has a flower in one hand and a board in the other, and the eagle-eyed look of a teacher of young children.

Chariot     is the successful person in charge, the manager and strategist, the one who gets ahead by sheer willpower. Adverse factors are natural resources to him – are grist to his mill. He takes them into account to the best advantage of the project at hand. This person (once in a while it appears in a woman’s story) is respectable but ruthless. Think the Marines. Chariot also refers to any vehicle, and to getting ahead.

Page of Pentacles A young person, well dressed, studies what he holds in front of his face. This Rider Waite Tarot card means a person (usually male, not always), thinking or feeling or being some particular type – usually young and respectable. It often refers to looks or identity or image, self-image too.
Nine of Cups A chubby fellow with a big grin, the empties lined up on the table behind him. He ate and drank the whole thing and is totally satisfied. He has everything he wands. In Tarot Verbatim (TM), this cards often calls up the verb ‘want’ and its forms.
Knight of Swords rushes or speeds, usually forward and often in pursuit of something, but he can be leaving and switching direction as well – depending on his modifiers. He is pictured brandishing his sword on a speeding horse.
Five of Wands The guys are whacking one another with tree trunks, so this is about a fight, struggle, sport, exercise or competition. It is being combative, and expending energy.

I N S T R U C T I O N S & Explanations (Comments are below this.)

Did you come here just for your predictions? – If so, you are done when you finish reading the sentences of Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading.

Each Tarot sentence is a literal-interpretation reading of the scenes pictured on the four cards you see. Only what each of the cards says – phrase by phrase – no fillers – no psychic ability used. The readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. Tarot, all by itself, talks to you. This is a demonstration of that .

Tarot will address any group flexibly, as it does here of ‘all the visitors.’ (It can address ‘all the people at work who have a say in my raise,’ for instance, without you knowing who or where those people are.)

Horoscopes are group readings too.

Astrology has to be based on someone else’s birth data, though, so it does not solidly apply to you just because of where the sun was when you were born. (Astrologers know this.)

Emily wants to know whether these sentences are more accurate for regular visitors than for people who have come only a few times. Would you help with a comment, if that is who you are? Please?

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things,  especially when the Spread has a card that means ‘no, never or not.’ That negative modifier can apply to any one of the cards.

Without a question also the pronouns (you, him, her, me, us, them, they, etc.) in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute.  Notice how, as much as possible, we drop pronouns, which makes for some awkward phrasing.

The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information! In a ‘real’ reading, the parties are identified (including the gender of the questioner!), and so is the time frame if there is one. In this group reading, we cannot do that, so we have variety.

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim ™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing. This tells the thinking regarding the combined four pictures in the Daily Spread –  the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the message.

*Go to Learn Tarot by the Pictures.  This is the meaning of each separate card.  This is how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in this Spread.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim ™ works. Regular visitors actually learn to read Tarot without trying. The Tarot Talks tab has some examples for students.

Guidance   Some people have a gift for not being or getting involved. Magnets for attention do not reach them. Joining in the maelstrom is human nature, though. We are drawn into the whirlpool of other people’s doings and before we know it, down the drain at great speed we are headed. Our messages today are angles on this theme.

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in! People love this place! Full instructions are at the bottom.

Guidance and the Tarot Readings are for you if you just want your daily look ahead. “Guidance” is the summary, followed by your word for word Tarot Readings from the four Rider Waite Tarot cards you see pictured here. Pick the sentences that you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them. Sentences contradict one another because negative cards, in this group reading with no question, can attach to any of the other three cards.

Headings [So you can choose what’s yours]

Tarot Readings: Changing Ourselves Around (Knight of Swords)

Tarot Reading: I Sometimes Wonder About Myself (Page of Cups)

Tarot Readings: About a Fight (Five of Wands)

Tarot Readings: Humor (Page of Cups)

Tarot Readings: Just Can’t Get Through to Her (World)

Tarot Readings: Changing Ourselves Around (Knight of Swords)

Somehow I’ve got to fight my way back to being my own person.

Try hard one more time, and maybe you can be free of its influence.

May keep out of trouble if (he) puts all his energy into turning his life around.

Such a struggle to change yourself that fast and shut out all the nonsense.

We fight making changes. Why on earth? – we aren’t about to let any of that get us.

Shut out the craziness. Try to get back the way we were.

If only contact through the barrier were possible, I would put all my effort into getting through it.

Make an effort to turn things around for the Babe.

Tarot Reading: I Sometimes Wonder About Myself (Page of Cups)

I’m trying hard to get out but I seem to be stuck here dancing to a different drummer.

I get a lot of energy in a rush for no particular reason when I’m all by myself in privacy.

Don’t know why I’m in the mood to rush headlong into a fight: Stay your distance.

Did I run from a fight, or was I just not invited?

Why put in all that effort to get back to where you are shut out of anyway?

The tide of battle turns for no reason, but you are not a combatant.

Isn’t shutting yourself out of something the opposite of throwing yourself into it?

Somehow, as a person who has no connection with any of this, I am galvanized into action.

With great effort, I got out of there, and am now holed up wondering what to do next.

Why try so hard to change, when you have no faults anyway?

Tarot Readings: About Not Getting Involved (World = Five of Wands + Knight of Swords)

Ask yourself why you should throw yourself into all these activities – and shut yourself off from them instead.

Does she really have no contact or connection – or is she just trying to get us to go away?

Just don’t get involved another time: Why should you?

He comes and goes. She doesn’t care what that fool is doing.

She does not even notice when he comes and goes so fast: Why make an issue of it?

Get out of these questionable activities, and don’t be involved at all.

How fast can I get out of this? – I have no attachment to it, and am against it.

Why compete for things other people are into? – Go back to where no one can touch you.

I am not into silly activities, I go the other way.

She’s resistant to change, why fight it?

Tarot Readings: About a Fight (Five of Wands)

Get the fight over with quickly, what part do you have in that silliness anyway?

It seems they run from a fight with a dame.

You may keep yourself out of trouble if you run away from those fights.

How can a person who is isolated (cut off from connections like that) send antagonists packing?

Is she over it yet, or will she fight about it again?

How can a person wade into that battle and come out unscathed?

I don’t want to fight but it would be silly to run.

If it’s not your struggle, why run over there?

Leave me out of your campaign this time, willya?

Tarot Readings: Humor (Page of Cups)

Ignore the humor; act combative to get things back the way they used to be.

She is suddenly antagonistic when she doesn’t get a joke.

She ignores all the humor and does her dead level best to turn its meaning around.

No goofballs allowed – am running them outa here – scoot!

Tarot Readings: Just Can’t Get Through to Her (World)

Why does he keep trying to come back to her when she doesn’t want anything to do with (him)?

She is unavailable. Why try again?

Why is (she) resisting you so hard all of a sudden? – you just can’t get through.

She is so superior, and he comes off as a dork …. It’s such a struggle to change.

What does a woman want? – You are trying too hard.

She doesn’t care if he gets violent and makes a fool of himself again.

He runs out of there during a fight before he does something stupid to her.

With great effort, she gets away and excludes herself from the silly goings-on.

How can she shut him out like that, as hard as he tries to get back in?

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

Just looking at the four pictures, you can see World walled off from action around her, with the strange observer in Page of Cups. That is what our sentences are all about, too.

Five of Wands is involvement, intense activity, struggle, fight, competition, exertion or effort. Knight of Swords is being worked up into a lather speeding, rushing, throwing yourself in that activity of Five of Wands.

Page of Cups is the strange fellow, is one of the Tarot cards that in Tarot Verbatim™ can put the sentence into question form. It often brings the word ‘silly’ or a similar adjective into the sentence.

And like I said, there’s World, all by herself not interested, not participating, not connected and not available to any of these other cards’ influences.

Our messages are quixotic – ones like ‘With great effort, she gets away and excludes herself from the silly goings-on.’ They should be fun. I like the ‘Sometimes I wonder about myself’ ones, myself.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

Five of Wands is where the action is: Involvement, intense activity, struggle, fight, competition, exertion or effort. Conflict, battle, sports, combativeness, antagonism, working up a sweat. Five guys are whacking one another with boards.
World isn’t having any part of it, and doesn’t have to. The monsters and muggers don’t see her because she ‘isn’t there’ on the physical plane (like Fool, but he is beginning that journey, and she has completed it). Immune, unavailable, shutting out, has no part, keeping yourself out, isolated, can’t get through, and so on. She doesn’t have a phone.
Page of Cups Page of Cups is the strange fellow, is one of the Tarot cards that in Tarot Verbatim™ can put the sentence into question form. It often brings the word ‘silly’ or a similar adjective into the sentence.
Knight of Swords is a change of direction, often – or ‘change.’ Knight of Swords is being worked up into a lather speeding, rushing, throwing yourself in that activity of Five of Wands. Switching sides, sometimes.

HOW TO USE THE MATERIAL WE HAVE FOR YOU HERE. Read the sentences, and pick out the ones that seem to apply to you, to the people around you. They are a Tarot analysis of your day’s circumstances. As the day (or several days) unfolds, you may find the information is relevant. The question is: “Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.” Often, your adopting the attitude you feel in the blog works for your day!

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean even contradictory things. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are less specific, more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. Especially when a pronoun is in parentheses, feel free to substitute.

The Advice section sums up a general meaning of all the sentences.

Knight of Swords

Five of Wands – Five of Cups – Hanged Man

Five of Wands, which shows fellows whacking each other with boards in some kind of competition (whether sport or combat) refers to intense effort; Hanged Man is an intense idea or inspiration. It shows a fellow with yellow halo emanating from his head while he is upside down: mental energy.

Knight of Swords also involves great energy, the kind it takes to get out of or turn something around. Knight of Swords is in a hurry. His Sword is ready to attack whoever he is after … which reminds us of the fight in the Five of Wands, doesn’t it? … and his horse’s feet are off the ground, his clothing is flying.

And right in the middle of all of this is depression over a regrettable loss in the past, an intense feeling of a different kind from Hanged Man. Guilt, shame, grief, preoccupation with the past in a sad way.

.

.

So the story here, the advice, is to get past a preoccupation with the bad part of the past; to use the bad scene that haunts you to fire yourself up to do something that changes that scene.  Let the torpor inspire you to action.  Get the idea to go back to the fight you lost. We also say failure is a phase: You either get out before you get to that point, or you go on to either do something else or return to battle with new strategies.

.

.

TAROT ANALYSIS

Get out of there fast whenever you see a losing battle.

Try and fail, and onto the next idea.

Should have known he/she would be back after we fought.

Get the inspiration to go back to that fight you lost.

He/She makes an effort and gets out of feeling sad.

Motivated by failure to try, try again.

The idea to go back there and fight against a regrettable thing.

The competition has the idea they are going to lose next time.

Try again even if you think you’ll be sorry.

Take action on your vision that this disgrace is not going to happen again if you can help it.

Intense feeling this is so shameful you are putting everything you’ve got into making it like it was.

Oh, the effort it takes to change the idea of being a loser!

Getting intensely involved because you have the intense feeling to turn this sad situation around.

Engaged in an effort to revive the ideas of the past.

Remembers the past so vividly, struggles to bring it back.

Opposes the idea of this being a losing battle.

Has a different idea he is fighting for about what really happened in the past.

Intense guilt drives him to make the effort to change.

He is sorry about being so combative, is motivated to change.

Grief inspires a return to the fight.

Gets over the grief and has a notion to join in the action again.
