Synopsis

Anyone else’s Mr. Right or Mrs. Right isn’t necessarily the Mr. or Mrs. Right for you. Finding a life partner is kind of like buying the right clothes or the right car or truck: trying them on, test-driving them, is called for, for the right fit. It’s all about fit. Today we are looking at quiet, shy, passive, polite men and women … who find their quiet, shy, passive counterpart. We are drinking to that!

King of Cups

King of Cups

Tarot Verbatim™ assigns personality types, not hair colors (for God’s sake!) to ‘people cards,’ a/k/a ‘court cards.’ King of Cups’ personality types range from the unassertive or passive gentlemanly diplomatic fellows to the passive-aggressive guys who are drinkers or have other addictions.

So you find these types of men as King of Cups: a passive man, quiet man, calm emotional man, warmhearted guy, affectionate man, fellow who feels everything, her honey or sweetheart or romantic partner, a guy who loves (or loves her). You find a gentleman – that is Mr. King of Cups signature, the gentleman, the good man. Today, King of Cups’ gentlemanly side is brought out by High Priestess, the lady, his gentlemanly counterpart.

You also find the drinking man or addicted man, the weak man, the fellow who whines or is passive-aggressive.

Like many of the court cards, in a given sentence which has already expressed the type of person the card represents, the actual interpretation of the card boils down to a simple pronoun. So today Mr. King of Cups brings us: he, for him, his.

High Priestess

High Priestess

As one of the esoteric (occult) cards, High Priestess straddles categories in her definitions. This card represents the spiritual plane and spiritual knowledge or expertise, and therefore also means knowledge in general and also a woman who knows whatever. This is the card for the expert.

Due to its being Number Two in Major Arcanae, High Priestess also represents (esoterically speaking) the feminine principle of receptivity: knowing and not acting. (Long story.) So that makes High Priestess translate ‘lady’ and ‘woman’ and related terms like ‘ladylike’ and ‘his woman.’ She also is the passive woman because of the ‘not acting.’

High Priestess also represents staying, staying home, staying in one place, and being unavailable (like World, another highly spiritual and esoteric card).

It doesn’t make sense at first that High Priestess is ‘the other woman.’ I think this meaning occurs as a blend of its other characteristics: the passive stance, the staying at home.

Ace of Pentacles

Ace of Pentacles

Let me interpret this curious drawing for you. See the gold on the straight path, with the gold in the hand in the sky above it? – it equates being on the straight and narrow with having money and success. It equates being right with being rich. Think ‘prosperity Christianity’ which does exactly that. So keep in mind that, most of the time, Ace of Pentacles will be about having money and/or being right.

Since Ace of Pentacles depicts God Consciousness flowing from a person to other people, Ace of Pentacles is the card for God – and Emperor, as the highest authority card, also represents God the Father.

So Ace of Pentacles means unconditional love too. All good things: healing, health, safety, benefit. The flow brings these words: cooperation, easy, smoothly.

Besides being ‘right’ or ‘on the right path,’ one of Ace of Pentacles’ favorite words is ‘perfect.’ It also means ‘best’ and even ‘better,’ depending upon context.

Ace of Pentacles is one of the money cards too. So it translates ‘financial’ and ‘pay’ (and even ‘paycheck’ once in a while), and it also translates ‘give’ along with ‘pay.’

Watch for this Ace of Pentacles card to also be about a ring, since it looks kind of like one.

Learn Tarot

Now Without The Pictures

Here we have King of Cups as the gentleman and High Priestess as the lady, with Ace of Pentacles saying ‘right for’ and ‘perfect.’ This suggests two people who, as the passive, quiet, diplomatic, polite, and maybe even shy persons are right or perfect – are on the right path. So I (Emily) am limiting today’s sentences to personal, mostly romantic, pairing between two such people. Why? – because it’s so right.

All the sentences are variations on the theme of two quiet people being right for each other, with a little seasoning about the money situation between them.

Synopsis

Today we are looking at those well-behaved introverted people who make money in information industries, who are paid for what they know. What they know is boring to other people, which is partly why they are often well-paid. They are also paid to know secrets and keep them, especially by governments. We salute them here.

King of Cups

King of Cups

A narrower focus on King of Cups here. We did his personal profile, his romantic profile too, yesterday. His other meanings were reserved for today. King of Cups is one of those hard-to-place cards: I almost hate to see him coming in my spreads.

First, King of Cups is government and agencies of government – good bad or indifferent ones, little local agencies to international ones..

Then, King of Cups is the man who is soft, is emotional, quiet, polite, passive, kind – a gentleman, a good man, maybe your fellow being mellow.

King of Cups is associated with unassertive men too (even weak men, at the end of its spectrum). So today we have: the soft sell, a computer nerd, a guy with a desk job, and a guy who’s bored.

High Priestess

High Priestess

You see the crown of combined Upper and Lower Egypt, the pillars of mercy and severity from the inner sanctum of the Jewish temple, which also permeates the Kabbalah. You see the Tora in her lap, and the moon at her feet. The pomegranate tree behind her also has some symbolic meaning.

She is Woman – the Feminine Principle from esoteric perspectives. Strongly connected to activity on the plane above, and passive on the plane below, which makes her a strongly spiritual card, and one that means to not act, to be unresponsive, (the lady), to be receptive. She knows all (from the mental plane) and does not tell (not active in ‘the real world). The ‘knowing all’ maker her the expert, the advise, and even data (the data bank) itself. To know all and not tell is to keep secrets, of course.

‘Occult’ means hidden, giving High Priestess these words and phrases: secret, hidden, classified, psychic, under the table.

The book in her lap brings her bookkeeping meanings, including ‘auditor.’

High Priestess is also strongly associated with being alone, private, and staying put. ‘Stay’ belongs to High Priestess.

Ace of Pentacles

Ace of Pentacles

A hand holds the gold over the golden straight and narrow path that begins with white lilies and ends with the rose trellis associated with victory. Ace of Pentacles stands for the proposition that good things happen to the right people, the good people on the path. Good things like money, income, success.

We use Ace of Pentacles basic meanings today, the common ones. Half of our sentences or more are about finances, with words like these: fund, financial life, makes good money, about his income, is good money, part with cash, sells, budget, pays, paid, pays off, makes a lot of money, spending good money, the financial industry, money in bonds, accepting money.

Other words we use today that commonly belong to Ace of Pentacles are: the path, success, best, right.

We also translate this Tarot card as ‘to handle’ because the hand has the coin in it.

Learn Tarot

Now Without The Pictures

King of Cups and High Priestess are introverts. He is about being emotional and she is about being spiritual. They are the lady and the gentleman – two well-behaved people. And Ace of Pentacles is being on the straight-and-narrow.

Ace of Pentacles has to give us most of the story, and it is about money, success, what’s right and best, a road and being ‘on the Path. And it is about possessing too: got it in your hand, got your hands on it.

High Priestess also means the woman alone – all by herself, so she has the money, then. She is the wise woman who knows, so she knows all about money (bookkeeper), and is an expert for government or about government. You could say ‘she knows men and money’ or ‘The girl has a way with money and men’ with these three cards (but I didn’t think of it when I was forming those sentences.) It’s also best (Ace of Pentacles) that she live alone (High Priestess).

High Priestess is about secrets and things hidden, which we can hook up to government (King of Cups) money (Ace of Pentacles) that’s classified or secret. And she is an adviser who is paid by an agency.

Ace of Pentacles means ‘right’ in all the word’s senses, so we can’t leave out that the psychic, High Priestess, (She Who Knoweth All), was right about your boyfriend (King of Cups).

Tarot Readings for You for July 4, 2018 Wednesday© Email

Here’s a special Wednesday treat for all of you who do your own Tarot using this site as a library of combined meanings of Tarot cards. The treat is a peek into why your question should include pertinent factors that the cards are not precise about. The big factors are dates, person(s), and time.

Ask ‘who did it’ and you get a description you may not recognize. Ask the motive of who did it, and you will get a description of the scene that usually tells you whodunit. Don’t ask ‘when’ about anything because Tarot is mass-consciousness based ‘out there’ or ‘in there’ somewhere, and isn’t earthbound with clocks and calendars. Instead, you ask ‘Will X happen in Y time?’ as I call it. Not ‘When will he call?’ but ‘Will he call this week?’ That converts the question into a yes-or-no one which Tarot will answer well (or pretty well) giving details that are applicable (cogent).

First thing here is the question I did answer for our client ‘as modified.’ She wants to know ‘what a relationship is going to become,’ not specifying the relationship. Tarot Verbatim is fine (is excellent, really) with that. With no background, however, once the cards talk about marriage and leaving or switching, you as the reader don’t know who’s who. The answer is to be from Client’s perspective, but you don’t know which position Client occupies unless that is in the ‘history.’ And there’s no history required in these cold Email readings. This is why the instructions on the Email Reading tab suggest saying whether love interest is married

I wrote Client, and when she did not respond right away, simply modified the question to include just Dude and her. That is the first set of spreads you see.

Then Client answers with history and perspectives. Tarot did rise to the occasion in its answer.

THEN I include the original set of cards which are confusing to apply if you don’t know the history. Now, you can put these together and see how to handle this – how to phrase a general relationship question which gives no identity of parties or background.

If you subscribe to Tarot Email Training, you know things like this about doing readings and forming questions. Click Here to try that out.

You can also get email readings just like these for a mere $18.75. (Sometimes you wait. These are underpriced because I love doing them, so other parts of the work come first, AND the email readings require peace-and-quiet which isn’t scheduled on my calendar (or yours?).

And by the way, you can also call for a telephone reading and ask that the pertinent cards be identified and explained for you. I do a lot of that.

Question: What will I see this relationship situation actually become in the real world in the next, say, three months?

Judgment – Eight of Pentacles – Six of Swords

He’s back working on the relationship after being distant..

Note the last cards of the last three spreads are about marriage: King of Wands is the husband card in Tarot Verbatim™; Queen of Wands, the wife card; Ten of Cups, one of two good marriage cards.

Emily writes to Client, re the first set of spreads:

This looks like a married man who has ‘the other woman.’  And it looks like that stressed guy you can’t make up his mind but is being affectionate.

If I type up what I have, it may not make sense without me knowing who’s who.

I will wait a while for you to respond, and write these spreads down, and ask the question again limiting the answer to just him and you.

Client writes to Emily re the above Note:

Hi Emily,

Thank you for this.

He is not married, but recently divorced with all sorts of drama with manipulative ex and 2 very manipulative/manipulated kids.

In this sense, even though we are very much in a committed relationship (it’s been almost 2 years, and we met well after his separation but during the final months of divorce litigation), I guess I am the other woman because of all the claws and fangs still gripping him and pulling him in directions his heart does not agree with?

I should add that he has said many time that he will “never get married again”… perhaps he is conflicted about that belief and the prospect of me walking away from him and the drama that he may have to continue to deal with for the next several years…

Emily writes to Client,

This thread of conversation here is a perfect example of the limitations of verbatim Tarot – a perfect example of what should be put in a question to get a focused answer (because the question best contains what the cards are likely to be imprecise about).

I am thinking of publishing it along with the original spread that I replaced when I asked another question limiting the answer to ‘just you and he.’

How do you feel about that?  Your name isn’t mentioned, of course.

Client writes to Emily

Sure, go for it.  Thanks!

Our Daily Spread November 6, 2012 Tuesday©

Guidance Today we look at how the people who ‘make the world a better place’ are unsung, and the forceful action that creates optimum benefit is done quietly – no fanfare, no drama. We note that the people who make the difference have their weaknesses as they simply do the right actions that produce ‘what should be.’

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in! People love this place! Full instructions are at the bottom.

Guidance and the Tarot Readings are for you if you just want your daily look ahead. “Guidance” is the summary, followed by your word for word Tarot Readings from the four Rider Waite Tarot cards you see pictured here. Pick the sentences that you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them. Sentences contradict one another because negative cards, in this group reading with no question, can attach to any of the other three cards.

GROUP ANALYTICAL TAROT CARDS READING

Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.

Headings: [So you can pick what’s yours]

Tarot Readings: Love, Good Man, ‘My Honey,’ (King of Cups)

Tarot Readings: Done Right, Perfection (Ace of Pentacles)

Tarot Readings: Money (Ace of Pentacles)

Tarot Readings: Calm and Quiet (King of Cups)

Tarot Readings: Gentleman, Good Man, Nice Guy (King of Cups)

Tarot Readings: The Weak or Indecisive or Drinking Man (King of Cups)

Tarot Readings: Bureaucracy, Government (King of Cups)

Tarot Readings: Love, Good Man, ‘My Honey,’ (King of Cups)

My honey does everything right, what a Prince!

The path that he is on is right for him to be doing, because he is absolutely the most affectionate man.

He is the very best at acting in an emotional way.

I have to do Mr. Right.

He loves you, you win, he gives you a ring.

My best, warm, friend will do this one most important thing.

A sweetheart who has money makes things happen for you.

Tarot Readings: Done Right, Perfection (Ace of Pentacles)

It’s done to absolute perfection when this patient man does it.

He is the adviser who puts us on the right track to getting this vital thing done.

The underdog makes an absolutely perfect win.

I do what’s right for myself in my quietly defiant way.

He feels it’s right for him to take forceful action about this one thing.

Tarot Readings: Money (Ace of Pentacles)

A diplomatic guy makes the most money.

He’s a drunk but you have to pay him for what he does.

Government rules through what it does with our money.

The arbiters rulings are: to give you ‘high dollar.’

I come up with money for the weapon for my own emotional sake.

Money controls what the agency can do.

A gentleman with money gets things done.

Yes, he pulls this off all by himself with his own money.

Tarot Readings: Calm and Quiet (King of Cups)

You have to calm yourself down; it’s the right thing for you to do.

I succeed in whatever I make first priority, and I am quiet about it.

Tarot Readings: Gentleman, Good Man, Nice Guy (King of Cups)

He’s an absolute gentleman; he does the right thing.

He forces himself to be mellow; that’s what you have to do to succeed.

Yeah, the nice guy does finish first, for once.

Some things, only a passive-aggressive man can pull off.

He is a good man, he does what he is ordered and paid to do.

Tarot Readings: The Weak or Indecisive or Drinking Man (King of Cups)

He acts out his emotions like a weakling when given the ultimatum to do the right thing.

A weak man succeeds in acting as the dictator.

Reward the indecisive man for acting decisively.

Tarot Readings: Bureaucracy, Government (King of Cups)

He is a good man, he does what he is ordered and paid to do.

Absolutely yes, the bureaucracy does it.

Corporate money in hand, to do with as you please.

King of Cups

Magician, Ace of Swords, Ace of Pentacles

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

King of Cups is odd man out. He stops a lot of potential sentences in our spread today.

The two aces both mean success. Ace of Swords is victory, winning, a weapon, imperative (‘have to’), by force, primacy (the most, or most important), absolute and absolutely, mandate or orders, and so on. Ace of Pentacles is money in hand, success, the right, the road (so the right road or path or way), perfection, possession of, best and price.

Magician is ‘male who does’ for short. He takes initiative or starts (whatever), male, active, activity (as in an active verb) – and any form of the verbs ‘do’ and ‘make.’ He also refers to bring about, bring down, cause to happen, etc.

King of Cups is a quiet man. Sometimes he is the gentleman, your honey or ‘my guy,’ the good man, the patient and calm man and so on; and sometimes he is the weak man, the drinking man, the passive or passive-aggressive fellow. He also refers to bureaucracy or a bureaucratic lackluster personality (the paper pusher fellow), the drinking man. He even refers to a government or an agency itself.

This spread comes close to saying ‘All good boys do fine,’ which I learned something about in a music class.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

Magician The male principle, to occultists. Emphasis on physical and not mental activity. Doing, making, the active role or part, the one who does, doing it himself. Often Magician is any form of the verbs ‘do’ or ‘make.’ His picture shows him in the act of making something happen or not happen according to his will. Yes, ‘will’ as in willpower is one of his words.
Ace of Swords makes you do (whatever). A hand grasps and brandishes a sword which is crowned, and the crown has a victory garland on it. Winning, winning by force, a mandate or order. Absolute, primacy, the most important. Weapon.
Ace of Pentacles The elements of its meaning are in the illustration which claims being good makes you successful or is rewarded. There’s the ‘straight and narrow path’ with lilies in front and a victory arbor of roses in the end of it, and a handful of gold held aloft over it. It means right, money, success, perfect, best, to pay or receive money, to possess.

King of Cups a bored looking fellow stares drearily forward, water flooding his throne. This cards meanings are split between ‘the gentleman’ and ‘the lackluster weak fellow.’ He can be a bureaucrat or corporate man. He can be your honey, the calm and patient gentleman. He can be the passive bleary-eyed drunk or passive-aggressive whiner.

I N S T R U C T I O N S & Explanations (Comments are below this.)

Did you come here just for your predictions? – If so, you are done when you finish reading the sentences of Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading.

Each Tarot sentence is a literal-interpretation reading of the scenes pictured on the four cards you see. Only what each of the cards says – phrase by phrase – no fillers – no psychic ability used. The readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. Tarot, all by itself, talks to you. This is a demonstration of that .

Tarot will address any group flexibly, as it does here of ‘all the visitors.’ (It can address ‘all the people at work who have a say in my raise,’ for instance, without you knowing who or where those people are.)

Horoscopes are group readings too.

Astrology has to be based on someone else’s birth data, though, so it does not solidly apply to you just because of where the sun was when you were born. (Astrologers know this.)

Emily wants to know whether these sentences are more accurate for regular visitors than for people who have come only a few times. Would you help with a comment, if that is who you are? Please?

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things,  especially when the Spread has a card that means ‘no, never or not.’ That negative modifier can apply to any one of the cards.

Without a question also the pronouns (you, him, her, me, us, them, they, etc.) in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute.  Notice how, as much as possible, we drop pronouns, which makes for some awkward phrasing.

The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information! In a ‘real’ reading, the parties are identified (including the gender of the questioner!), and so is the time frame if there is one. In this group reading, we cannot do that, so we have variety.

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim ™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing. This tells the thinking regarding the combined four pictures in the Daily Spread –  the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the message.

*Go to Learn Tarot by the Pictures.  This is the meaning of each separate card.  This is how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in this Spread.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim ™ works. Regular visitors actually learn to read Tarot without trying. The Tarot Talks tab has some examples for students.
