King of Swords Five of Wands

Tarot Readings for You for August 26, 2015 Wednesday©

GUIDANCE     Here we are in the human herd, and the bulls are sparring to see who is going to be the leader. The cows are making an effort to please the militant herd-bull, The Man, The Leader. It’s a friendly fight in spite of the drama, an agreement built into our very instincts, because humans are … mammals, yeah. And competition is our way of life. (Elk taught me this.)

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING and

                LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

.. …….…… …...……..…….. Center is the military man, the leader, the manly John Wayne type dude. To his right is war or a fight. (Or trying hard.) To his left is peace, cooperation, love, and getting along. Well, if those are not elements of a saga, I don’t know what would be.

Ace of Cups and King of Swords here is about cooperating with authority, loving a fighting man (of whatever stripe), and a leader who bends over backward to get along.

Ace of Cups and Five of Wands Ace of Cups and Five of Wands contrasts the easy way versus the hard way; war versus peace; effortless versus making an effort. Ace of Cups is all the ease and Five of Wands is all the effort. These two cards also are loving a military man, a militant man, a manly man … or that kind of man loving. ‘Tries hard to be loving’ too.

King of Swords and Five of Wands describe the strong leader or strong fighting man, being against authority, the competition among males for dominance, a strong contender, and exercising (or making an effort) for good health.

.

.

.

.

GET A SINGLE CARD’S MEANINGS: TYPE ITS NAME AND ‘TAROT VERBATIM’ INTO GOOGLE.

Ace of Cups………. Ace of Cups, in its present Tarot company today, is running on one mellow cylinder. It is all about peaceful friendly cooperation, being in favor, being in love, being quiet, being in good health. None of its spiritual aspects. Mentioned once each are: holy (holy war), clean, getting rest, shoo-in, comfortable.

The illustration shows water flowing from a endless fountain into a large body of water. That represents a human consciousness flowing into mass consciousness, and a number of symbols of God turns that into a human’s consciousness affecting mass consciousness – but none of that is of concern today. We just use the flow, the ease, the cooperation – and good health.

King of Swords……….. King of Swords is a card of few words, and represents the ultra-manly man of few words – the strong silent type. See him sitting very straight, and holding his heavy sword at an angle that requires a lot of wrist strength? He belongs to words like leader, authority, powerful man, military, militant, a grownup, having guts …. He is the John Wayne every red-blooded man wants to be (the herd bull). It’s a powerful stereotype many women dream of.

.

Five of Wands………Well, going right along with the herd bull and competing for dominance, here we have five fellow sparring with logs. Could be sport, exercise, or a fight – all any combination thereof. Five of Wands is putting energy and effort into an activity, trying hard. This brings up the fight, the struggle, the battle, competing and competition. Five of Cups goes along with something being hard to do, but does not specifically, all by itself, mean that.

Then, since we have the fighting mode, we get into being against, opposing, and fighting for a cause.

.

.

We try so hard to relax, and we fight for peace. We call our wars holy sometimes. We resist love, but we go overboard to please a domineering dude. This is the herd-bull instincts that underlie more human behavior than we would like to acknowledge.

Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do:

*Go to Daily Message Tarot Analysis below. At least one of those sentences has something to say to you. Pick those out. They are about you and the people around you. They are about today and the days around it. (It is a group message like a horoscope, except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data, so it can be specific, accurate, detailed and direct. Our experiment here is “How much more accurate is it?”)

*Go to Advice to apply what those sentences say (in the best way) for you. (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.) Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow.

The Question for weekdays is: “Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them. The Question for weekends is stated right on top on those days. (Some days are ‘keep an eye open for’ and some days are ‘green light, go fast.’)

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information!

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD

This spread has two cards in common with another, Five of Cups and Hanged Man; and it has Seven of Wands where we have Five of Wands. Those are similar cards, about a struggle. Interesting.

We have a battle, Five of Wands; a leader, King of Swords, a loss, Five of Cups and then the Hanged Man who means intense realization, eureka experience, knowing, being aware. So we are in that narrow groove of a subject: No hearts and flowers here!

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS

Five of Cups has experience a sad, regrettable, past and is haunted by it. A sense of loss pervades. All is bleak and gray as the black robed figure contemplates the spilled wine and does not imbibe what is left.

Hanged Man has just been hit with a whole new perspective on things, and his head is afire with the realization, he is feeling upside down. Good illustration of the feeling.

Five of Wands is struggling and fighting and trying hard, putting a lot of energy into a competition. In Rider Waite, the illustration is five fellows belting one another with boards. Is is a fight or a competition?

King of Swords is the stereotype of the head-of-the-pack alpha male leader. The one the other fellas feel is the leader, not to one who feels he is. He is the tall palefaced blueeyed erectpostured dude with that militant commander’s look on his face. Ach-tung.
