Tarot Readings for You for November 24, 2014 Monday©

GUIDANCE “Is it worth the trouble?” and “Is it worth the money” register at the same existential spot in our soul. We measure the return on our investment of time and effort in a friendship in much the same way we measure the return on investment of our money. A social relationship can be rewarding or can be draining, for instance. Another such phrase: extend ourselves. There are fair-weather friends and there are fair-weather purchases. There are people we go to a lot of trouble for, an...

Tarot Readings for You for November 18, 2014 Tuesday©

GUIDANCE We are talking about how sometimes the same thing that gets on your last nerve … that causes headaches, sleepless nights and nasty stress … no longer has that effect on you at some other time. We are looking at the angst separate and apart from what we think caused it. The truth is, oftentimes it's body chemistry *that attaches to whatever is going on for not much reason at all* that causes the symptoms we call worry. In other words, I think I'm worried about the rent, but if the...

Tarot Readings for You for November 15, 2014 Saturday©

GUIDANCE Would vacation be half as much fun if we hadn't been through hell?, we ask. The pain was worth it when we graduate or have the baby. Some people have enjoyed a terrible childhood: Whether it's fun or whether it hurts, it's all perspective; it's all in your head. Some of us can cheer up by wallowing in morbid songs. The difference between adventure and nightmare is perspective too. Things are seldom as bad as we dread they will be. And it feels so good when you quit beating yourself u...

Tarot Readings for You for November 14, 2014 Friday©

GUIDANCE A ghetto experience … and there is such a thing as a spiritual ghetto, and there is such a thing as an emotional ghetto … makes you or breaks you, and there are as many paths regarding staying or leaving as there are people to stay or leave. We delve into this situation as to both the hopeful and the despairing biographies today. Looks like we are trying to recruit, here, I think. . Are YOU here for the first time? Come in! People love this place! Our site is divided into four sect...

Tarot Readings for You for November 13, 2014 Thursday©

GUIDANCE Oh the tyranny of that bell curve that says the middle ground is always heavily populated, and the extremes are banished downhill! It seems we rock back and forth and end up in the normal zone, over and over. We are entitled to take a goofy break when things have been sane too long, and we are entitled to a sane break when things have been goofy too long. C'est la vie, comme ci, comme ca. . Are YOU here for the first time? Come in! People love this place! Our site is divided in...

GUIDANCE So fast it makes your head spin, we say. Just that fast, you are onto different direction, or you relocate to a different place, or you don't spend time with a buddy anymore, or your schedule is upside-down due to a new interest or job offer. Sometimes these disruptions are chosen, and sometimes foisted upon us, but you can be sure coincidence will drop in on you as it has dropped in to the rest of us, and take you for a spin. . Are YOU here for the first time? Come in! People lov...

Tarot Readings for you for November 11, 2014 Tuesday©

GUIDANCE Have you ever walked out of your house a different, changed, person? A culmination of *shifts within* cascades 'overnight' into a new image, a new self, when the shifts finally gel into place like ice cubes *first getting all the way solid* and not being fragile sheets anymore. Even you notice this, and you feel a little unsure in your own skin for a little while. A spiritual growth spurt has erupted like a hibiscus blossoming into the morning. This new person has your name. . Are ...

GUIDANCE Everybody has to do his part if the community life is going to be good. When everybody treats everybody right, everybody is happy. Here's this beautiful picture of home life – realistic, though – in which all concerned are treating one another right, doing their part financially and emotionally and socially. The same picture applies to dealing with family, and even to the public. Then it is applied to getting together to pay the bills, and to other financial exchanges – the sale of...

GUIDANCE Sharing the money … passin' the gravy on down from the winner, a man today, and his backers, who are women today. Camaraderie with authority pays off. A gal will support a man if he is a prize man. Girls who date VIPs have the good life. Your lawyer is a heavy hitter, and you celebrate a win in court. The lawyer is respected because of his legal team. The women's vote made him governor. A manly man gets the attention of the gals … and returns the attention. Cooperation between men an...

GUIDANCE Exchanges between individuals – even intimate exchanges – make community life what it is. So our actions reverberate to the culture we live in. Our actions reflect, for good or ill, on the type of person we are seen as. Think of things that happened decades or centuries ago that got us where we are today: That process is continuing right now, so that we too, like the proverbial pebble in the pond, will have our echo long after we have left the third planet from the sun. . Are YOU her...
