Nine of Wands

Tarot Readings for You for November 2-3, 2017 Thursday-Friday©

Tarot rises to the occasion as a lass who confesses she has done a lot of work on herself for sometime asks what her purpose in life is.

.

You too can ask Tarot whatever it is you wonder about, right here, and have an illustrated answer like this one. (Am doing a lot of these right now, so there will be a little longer wait … but I’m worth it.)

.

Google any one or any two of the cards in her spreads here, and get some more details on how they relate to one another or on what they mean by themselves.

.

And if perchance you would like to try talking with your subconscious through Tarot Verbatim™, there’s that ‘Get Them Now’ for you to click on, to see what it’s all about.

Thank you Emily!

This is such an important one for me. I love Teflon lady!!

Thanks again and yes, please feel free to share.

Best,

Emily Responds:

I smiled when I translated Teflon Lady for World, and that is one of its meanings.

I’m putting it up now. Thursday after this. Note someone who intends to take advantage is intimidated when he/she sees you sharing freely with others. That is so true! And you must attract those with your style.

Tarot Readings for You for October 26-27, 2017 Thursday-Friday©

The most common question in romance that psychics get asked is ‘Why won’t he?’  Gals always think something went wrong, or that they did some faux pas.  Often, that isn’t the case:  Gal has been careful.  Often, it’s an inner conflict with the guy – that’s actually the most often Tarot analysis that I report to an inquirer.  So here is a prime example of that.

.

You can learn to do talks with Tarot like this with the Tarot Email Training course, which you can investigate by activating that bar that says ‘Get Them Now.’

.

You can delve into the card’s interactions with one another, and into their individual meanings, by putting one or two cards’ names into a Google search bar.  Google sends you the archives of our site, and you can even click on the ‘more’ at the bottom of the set of six, and really get into those meanings, all seven years of them!

.

And you can get a 3-card Tarot analysis of whatever you are thinking about from Emily, done just like this one.  Start by going to the Email Reading navigation tab up there.  It’s inexpensive too.

.

.

Question:  He does not seem to want to be in any kind of relationship with me. When I ask him about it he always says that he is interested but does not make any plans and is unromantic. I want to know why he does not want to be with me, what went wrong, what’s stopping him?

.

.

Question: I want to know why he does not want to be with me, what went wrong, what’s stopping him?

.

Seven of Wands – Hermit – King of Wands

In the face of his passion, he forces himself to be celibate.

In the face of – Seven of Wands

his passion, – King of Wands

he forces himself to be – Seven of Wands

celibate (old and slow). – Hermit

.

.

Strength – Knight of Swords – Six of Wands

Running from a woman who has controlling influence on him.

Running to get away from – Knight of Swords

a woman whose influence on him – Strength

is controlling and undeclared. – Six of Wands

.

.

Death – Nine of Pentacles – Four of Cups

Can’t resist her, and she is content without him.

Can’t – Death

resist her, – Four of Cups

and she has a life, is content without him. – Nine of Pentacles

.

.

Seven of Swords – Queen of Wands – Seven of Cups

I am not in control; this smart woman has outfoxed me.

I am not in control (have lost control); – Seven of Cups

this smart (wifely) woman – Queen of Wands

has outsmarted and disarmed me. – Seven of Swords

.

.

Chariot – Two of Swords – Nine of Wands

Not being the one in control of the situation makes me nervous.

Not being – Two of Swords

in control of the situation – Chariot

makes me nervous (gives me the willies). – Nine of Wands

.

.

World – Magician – Knight of Pentacles

She isn’t influenced in the least by his most forceful actions.

She isn’t influenced or affected at all – World

no matter how hard he focuses his energy – Knight of Pentacles

on getting that done. – Magician

.

.

This is the ancient story of a guy having to be Lord and Master not only of his fate but of his woman’s. And you clearly don’t even notice (Strength, Nine of Pentacles, Queen of Wands, World are all women who have their affairs in order and under control.)

.

What works best in a situation like this is to quit fiddling with the dial and let him sort himself out. He is hiding under the bed I call it; John Gray dignifies it ‘in his cave.’

.

Client says:

Sure, you have my permission to use any of my readings.

I actually expected that kind of answer to my question because in my own spreads it shows that he is thinking and thinking… I just hope it won’t take him a lifetime.

Thank you, you were very helpful and accurate as always.

.

Emily’s remark:

Tarot, especially Tarot Verbatim, talks to a person through his or her subconscious, so both of us got the same analysis of the same situation.   I love to see examples of that!

Tarot Readings for You for October 2-3, 2017 Monday-Tuesday©

This is different! Sometimes a question is vague, and there’s no history to go on. Who is this, and what is it all about?, you the reader think. You dive in and connect the dots in a consistent way, avoiding assumption as much as possible. Logic and intuition blend, and you cross your fingers.

.

This is just such a question, and Client and I have a discussion about it. Client chooses not to be specific, which is a client prerogative.

.

(Reminding regular visitors that this week I am catching up by posting Email Readings instead of the three-card analytical spreads.  Thursday we go back to the three-card spreads.

So upset about – Nine of Swords

what is legally – Justice

required (no choice) – Ace of Wands

OR

what the judge – Justice

orders. – Ace of Wands

Emily to Client:

This is a complex matter, with parties and the nature of the business both unidentified, so I don’t know how well this relates to the situation. Let me know if this makes no sense to you. I did an extra spread which indicates the decision is made unequivocally (no choice) by King of Cups who is a meek man, a weak man, or a regulation.

.

.

Client to Emily

Hi Emily,

I am getting back to you after a while, because I could not make sense of the reading when I received it.

Now, part of it has taken form.  The young man gave his word that he would give it his best shot.  So (since in my opinion he has potential) I agreed to partner up with him and partially financed his entry fee.

He is keeping his word and putting in some effort, but I get the feeling that he may think this is more work than he bargained for.

Do not have a clue about the rest of the reading.  Could it also be read differently?

Next time maybe we should get on the phone.  Tell me how we can do that.

Have a nice day.

.

.

Emily to Client

Pieces of it can be read to contradict other parts. The way I read it, it is as consistent as I can make it, which is likely to be the most accurate.

.

Since I live in the wilderness, and three phone companies are involved in my phone service in a way I will never understand, telephone connections tend to be not ideal even for domestic calls, let alone international ones. The 208 993-1657 is the line I do readings on.

.

It is wiser to identify what the project is. Even, maybe, to ask ‘will the man do what is expected of him,’ or ‘what I expect of him,’ or will he do XYZ (some specific action). Questions with that form identify the situation in such a way the meanings of the cards can be applied with more certainty and precision. Not doing that, it’s still a valid question, but a general question that must needs get a general answer. The reader (me in this case) therefore ‘goes out on a limb,’ as I did when I made Six of Pentacles ‘paying a third party.’ Six of Pentacles means, in business deals, to pay a person fairly for his labor.

.

It looked like a business deal to me. You asked what you would see him do. Be aware that is (deliberately) a little different question from what he actually does – it leaves out whatever part you don’t see him do.

.

This story says, yes, he is in over his head and (Nine of Wands) hanging in there because he gave his word (Page of Wands). It goes on to say that men take over (King of Pentacles and Emperor, two controlling men) and leave a woman (maybe you) out of it (presumably out of the project, or maybe out of a part of it), that she is angry (Queen of Swords is not getting what’s rightfully hers, and is angry). I suspect what the Queen of Swords is left out of and angry about is paying a third party (free lancer who does know how to do what Mr. C. is having trouble with?).

.

The ‘big announcement,’ Judgment, would be the woman’s demand (Queen of Swords is a woman making a demand) and she is straightening the situation out (Strength, the woman who prevents harm by being proactive). Judgment is a legal card, so the woman may call down regulators (King of Cups is a bureaucrat or a regulator or an agency, and Queen of Swords is ‘the complainant’ or the plaintiff in litigation). King of Cups, really, could be another man in the story, too.

.

The way I connect these dots is: The lady expects the Subject to do something re this project. The man tries, sweats it out, but hangs in there. Then he involves other people (the two controlling men, the kings), and they do it their way – ‘make the decision and leave the woman out of it,’ King of Pentacles and World).

.

Judgment is also a surprise discovery, so when the woman finds out about this she has a lot to say (Queen of Swords), and takes action herself to get the situation going her way (Strength) – and Strength is a ‘stronger than the problem’ kind of Tarot card.

.

The last spread shows how upset, possibly horrified (Nine of Swords) Mr. Subject is when the woman, presumably you, gets annoyed and takes action to prevent something she sees as a problem. (Guess: she prevents the payment.)

.

If my way of connecting these dots is correct, you will discover something, probably an expense, that calls for corrective action on your part.

.

We can hash this out verbally if you wish to call. This writing may clarify the answer though. (And this took a lot of time).

.

Give it some time. Poke around.

Emily

Tarot Readings for You for August 16, 2017 Wednesday©

Wednesdays will be the day for Email readings, since Wednesday covers only one day (that’s in theory of course). This email reading is split between two relationships Client is interested in. She wants clarification re their perspective on her. We discover two opposite views the two men have: One is confident and the other very much not so.

.

You can have a reading just like this – just check out the Email Readings tab, above. You can also get the combined meanings of any two Tarot cards by typing them into Google, or any one card – but put ‘Tarot Verbatim’ after the single-card search if you want to limit it to just the archives of our site here.

.

UPDATE ON THE LESSONS: Techs have waved the white flag. They need until September to start the lessons, and that’s September 1, the first Friday. I have all my fingers crossed.

The category of life is:: Love

My question is:: I have 2 men in my life right now and I’m confused about who I should choose. I suppose it would help me decide between the two if I knew how they feel about me.

I agree. But this question is off-kilter. I’m sure you don’t want to know how they jointly feel about you. And you haven’t pegged them. So I shall ask Man #1’s view of you, then Man #2’s view of you, and let you take it from there. I used two different decks for this so cards would not be missing from the second question.

Man #1’s view of you, how he feels about you

.

Four of Wands – Lovers – Knight of Wands

He is on his way to being your love partner in a committed union/marriage.

He is on his way (pursuing) – Knight of Wands

to being your love partner – Lovers

Justice – Six of Pentacles – Temperance

You and he are in an intimate mutual union, are committed, and are treating one another the right way.

You and me are in an intimate mutual union, we talk, – Temperance

are committed, – Justice

and are treating one another like that – treating one another right.” – Six of Pentacles

.

Knight of Pentacles – Two of Wands – Sun

He knows one thing for sure: A happy future, being free, and that’s a plan.

He knows one thing for sure: – Knight of Pentacles

A happy – Sun

future – Two of Wands

being free – Sun

and that’s a plan. – Two of Wands

*If this fellow is married, ‘taken’ in some way, or lives in another town, Sentence 1 (Four of Wands = home; Knight of Wands = leaving) and Sentence 3 (Two of Wands = for sure; Sun = getting away from the restrictions, being relieved and happy, it’s fun) picture him leaving and having a future with you.

.

.

.

Man #2’s view of you, how he feels about you

.

Nine of Wands – Three of Swords – Judgment

He is afraid of another split-up or divorce.

He is afraid – Nine of Wands

Queen of Cups – Seven of Pentacles – Chariot

Does she think I am in control and responsible here?”

He is in doubt: Does – Seven of Pentacles

I am in control and responsible, a manly leader, here? – Chariot

.

.

Seven of Wands – Nine of Cups – King of Swords

How he struggles to be the man he wants to be – the decisive manly leader.

More than anything, he wants to be – Nine of Cups

a decisive manly man – King of Swords

and that’s a challenge; the odds are against it.

Queen of Wands In Tarot Verbatim™ Queen of Wands is the main card for Wife. When she represents the gal a dude is dating, he is usually conflicted and nervous about committing, or is ready for the trip to the altar. Queen of Wands is not only the wife, but the marrying kind or ‘the kind you marry,’ the matriarch (as is Queen of Pentacles), and the housewife.

.

Queen of Wands can translate ‘domestic,’ she is so associated with home – and therefore with house. She is associated with an orderly house and an orderly home life. Also an orderly business life, where Queen of Wands tends to be the manager. So Queen of Wands maintains and organizes her corner of the world. (And by the way, the word ‘domestic’ for Queen of Wands occasionally will indicate one’s county or origin as ‘domestic country.’

.

As a person, Queen of Wands is sensible, organized, no-nonsense, pragmatic or even blunt. I think of her as The Mama and as a ‘nurse type,’ and she can be the country-woman – as King of Wands, the husband card, can be the country-boy.

Hierophant – You see a picture of the pope and his assistants doing their normal ritual, and this concept expands to most of Hierophant’s meanings. Hierophant means anything churchy. It says ‘respectable,’ and it covers words like: behave, proper, acceptable, and in good order.

.

The ritual is the ordinary doings of these people, is official business, and is done in the proper way. Hierophant’s ‘official’ meaning extends to include ‘on paper’ official things like titles, certificates, the name of something or someone. Hierophant is about keeping up appearances.

.

It’s an ordinary day these rituals are done in. You can picture the people being bored with the whole thing that they do maybe every blessed day. So Hierophant means: Perfectly normal, ordinary, safe, okay. This meaning stretches into being average, being median or middle – including being middle class.

.

Hierophant means ‘harmless’ or no harm being done – just a nice peaceful day like all the others.

.

Hierophant means ‘physical,’ as Page of Wands does. The point of Hierophant is ‘face’ or appearances in the ‘real physical world’ as opposed to the spiritual side of religion. So it will sometimes translate ‘physically.’

.

Hierophant means ‘type of person.’ It refers to the class or classification of anything. Remember that when the subject is science.

Nine of Wands Mr. Border Guard is hanging in there, sweating it out, anxious and fearful about when the enemy is going to return and wound him again. His head wound sometimes gives meanings about headache as well as worse head problems. Most of Nine of Wands meanings arise directly out of this situation. Some of his phrases are less obvious, like today’s ‘no matter what.’

.

Nine of Wands is all about bad feelings that are pretty much in the category of anxiety fear, worry, misgivings, strain, pressure, suffering through, hanging in there, being defensive, dread, being uneasy, and being on guard.

.

Nine of Wands also describes feeling or being out of place – not fitting in, and being self-conscious about that.

.

.

.

Queen of Wands and Hierophant are right at home with one another: Hierophant is the rules, and Queen of Wands makes the rules, enforces them and exemplifies them. She is the wife, and Hierophant is the ‘ holy’ in holy matrimony. She ‘ runs a clean machine’ – keeps an orderly house, an orderly household too. She manages a business in the same no-nonsense by-the-rules way. And Hierophant represents that clean, orderly approach.

.

Nine of Wands comes along and casts a pall over the serendipity of his fellow cards. He takes the phrases they are accomplishing – things like keeping my corner of the world clean, keeping up appearances, having a middle-class home life, things being peaceful at my place, keeping my home in good order, being the respectable wife or having one, being a married woman, staying safe at home – and adds his spoiler phrases to their story, phrases like: getting on my nerves, feeling out of place about it, being under pressure to, being very self-conscious about, ‘ no matter what,’ being worried, having a bad feeling about what’s out there, misgivings, being on the defensive, suffering through, straining to, fear, dread, unease, on guard.

Tarot Readings for You for April 6-7, 2017 Thursday-Friday©

GUIDANCE             You’re familiar with normalcy bias. Today we look at the opposite pole. Today we look at how *the ghost of trauma past* shadows our expectation when times get *nice and normal, secure and boring*. It’s almost like we have run out of trouble and where the heck is the rest of it? Don’t get stuck at this pole, I remind myself.

.

.

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in!

People love this place! Our site is divided into three sections: Guidance; Group Tarot Cards Readings; Learn Tarot by Observing and Learn Tarot by Pictures.

So what do you want to do? –

Did you come here for YOUR PREDICTIONS? daily trends? –

*Then you read the one-sentence readings below titled GROUP TAROT CARDS READINGand you’re done: See you tomorrow. Invite your friends. At the very bottom are comments. New! – the black boxes to the right as you scroll down allow you to comment right there.

GROUP TAROT CARDS READING is the actual word-for-word messages from the pictures of the three cards you see – to everyone. These readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. GROUP TAROT CARDS READING

Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.

.

Tarot Readings: Two of Wands and Hierophant and Star

.. …..

Going to be okay in spite of some misgivings.

So damned tired of this, but you’re going to be fine.

When things are so good for so long, we feel apprehensive.

Feeling squeamish about being such a religious conservative.

We go through so much to have a secure middle-class lifestyle.

I’m conservative with my pension money because I’m a worrywart.

Plan to keep things the way they are and not let THAT happen again.

It’s those safe investments that you should hang onto no matter what.

.

Tarot Readings: Two of Wands and Nine of Wands

.. … ..

I will always dread being average.

Tense about my plan to go straight.

As long as my guard is up, I’m all right.

Past harm is your foundation for future security.

Expecting the next battle where peace is a sure thing.

Whatever you are worried about, it’s going to be okay.

Uneasy, and going to be more respectable in the future.

Why do I expect the worst when it’s just business as usual?

.

Tarot Readings: Hierophant and Nine of Wands

. …..n

It’s perfectly normal to worry about the future.

Usually I am edgy, but I’m sure of myself now.

Under pressure to pass, as this will make money for you.

Haunted by what happened, but the future looks good now.

Hanging in there that things are gonna be as good as they usually are.

I’m doing fine and expect things to be fine but times like this are trying.

Afraid the worst will happen when we’re safe now and the outlook is rosy.

.. ….. …        .

Two of Wands – This Very Important Person owns the real estate below, and he is on his rooftop looking at it, planning for even more profit. He’s got the world in his hands, is an established businessman, secure. He has money in the bank or is a bank. (Your landlord.) Two of Wands is conservative and is Establishment – in the various ways those words appear.

.

The main interpretation of Two of Wands regards the future – the word future, making future tenses of verbs, and words like ‘expect’ and ‘outlook.’ Another aspect of the future meanings are the long term meanings. Phrases like ‘as long as’ or ‘so good for so long’ also belong to Two of Wands.

.

Another extremely common translate for Two of Wands is security: being secure, feeling secure, a sure thing.

.

Two of Wands is planning, in this picture. So Two of Wands means plan and similar words.

.

Two of Wands is very much about money, finances, financial planning, business plan, profit, budget, as well as the word ‘projected’ when it involves a plan, money, or a money plan. And since Two of Wands means both money and the future, it also means any phrase about both, like: projected income, money in the future, will make money, future profit, future security, going to do well, etc.

Hierophant – You can relax now – the pope is here – nothing bad is happening. When you see Hierophant, it’s business as usual, it’s okay and it’s all right, acceptable, there’s no harm, we’re doing fine, the situation is safe, normal, no harm to it.

.

Hierophant is one of the good cards; it even belongs to the Tarot group that translates ‘good.’ It’s also one of the Establishment-oriented Tarot cards that can translate ‘conservative.’ It means usual, average, middle-of-the-road, middle-class, ordinary, normal, what’s expected and accepted (and acceptable). Hierophant means ‘respectable’ often, and is moral, decent, upfront, and ‘in the real physical world.’ It appears to signal someone in your story can be trusted, is harmless in that setting.

.

The emphasis in Hierophant is the surface, the face of things, official reality and the official story. It’s who you portray yourself as and who everybody and everything portrays itself as. That side of Hierophant grows out of the difference in the public presentation the church makes of its teachings, and the version reserved for those in the know.

Nine of Wands Dread. That’s our Nine of Wands man: haunted by the past, been through hell and afraid it’s coming back. A wounded soldier who’s still on guard duty is a wonderful way to illustrate both ‘hanging in there’ in spite of misgivings, and to illustrate the hangover we get when we have weathered ordeal experiences and survived them but still don’t trust the environment.

.

Nine of Wands also applies to being edgy, tense, feeling squeamish, expecting the worst, being under pressure, and being afraid the worst will happen. Nine of Wands is your worrywart. The card also appears to represent that which you (or anyone) is worrying over.

.

Nine of Wands describes that ‘hanging in there’ phases we all go through when times are trying and we are being tried by the times. It also shows up for being ‘sick and tired of this’

.

Yeah, Nine of Wands is the kind of Tarot card that immediately sends you looking for a rescue card. Today he is in the company of not one but two cards that say everything is all right and is going to be all right.

.

.

.

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

                    LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES..

. ….. ..

Two of Wands and Hierophant are both very secure; Nine of Wands obviously feels insecure. Two of Wands and Hierophant are very Establishment; Nine of Wands is defensive about that. Nine of Wands is scary; Hierophant is ‘ situation normal.’

Two of Wands expects the best but Nine of Wands expects the worst.

.

Tarot cards like Two of Wands and Hierophant in the same sentence sometimes ‘do double duty.’ They mean the same thing in that sentence, so you don’t repeat that phrase. For example, “ You’re going to be fine.” Two of Wands all by itself says that. Hierophant also is ‘ be fine.’ So you only say ‘ be fine’ once … of course. Two of Wands by itself is ‘ so good so long,’ and Hierophant is ‘ so good.’ You don’t have to find another phrase for Hierophant in either of those sentences. “ I’m conservative with my pension money” is another example. Two of Wands is pension, is being secure with money, and it means conservative. Hierophant means conservative. In the same way, Nine of Wands is worry about the future, and Two of Wands is the future. There are several other examples of this overlap of meanings in today’s sentences. Think of this overlap as an echo. An echo that means to indicate which meaning of those cards to use.

.

This spread is a fine example of how two ‘good cards’ gang up on a ‘bad card’ and make a ‘bad card lite’ of it in that sentence. Today we have ‘ Nine of Wands lite’ because both Two of Wands and Hierophant say ‘everything’s all right for sure’ and say ‘everything’s going to be all right ahead.’ They frame Nine of Wands’ dread as being in the past, or as just a feeling. They act as rescue cards today.

.

Nine of Wands shows a soldier with a bandaged head who’s still on guard duty. Here’s what Nine of Wands straight can be like: “You are trapped in a situation that has already harmed you in some way, and you are hanging in there standing your ground as it constantly wears you down. Tension is unremitting and you are uneasy for some good reason that you just have to put up with and live through, or at least that is what you feel you must do: Nine of Wands is Alamo time or Alamo mood.”

.

Hierophant and Two of Wands complement one another intricately along the lines of meaning ‘ a sure thing.’ Hierophant means respectable, official, conservative; Two of Wands means security, financial security, control and financial control. Two of Wands is a plan, an outlook, a projection, and long term.

Hierophant and Two of Wands also complement one another along the lines of Establishment normalcy. Hierophant is religion ( or church); Two of Wands is the bank (or financier, or the man who owns the town). Hierophant is respectability, and Two of Wands is stability.

.

So we have stories about being uncomfortable in comfortable circumstances, which comes across as an invitation to perk the heck up.

To err on the side of caution is something we oft learn the hard way, yes? We don’t want to go charging in where angels fear to tread. But the flip side to that philosophy is: You can come out to play when it’s safe. These days ahead are destined to be the good old days, so don’t miss out. Ding-dong, the wicked witch is dead now. It’s safe to make real-world plans because their outlook now is pretty rosy.

Nine of Wands You have a bandaged head to show for their last visit, and here you are standing up to their next, holding your ground. Under pressure and apprehensive (fearful), sweating it out, or at least very uncomfortable, you draw a line in the sand and you guard that line.

.

Or maybe you give people the willies, get on their last nerve, so they put you on the spot because you make them defensive because, well, they are guilty, they deserve to suffer, and you are the one pointing the finger of accusation. Nine of Wands is also about being put on the spot.

.

There’s an issue here. Or are you just haunted by a past encounter? Is this about headaches? Are you inhabiting a daunting environment? You are under pressure of what? – accusation? – someone who’s annoying as hell? – or is it just that ‘something’s out there’ or ‘something’s up’ feeling we get from time to time?

.

So here you have tension of some sort if the subject of the Tarot reading is social. Most often, Nine of Wands is worry, fear, tension, nervous, defensiveness, being haunted by, tensing up, or under pressure.

.

Don’t forget that Nine of Wands can refer to a literal head wound, or to headaches, or any ailment of the head that is physical.

Magician Male gender and action. That’s Magician in a nutshell. On the one side, put all the male pronouns and all the first person pronouns (including possessive ones). Don’t forget the ‘myself’ and the ‘himself’ ones. On the other column put every form of action words you can think – do, make, act – as well as phrases like ‘bring about’ and ‘bring down.’

.

Because Magician is the start of something. Magician is initiative. Magician is the startup and the introduction.

.

That’s because as the ‘1’ of the Major Arcanae, Magician is the male principle, and the male principle is action as distinguished from thinking and being. This card sticks very closely to those meanings, more than the other first-line Major Arcanae do.

.

Eight of WandsLike the arrows from the famous archers of the English armies the wands fly through the air. Fast movement, repetitive movement (which Eight of Pentacles also means), numbers of items (plurals): The picture tells you these things easily. You can see the list there too.

.

But Eight of Wands is the number one speak/tell/say Tarot card, at least in the Tarot Verbatim™ system. It just is. Any kind of communication at all, including texting, documents, books, telepathy … anything.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

. ….. …..

Here in the middle, our Magician self is set to act. To the left is hesitation to do that (under pressure?); to the right is all of it and right now. Factors to taking action are many, and some are adverse factors. It is these adverse factors that will make our story because Magician simply means the ‘he’ and the ‘do’ and Eight of Wands simply means plural things, continual, and talking about it. So the story line to our reading is going to be the story of the border guard here. That’s the lay of the Tarot land.

.

And the story of the wounded vet here is standing your ground despite those adverse factors. That applies in any way you can apply it, all the way from taking an unpopular stand, to being accused of anything at all (or feeling accused), to a situation that makes you uncomfortable, to being annoyed, to being under pressure (here, under pressure to do something, maybe to do it quickly), to defending anything (from your lipstick color to your country), to being afraid (of anything or nothing), to your head hurting (or anyone’s), to sweating it out because it gets on your last nerve. At least, those are the stories we look at today; I’m sure there are some more.

.

As to advice, look carefully, because this message can say ‘Do it all now no matter how it makes them feel’ and ‘All the reasons to be afraid to do this.’ Magician and Eight of Wands are a strong message to act now and to do it all. Nine of Wands is a little more likely to just be nervous about it in this three-card spread here. But the story goes all sorts of ways, and the message depends upon the question … which we don’t have one to go by here.

.

This spread is yet another example of: The question is a large part of an accurate reading.

What if. ‘What if’ is the opposite of ‘Just do it.’ And both ‘what if’ and ‘just do it’ live at the base of our heart and brain. The heart and the brain get together and decide whether to jump off the high dive, wait, or not jump. Some of us are jumpers and some of us hang back and check out the lay of the land because if ‘doing it’ involves moving a mountain, we won’t have time for another project. Guidance

The two classes of people who truly don’t give a damn are great saints and psychopaths, methinks. But there’s another class too, just as rare as the other two: those who simply enjoy the pleasures they have, and have the gift of not coveting additional ones. The rest of us deal with stress and we defend our positions when we feel accused. Today we meditate on the art of not giving a damn!

Could This Be You?

WITHOUT THE PICTURES For the true seeker of Tarot knowledge, here is what you need to know about how the three cards in today’s spread affect one another, and how to apply Tarot Verbatim™. Here too the cards come alive, together.

WHERE EACH PHRASE COMES FROM At a glance, with a color for each card, your subconscious picks up on how the sentences of GROUP TAROT CARDS READING came to be. You feel how individual card meanings reach out and blend, unite, into a sentence. (You can learn this – yes, you!) Your subconscious awareness sees the image and its feeling and your conscious awareness sees the language meaning, the text… so your two minds focus together to see 3D, three dimensionally, the same way your two eyes see depth that one eye does not.

PHRASES FOR ALL THREE TWO CARD COMBINATIONS Are you ready for the final step of this revolutionary Tarot Verbatim™ technique? Now to make it exceedingly plain and simple, we list the expressions each pair of cards makes. We list them in paragraph form rather than itemized so that they flow, and your subconscious clicks into place and ‘gets it.’ You may even find flashes of dreams or intuitive realities as you read these, at times.

The Rider Waite Tarot™ deck is a data bank in mass consciousness that your subconscious can communicate with. Tarot Verbatim™ is the Rosetta Stone that makes that communication easy because it is a bridge between conscious and subconscious thought. When both your levels of awareness focus together, you think intuitively in real time in ‘the real world.’

Bon voyage!

Synopsis

To be or not to be … stressed out and on the defensive. That is the question today. Shall we hang in there for dear life defending turf or beliefs, or shall we artfully not give a damn – or shall we just simply enjoy the life we have and be immune to the issues?

Fool

Fool

Fool  has many and miscellaneous meanings; it’s the most ambiguous of all cards. Today, in the company of one card about stress and one about relaxation, Fool is mostly using its ‘oh never mind’ category of meanings. Fool doesn’t know, doesn’t care, isn’t (whatever) … heck, fool isn’t even there!

Fool also means both ignore and be oblivious to. It means assume and it means guess.

Fool is also a young spirit, a free spirit. ‘Let up on it already,’ it says today.

The picture shows a young person skipping away on a journey with next to no provisions, with his fluffy white dog companion, who is about to skip off the cliff with him. Although this is ‘God protects fools and drunks’ sometimes, Fool is really about the idea that spiritual people live charmed lives. Don’t try this at home.

If you are looking for the deeper philosophy of Fool, Google ‘Fool Tarot Verbatim’ and read from the archives there.

Nine of Wands

Nine of Wands

Nine of Wands guards a turf that is subject to invasion, and feels apprehensive, threatened or intimidated. He has already been wounded, and fears a return of the invaders. So Nine of Wands is about hanging in there in a bad situation. Key words are: nervous, uneasy, anxious, fears, dread, stress, challenge, pressure, have to live with it.

Nine of Wands is defense, and translates ‘defense’ even in legal contexts (like a defense attorney). Feeling defensive, feeling accused, and being accused – either by oneself or by others – belongs to Nine of Wands.

Empress

Empress

Really, all you need to know about Empress is that this card is the synthesis of all the fertility goddesses that ever were. So Empress is beautiful, sexy, pregnant, the ideal woman and the slut – and she has a life of ease and luxury. The story in the picture is: She is the beloved of a wealthy man who keeps her in utmost comfort while she is pregnant.

Empress is a resource. Empress is an easygoing personality, is relaxed. Mother Nature, in a way.

.

Learn Tarot

Now Without The Pictures

Fool is blithe; Nine of Wands has the jitters; Empress is luxuriating: three different approaches. In the middle you have dread and fear. To the left, you have paying no attention. To the right, you have relaxing and enjoying life.

Nine of Wands is nervous, and Empress is a very sexy good-looking gal. So he is nervous around trophy women. Empress is relaxed and Nine of Wands is fearful, tense. You could say Empress is young and pretty; she doesn’t have (Fool) a thing to worry about (Nine of Wands).

Fool is sort of a negator, in that it means to ignore, and to not be. (Not be anything.) Foot says ‘There aren’t any’ too. So Fool and Nine of Wands are ‘Don’t be nervous’ and ‘to have no fear of.’

Fool is a free spirit, and Empress simply enjoys life. This makes stories that contrast with Nine of Wands’ intense uneasiness. ‘How great my life is; I don’t dread a thing,’ they say. Or ‘She is naturally comfortable; she doesn’t stress.’

Empress is pregnant (Fertility goddesses are always pregnant.) so these three cards could be about a problem pregnancy, with a fellow being accused and put on the spot, Nine of Wands, and denying all, Fool – even claiming ‘I wasn’t there,’ which is one of Fool’s meanings. That meaning grows out of Fool’s being the zero. Of course, these same three cards also say ‘She isn’t worried about getting (or being) pregnant.” They could also say – but it would not likely show up this way – ‘She is worried about not being pregnant.’

Empress can be the ideal woman and can be the slut. These three cards could tell the story of a man who sees no reason at all (Fool) to defend or stand up for (Nine of Wands) that trollop (Empress as slut). Nine of Wands defends, and being oblivious, Fool, is ‘seeing no reason.’

Tarot Readings for You for June 15, 2016 Wednesday©

GUIDANCE        As social animals, we tend to take a cue from the people around us. If they are uneasy or jittery, we too feel defensive. We let jealous people or neurotic people wear us down, and we take family goings-on personally. Tension is in the air for us to pick up on when a couple is warring. If we work for a company that is disliked, we actually take on a defensive stance. And we are uneasy around touchy people too. Today, we pay attention to this tendency of ours.

We just have to put up with and live through wedding jitters.

A couple faces a hard time and stands their ground.

The house is making me nervous; I’m on pins and needles about what may happen.

Tarot Readings: Four of Wands and Nine of Wands

.. …..

Being trapped in a marriage is a panic.

Defending yourself against family is a never-ending grind.

This family gets on my last nerve and drives me crazy.

I’m so afraid of hurting people’s feelings.

When people around you are uneasy, you take it personally.

Tensions between a warring couple put tension in the air.

This company is perceived as a threat, so we have to be alert.

You never know what’s going to happen when you are faced with getting married.

I’m one of those people who is anxious and always feeling defensive.

Members are antsy about what may be happening here.

Edgy people make me as tense as they are.

Are you uneasy around touchy people too?

Jealousy is a threat to our union.

You defend those people so much you come under the same suspicion.

Four of Wands A society wedding is a public occasion here, as the business of all the people who are part of the, shall we say, tax base. So Four of Wands, besides being marriage and family, is about membership and belonging. In Tarot Verbatim’s™ Rider Waite interpretations, all three marriage cards also represent group life of humans, from the couple to family to neighborhood to city, county, state, nation, world and whatever else may be.

.

Today Four of Wands is marriage and spouse and wedding and the house as usual, and it is also ‘people.’

.

The other marriage cards that also represent human groups, clans and tribes are Ten of Cups (which shows a couple with two kids in a good neighborhood) and Ten of Pentacles, the negative one, which shows a family quarrel in what could be construed as either a good or a bad neighborhood.

Page of Swords You could call him free-floating anxiety, or ambient stress, or even idiopathic anger, but the short cut way to think of Page of Swords is ‘adrenaline.’ Because he is in an excited state for any cause: thrilled, jealous, anticipating, feeling threatened, on pins and needles, panic, being driven crazy, afraid, tension, taking something personally, being on the alert or on the lookout, antsy, edgy, angry, irritated, touchy, defensive, assertive, or caffeine jitters. Yes, this is the card for a hyped-up person.

.

Page of Swords is when you feel something’s up and don’t know why, and Page of Swords is when you are picking up the emotional disturbance in the air. Page of Swords is things going ‘bump’ in the night. And Page of Swords is the night before the big test, when you are studying like crazy, dreading, and nervous about the score.

Nine of Wands You are trapped in a situation that has already harmed you in some way, and you are hanging in there standing your ground as it constantly wears you down. Tension is constant and you are uneasy for some good reason that you just have to put up with and live through, or at least that is what you feel you must do: Nine of Wands is Alamo time.

.

Nine of Wands also comes up for being under suspicion, for being on the defensive as you are persecuted or harassed, and for being accused – for things like staying in an abusive situation. It’s also for real soldiers in real battles, and for wounded veterans, because our guy guarding that border has a head would. (Speaking of which Nine of Wands can speak of a head wound or headaches.)

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.. ….. …       ..

A three-card spread in which two of them are near-identical and one is bland or neutral tends to be difficult to make more than a few sentences out of. This is such a spread. Page of Swords and Nine of Wands are both all about fear, anxiety, tension, apprehension, being on edge, being on guard, being on the defensive, feeling pressured, feeling very uncomfortable, antsy, uneasy and even touchy. Both Page of Swords and Nine of Wands feel threatened by ‘something out there’ and are holding their ground re that. And these are the main meanings of each.

.

The reason Tarot has these similar cards is to indicate a theme for a larger spread. When two of these twins meet up in close three-card quarters, you are going to have some fancy phrasing to do. Which, yes, we have done here.

.

Nine of Wands has a fresh wound from his battle with something. He dreads the thing that hurt him coming back, but he is there holding his ground despite the fear. The card applies to emotional wounds most of its practical real-life Tarot spread life, but the picture shows a wounded soldier still on duty guarding the fort, hanging in there and sweating it out. Note there is no expectation of winning in Nine of Wands, only a hope of surviving. Note also Nine of Wands is long-term, chronic, unremitting.

.

Page of Swords has two main applications. One of them is similar to Nine of Wands, and that’s the one of being fearful of the unseen, of things that go ‘bump’ in the night. Page of Swords too is on edge, pressured, and dreading what next.

.

But Page of Swords is also the nerved-up-for-no-reason annoying neurotic, the pest, the irritating irrational around you. He tends to hang out with Seven of Wands as the mouthy mooch who intends to annoy you into doing (or not doing) something. Page of Swords is not a grownup, not the seasoned veteran we see in Nine of Wands.

.

So who’s the third element to complete this picture? – Four of Wands. Four of Wands is just other people, from a couple to a family to a neighborhood, and on out to any size group of people that has something in common – maybe something as inconsequential and random as a border. Four of Wands is ‘us,’ ‘them,’ ‘people’ and ‘those people’ or ‘that company’ or ‘that family.’ Today it represents both the people or company that is the source of the .. angst the other two cards represent, or is people who are feeling that .. angst.

So today’s message is a reminder that things around you can affect you like a virus on a doorknob does, and not to catch the dis-ease emitted by ... disturbed fellow humans.

Some days and some people get to you, often people who aren’t really part of your story who want you to be part of theirs for no good reason. Mr. Gulliver had that problem, if you remember, in Lilliput. It’s a constant grinding letdown trying to live a life that makes sense among people who do not. (We salute you.)
