Four of Wands

Advice is simplistic:  You got to stick together and share money and housing as a group or family, to have a future.  Most every sentence states that or boils down to that, including one that reminds us that families have to have females.  Go figure.  There isn't much to this today! Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do: *Go to Advice (above ) which is a summary of the Messages. (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.) *Go to Group Analytical Tarot Reading below.  One or more of t...

Advice When it's the woman who has the money in the family (whether extended family as the matriarch,  or whether it's just between the couple) things take a turn,  often an abrupt turn.  The man whose wife is the breadwinner is often the disgruntled and frustrated man no matter how devoted (and no matter how generous) the woman who supports him is.  Then,  of course,  sometimes the woman comes into money and uses it to buy her freedom from her place in the tribe.   How many men wonder whether t...

Advice takes the tensions between a couple and compares it to the tensions between families.  It's always two sides, you know …  The two sides expand to the neighborhood and then to the general situation.  Tarot presents the idea that the two factions are a repeating pattern greater than the sum of its parts,  that individuals,  couples,  neighbors and states engage one another in conflict because of the taste for the conflict more than for a cause or a reason.

Advice Family strife is our subject,  no way around it.  The divorce or blowup,  the militant woman's demands,  the marriage and  'this is the routine.'  The same situation at work where a walkout or strike -  or at least quitting or getting fired -  is afoot.  Repairing a damaged house is a parallel situation to these -  come to think of it!  -  and Tarot has.  She keeps working in this combative environment.  A whole family whines about one thing after another until you want to explode.  Emplo...

Advice Caring for one another and providing a home that produces a civilized young adult.  Marriage as practiced in various ways and shades.  How marriage and children affect how we all live as a community.  Money spent on a child.  Stories:  'Such a relief to have a woman care for you when you show you care for her:  commit!'  and  'The fun boyfriend marries her and she backs him financially.' (At the time of production,  there's no way to correct the lack of spaces after punctuation.   I am wr...

Advice is about what divides people who are of the same family or community.  Literally the four read:  "Us.  Them.  Connect.  Shun."  Our story is about whether to be a hippie or an Episcopalian;  whether to stay with the characteristics and beliefs you were born into,  or poke your nose out the door and test the strange air.  Attitudes bombard this subject.  Having some friends costs you other friends.  Partners in the firm avoid conflicts of interest. (At the time of production,  there's no w...

Advice We feel a natural sadness and regret when one chapter or phase of our existence ends and another is upon us.  It could be going to college or the 'empty nest'  or divorce or moving to another love relationship or the death of a spouse,  or even moving away from the neighborhood or selling a house.   Any old end of any old phase may evoke a primordial sadness that things do not go on,  they shift and change,  so we cannot stay the same person we are either. (At the time of production,  the...

Advice      Negotiations stall over refusing to do that for that price.  A relationship is at an impasse because one party will not admit he/she knows something that is a deal breaker.  "I won't say anything,  I just won't do it and I'm not meeting to discuss it either."  Best lay low and let it pass,  you feel deep down,  or there just won't be any relationship or any deal at all.  An impasse is when you can't take any action because another party won't even agree to meet.

Advice We drop into the happy marriage,  community of good people,  people who have a comfortable life,  the marrying well and marrying a good man that Mother tells you about,  especially when she has not done so.  A person can get into this and leave the lesser life behind,  or put this behind feeling the loss of it.  You can feel in this spread how some women leave the happy marriage with the good man,  how people leave the well-adjusted community life behind because it is just that. (At the t...

Advice embraces the beneficial changes being part of a loving couple or family bring. The daughter marries and lives in a good home in love. Or she moves back into her loving parents'  home as a single woman again. A return to good health or having desirable credentials brings a better and easier life. Being one of those people everyone likes and approves of is an entree into community life as a successful person.
