Guidance

We find ways. We find ways when we are broke to get together with our people. We find a house in a neighborhood we can afford, a fixer-upper maybe. We make a good home life on a shoestring. We do without for the sake of family. Everyone’s path includes some Dark Night of the Soul, and I am a friend to people who are in need as much as I am to people who are doing well. You guys feel inferior when the truth is, you are as good as the rest of us.

WHERE EACH PHRASE COMES FROM At a glance, with a color for each card, your subconscious picks up on how the sentences of GROUP TAROT CARDS READING came to be. You feel how individual card meanings reach out and blend, unite, into a sentence. (You can learn this – yes, you!) Your subconscious awareness sees the image and its feeling and your conscious awareness sees the language meaning, the text… so your two minds focus together to see 3D, three dimensionally, the same way your two eyes see depth that one eye does not.

PHRASES FOR ALL THREE TWO CARD COMBINATIONS Are you ready for the final step of this revolutionary Tarot Verbatim™ technique? Now to make it exceedingly plain and simple, we list the expressions each pair of cards makes. We list them in paragraph form rather than itemized so that they flow, and your subconscious clicks into place and ‘gets it.’ You may even find flashes of dreams or intuitive realities as you read these, at times.

The Rider Waite Tarot™ deck is a data bank in mass consciousness that your subconscious can communicate with. Tarot Verbatim™ is the Rosetta Stone that makes that communication easy because it is a bridge between conscious and subconscious thought. When both your levels of awareness focus together, you think intuitively in real time in ‘the real world.’

Bon voyage!

Synopsis

A person who is all about solitude feels as stressed in the company of a bunch of people as a person who is a natural-born joiner feels in solitude. The group leaves you cold when your real life is internal. One man can see how his marriage is draining him of life, and another misses being married and is out looking. But even if you are a hermit, your people comfort you when you are down.

Four of Wands

Four of Wands

A socially prominent respectable family – the foundation and leaders of the town – is hosting the public part of a wedding ceremony: That’s our picture. The ‘family’ theme extends to any group or organization or Company – any kind and any size of group of people, from neighborhood to national or international.

As a wedding, Four of Wands starts with the marriage and the couple, of course. Naturally, Four of Wands means the good sensible solid people of the society (any society, anywhere). But it also (as its twin ‘family’ card does) means ‘everybody.’ Today it is a crowd, and the people who are in good shape, who are doing well, who are ‘as good as anyone else.’ It also represents a good home life.

Four of Wands is a house or building, including a public building. Today, that makes it a treatment center or a religious organization, with Hermit as the religious part.

Hermit

Hermit

This (service order) monk goes out at night with a light as a beacon for travelers on the road, to help them or invite them in for dinner. So Hermit is coming to the aid of, helping out, looking or searching or seeking, a religious person, being decent and wise, and also being a doctor or healer. He is dressed as a doctor of the middle ages’ time. Hermit is a trip on the road, usually pedestrian. Hermit also can refer to winter, snow, cold, mountains, nighttime, and carrying a light (flashlight, headlight, etc.).

Hermit owns the virtues and attributes of a service monk: being devoted, being alone, being humble, being on the Path, being religious, kind, helpful, a friend, loyal.

This Hermit card also translates: understanding, knowing, truth, sincere, seeing or observing, or even witnessing.

Five of Pentacles

Five of Pentacles

Five of Pentacles  is one of the dismal cards. It can be about hitting bottom and being so numb you don’t see the way out. It can be desperation. Being desperate financially, having a hopeless health problem – all of that. The picture shows homeless son and mother, crippled and shoe-less trudging through the snow past a church that, back then offered food and shelter … unless you were a leper, and that is what the bell around the boy’s neck represents. So today Five of Pentacles says these things in our story: disabled, miserable, draining him of life, people who are in need, feeling inferior, sick and crippled people, the ghetto, and desperate people in bad shape.

But that is just where we start … with the illustration. Here are the more common meanings of Five of Pentacles from today’s work: A rundown neighborhood, I’m lonely, a fixer-upper house, leaves you cold, feeling left out, broke, on a shoestring, sacrifices and does without, misses, in the dead of winter, when you are down, my shortcomings, and when you need it.

Five of Pentacles can, and often is, making do with what you have; doing without as a sacrifice. Even a down mood or a ‘day from hell.’

But Five of Pentacles has a very special meaning for your spiritual life: Dark Night of the Soul. That’s when you have had an enlightenment, an epiphany, a peak experience, a eureka revelation or awakening, which is followed by a sort of buyer’s-remorse despair at … now that you see … how benighted, how ignorant, you were. Dark Night of the Soul is a miserable, but normal and natural, experience.

Now Without The Pictures

These three cards have some powerful and curious interplays in common. Hermit is a monk, a service monk, out looking for people in need outdoors on a mountain path, to bring them in for dinner and wise chat. The mother and son in Five of Pentacles are outdoors on the street, in need, passing by a church and not asking help from it. So we have someone bringing help to people who need it but are not seeking it. We have two stories that take place outdoors on the street or trail, and we have two cards that are stories about church.

Four of Wands is home, and is people who have the comforts of a good home. Five of Pentacles is people who have no home and no comfort. Hermit – the helper and the help – is stationed between them. Four of Wands and Five of Pentacles contrasts people who are in good shape with people who are in bad shape, and contrasts the superior ‘leaders of the town’ with the inferior ‘bums on the street.’

Hermit is a solitary individual who is alone, and Five of Pentacles is people who are ‘alone in the world,’ who are lonely outcasts.

Four of Wands is an organization and Hermit can translate ‘religious,’ so: a religious organization – or its building or headquarters, which Four of Wands also means. Hermit is devoted, and Four of Wands is family, so: He is devoted to his family, or devotion to the family. Hermit is coming, and Four of Wands is home, so: coming home.

The theme for the preponderance of the stories these spreads make is: belonging and not belonging – being a member of the group, or being outside membership – whether by choice as Hermit is, or by being shunned and shut out or excluded as Five of Pentacles is.

Tarot Readings for You for September 15, 2014 Monday(c)

Guidance    Offenders have too much of that instinct that I don’t have enough of when I don’t have the guts, the daring, for an adventure. We are staring this truth in the face right now. We go into how friends help me have the nerve I lack, and how missionaries go to prisons to enlighten those too-adventurous and too-gutsy inmates. Looking for ways to limit the risk – and to have the nerve – is a big concern of ours today!

Now, Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined three pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here.  It explains how these three cards get together in your mind to make the messages. HERE ARE PHRASES FOR ALL THREE 2-CARD COMBINATIONSis a stream-of-consciousness bridge to your subconscious if you use it regularly – people report.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the three cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.

.………..………..………..………..

Hermit – Eight of Swords – Seven of Swords

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

……………….…………………...   Today’s spread is yet another example of how the dastardly cards can make friendly meanings. Eight of Swords and Seven of Swords are not to be taken lightly even in a 13-card spread. In a three-card spread … gulp! But not to fear: Hermit is here – he, the friend who helps, the healer, the patient and wise counselor.

……………………….. Then we remember to look for the peripheral, ancillary, minor, meanings for the baddies – like Seven of Swords meaning ‘the nerve to pull it off’ and ‘guts,’ and don’t forget ‘adventure.’ Risk is another of its conservative meanings. Well, there’s also ‘sneaking around’ or ‘breaking a rule’ too, and even ‘gets around.’ Seven of Swords describes a loophole, and a getaway – as in getting away with it. Trespassing and violating a person’s defenses are occasional meanings.

……………………….    Right off the bat, you see Eight of Swords, the lead death card – and it means helpless, no choice, boxed in, can’t, and prevented.

…….…………….…      Eight of Swords and Seven of Swords – with Seven of Swords, the lead criminal activity card, also meaning double-cross, thief, and assassination. Assassination, or mere major treachery linked to death, disability, being unable …. Be still, my heart!

………………………..    But the wise healer, the objective view, the supportive friend, the helper, has come. Welcome, Hermit – we need you right now! Hermit is reminding us that …

…….…………….…     Eight of Swords and Seven of Swords … Eight of Swords and Seven of Swords combined say ‘locked up criminal.’ And he, Hermit, the counselor, the missionary, goes to see those in need. So our friend Hermit, the supportive buddy, is here to take over and calm the situation.

.

.

Caution and daring should counterbalance one another, lest we get stuck. We picture a helpful counselor-type friend encouraging a person to dare, and we see the same type of person as a missionary to prisoners to encourage them not to. Sometimes we need both wisdom and guts, or we are stuck. We talk about the risk, looking for ways to limit risk, finding ways to prevent crime, finding a loophole around an impasse, getting around even though we are disabled. We talk about people who are self-destructive, who seek to die in some adventure, and people who feel death is the adventure. The whole dissertation here suggests finding a happy median.

Hermit ……… Quite a few branches to Hermit’s meaning tree. They grow out of his whole story, which goes as follows: Monks from isolated churches go out at night looking for travelers to bring them to a safe warm place where they can eat and bed down comfortably. ‘Service’ and ‘contemplative’ are the divisions to Roman Catholic clergy, and ‘service’ meant things like Hermit is doing. Pictured is an older man. Hermit is a doctor (healer, medic, physician) by his garb in the illustration. Here are those meanings that arise from this story: old man, friend, celibate or monogamous, comes to help, comes, investigation, discovery, wisdom, knows, counselor, on the road, light/flashlight, night/darkness, journey by foot, search, search at night, quest for truth, missionary, physician/healer/medic/doctor. Hermit represents paramedics since he is a doctor who comes to you. Hermit also translates ‘Be on the lookout.’

.

Eight of Swords………. You see a woman blindfolded, tied up (not too well), surrounded by swords, in a swamp. There’s a home in the distance. This card operates as the actual lead death card in Tarot Verbatim™. Meanings are determined by what cards meant in thousands of questions in which the answer was known, and not all of the meanings are what you would choose – which is the beauty of Tarot Verbatim, and why it works so well. Eight of Swords’ most common translation is ‘can’t.’ It means boxed in, helpless, limited, prevent and prevented, stymied, no way to, ineffective, restrictions and restricts, no choice, no choice but to, handicapped or disabled, trapped, and a suffocating environment. You find it meaning being in a strait jacket or ‘in the box’ or even being dead to something.

.

Seven of Swords………. shows a daring fellow who is disarming the enemy, stealing its weapons in broad daylight. He is hotfooting it out of there, carrying the swords by the blades, which is what makes him mean ‘self-destructive.’ So Seven of Swords means daring, guts and gutsy, adventure, risk, sneaky, stealth, criminal, thief, getaway and getting away with it, pulling it off, a mission (and a dangerous mission), danger. It also means things like loophole, trespassing, violating a person’s defenses.

Tarot Readings for You for January 28, 2014 Tuesday©

Guidance      Precautions:   Our topic.   You know how some people won’t sit with their back to the door in a public place?  Our focus today is on knowing … keeping your eye on … ways out, escape routes, of whatever you are into.  When they say it can’t be done, this knowing ahead of time is what makes *you doing it* – and doing it on the spur of the moment, unexpectedly – an actuality. Tarot makes the point that precaution is patient honest wisdom (as opposed to paranoia).   Knowing the road hazards and escape routes are common sense survival mechanisms.

Tarot Readings: Look at Things (Eight of Wands and Hermit)

My view is of things I can change and things I cannot.

Leave without notice when you determine there’s no other way out.

I see how I can turn some of these impossibilities around.

Calmly change one thing at a time when you feel trapped.

Keep looking for ways around the dead end.

Be patient on your path: Things done in a hurry are dead ends.

Looking at all the places I cannot go back to.

Tarot Readings: Things that Can’t Be Done (Eight of Wands and Eight of Swords)

One sudden forceful action after another where you just cannot be patient about it.

Look at the list of what is impossible to change them one at a time.

Honestly say ‘I can’t do that,’ and get the heck out.

I see how I keep running into dead ends.

When ‘they’ tell you you can’t, the truth is the opposite.

I got myself into this fix so I’m looking for ways to get myself out.

You can do some of those impossible things if you already know how to, and do them quickly.

I observe and conclude some things really cannot be changed.

Tarot Readings: Telling the Truth (Eight of Wands and Hermit)

Telling the truth gets him out of jail.

Find the list of facts they cannot contradict.

They can’t tell the truth, and that turns things around immediately.

Observe people run from you when you keep telling the whole truth!

Tarot Readings: Look at ‘the Box’ (Hermit and Eight of Swords)

Find the boxes in order to see your way out of them.

Now that I am out of there, I can see ways I was limited.

There’s no end of boxes a sincere person has to bypass.

I’m looking at all the ways out of where I’m stuck here.

Being honest limits the number of ways to do things quickly.

The fastest way just cannot be the wisest way.

Just knowing all these things can’t change them.

Now,  Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the messages. HERE ARE PHRASES FOR ALL SIX 2-CARD COMBINATIONS is a stream-of-consciousness bridge to your subconscious if you use it regularly – people report.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the four cards, by itself, has to say.

Eight of Swords

Knight of Swords – Eight of Wands – Hermit

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

Knight of Swords and Eight of Wands Both Knight of Swords and Eight of Wands are fast or quickly. While Knight of Swords is about actions being done fast, such as turning something around in a hurry, speeding past and so on, Eight of Wands translates as words that mean quickly or fast, and apply uniformly to the same thing being done (or contemplated, or whatever) over and over (not a turnaround from one thing to another, in its own meaning).

Eight of Wands often translates as the modifiers of words – modifiers that make the word plural or make it mean ‘more’ or ‘moreso.’ It also alters the meaning of a nearby translation to say ‘repeatedly’ or ‘one after the other.’ It means a list. It means communication, written or verbal: tell, say, testify, keep saying, texting, documents … probably even smoke signals. It is a problem child to the reader, in Tarot Verbatim™. It often means more than one thing in the same sentence, too.

Knight of Swords and Hermit Knight of Swords is fast and Hermit is slow. Knight of Swords is impulsive and immediate; Hermit is deliberate and gradual (usually).

Eight of Wands and Hermit Hermit knows the way, and Eight of Wands is all the ways. Together, these two in Tarot Verbatim™ say: know all, know how to quickly, looking at all the possibilities.

Eight of Swords means limitation, impossibility, being trapped, ‘in the box.’ It often translates ‘can’t’ whether that word is applied literally (You can’t do that!) or actually (a real impossibility).

Eight of Swords and Hermit Eight of Swords means ‘no way’ and Hermit knows the way, and …

Knight of Swords and Eight of Swords … Knight of Swords gets away fast. This is the basis of our message today: Knowing the escape routes when you are boxed in. And of course,

it’s that pesky Eight of Wands that makes the escape routes plural.

Knight of Swords is about haste and speed and emergencies. Getting out, turning around, pursuing are its main actions. Energetically. ‘Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead’ is Knight of Swords’ world view. The illustration shows an armed knight in hot pursuit, weapon raised.

Eight of Wands has a few major trunks to its tree of meanings. Today it is making plurals in the sentences, of the other cards’ words; it is a list; and it means talking, telling and so forth. We also make use of its ‘quickly’ category of meanings. Those are its main categories. Illustration shows sticks flying through the air.

Hermit A monk late at night on the trail in the snow looking for travelers to help. He is sincere, honest, down-to-earth, patient and wise, and he is coming to and looking for. Those are the meanings we use today: He isn’t being the helpful friend or the doctor right now.

Eight of Swords is boxed in, as you can see in her illustration. This is the card for you when you feel helpless about anything … but her ties and her blindfold is loose, like the chains in Devil. It stands for predicaments like that, and often translates ‘can’t.’ Other of its words are blocked, impossible, trapped, dead end, a fix, and limited.

Tarot Readings for You for November 9, 2013 Saturday©

Guidance     We are told some fact, or what someone saw, or maybe some scary news. We get upset. But we calm down … or are calmed down by a caring friend … and we look for ways to change our situation, or to change ourselves.  An older friend tells me something about himself that upsets me.  A handsome young man who is celibate realizes this is getting on his last nerve.  The good-looking fellow comes to you; he is back and you are shaken up.

Nine of Swords

Hermit – Page of Wands – Judgment

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Two of these Rider Waite citizens refer to speaking or an announcement – Page of Wands and Judgment.  And they each also mean a good person. Page of Wands is to speak or tell, simply.  Judgment means a formal announcement, speak loudly, news, to sound an alarm. Judgment is “Now Hear This.”

(Page of Wands also means young, good-looking or handsome, well-dressed, a good-guy or good reputation and to ‘speak up’ or ‘stand up,’ as well as name or identity.)

(Judgment also means change, to return to a former state or condition, new life, realization, wakes up, to appear unexpectedly (pop up), discover, sudden, to go back to, and “re” words: resume, recover, restore.)

100 sentences could be written in a jiffy here. This is a good spread for learners of Tarot.  Here are some examples of common phrases and concepts from two-card combinations contained in this spread (and these are just a few):

Hermit is old and wise, Page of Wands is young and immature:  “his friend who is older and wiser.” Hermit is wise and Page of Wands is words:  words of wisdom. Hermit is a friend who helps and Page of Wands is tells; so this is about a wise friend talks to you, or you tell your wise friend something.  (Since Page of Wands is self and one’s image, the conversation could be personal, could be about one’s appearance.) Combine these two as the same person, and you have a handsome old man!

Page of Wands and Nine of Swords is talk about what troubles you, talk about a bad dream, awaking to talking in your sleep, a scared young man, and scared to talk about it.

Judgment is change and Nine of Swords is something to worry about or that is scary (so ‘afraid of change’ or a scary change).  Judgment is news and Nine of Swords is scary (really bad news announcement). Judgment means recover and Nine of Swords is stress or insomnia (recover from stress or insomnia). Judgment is to wake up, and Nine of Swords is a bad dream. (I could go on!)

Hermit shows the old monk out looking for people to help on the road at night.  The meanings for him include friend, friend who cares, healer or physician or counselor, trip, friendly, search, truth, help, sincere, devoted, celibate or monogamous, to go to (another), honest, elderly or older, devotee, being true.

.

Page of WandsA nice young man, well-dressed and well-spoken – the ‘fair-haired boy,’ if you please – speaks up. The meanings for him include self, speak, good person, name, identity, handsome or good-looking, young, to stand up, to be yourself, optimist, honest.

.

Judgment depicts resurrection day (one of the cards inserted in the Middle Ages to keep the deck from being something evil) with the angel blowing the trumpet to wake the dead.  The meanings for him include to speak, change, announcement or declaration, verdict, return to a former state or condition, new life, realization, sudden, speak to the dead, resume, recover, restore, unexpected appearance, goes back to, alarm, awakes.

Nine of Swords You don’t need to be told; the illustration says it all: A person in a nightgown sits up holding his/her face in the classic ‘What am I going to do?’ stance.  The meanings for him include nightmare, worry, up nights or can’t sleep, crying, fear or afraid, insomnia, anxiety, upset, grief, gets on (his) nerves, wake up in the middle of the night, stays up late, stress, scary.

Seven of Swords

Eight of Wands – Four of Cups – Hermit

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

How I cut the number of Tarot Readings sentences to the bone, here! We are a study in contrasts, and we make many, many phrases.

The first focal point is Hermit and Seven of Swords. Hermit is honest, calm, rational (just the facts) and truthful, careful, monogamous or celibate, is seeking or observing something (he) is interested in, is religious, a devoted and helpful friend. Seven of Swords is a sneak, is abandoning the scene (getaway), is a thief, a double-crosser or traitor, an adventurer or daring, a cheat, even an assassin or spy. (I left out the black ops theme for Seven of Swords.) So Hermit is a man of peace and Seven of Swords may be military. Together, these two Rider Waite Tarot cards say ‘witness a crime,’ ‘assess risks,’ ‘It’s true about the double-cross,’ ‘You know how risky that is.’ They even say ‘an honest crook.’

There’s a contrast in the remaining pair of Rider Waite Tarot cards too, Eight of Wands and Four of Cups. Eight of Wands is more and more (increasingly) or many or a lot of, is talking or telling, is a list of things and means ‘fast’ too; Four of Cups is denying, is ‘none of that,’ not talking, no way, it stops here. Together they are ‘none of the above’; they are taking the Fifth. Some excerpt phrases are: “More and more, he does not.” “A number of them are not.” “I am not having anything to do with any of them.” Do you see how these two could also say ‘Cross it off the list’?

Eight of Wands and Hermit is telling the truth, having all the facts, is a lot of friends, helpers, sensible people or observers. Eight of Wands and Hermit also say ‘more and more devoted.’ These two Rider Waite Tarot cards describe reading a document, the facts in writing or in a document, a sincere letter to a friend – even ‘religious writing,’ which might be scriptures. Eight of Wands and Hermit are about examining or investigating one after another, a lot of witnesses, or a lot of help or helpers – or ‘help is on the way.’ Together, they can simply say ‘facts’ too, because Eight of Wands makes things plural, remember?

Eight of Wands is a pluralizer (makes other Tarot cards’ meanings plural), as well as being a list, talking, documents and indicating ‘quickly’ or ‘fast.’ Here are Seven of Swords’ words for today: get away with it, fools around, sabotage and self-sabotage, bad boys, risks and risky, double-cross, danger and dangerous, hazardous, takes chances, harm and self-harm, ‘making off with,’ meaning stealing, theft, criminal and lowlife, daring, spies and snoops. Together, Eight of Wands and Seven of Swords say ‘says he fools around’ and ‘is a danger to others,’ and ‘takes a lot of chances,’ and ‘putting it is writing is too risky.’ ‘Tell him it’s too risky,’ ‘tell him he is harming himself,’ ‘one of the people making off with,’ ‘all the lowlifes,’ ‘these things are too dangerous,’ ‘a number of them are snoops,’ ‘a list of hazardous materials’ are some of the things these two Tarot cards have said today. Can you see how the two could just say ‘thefts’?

Four of Cups and Hermit is generally about not being honest or not believing the facts or the truth, not looking, refusing to see things as they are, denying the truth – won’t be sensible or sober or monogamous. Refusing to play it safe. These two can also say “That is not the truth, or not true.” Hermit means to look, search, observe, believe and understand, so Four of Cups and Hermit also say ‘know (he) won’t,’ and ‘aware (he) denies.’ Hermit investigates, so Hermit and Four of Cups could also say ‘The investigation finds no’ (whatever). And of course, ‘refuse to look, refuse to investigate’ is also on the table, with Four of Cups meaning ‘refuse.’ Hermit is realistic, so you get ‘not being realistic’ when you put Four of Cups next to it.

Four of Cups often serves as a negative modifier of its associate Tarot cards. One of its meanings is not letting something through, not letting something happen. Seven of Swords is the daring risk-taker, is dangerous, is getting away with some shenanigan or crime. He is a double-crossing lowlife. He is a thief, an assassin. He robs you, his buddy. This card stands for hazards and means ‘hazardous.’ But watch for Seven of Swords to mean ‘have the guts to’ as well, to indicate revenge, or to mean ‘you pull it off.’ Here are some of the things these two cards have said in our Tarot Readings: You can’t get away with it. Nothing to do with the bad boys. Does not take risks, or Don’t take chances. Not a daring person. No more criminal activity. Isn’t cheating. But not if it is dangerous. Isn’t a crook. Isn’t breaking the law. Denies he did the trespassing. Not let hazardous material through. Won’t let them take risks.

Eight of Wands Mainly is adjectives that mean ‘many’ or ‘a lot of.’ Eight of Wands is about messages, talk, a list, one after another, increasingly. It also means ‘fast’ or ‘quickly’ and its synonyms. It serves to make nearby cards plural. For example, if Hermit is meaning ‘friend,’ Eight of Wands makes that: friends, all the friends, many friends, more and more friends, or more and more friendly. The illustration could be better: boards one on top of the other fly through the air.

Four of Cups isn’t accepting, isn’t listening, isn’t about to, won’t have anything to do with, refuses to, is not reachable.  Nothing goes through here.  “No.”  Illustration aptly depicts that:  A disembodied hand holds out yet another cup to a person whose arms and legs are crossed, whose head is averted.

Hermit   Shows a monk out looking for travelers who need help at night in the cold.  Its disparate meanings arise from that illustration:  Comes to help, comes to the other person, sincerely devoted, honest person, monogamous or celibate, truth and true, a night trip or trip or being on the road, look for or investigate, an old or older man, a healer or counselor.

Seven of Swords  That’s the sneaky person.  That’s the cheater or double-crosser.  That’s the criminal or the one who sneaks out and violates the rules.  It’s the illegal act or illegal person.  That’s you getting away with it, or getting even … a little ‘street justice.’  Seven of Swords is a hazard or hazardous material as well.  It is a hazardous mission, a reconnaissance or black ops or illegal caper … which does not have to be an official one; it can be a person on that kind of adventure privately.  It stands for daring, and for self-destructive acts and persons.

Our Daily Spread for October 25, 2011 Tuesday ©

Advice is about destructive criminal types,  cheaters,  traitors and how honest people deal with them –  which is,  of course,  all kinds of ways and all kinds of scenarios.  No one comes to help when it is dangerous.  The old man refuses to listen and harms himself.  Everybody is coming to help stop street crime.  Says he is true,  that he does not fool around.  You know  ‘something’s up’  when he quits talking to you.

(At the time of production, there’s no way to correct the lack of spaces after punctuation.  I am writing around it now!)

=========================================================================

Is this the first time you come here?  Well … what to do:

*Go to Advice above which is a summary of the Messages.  (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.)

*Go to Daily Message Tarot Analysis below.  One or more of those sentences has something to say to you.  Intuitively pick those out.  They are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it.  (It  is a group message like a horoscope, except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data, so it can be specific, accurate, detailed and direct. Our experiment here is “How much more accurate is it?”)

Did you come here for your predictions?  –  You are done now –  See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer,  four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards.  Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads . When a pronoun is in parentheses,  feel very free to substitute.  The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information!

Seven of Swords

Eight of Wands –  Four of Cups –  Hermit

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD

Seven of Swords:  That’s the sneaky person.  That’s the cheater.  That’s the criminal or the one who sneaks out and violates the rules.  It’s the illegal act or person.  That’s you getting away with it,  or getting even … a little  ‘street justice.’  Seven of Swords is a hazard or hazardous material as well.  It is a hazardous mission,  a reconnaissance or black ops or illegal mission … which does not have to be an official one;  it can be a person on that kind of adventure privately.  It stands for daring,  derring-do,  and self-destructive acts and persons.  So there’s the ‘star card’ of our spread.  The other cards will frame what part of Seven of Swords is being brought out.  The other cards are benign,  so we are not into horrors or disasters here.

The next Rider Waite Tarot Citizen to shape our stories is Hermit.  Hermit has several applications:  Investigation,  truth or fact,  observation or demonstration,  sincerity,  coming to help,  coming,  help,  counseling or wising up or straightening up,  a friend or a friend who helps,  sane and sober.  Now you should begin to see why we have so many sentences up there!

Remaining citizens are the constants.  Constants as Tarot reading goes.  Eight of Wands is messages, talk,  a list,  increasing (as in ‘more and more’ or ‘-er’).  Four of Cups is refusing,  not listening or not engaging,  kind of  ‘not doing’  and ignoring.  It means ‘no way!’  sometimes.

As many sentences as we have,  many more variations are out there.  I quit because these are  ‘too many’  for a lot of our visitors and readers.

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS

Eight of Wands mainly is messages,  talk,  a list,  increasing (as in ‘more and more’ or ‘-er’) including more speedily.  It makes nearby cards plural.  For example,  if you are using  ‘friend’  as what Hermit means,  and you add Eight of Wands,  that makes it  ‘friends’  or  ‘all the friends’  or  ‘many friends,’  or even  ‘more and more friends’ or  ‘more and more friendly.’   Some of its meanings are not used today,  and I am leaving those out for now.

The illustration of Eight of Wands is limbs flying in the air one on top of the other,  as in a barrage of boards flying through the air.

Its disparate meanings arise from that illustration:  Comes to help,  comes to the other person,  honest person,  monogamous or celibate,  truth,  a night trip or trip,  look for or investigate,  an old or older man, a healer or counselor.   Some other meanings are left out here,  not used.
